Arachnids Story (Part Two)
Alright, before I go any further, I'd like to thank ShadowDraws for the Arachnid picture, its so amazing! Shadow also made a picture of Arachnid with Abyssal, Shadows Sea/Nightwing OC, go check it out, its so cute!!! Anywhoo, continuing the story...
"Wake up!" A voice yells, interupting my dream. I slowly open my eyes, the light blinding me. "Wake up!" The voice yells again, this time, a tail whacks me on the head as well.
"Im getting up!" I groan. I stand up, spreading my wings. I illuminate my spiderweb patterns a few times, admiring them.
"Now!" My mom, Seaweed, yells at me. My mother hates me, ever since my dad, Startalons, drowned a few years ago.
Mom says it was my fault. I had flown into the lake, causing Dad to chase after me, which resulted in him drowning. I don't believe her. I don't even remember Dad that well. A few months later my brother, Centipede (Yup, sticking with bugs...), hatched. Mom loved him, he looks exactly like Dad, minus the illuminating scales. She pushed me away, giving him all the attention. I'm used to it, prefer it, even.
Everything has bounderies though. When Mom sent me off to school, letting Centipede stay home with her, I broke. She'd sent me away, keeping her favorite dragonet close. Maybe she'd hoped that I would like school, and stay there for a while. I didn't.
On my first day of school, I'd gotten bullied twice. Apparently, spiderweb patterns aren't normal. The first time was just some teasing, saying my wings were weird and stuf like that. The second time though, they stole some of my papers. I liked writing, and wrote stories on pieces if paper I found. They teased me for that too.
On my second day, they stole more of my papers, and some of my lunch. A few months of teasing and being bullied later, I finally decided to stand up for myself.
"Is the little spider writing one of her stupid books?" Polar Bear, the one who bullies me the most, teased. Normally, I'd just stand there, letting the insults come. I acted as if they didn't hurt, when really, they hurt more than frostbreath. Polar's an Icewing. A prince, actually.
"Yeah, about your intelligence." I snap at him. I ended up going home with a few scales missing that day. Mom didn't care. She was too busy taking care of her perfect dragonet, Centipede. He'd accidentaly stubbed his toe. He was bawling his eyes out, crying about how badly it hurt.
I'm actually kinda glad I wasn't treated like I was perfect. I know I'm not, and I accept it. It would be nice to be noticed sometimes though.
Hey guys! This is going on longer than I expected... I have a question for you guys: Should Centipede be a mean brother, or a nice brother?
