House of Awakenings/House of Marks
Patricia was napping in Eddie's room when she heard gasps of air around noontime. She woke up and saw Eddie suddenly sitting up. Patricia crawled over to him and pulled herself up onto the bed, and Eddie immediately embraced her in a hug.
Fabian suddenly bursted into the room.
"He's up too," he acknowledged.
"Nina's woken up?" Patricia asked, looking back.
Fabian nodded.
Fabian brought Nina into Eddie's room and called a meeting for the others to come. They all filed inside, their attention directed towards Eddie and Nina who were sitting on the bed.
"What happened?" Patricia asked.
Eddie and Nina glanced eachother. Eddie replied, "Emptiness-that's what happened."
"Darkness," Nina added.
"Loneliness."
"I don't exactly understand."' Amber tilted her head.
"It was nothingness," Eddie breathed. "I think it's the same for both of us. There was no one there; there was nothing. It was just dark and empty."
"Nothing else?" Jerome questioned.
Nina shook her head. Eddie continued, "That was it, but it was horrible. Nothing is the scariest thing in the world."
Joy thought of something. "Nina, what did you do in your vision to cause this?"
"I-I touched Apep."
Everyone stared at her, even Eddie since he didn't know exactly what happened either.
"She touched Apep in a vision, and it does this," Joy said, now speaking to the entire group. "I should research more about what we're up against-"
"-no, no," Amber butted-in. "Fabian, can research. You, can stay out of the way."
"I'll get on it," Fabian declared, going to his room to get his laptop.
"Is there some grudge against Joy?" Eddie asked.
"And Alfie." Amber glared at him.
"Just know, it wasn't my idea," Alfie pointed out.
Joy glared at him and so did Jerome, Amber, and Patricia.
"I'll shut up now." Alfie closed his mouth.
"Jerome, Patricia, and I can explain everything while Joy and Alfie go to their rooms," Amber announced boldly.
Joy and Alfie left quietly.

Fabian reported information to the others in the kitchen later on that day. He typed up what he found and left up the sources as well.
"In ancient Egypt, it was believed that Apep originally went after Osiris, mainly for his crook or cane."
"Cane, like Jerome's cane-cane?" Alfie clarified.
"Yes, a cane like that, Alfie." Fabian continued. "He realized a person on earth, known as the Osirion, existed and thought it be easier to get to any possessions of Osiris through him. So, Apep left the underworld in constant search of the Osirion. He then found the Osirion and Paragon to be inseparable, so he targeted them both. In his constant quest, he realized that the power that lied within these two people could make him the strongest god to ever exist. So, since then, he's strived to kill him and take their power."
"Makes sense," Jerome commented. "Why aim for one thing when you can aim for one thing and then get everything after that?"
Fabian continued with his next finding. "If the Osirion and Paragon get involved in affiliations with Apep, Apep will begin his attacks discreetly. And this here I think applies to recent situations: if either the Osirion or Paragon make direct contact with Apep, bad things can and/or will happen to them."
"Like that coma," Alfie muttered.
"It's not direct contact if I touched him in a vision, right?" Nina asked, looking around. "Right?"
"I don't know," Fabian responded. "You two did go unconscious on us all. Honestly, the only people who can tell us actual truths about the Paragon and Osirion are the two in the living flesh."
Everyone directed their attention to Eddie and Nina.
"Wait, what if something worse happens then what already did? How bad can things get?" Eddie asked.
"I didn't find that," Fabian told him truthfully.
"Does that mean we have to wait for something bad to happen?" Patricia questioned.
"That sounds fun," Amber sarcastically moaned.
"Just keep us up to date on everything," Fabian instructed. "Everything."

Late at night, Eddie was alone in his room sleeping when he woke up from a burning pain on his pectoralis(muscle connecting chest to shoulder; the mushy part between the chest and shoulder). He got out of bed, turned on the light, and went to the mirror. He pulled down his shirt just enough to see the source of pain. Some type of hieroglyphic had burnt itself into his skin there. He instantly thought of the entire Apep situation. What if that was from Nina touching Apep? Did she have it too?
Eddie pulled his shirt back over the mark. He took a deep breath to calm himself down and turned off the light. Maybe he could get some sleep and it just wouldn't be there tomorrow.

Here's another chapter for you lovelies!
Do you think that hieroglyphic mark is from Apep?
Should he tell the others?
What could the mark possibly mean or do?
