Jerome dried himself off and changed his shirt even though his hair remained a bit wet. He was up on the second floor in a bathroom, and Amber found him in there.

"What happened?" Amber asked sternly.

"Joy happened," Jerome responded. "But I don't want you involved with her. The last thing we need is drama in this house."

"Too late for that," Amber muttered. Amber sighed. "Fine, I won't start any trouble with her. I'll be a good girl." Amber smiled and left.

Later, Fabian called everyone for the meeting in the kitchen.

"Where's Joy?" he questioned as they surrounded the table. After no one responded, he just moved on. "Patricia, do you have the riddle?"

"Ok," Patricia nodded. She read the riddle:

"Dire, dire,
Dire circumstances consumed in fire,
Birthed in desire.
What is it you seek?
Me?
Dire, dire,
Lose your desire,
Or you shall all perish."

"Riddle? Sounds more like Apep's threatening to kill us," Alfie said. "Where's that portal; we need to get out of here."

"It's closed, Alfie. And we're not opening it," Eddie responded.

"But we brought all those gold bars with us. Come on!"

Suddenly, everyone jumped from a sudden rattle of a window out in the foyer. They all went out the kitchen and saw that it was storming outside. The dog began barking making them jump once more.

Joy came rushing out her room towards the door.

"What're you doing?" Nina questioned.

"Well, we can't just leave him out there." Joy opened the door and Erik came slipping inside. Joy guided Erik into her room.

Thunder bellowed and the lights flickered and Amber screamed.

"This is gonna be a long night," Patricia groaned.

The storm raged on throughout the night, and in Fabian's room, Nina cuddled up against Fabian's chest. In such a quiet, peaceful moment, Nina wanted to only think about them in that moment, but her mind couldn't help but wander off to the mystery at hand.

"So, perish huh?"

"We won't die," Fabian assured. "We have you and the Osirion. Have you ever died before?"

"Not me, but there have been others..."

"Ok, they were revived, so they're fine," Fabian smiled.

Nina was silent for a bit then changed the subject. "So...after all this is over...what do you plan on doing with your life?"

"I don't know. Continuing my job of course-wait, what exactly do you mean?"

Fabian was clueless. Nina wanted to bring up a proposal somehow. She was waiting for Fabian to propose to her. "Like, with me. Us, Fabian."

"Us? Well, what more us do we need to think about?" That may not have come out how Fabian intended.

Anger boiled inside Nina. She suddenly outbursted. She rose to her feet and looked at him as he sat up. "Fine, Fabian! Be clueless as heck! I'm trying to make you understand, but you just don't get it, do you?!"

Eddie came busting in through the doorway. "Is everything alright? Nina, are you ok? I'm starting to feel really angry, and I don't have a reason to be angry, so I'm guessing it's one of those Osirion moments, so is everything fine?"

Nina took deep breaths. "Y-yeah, it's fine."

"Great. But please, calm down because it's really toying with my emotions." Eddie left their presence.

"Um..." Fabian swallowed.

"Whatever, Fabian." Nina exited his room.

When Eddie went back to his room, He laid down to calm down. That was the first time he actually felt her emotion, and it was quite strange. He was in a pretty good mood and then felt a bit irritable and angry which collided with his good mood and left him confused.

Just another complication of being the Osirion.

As Eddie was laying down, either he was calming myself down, or Nina was calming down and he along with her. It was pretty strange to have a random emotion suddenly activate inside him while he still had his own real emotion.
