《 Chapter 17: Bizarre Bazaar 》
Damari sluggishly shuts off her phone when an alarm goes off the following morning. She yawns and sits up, stretching, then smiles. Charlotte is dozing off on the bed next to her when she looks down. Charlotte yawns as she gets up, sensing her movement.
"Good morning, Charlotte." Damari greeted, gently stroking her head.
Then she smiles and gets out of bed. She makes her way to the balcony, where she peers out at Pentagram City.
"Good morning, spooky Hell."
Damari continued to smile and take in the scenery for a while before something began to make sense. Her eyes enlarge and she lets out a gasp for a few seconds.
"What that heck?! Why am I getting used to this Hell already?! I'm supposed to be finding a way home!! Gahh!"
Damari is now pacing around, which alarmed Charlotte, who turned to gaze at her human companion worriedly.
"What am I going to do? What am I going to do?"
After a brief moment of contemplation, Damari glances at the music box and a few books she either purchased or borrowed from Pentagram City. Charlotte follows her as she hastily changes into new clothing, gathers her belongings, and leaves the music box behind.
"I'm sure I'll be able to find some answers in no time." she declared.
But Damari is in the parlor now, seemingly mad and muttering a lot while she arranges some documents and photos on a bulletin board, so she was wrong. Though she was unaware, Charlie and the others were alarmed and worried about Damari when they discovered her in this state when they woke up. To get her attention, Charlotte tugged at her leggings, showing that even she is worried.
"Finding a way back home won't be easy. Those colors of the gems on that chest must have meaning behind it. But where can I get it? Maybe at a market or maybe I can call Vox, but I don't think I can trust him. Then there's Velvette with a potion making, but I can't trust her either. Ughhh! Where can I find answers?! Is there any magic books or spells? Do they even know about Earth?? Have they ever tried to find a way to get back there after they died? No, that's crazy! It could!! Oh, maybe...."
"Uh... how long has she been like that?" Vaggie asked with concern.
"Don't know. We just got here." Charlie sweatdropped.
"Uh, Damari? You doing okay?" Angel called out.
Damari snapped herself out of her muttering and turned to them, smiling crazily.
"Oh, no not really! I'm just trying to find a way to get back home! I realized I'm getting too used to this place without thinking about my family that might be worried about me! And I can't seemed to be finding any clues for this!! Books and researching didn't help! Because if I don't find a way home, my parents might died worried sick or they might forget about me, which I don't want that! So I better do it fast!! HAhaHAHAHHA!"
She then returned to mumbling as she repositioned some papers on her bulletin board. Charlie walks over to her, a little awkwardly, and puts her hand on her shoulder.
"Maybe you should take a break. Don't worry about it. We'll find a way to get you back home."
"But I need to find at least some answers that could help!" Damari said.
"Nope. You need to take a break, starting now." Charlie declared, pushing her towards the bar. "You look like you could use some drink."
"Already on it." Husk said, grabbing some bottles. "What would you like?"
Seeing that there's no way to argue her way out of it, Damari sighs in defeat.
"I'll take a Red Queen."
Nodding, Husk gets the glass and sets up her drink before handing it to her. Damari takes a sip and sighs at the taste.
"Thanks..."
As Damari finishes her drink, Husk humbly nods. After moving the bulletin board to the side, Charlie walks over and serves everyone breakfast on a tray in the parlor. Damari sighs as she observes them and realizes she must speak with them.
"Hey, guys."
They all stopped eating and looked at her.
"Now that we've been through a lot and spending time with you all, there's something I'd like to share with you."
"What is it?" Vaggie asked curiously.
Damari gets up and heads upstairs to her room before coming back with a cloth in hand. She sets it down on the table for everyone to see before presenting a music box to them.
"This is how I got here."
They all look down at it in awe.
"Wow." Charlie gasped.
"Shiny." Niffty commented.
"Oh!" Vaggie gasped.
"It's some kind of crazy music box or something. Have you guys seen anything like it before?" Damari asked.
"No. I have never seen anything like this before." Charlie shook her head. "How did it get you here?"
Then, before she was sent to Hell, Damari tells her about how she first met KeeKee, attended her birthday party, and saw the music box at the thrift store.
"That's impossible. How could KeeKee manage to even get to Earth?" Charlie asked, looking confused.
"I honestly have no idea." Damari shrugged.
"May I?" Vaggie asked.
"Sure, I mean, it's busted."
Vaggie takes a music box with a hum and inspects it. She then opens it to find nothing and closes it and opens it again, still nothing.
"Can't seem to find something to make it work."
"Let me try." Angel offered.
Vaggie gives Angel a music box and they take turns testing it for power by prodding random objects until they give up. Alastor finds the music box and hums as he examines it after finding nothing until he notices the gemstones. The once colorful diamonds are now drab grey.
"I think I might have find something that could help."
"Really?"
"You see these gems? Didn't they use to have colors?"
Damari takes a look at it and her eyes widens in realization.
"They used to. They were red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink."
"It looks like these gems need some sort of power to get them back on. I know a place that sell and exchange info. The Bizarre Bazaar market." Alastor informed, surprising them.
"Bizarre Bazaar??" Damari repeated.
"It's a place where they have everything you need. Ranging from angelic weapons to portals to Earth. Some even sell ancient mysterious treasures, artifacts, exotic foods and animals, games."
Damari's eyes sparkles in excitement.
"Really? Maybe someone there will know how my music box works. Where is it?"
Vaggie immediately stopped her.
"Hold up! From what I've heard, that bazaar is full of greedy degenerates. Wave that thing around, and it'll get stolen for sure."
"But, Vaggie. This is my only chance to finding a way home." Damari frowned.
Vaggie's eye softens and she places a hand on her shoulder.
"I know you do. Tell you what. I'll reach out to someone Charlie and I might know and see if they know a thing or two about your music box."
Damari sighs.
"Alright, fine."
"While we can discuss about that mysterious music box, let's discuss our new lesson on how to be redeemed!" Charlie happily announced, making everyone groan.
Returning her music box softly, Damari thinks back to what Alastor mentioned about that market. She is really too impatient and can't wait for it yet. Gazing about, she sees Sir Pentious. Tapping his shoulder, she approaches him. His gaze goes to her.
"Oh, Damari. What is it?"
"Have you ever been to Bizarre Bazaar?" she asked curiously.
"Oh, yeah. It's where I get most of my gear. Why do you ask?"
"Can you please take me there?"
Sir Pentious immediately shook his head.
"Oh, no. I can't. If Vaggie said you can't go there, I cannot take you there either. Plus, we both know what happens if we disobey her."
"But this will be our little secret."
"I don't know, Damari..."
"Come on, Pentious. I can handle myself. I won't cause any trouble. C'mon, Pentious."
Damari approaches him, her gooey eyes fluttering as hearts burst from her, making her appear adorable.
"Pleaaaaasssee??"
At the sight of her face, Sir Pentious blushes and gives an awkward cough.
"Well... I guess we should... But this is only one time we're going, that's it."
Damari looks happy and hugs him.
"Oh, thank you, Pentious. Thank you. When do we leave?"
"Tonight."
"Alright."
After that, Sir Pentious and Damari went to their rooms to get dressed. They had no idea that Husk had heard them and was narrowing his gaze. Later that night, Damari and Sir Pentious slip out of their room without awakening anyone else. They make their way downstairs, where they eventually open the front doors carefully and exit the hotel.
"Yes! We did it!" Damari whisper yelled, opening her backpack where she can see the music box before zipping it back. "Bizarre Bazaar, here we come. Okay, which way?"
Sir Pentious pulls out a red egg with a symbol on it.
"This will show us."
He places the egg down and it starts hatching. Damari and Sir Pentious watches as the egg cracks open to reveal a strange small one eyed creature. It looks at them and runs away, leading Damari pointing towards it.
"Let's go!"
Damari and Sir Pentious quickly hops onto her motorcycle and chases after the creature as it leads through the city and deeper into an alley. After a few more seconds of chasing it, they stopped and Damari parked her motorcycle to the side of the wall and quickly put on her ring, transforming into a swan demon.
"Where'd it go?" she asked, looking around.
Sir Pentious squints his eyes and points up ahead.
"There!"
Sir Pentious is pointing at the weird creature, which is currently trying to burrow into the wall's opening in order to get away from its pursuers. Damari and Sir Pentious leap toward it, but in the end, the creature manages to elude their grasp and Damari fall to her knees in despair.
"No! We were so close!"
Sir Pentious places a hand on her shoulder.
"Hold on."
The lamp poles illuminate, forming a pathway that goes into an unidentified area of the city, as Damari glances up. A sign that matches the one on the egg starts to glow above the gate as Damari and Sir Pentious proceed along the lit path, convinced that this is what she must be searching for.
"Whoa..." Damari gasped in awe.
Damari was astounded to see the Bizarre Bazaar itself when she opened the gates. Numerous demons may be seen wandering the night market, spending their money on a wide range of items that you would never find anywhere else.
"Skin and pelts, skin and pelts." shady demon salesman said, holding up a dead skin of a sinner.
Along with armor, some vendors are selling weird meals that people might be interested in trying, tattoos for the self-indulgent, and shadowy characters in masks and hoods that pick-pocket any gullible demon civilian who hasn't secured their pocket.
"Welcome to Bizarre Bazaar." Sir Pentious happily introduced, leading her through the market.
Damari takes in all the sights.
"Vaggie is right. This place is intense."
She accidentally bump into a walking bat demon man.
"Hey, watch it, bird slut!" he said rudely.
"Oh, sorry." Damari apologized.
Sir Pentious hissed at the departing bat demon.
"Rude! Come along. Let's go help you find some answers."
They resumed their stroll after he tenderly took her hand. While strolling, Damari spots a stall selling souvenirs, some of which bear recognizable inscriptions.
"Hey, look!"
She leads Sir Pentious over to the stand.
"Check it out. Those look like the markings on my music box."
"Whoa. Suspiciously so." he said, looking at them.
"Where's the vendor?"
She looks up and sees a "Out to Lunch" sign and groans in frustration.
"Are you kidding me?!"
Damari slumps down in defeat with a sigh. Sir Pentious pats her shoulder.
"Hey, hey. It's fine. They'll be back. And in the meantime, might as well check out the rest of the bazaar. They've got good stuff that you could get."
She looks up at him and to the empty stand before smiling.
"Sure. Why not?"
Sir Pentious picks up a delicious scent and slithers over to the food stand.
"Two, please."
He accepts two sizzling dumplings from the food vendor, who causes them to briefly bounce off his palms due to their heat.
"Ooh! Hot, hot."
He goes back to Damari and gives one to her.
"Here you go, Damari."
She takes it and smiles.
"Thanks, Pentious."
Sir Pentious happily takes a bite of his, revealing live mealworms inside. Damari shivers in disgust.
"Ugh!"
Damari quickly tosses it away for other strange creatures from the one that they chased after to carry it for them to eat.
"So, what other places do you recommend we should go?" she asked.
Sir Pentious finishes his dumplings and goes to explain when a familiar voice comes in.
"Oh, I don't think so, you two."
Damari and Sir Pentious shrieked and leaped back when they see Vaggie and Husk appeared angry and disappointed.
"I can't believe that you actually went out to the market!" Vaggie exclaimed in disbelief.
"I knew you couldn't resist the Bizarre Bazaar, so I decided to keep watch and listen in case you were serious about going there, which you did! A big, fat, pickle! You do realize you're risking your life over some stupid box clues." Husk added, looking agitated.
Damari and Sir Pentious look down in shame.
"I know, but please don't blame Pentious. I convinced him to take me there. And now I have to wait until that vendor is done with lunch. Please, you guys. Just let me stay here for a bit. Once I find some answers to my home, we'll leave right away." Damari pleaded.
Vaggie and Husk glare sternly at Damari for a moment before softening with a sigh.
"Fine. But you're sticking close to me." Vaggie said.
"And don't even try and separate. I know you can fight, but there are many dangerous demons you've never faced." Husk added.
"Yes! I will! Oh, thank you!" Damari smiled, hugging them.
"So, where do we start while we wait?" Vaggie asked Sir Pentious.
"Oh, I have a lot of recommendations you all will enjoy." he smiled.
Husk, Vaggie, Sir Pentious, Damari, and the others soon depart to continue exploring the delights of the Bizarre Bazaar. After gathering some useful tools and chowing down on some roasted meats and insects, Sir Pentious is bitten in the tongue by a live bug. Husk and the stranger are playing cards when he triumphantly tosses his cards down and takes the entire stake of money.
"I win." he chuckled.
A stranger demon drops his cards, giving up. To ensure that no one dare attempt to take his money, Husk discreetly conceals it within his hat. A demon bull attempted to knock Vaggie off of it, but she held it down like a boss and won the ride, flipping away from the charging demon bull. Damari, meantime, tries a variety of bubble tea, but when she notices some live insects creeping up the straw, she freaks out and drops it.
They were staring at Damari, not realizing that there were cameras in the market. Vox smirks mischievously in the office, knowing he found her. He rises from his chair and, without warning to the sinners, uses the camera to teleport into the Bizarre Bazaar while stealthily pursuing Damari. Damari admires the jewelry she has never seen as she glances at the stands. Eventually, she spots a stunning blue stone necklace.
As the female vendor noticed Damari examining it, she said, "Ah, that you're seeing is the Hope Diamond. This jewel weighs 45.52 carats. It also has a very uncommon deep blue color. In case you were curious, the presence of small levels of boron in the stone's chemical composition is responsible for the Hope Diamond's distinctive color."
"I've heard of it. Isn't it cursed?" Damari said.
"Yes, it is, I see. However, it does result in inspiration and a happily ever after. Ultimately, this captivating azure jewel has emerged as a cultural icon—a representation of beauty and enigma that captivates people of all ages."
"...How much?"
"350 million."
Damari winced at this, realizing how costly the jewelry is. A hand with familiar light blue claws rests on her shoulder as she is going to excuse herself. She pivoted and recognized Vox right away.
"We'll take it." Vox said, handing the vendor a stack of cash.
Vox puts the Hope Diamond necklace around her neck before she has a chance to speak.
"There. It suits you."
"Uh... Thanks, Vox. You didn't have to."
"Trust me. I want to."
Damari gives the jewelry a brief, loving glance before glaring at the TV overlord and shaking her head.
"What are you doing here? If you're here for my soul and to try make a deal out of me, you're out of luck."
Vox raises his hands up in surrender.
"Little Doll, calm down. Your soul is not my concern. We may have started off poorly, but I wanted to make amends by getting to know you and spending time with you in this... bazaar."
"Hang out? With me?" she raised her eyebrow.
"Yes." he said, showing that he's serious.
Damari sighs unhappily and looks around after giving him a moment's glare.
"It would be rude to not show my appreciation for buying that expensive necklace for me."
Vox grins happily like he had just won a jackpot.
"But if I ever find out that you lie and tried to lure me somewhere I can't escape, I swear to God I will fucking end your life!" Damari growled, poking his chest.
Unfazed with her threat, he playfully boops her nose.
"You are so cute when you are serious."
"I'm literally going to be sick." she deadpanned, swatting his hand away.
"Damari? Damari!"
Vaggie, Husk, and Sir Pentious were looking for her when they turned around. They instantly went into a defensive position when they saw Vox standing next to her, though, and Vaggie point her angelic spear at him.
"What are you doing here? Get away from her!" Vaggie glared.
"Don't worry, Damari. I'll protect you!" Sir Pentious dramatically said, pulling Damari close to him.
"Relax, I'm just here to hang out with her." Vox said, pushing the spear away.
"I beg to differ." Husk growled, holding out his cards.
"Guys, stop. He's telling the truth." Damari said, pulling herself away from Sir Pentious.
"What??" Vaggie raised her eyebrow.
"Yeah, what?" Husk questioned.
"He just happens to be close by, apparently... And he just bought me a necklace." Damari explained, showing them a Hope Diamond necklace.
"That's... awfully nice of him." Sir Pentious said warily, looking at Vox.
"Yeah, shockingly."
Vox shrugs off Vaggie and Husk's glares for a minute, as if to emphasize that she is telling the truth. After a while, they bring down their weapons.
"If you think he's good, then I'll believe you. But if he's making you uncomfortable, just give me a signal and I'll finish him." Vaggie said.
"We'll see about that." Vox scoffed.
"Pentious, do you have some tours you want to show me in this market?" Damari asked.
"Oh, right! I'll happily show you!" Sir Pentious smiled, taking her hand and gently pulling her towards the places they're going to explore.
Vox pursues Vaggie and Husk after being enraged upon witnessing Sir Pentious holding Damari in that way. They visit some really entertaining sites, and to Damari's great joy, Sir Pentious even got her a blue spider lily hairpin. He awkwardly said that he believed the hairpin would look well on her when she questioned why he would purchase her one. To the dismay of Husk and Vox, she even gave him another kiss on the cheek. They're just strolling through the bazaar now, enjoying themselves.
"Wow. It's amazing. There's absolutely nothing familiar back on Earth." Damari said, eating a meat on a stick.
"Yeah. Surprisingly it is. I even bought some souvenirs for Charlie to see." Vaggie said, holding a shopping bag.
"I'm surprise you'd actually buy some stuff in bazaar." Husk commented to Vox.
Vox is eating some food and just rolls his eyes.
"I may be rich, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy some things outside of studio."
Sir Pentious noticed something ahead and pointed.
"Ohh! Look!"
They turned to see a massage building as the demon walks out looking satisfied.
"Let's go try some massage." he suggested.
"Hm... I could use some massage. I've been feeling stressed lately." Damari said, rubbing her back.
"Gee, I wonder why." Vaggie glanced at Vox.
"What?"
"Let's go." Sir Pentious said.
They all arrived inside the massage building and admiring the interior. Well, Sir Pentious and Damari are.
"Uh, hello? Anyone here? Well, this place is nice." Damari said.
Suddenly, a female demon emerges from a dark hallway.
"I help you?"
Damari screams in fear and bumps into Husk.
"Hi. Who are you?"
"I am town healer, Tuti."
She puts some dead leaves into a bowl, which explode into red smoke.
"Also part-time bounty hunter."
Vaggie gets cautious while Damari gulps.
"Tuti, huh? Well, we're here for that full body massage." Sir Pentious said.
"Full body is good. Come, we get personal."
Tuti walks over and stands next to the wooden massage bed and swipes her hand across it.
"I'll go first." Damari said, walking over and lying down on the med with her stomach.
She spots a massage order for demons and gets a bit worried.
"Whoa, you de—guys are really flexible, huh? Are you sure you know how to massage a swan?"
"Is same."
Tuti leaps onto Damari and pulls her arm and leg to her, resulting in a cracking sound and Damari yelling in pain. Husk, Vaggie, Vox, and Sir Pentious look shocked.
"Whoa, mama." Sir Pentious commented.
Not waiting any longer, Tuti then begins to push and bend Damari's body into different positions that a human shouldn't be able to be in, resulting in the poor girl's bones to crack with every move as her eyes constantly water.
"This is amazing. So... relaxing. Is that my foot?" Damari whimpered, eyes still watering.
"And on that note, I'm out." Vox said, heading out of the building and facing the window instead.
"Yeah. Sorry, Damari." Vaggie said, following him along with Husk and Sir Pentious.
They watched with pity as Tuti runs on Damari's back and finishes by jumping onto it, creating a bigger crack.
"Is done. You are reborn." she said, hopping off of her.
Damari takes deep breathes from the pain and shakily gives Tuti her money before heading out of the exit. She looks over and glares at the sheepish demons.
"Thanks a lot, guys."
Sir Pentious looks down at his watch and his eyes widens.
"Ohh! Look! Lunch hour is over! The vendor should be out now!"
Damari's eyes instantly lit up.
"Then let's go."
A few minutes pass, as an hourglass shows the remaining time before the Bizarre Bazaar closes as Damari and others made it to the vendor as the antique store sign change to "Open".
"Now where did I put my incense burner?" a familiar voice said.
As Damari and others are left confused from overhearing that, a figure in charge of the stand soon steps out of the indoor shadows, revealing Beldam herself to the others. Damari was shocked to see her again while Vox looks a bit surprised.
"Ah, welcome. Welcome to Beldam's Antiques." Beldam greeted them.
"As if your antiques are good." Vox muttered.
"I heard that, Vox." Beldam glared.
"Hey, Beldam. Still hiding in your own little cave." Vox said.
"You know each other?" Damari asked, looking surprised.
"Well, she's an overlord. But all she does is sell some stupid sewing stuff."
"It's my job and my favorite hobby. I don't waste time getting those people to be under my control and making items more expensive." Beldam stated.
Sensing some tension, Damari quickly picks up an antique.
"Uh, hey. What is this thing?"
Beldam looks at Damari and gets proud.
"Just one of my many treasures collected from many years of travel before dying." she explained, pouring a water into the antique and causing a beautiful small bonsai tree to grow.
"Whoa!" Damari and Sir Pentious awed.
"I've seen and heard it all." Beldam continued.
"Pfft! As if." Vox rolled his eyes.
Ignoring him, Beldam looks at Damari again as if asking her what she wants.
"There's something I'd like you to take a look at."
Damari reaches into her backpack. Vaggie gets concerned after learning about Beldam being an overlord.
"Uh, you sure about this?"
What they didn't notice is some shadow figures with glowing eyes sneaks up to them from behind and grabs Vox and Husk and then Damari's backpack.
"You heard her. She's seen it all. If anyone knows anything about the music box—"
She stops and notices her backpack is missing.
"My backpack! Where'd it go?"
"What? How is it missing?" Vaggie exclaimed.
"And where is Vox and Husk?" Sir Pentious questioned, looking around.
Fearing about their lives, Damari scans her surroundings and sees those masked individuals fleeing with her backpack, Vox, and Husk bound and gagged.
"Hey! That's my backpack and my friends, you creeps!"
The three shadow figures immediately runs off.
"Get back here!" Vaggie shouted.
The three run after the thieves as Beldam observes them, mostly Damari as she somehow recognizes her.
"Could it be? Could she be the one I've been searching for? If that's the case, then she must be the one that could save us all."
With Beldam wondering, Damari, Vaggie, and Sir Pentious are still chasing after the masked thieves, who're now running on four as they easily go through the crowds.
"Stop that!" Damari shouted to them.
The masked robbers soon arrive at a stand where a demon figure is waiting for them. They discreetly hide Vox and Husk as one of them gives the backpack to the unidentified demon and smirks, placing it on the stall. Damari, Vaggie, and Sir Pentious then made it to see the three mysterious thieves already running off with a demon person in charge, revealing an Egyptian mummy.
Her hair is nile blue with thick highlights of black and gold, and is worn up in a ponytail through a gold headdress with a single braid. Her eyes are light purple with an orange diamond shaped birthmark in her face.
"Hello, there. I'm Nefera De Nile. Come to try your luck at my fun and exciting game?" she greeted calmly.
"Absolutely not! Give me my backpack!" Damari demanded angrily. "And give me back my friends! Well, one of them isn't my friend or whatever."
"Backpack?" Nefara titled her head, playing dumb.
"The one on your prize wall, you idiot!" Vaggie growled, pointing to it.
"Oh, this? This is the magical pouch of mystery. Who can say where it came from? Or how?" Nefera lied.
"Nice try." Sir Pentious scoffed, not believing her.
Vaggie and Damari were about to locate Vox and Husk and climb up onto the stand to get the backpack when the cloaked figures abruptly grabbed them, leaving them furious and perplexed.
"Ah-ah-ah!" Nefera said smugly. "Once something is on the prize wall, the only way to get it back along with your friends is to win it. Sorry, hon, Bizarre Bazaar rules."
"The music box. I can't lose it." Damari gasped, thinking about others winning it. "What are we gonna do?"
"Looks like there's only one thing we can do." Sir Pentious said.
"For once, I agree." Vaggie said.
"...Alright, we'll play your game, you little fox. So what is it?" Damari said, placing some cash on the stand.
"Oh, you're going to love it."
The prize wall then opens up like a pair of doors, revealing what the game is to Damari, Vaggie, and Sir Pentious. The game turns out to be cheerleading dance contests.
"Behold! The Monster Mashionals! The best cheerleading dance contest this bazaar has to offer!"
"Cheerleading?? Seriously?" Vaggie deadpanned.
"I don't think I have legs to do that." Sir Pentious said, looking down at his tail.
Damari says nothing and just glares.
"Now, then. Who has the guts to challenge this ugly looking bird, the one eyed freak, and her snake boyfriend?" Nefera gestured to Damari, Vaggie, and Sir Pentious.
Damari's face turned pink for a bit and immediately exclaimed.
"Whoa! Not my boyfriend!" she corrected her.
"Yeah! At least, not yet." Sir Pentious said proudly.
"Yeah!"
She stops and gets confused, looking at the snake demon.
"Wait, what?"
"What?" Sir Pentious played dumb, looking embarrassed.
"Uh huh..." Vaggie raised her eyebrow.
"We'll take this challenge."
They turned to see three female cat demons.
The one in the middle is the orange cat demon, with a darker orange spot around her eye. She has dark orange tiger stripes running up her right arm and left leg and four on her face. She sports an "emo" styled hairdo, her bangs being longer than her actual hair. She has green eyes, and her pupils are catlike slits.
The other two standing on each of her side are grey and white cat demon. They have white stripes running over their legs and arms, but one has her stripes on her right arm and left leg, while the other has them on her left arm and right leg. Similarly, while one has white hair and the other black hair, they both have a prominent black-and-white striped lock in their haircut, which one has hanging on her left side and the other on her right side.
Damari gasped to see Vox and Husk with them as they're still tied up as the two female grey and white cats purr at them.
"Toralei, Meowlody and Purrsephone!" crowd member #1 gasped.
"I heard that if you lose, they'll completely ruin you and your life!" crowd member #2 said.
"Yikes!"
"Let's get outta here."
Both the dancers run away in fear.
"Cats... Right. Let's do this." Damari said, glaring at them.
"The race is on!" Nefera announced.
A bell rings as Toralei and her cat sisters dances through cheerleading style. Vaggie and Sir Pentious were speechless at how good they are as Toralei did a flip and landed in the hands of her goons and holding out her pom poms.
"We're gonna lose." Vaggie frowned.
"I can't even dance like that!" Sir Pentious exclaimed.
"You guys stay back. I got this." Damari said, glaring with determination.
"Uh, you sure? These girls are crazy at dancing. How are you going to beat them?" Vaggie asked.
"Trust me."
Damari, who was holding the pom poms, comes next after those judges award them 8+8+9, totaling 24 points. Toralei and Nefera snicker at the sight of her alone.
"Let's see what she can do. With all of this." Nefera said, pushing the button of the remote.
Obstacles for cheerleading were popped out from the ground as Damari looks around.
"This is bad..." Vaggie said.
"She's so gonna blow it." Toralei smirked, making her cat sisters laugh.
Husk and Vox watches with worry, but Damari isn't scared as she looks at the obstacles and smirks.
https://youtu.be/gPVQqwMMQuQ
Damari's cheerleading dance solo left everyone, even Nefera and Toralei, dumbfounded. Damari receives 10+10+10 from the judges, which gives her 30 points. Everyone applauds and cheers for her amazing performance, with the exception of Nefera and Toralei.
"...Fine. You won, barely..." Nefera sneered.
Vox and Husk quickly run away from Toralei, who grudgingly motions for her goons to free them. Regaining her backpack, Damari exits cheerfully with Husk, Vox, Vaggie, and Sir Pentious.
"It was an interesting experience. I haven't cheerlead in high school in a long time. "Damari said, opening her backpack to make sure her music box was secure.
"Speaking of cheerleading, how the hell did you do that?" Husk asked, still speechless of her performance.
"I gotta say that was... pretty hot." Vox smirked, making Damari and Vaggie disgusted.
"Well, let's just say that I enjoyed cheerleading from the moment I started in high school until some perverts tried to harass me sexually. At that point, I stopped cheerleading. My father gave me self-defense lessons at that point."
"So... amazing." Vaggie said, smiling.
"You did great out there." Sir Pentious said.
"Thanks. Now let's head back to Beldam and—"
She was cut off by the sound of the gong and looked at the hourglass.
"Oh, no. The bazaar's closing."
Upon also hearing the gong, everyone single visitor of the Bizarre Bazaar begins to take their leave, while all the stand owners pack up their things and prepare to head home, to patiently await until next year. By the time everyone and everything is gone, only Damari, Vaggie, Husk, Sir Pentious, and Vox remain. Damari was in disbelief and looks downwards.
"I... I never got a chance to know the secret behind the music box... Now I will never get home..."
Vaggie places a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, it's okay, Damari. We'll find someone else who knows about the music box."
Damari sighs, knowing she's right.
"Thanks for having my back. You were right. I should've listened to you, but I was too impatient for answers. From now on, I'll wait a little longer."
"It's been fun and all, but I gotta go. Nice catchin' up with you, Little Doll." Vox said, placing a quick kiss on her cheek, much to their shock.
He then disappears through electrokinesis towards the camera.
"We'll do our best, Damari. I know how important this is to you." Husk said.
"Thanks, guys." Damari smiled.
They bid each other goodnight as they make their way back to the Hazbin Hotel and retire for the night. Subsequently, Vaggie returned covertly to their bed, and Charlie awoke. She is currently in the library, looking through a secret collection of books until she locates the relevant page containing information on the music box.
"Whoa."
That's the same music box Damari showed on the page. It's called The Limbo Box and it's written by Lucifer; it's said to be potentially dangerous and classified.
