In the middle of the night, gunshots could be heard nearby the house as the girls were sleeping in the living room.

Saya: Y/n... I love you... marry me...

Shizuka: Y/n, right there... *moan*

Miku: ...... Y/n....

Taniuchi/Kawamoto: Y/n... our hero....

Rei was waiting by the stairs as she somewhat looked tired but woke up completely by the gun shots going off.

Rei: Gunshots?

While Saeko was still making food in the kitchen as she was thinking about Y/n and what he said to her as she couldn't help but blush happily.

Saeko: He trust me~

Y/n, Takashi, and Kohta are still standing on the balcony of the apartment as they saw the horde of undead below them.

Takashi: Their hunger. It never ended. They never ended....

Y/n: This is getting worse by the minute... at this rate it would be impossible for us to go anywhere without the undead following us.

Hirano: Guys look...

Takashi/ Y/n: Huh?

They turn to see a crazed survivor shooting recklessly until he drops one of the shells. Going over to pick it up only to realize an undead was in front of him. Due to the sound of gunshots, Saeko came upstairs to the balcony. Just in time to witness the man responsible for the gunshots being devoured by the undead.

Saeko: This is bad. The situation is getting worse.

Takashi: Damn, this is awful.

Takashi started getting frustrated making his way out before Hirano stop him in his track.

Hirano: Komuro!

Takashi: What?!

Hirano: Are we gonna shoot them?

Takashi: Well yeah! We'll shoot-

Saeko: Have you forgotten that they react to sound, Komuro-kun?

Y/n: And besides there too many of them out there. Is like a goddamn swarm down there, all of them gathering and moving together as one.

Saeko goes over to turn off the light as to avoid getting attention from both the living and the dead.

Saeko: And the living will gather here once they notice the light and our figures.

Y/n: Naturally, we lack the ability to help those who still live.

Saeko hands Takashi the binoculars.

Saeko: Look for yourself. You must grow accustomed to this. I know Y/n and Hirano already did.

Y/n: Furthermore, this world has become a place where you cannot survive on chivalry alone.

Takashi: I thought you two were a little different, Busujima-sempai, Y/n.

Saeko: Do not get the wrong idea, Komuro-kun. Whether you like it or not, I am merely stating the truth.

Y/n: She's right, Takashi. As much I want to help anyone in need out there. However, in this case we can't trust anyone specifically other survivors who will do anything to take what we have. Trust me, Rei and I experience it firsthand and believe it or not she was this close to being raped if I didn't step in.

Takashi was surprise by the news to hear what happened to Rei. Saeko continue staring Takashi with a serious expression before turning her back to him.

Saeko: What Y/n said proves my point, so you better start manning up and face the facts Komuro-kun.

Saeko leaves the room as Takashi continues looking conflicted on the situation.

Takashi: I can't believe this is what we are becoming.

Y/n: In order to survive, Takashi. We have to do the unthinkable to live.

Takashi doesn't say anything else and just goes out to the balcony as Hirano was recovering from the nosebleed after seeing Saeko backside.

Hirano: Oh, don't let yourself be seen when you look outside. It's hell out there.

Takashi looks around the area seeing nothing but carnage as each survivor he finds just end up being killed off and eaten alive by dead until he spots two people running together being a father and daughter.

Takashi: Hey Y/n... you may want to see this.

Y/n goes over to see what Takashi is talking about as he hands the binocular to him.

Y/n: A father... and his daughter...

Watching the father and daughter closely as he sees them running toward a house that has it lights on.

Alice: Daddy? Where's Mommy?

Maresato: We'll meet up with her later. Come here, okay?

Maresato goes over to knock on the door a couple of times seeing the lights are still on.

Maresato: Please! Open up! I can't run away! I have a child with me! Please! Open-

Survivor: Go away! Just go somewhere else!

Maresato: Please! I don't care what happens to me! But the child, my daughter.

Alice: Daddy...

No response making Maresato desperate as he raise his crowbar and yell out to them.

Maresato: Open up! Open up or I'll break down the door!

Aice: Daddy!

Maresato: Open up or I'll-

This finally got survivor attention as they beg him to stop before he decided to go through with it.

Survivor: W-Wait! I'll open it now.

Maresato: Thanks! You sa-

The door opened and the father stepped inside to only be stabbed in the chest by a man with a homemade spear as continuously apologizing repeatedly.

Survivor: I'm sorry! I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Maresato fell to his back with his daughter kneeling beside him. As Maresato laid on the ground bleeding out from his wound.

Alice: Daddy... Daddy! Daddy!

Placing a hand on her head, saying his last few words to his daughter.

Maresato: I'm fine, hide yourself. Where there's no one else. Hide yourself somewhere.....

Then, his arm fell limp as he passed away.

Alice: Daddy? Daddy? No, No! I wanna be with you! I wanna be with you forever! Daddy!

The little girl began crying loudly, gaining the attention of the undead as they start approaching her. Takashi couldn't continue looking anymore as he averted his eyes for the worst.

Takahsi: Shit....

Y/n: Hirano, now.

Hirano: Let's rock 'n roll!

Hirano shoots one of the undead in the head.

Y/n: Direct hit, Hirano.

Hirano: That's what you ugly deadbeats get for trying to go after a little girl like that.

Y/n spots another undead approaching the kid.

Y/n: Another one is approaching. Take the shot!

Hirano: Dinnertime!!

Hirano began shooting at the undead.

Hirano: I've never used this gun before, and I just scored a headshot with it. I'm a genius! Though, to be fair, they're not even 100 meters away.

The sound of gunshots starts waking up the others from downstairs.

Taniuchi/Kawamoto: Huh?

Miku: What's all that noise?

Takashi: Hirano. Y/n.

Y/n /Hirano: Yeah?

Takashi: What happened to avoiding drawing attention to ourselves.

Hirano: DUDE, IT'S A LITTLE GIRL! You're going to rescue her, right?

Y/n: Yeah, and besides that all change when a innocent child got involved in this mess.

Takashi: Heh, it good to hear you still have some humanity left.

Y/n: Who said I lost any. *thought* Not yet anyway.

Hirano: I'll back you up from here! Go and rescue her before more show up from all the gun shots.

Y/n: Alright, be ready to leave once I come back. I doubt we can stay here anymore with all the undead filling the streets.

Going over to his backpack, he pulls out his knife and pistol. Going downstairs, Y/n spotted Rei standing by the stairs with a concern expression.

Rei: Y/n? Where are you going.

Y/n: I'm going to rescue a little girl. Be ready to leave once I come back.

Rei: T-Then I'll go with-

Y/n: No. You guard the gate. I'm going to bike in from the other side, it faster that way.

Rei was about to protest on the idea.

Rei: By bike? But-

Saeko: Let him go. The man has spoken.

Both turn to see Saeko standing by entrance with her wooden sword on hand.

Y/n: Sorry, Saeko. I guess, I still have some human qualities after all.

Saeko: Of course. I was already aware of that. We shall guard this place no matter what. You can go without worry!

Rei: Y/n. You should at least take this.

Rei handed him a revolver in which he grabs it from her as she hold his hand in admiration.

Y/n: Thanks, Rei.

Rei: Just make sure to come back.

All three go towards the garage as they start getting everything set up.

Saeko: Do not rely on the gun or they will flock to you after they hear you firing.

Y/n: The bike is going to make noise anyway.

Saeko: Correct. However, the bike will be noisy because you will be using it to move. When you use the gun, you will not be in motion.

Rei: You ready, Y/n.

Y/n rev up the engine of the bike as he gave them a smirk. Rei and Saeko smile at him as both of them open the doors immediately with Y/n driving forward and jumping over the undead, driving off in the street of night. These loud commotion that been going on, woke up Saya from her sleep as she goes outside to the garage wearing Y/n leather jacket.

Saya: What's all the commotion about? And where's Y/n?

Rei: Something pleasant happened.

Saya: Huh? Like what?

Rei: We realized that we're still human.

Saya: Shut up.

Saya looks towards the streets as she clench on Y/n jacket being concerned.

Saya: *thought* You better come back, you lovable idiot.

Back at the balcony, Hirano continues firing off rounds at the undead making sure the undead doesn't get too close to the girl while at the same time clearing a path for Y/n.

Hirano: Reload!

Takashi: Impressive, Hirano!

As Y/n get closer, he spots the lights ahead.

Y/n: That must be it!

Making a quick turn in order to avoid the undead ahead. As he enters the front entrance, he jumps off the bike making sure it hit the two undead that were blocking the entrance.

Y/n: Damn. Guess it does work like it does in anime.

Getting up quickly he spots Alice crying in the corner with the same dog from the bridge earlier, protecting her from the undead. Y/n pulls out his pistol but when he notice the undead are starting to get in. He was getting conflicted on what to do first until Hirano back him up by shooting the undead at the front entrance.

Y/n: He really is a genius.

Hirano: Of course I am!

The two undead started getting closer to Alice as she scried out for her mother and father.

Alice: Stop! Go away! I haven't done anything bad! Mommy! Daddy! Noo!

Before any of them could take a bite out of her, Y/n fire off two rounds getting a clean headshots.

Y/n: Good job so far! Just hang in there a bit longer!  Hold on... Alice!?

Alice: Huh? Y/n?!

Back at the house, Saya goes back inside to wake up the other girls.

Saya: Sensei! Wake up! Come on, Shizuka-sensei!

Shizuka; It's breakfast time already?

Saya: Quit being childish!

Saya pinches Shizuka cheeks in order to get her to wake up.

Saya: S-Stop it!

Looking over the couch behind her, calls out to the other three girls.

Saya: The same goes for you, three! Time to wake up, now!

Miku/Taniuchi/Kawamoto: Huh?

All three wake up still liking tired.

Miku: What's wrong, Takagi?

Taniuchi: Is something going on?

Kawamoto: It's still the middle of the night.

Saya: Oh sorry to disturb you three beauty sleep but it time to move. We got undead surrounding the area and Y/n is out there in the streets trying to save a kid!

Miku/Taniuchi/Kawamoto: WHAT?!?

Back with Y/n, he seen stabbing and shooting any undead that got in while protecting Alice.

Y/n: Why don't you pick on someone your own size?!

Alice: Behind you, onii-chan!

An undead appears behind him, lunging forward to take a bite. However, stops it by putting a gun into it mouth and blowing the undead head clean off.

Y/n looks back at Alice giving her an appreciation expression.

Y/n: Thanks for helping me!

Back at home, Takashi and Hirano can see from the distance that Y/n saved Alice just in time. Suddenly Saya called to them both getting their attention immediately.

Saya: Hirano! Takashi!

Takashi: What is it, Sa- whoa!?

Hirano: Takagi-san S-Shizuka-sensei! Hi~!

Saya: Get ready to run. We can't stay here. We've been causing way too much commotion. You need to get ready to move too!

Hirano/Takashi: O-Okay!

Couple minutes later...

Saya, Shizuka, Miku, Kawamoto, and Taniuchi were downstairs as they met up with Saeko, Rei, and Takashi.

Saya: Miyamoto. Let Busujima-sempai stand guard. You should be helping us.

Saya looks back at Shizuka looking annoyed that she hasn't noticed she still naked.

Saya: Jeez, Shizuka-sensei. Would you put something on before

Shizuka: Oh, so that's why it feels cold!

Saya: So, is the car ready?

Saeko: Now would be a good time to get in. They are being drawn toward Y/n.

Saya and Rei lean over the edges of the guarding rails seeing the undead has gathered were Y/n and Alice.

Saya: What should we do? He won't be able to get back here on the bike.

Shizuka: Then all we can do is go meet up with him, right?

Everyone turn to look at Shizuka surprised by the idea.

Shizuka: U-Uhm, did I say something strange? I do have the keys.

Saeko: No, it is a fine idea.

Saya: Then that's our only option! We're all set! After we pick up Y/n, we'll go to the other side of the river! Get ready!

Back with Y/n and Alice, he managed to close the gates and blocked the undead to prevent any from entering. Alice pointed at her father's dead body.

Alice: Onii-chan... Daddy is dead.

Without saying anything, Y/n walk over to the dead body.

Alice: Onii-chan?

Covering the corpse with a white sheet then pulling a single flower from the floor and presenting it to Alice.

Y/n: He died protecting you. What a wonderful dad he was.

Alice look at the flower in his hand as grabs it from him. Taking a seat next him, place the flower on top of her deceased father.

Alice: Da-Daddy....

Alice started crying intensely as Y/n comforted her to smooth her lost. Back with the others, they're seen having a problem with loading their stuff.

Shizuka: We have a lot of stuff. Do you think it'll all fit? Ask yourself how we're supposed to get it in instead.

Rei: What if they come while we're loading.

Saya: We gotta be sneaky about it, like a Thief in an MMORPG.

Saeko: Then we shall do it that way.

They start leaving through the entrance as they start loading up their stuff and supplies in the Humvee.

Shizuka: Huh? What the? The steering wheel is on the other side! 

Back with Y/n and Alice.

Y/n: Don't be too loud, or else those things will come over here.

Alice: We can't get out?

Y/n: Not through the front gate and there's so many of them on the street. And I don't have enough bullets with me to take them out.

Alice: Can't we escape through somewhere other than the street? How, by flying through the sky?

Y/n: Flying though the sky....

Y/n looks toward the wall that separates them and the undead giving him and idea.

Y/n: I think you're on to something Alice...

At the Balcony, Hirano started gathering up his equipment getting ready to leave.

Hirano: We'll load up, rescue Y/n and the girl, and get away. It sounds good, but there's too many for a Humvee to handle. We'd need something like a tank to get over there and rescue them. Alternatively, Y/n would need to find a way out.

Hirano looks back at the situation only to see what Y/n was doing.

Hirano: I see! Good job, Y/n!

Y/n is currently walking along the edge of a brick fence that was infront of the row of houses. Right above the horde of undead, he had Alice on his back and the little white dog in his shirt.

Y/n: Don't look at the street. Just look at the fence and keep walking. Just look at the fence and keep walking. Just look at the fence-

The dog started licking his chin causing Y/n stop in his track and flinch before Alice managed to stop the dog.

Alice: S-Stop! Bad boy!

Y/n: Thanks. Are you scared?

Alice: Yeah. Are you?

Y/n: I'm not scared! Not at all!

Back with everyone else.

Saya: Where's Hirano?

Rei: Isn't he still upstairs?

Saya: Oh jeez. Is he amazing or stupid?

Before Saya could go get him, Hirano already came downstairs but managed to catch everyone attention on what's he's wearing.

Hirano: Uh, what's up?

Saya: You seem to be having fun.

Hirano: Oh, not nearly as much as Y/n is.

Back with Y/n and Alice, Y/n stop at his track once again when Alice said something to catch his attention.

Y/n: So, uh, how 'bout you say that again.

Alice: I need to pee.

Y/n: Hold it in?

Alice: Uhm, I can't.

Y/n: The world imploded on itself in just one day, and I had to fight a bunch of dead guys. Not to mention I'm being some sort of a hero because of it.

Alice: I-I can't hold it in any longer, onii-chan!

Y/n: Okay, whatever. Just go. *thought* Why do I have to go through this?

Alice: Are you sure?

Y/n: I will totally forgive you!

Alice start relieving herself on Y/n back suddenly one of the undead grab his shoelaces causing to almost loose his balance. Kicking the undead away from him. However, to their horror notice there were so many of them.

Y/n: I don't think we can keep moving like this.

Alice: Onii-Chan, what's that noise?

Y/n: What?

Just then, a rumbling engine can be heard approaching them. Y/n, Alice, and the dog looked to see the Humvee driving up the street with Shizuka, Miku, Rei, Saya, Kawamoto, and Taniuchi on the inside, while Saeko was standing on top of the Humvee with Takashi and Kohta on the roof
hole.

Shizuka: Wow, there's so many!

Rei: You say that like we have the option of running away!

Saya: CHAAAARGE!

Y/n: T-They're insane.

Shizuka manages to run over a couple of undead before pushing the breaks. Saeko, jumps off the vehicle and start clearing a path for Y/n and Alice with Takashi following behind by killing any undead getting near to the Humvee.

Rei: Hurry up, Y/n!

Y/n: It's not that simple!

Y/n continuous moving along the ledge quickly as possible.

Saya: Buy us some time, Hirano!

Hirano: Jawohl! Gotcha!

Hirano immediately start shooting down a group of undead with the shotgun making sure to buy everyone some time.

Shizuka: Y/n-kun!

Miku: Hurry, Y/n!

Taniuchi/Kawamoto: We have to go!

Rei: Y/n!

Saya: Y/n, come on! Let's go!

Y/n couldn't help but smile at his friends concern for his safety as Alice ask who they are.

Alice: Are they your friends?

Y/n: Yeah. My dear friends.

Saeko and Takashi get back to the vehicle with Saeko managing to get back on top of the Humvee.

Saeko: This is the last ferry that will be crossing the river. Will you be boarding?

Y/n: Hell yeah!

Taking a leap of faith, jump the ledge with Alice and the dog in tow. Landing on top of the Humvee with everyone else.

Saya: Targets have been secured, Teach!

Shizuka: All right!

Shizuka shifted into gear and drove away from the horde, in the dark of the night. With Y/n falling face into Saeko breast making her blush and Alice on top of Hirano guts.

Alice: Sorry

Hirano: I-It's ok... ow....

They continue driving on the road until sunset started rising on the edge.

Y/n: *thought* And that was our escape. Granted, all it meant was that one of our hellish days was over. We still had yet to cross the river and meet up with our families.

Rei: Hey, Y/n. What this little girl name?

Pointing out Alice who is hugging Y/n tightly.

Y/n: Everyone, I like you to meet Alice. A next door neighbor of mine, who I look after during weekend. Say hi to everyone, Alice.

Alice: Hi.

Everyone: Hello!

Y/n: We should get some rest while we still can. Are you ok on continuing driving, Shizuka?

Shizuka: I'm fine, Y/n. Get some rest.

Y/n: You heard that everyone.

Everyone minus Shizuka started making themselves comfortable and get some sleep as Saeko and Rei take both sides besides him. Alice fell asleep on his lap as he drifted off to sleep but thought to himself this.

Y/n: *thought* Another life lost... but another life saved...
