At an unknown airport near Japan, we see a plane still grounded as one of the two pilots come back after checking the passengers.

Pilot 1: I'm done checking the passengers. None of them seem to be showing any of the symptoms. Nor do any of them have a fever or any injuries. Nor are they already dead.

Pilot 2: Your family lives in Tokyo?

They start preparing to take off but however, ....

Pilot 1: No one answered the phone. Tokonosu Tower, JX089. Ready for takeoff. JX089, Tokonosu Tower. Hold on runway 3-4. We have a problem.

They notice the runway is block by a horde of undead.

Later....

We see someone scoping out the area of the airport as stop at an undead that's wearing glasses with a weird smile on its face.

Rika: He looks repulsive.

The sniper gets into position.

Tajima: He's an actor. He was on location here for filming. Distance: 4500.Angle: -6. Wind: Favorable. Permission to fire: Granted.

The sniper takes the shot getting a direct headshot followed by a couple more headshots until the whole runway was cleared of undead.

Tajima: Good work. All of the targets on the runway have been eliminated. Over and out. What're you doing?

Rika got up as she start removing her vest.

Rika: These things are numb. I've been laying down here since this morning.

Tajima: If you don't mind, I could massage them.

Rika: I would if you were a better shot than me.

Tajima: But you're one of the top five officers in our whole country. That's no fair.

Rika: You'd better give up then.

Tajima: Anyway, how did those things even get here? We're at a seaside airport that can only be reached by ship. Haven't they been restricting entry?

Rika: Yeah. Only high-ranking officials and airport technicians as well as their families are allowed in. One of them must've been infected. The situation is under control right now, but who knows how long that'll last?

Tajima: What do you think would've happened to this place if we hadn't been assigned here due to terrorist threats? Well, I don't have infinite ammo.

Rika: You're gonna run away?

Tajima: Not planning on it. Well, not yet.

Rika: I'm gonna go to the city. Eventually.

Tajima: What, you have a guy there?

Rika: Naw, a friend.

Back at the bus....

Shido is seen trying to get convince his students but most of them are either paying attention or ignoring him.

Shido: That's right. Thus, instead of acting out of self-interest, we need to find a safe place and move as a group. For example, we shouldn't all go check on our families until we become an organized group. In fact, I think the number one thing for us right now is laying down a foundation for our group. Understand?

Saya continues ignoring Shido like the rest as she look out the window seeing the situation that's going on outside until she felt Hirano drooling in his sleep.

Saya: Hirano.

Hirano: Takagi-san

Saya: Good morning, sunshine. Why did you fall asleep? And you're drooling!

Hirano: Oh, sorry.

Hirano look at the window seeing situation that's going on seeing how serious is getting.

Hirano: I think it would've been better if we had gone toward the suburbs.

Saya: There are other ways to escape besides cars.

Hirano: The seaside airport?

Saya: As you can see, it's too dangerous to be in the city. There's probably a group of people who are trying to flee to an island or to some isolated area where there are armed forces.

Hirano: Like Okinawa? But the American military forces that're stationed there aren't there to fight. Oh, but there is the SDF.

Saya: Hokkaido and Kyushu should be okay if they handled the situation appropriately. I'd say the airplanes are headed for one of those locations.

Hirano: So, we should go somewhere like that too?

Saya: It's way too late for that. Areas with large amounts of American soldiers or where the SDF is stationed are probably keeping the situation under control. However, it's likely that they started being strict about who they take in. Actually, before we know it, the whole world will be like that. What would you do if letting in others meant risking letting those things in too?

Hirano: I'd shut myself in.

Saya: And what if the whole world started thinking the same as you? What if they tried to keep their community as small as possible for maximum survival?

Hirano: Wow Takagi-san, you really are a genius.

Saya: What're you acting so surprised about?

Saya then point at Shido behind them as he seen caressing a random female student while having a sadistic look.

Saya: Just look at him. He's an example of what I'm talking about. But I doubt that he himself realizes it. I mean, you know what happened overnight. If Y/n didn't shut him up before things got out of hand, then we would've been in big trouble.

Hirano pull up his makeshift nail gun.

Hirano: Should I stop him?

Saya: Don't bother! What we should be doing is thinking about how we're going to survive. I need someone I can trust. Jeez, if only Y/n were here. I can always rely on him for any discussion. *thought* I hope he's ok, it already been a day since he left with Rei. And I haven't heard from him since then. He better be ok, when I see him again.

Hirano: Takagi-san, you like Y/n, don't you?

Saya started blushing madly when Hirano said that.

Saya: Don't say something so stupid!

Saya turned around to see Saeko and Shizuka standing behind her with doubt in their face.

Saya: W-What?

Seako look out the window looking concern.

Saeko: I am concerned about their safety. It would be preferable if we were able to meet them without incident.

Shizuka: I wonder how their doing out there, I hope their ok.

???: Um excuse me.

Takashi/Saeko/Saya/Shizuka/Hirano: Huh?

The four of them turn to see three female students from Shido group while Shido continue his ranting.

Saya: Who are you three? And what do you want?

Miku: My name is Miku Yuuki.

(Kawamoto on the left and Taniuchi on the right)

Kawamoto: My name is Kawamoto.

Taniuchi: And my name is Taniuchi.

Miku: We were wondering if we can join your group. The girls and I don't want to stay in same group as Shido anymore after learning the truth from last night...

Kawamoto: We're afraid of what he's going to do with us if he ever decided to get rid of us for disobeying him.

Taniuchi: Please, will help anyway we can so let us join your group!

Takashi: Hmmm, what do you guys think.

Saya: As long as they pull their weight around and not cause trouble for us, they can stay.

Takashi: What about you guys?

Saeko: It doesn't matter to me.

Hirano: The more the merrier I say.

Shizuka: They're ok with me.

Takashi: There you have it, you're welcome to join our group. But keep in mind you still need Y/n permission to make it official.

Miku/Kawamoto/Taniuchi: Thank you so much!

Suddenly the walkie-talkie started turning on as Y/n voice start coming through.

Y/n: Hello? Anyone? Saya are you there.

Saya immediately grab the walkie-talkie as she start speaking into it.

Saya: Y/n! Are you ok!? Are you safe!

Y/n: It's great to hear your concern Saya. Me and Rei are ok, sorry for not contacting you sooner.

Saya sigh in relief, Saeko swipe the walkie-talkie from Saya.

Saya: Hey!

Saeko: Where are you, Y/n. Are you ok?

Y/n: Great to hear you're safe, Saeko. After last night explosion with the bus incident, I was concerned.

Saeko: I'm fine, Y/n. Thank you for your concern.

Y/n: Saeko, can you turn up the volume but just enough that Shido doesn't listen to the conversation.

Saeko turn up the volume like she was told as everyone listen in.

Y/n: Everyone listen up, we may have some problems on crossing to the other side of the bridge. It really bad out here, it's basically pure chaos.

Takashi: Is it that bad.

Y/n: Yes, most of the bridges we came across are starting to get blocked by military personnel. It basically impossible to get across anywhere without the military interference.

Saeko: Then how are we supposed to meet you and Rei on the other side of the bridge if military is blocking the bridge.

Y/n: That not the only problem we're dealing with...

Hirano: There's more.

Y/n: Yeah, me and Rei are in front of a full on war between the dead and living. It complete madness out here is dangerous for anyone to go anywhere.

Shizuka: Oh dear.....

Y/n: People are literally killing each other for supplies or finally went insane.

Saya: What your saying it's true then how are we supposed meet you. We barely can go anywhere with all this traffic in front us.

Y/n: Give me a minute to think....... Ok, listen up. I doubt the military personnel will be able to blockade every bridge considering the limited soldiers they have on standby. So go toward Onbetsu Bridge, it one of the only bridge that too far away for the military to stretch out to have blockaded. Me and Rei will keep searching with the other bridges and by chance your unable to go anywhere with the bus, I recommend ditching it and go on foot before nightfall. Alright, I have to go before the sunset.

Saeko: Y/n, you be careful out there alright. I'll see you soon, ok.

Y/n: Sure, Saeko. I'll see you soon, over and out.

Y/n hang up the walki-talkie as Saeko hand it back to Saya.

Takashi: Onbetsu Bridge, I can't believe thing are getting bad out there.

Hirano: Yeah, I can't believe all this happened in one day.

Shizuka: I hope Y/n will be ok out there with Miyamoto.

Saya clenched tightly on the walkie-talkie with a concern expression.

Saya: ......Y/n.

In the streets of Japan....

Mad chaos run wild in the streets as both undead and crazy survivors run rampant.

Crazy survivor: Shits awesome! It looks like Hell!

Rei and Y/n look on in shock by state of things. Unable to comprehend how to take in the scenario in front of them.

Rei: This is crazy. It's like a war.

Y/n: This might be worse than a war. It's too dangerous to be here. I'm gonna go through it. Hold on tight!

Rei: Ok!

Rei grab on tight as Y/n start driving right through the chaos. One of the crazy survivors spot them coming by.

Crazy survivor: Hey!

Y/n and Rei speed through the streets both undead and survivors who's trying to kill them.

Y/n: Hang on, Rei!

Y/n manages to dodge all of the survivors' attacks on them as they made it out of the streets.

Rei: Why are they trying to kill us? We're still human!

Y/n: They're going mad. Just like we are.

Rei: Like we are? *thought* Mom, Dad. I hope they're ok.

Y/n: Huh?

Suddenly Y/n sees something up ahead as he makes a sharp turn making Rei confused.

Rei: Isn't the bridge straight ahead?

Y/n stop the bike as he looks back at Rei.

Y/n: Look at the other side of the bridge. Did you see it?

Rei: See it?

Rei turns around to look at the bridge but what she saw made her gasp in shock seeing the state of it.

Y/n: Who knows when we'll be able to cross over. Let's go toward Onbetsu Bridge and try to meet up with the others. I just hope that not all of them are the same or else that would be a problem for us.

Rei: Do you think will be able to meet the others on time.

Y/n: We will Rei, I promise Saeko will meet up with them and I tend to keep it.

Rei hugs Y/n back as they drive off toward the next bridge.

At the Bridge....

Officer: I repeat! Please stay calm and continue to follow police instructions! Currently, city wide traffic has been restricted. Any unauthorized persons who attempt to cross the river will be reprimanded. Additionally, crossing by foot is also prohibited.

Mad chaos continues spreading even on the bridge as people are seen trying to get to the other side of the bridge to escape the undead.

Security guard: Hey! Wait!

Hide: You were looking at her panties, weren't you?!

Some delinquent kids started causing trouble for civilians on the bridge.

Hide: Hey, move it!

Bimbo: Shut up, granny!

Other student: Move it!

Officer: Attention, students! Do not attempt to cross the bridge! This is our final warning!

Hide: Don't give me that shit! As if we'd listen to the cops! Who needs them when we've got the juvenile law?!

Bimbo: You're so cool, Hide~!

Officer: Releasing water!

Officers spray high pressure water sending two of the four students over the bridge and into the water. Making the the two remaining students to be shocked and scared.

Bimbo: M-Mr. Officer, they made me-

Officer: Releasing water!

Back at the Bus....

Shido continue his ranting speech however things are getting worst with some of the students becoming entranced by his speech.

Shido: As members of Fujimi Academy, it's during trying times like these that we must keep our pride! We must keep our pride! Meaning those two who got off the bus, L/n-kun and Miyamoto-san, don't belong with us anyway! Let's stick together in order to survive! Let us work together and triumph!

Y/n group notice this as they were getting concerned with that starting to arise from Shido group.

Takashi: He's seriously insane.

Saeko: Indeed. He is comparable to a recruitment officer for a religious cult.

Saya: Comparable to? No, that's exactly what he's doing. Just look at the people who are listening to his crap. They're a cult. This marks the birth of the Shido Religion.

Takashi: We might need to ditch this bus like Y/n said earlier. It's already sunset and we're running out of time.

Saeko: Look at the situation outside. In order to escape, I believe we will need to leave this bus. Somehow, we must make it to the east police station by means of crossing Onbetsu Bridge. I must keep my promise to meet Y/n there.

Saya: Wow, you really have Y/n on your mind. You aren't worried about your family?

Saeko: I do worry, but the only kin I have is my father. He is overseas at a dojo. As such, all I have to hold onto right now is my life and my promise with Y/n.

Saya started feeling a bit irritated and jealous from Saeko.

Saeko: Father has always taught me that a promise must be kept, even if it should cost you your life. And I'm making sure to keep my promise with Y/n.

Shizuka: Where do you all live?

Saya: My house is in the same area as Komuro's and Y/n on the other side of Onbetsu Bridge.

Hirano: Uhm, my parents aren't in the neighborhood, but I'll follow Takagi-san to the end of the world.

Saya: Gross!

Takashi: Where is your family, Hirano?

Hirano: My dad is in Amsterdam buying supplies, since he's a jewel merchant. My mom is a fashion designer and she's been in Paris.

Shido stop his ranting speech as he notice Y/n group talking among themselves.

Shido: What's wrong, you guys? We should work together.

Saya: Thanks but no thanks, Shido-sensei. We've got our own agenda. We're not on a field trip, so we have no reason to stay with you.

Shido: Oh? If you've decided to leave, then feel free to do so, Takagi. Japan is the land of the free after all. However.....

Shido sadistically licked his lips as he look directly at Ms. Shizuka.

Shido: It'd be bad if you went, Marikawa-sensei.

Shizuka gasped in fear as the other girls get in front her to protect her from Shido.

Shido: In this situation, losing our medic would be very problematic. So, how about it? Won't you stay? These students are relying on you.

Shido began walking towards Shizuka but Hirano shot him with his nail gun which flew passed his cheek and embedded into a nearby seat in front of one of the students.

Shido: Hi-Hirano-kun? You...You shot at me....

Both Hirano and Takashi are seen taking a stance in front of Shido. Takashi readying his bat and Hirano keeping his gun aim at Shido.

Hirano: It's not that I missed. I missed on purpose, you douchebag.

Shido: S-Since when have you been so viol--

Hirano: How many corpses do you think I wrecked back at school? You know, you've always treated me like crap! But I put up with it because of Y/n who treated me like a normal person and became my best friend. So, I put up with it! I wanted to be normal, so I kept putting up with it! But I don't need to do that anymore. Normal doesn't mean shit! That's why I can kill. I can kill the living too.

Pointing his nail gun at Shido face making Shido back away in fear.

Shido: H-Hirano-kun, t-that's -

Hirano: Busujima-sempai, you should get off first. Me and Takashi will guard the rear!

Takashi: I'll guard you on the way out.

Saeko open the bus door as she look back at the two.

Saeko: What a fine men you two are, Hirano-kun, Kumuru-kun.

The rest of Y/n group follow Saeko out of the bus.

Hirano: Go with them, Takashi. I'm right behind you.

Takashi: Alright, but hurry! We don't have much time before it gets dark.

Takashi runs out of the bus.

Hirano: You know, Y/n was able to take a shot at you to get payback for Rei. So how about take mine....

Hirano aims at Shido's legs.

Shido: No wait-

Suddenly change direction to shoot a nail into Shido' right eye.

Shido: AHHHHH! MY EYE!

Hirano: That's my payback, you fucking asshole.

Hirano runs out of the bus as Shido screams in pain closing the door behind him.

Meanwhile....

Y/n and Rei arrived at another bridge inspecting it from afar to see it was already blocked off as well like the others.

Y/n: It's the same here.

Rei: Now what? Check on a different bridge?

Y/n: That sounds pointless. I bet all of the bridges have been blocked. Otherwise, there's no reason for the police to be there. Somehow, we need to get across Onbetsu Bridge and get to the east police station by 7 PM.

Rei: But how?

Y/n: Lemme think.

Rei: Right now. I wish--

Y/n: Don't say it, Rei. Even if you do, things won't change, I'm sorry.

They had a moment of silence before Y/n remembered the walkie-talkie.

Y/n: Hang on, let me contact Saya to see if they made it across.

Pulling out his walkie talkie then turned it on.

Y/n: Saya, are you there? Hello.

However, he can only thing he can hear was static.

Y/n: That doesn't sound good.

Rei: What's wrong.

Kagari: No one's picking up.

Rei: Maybe try getting in a certain range.

Y/n tries contacting her again.

Y/n: Saya, are you there? Anyone.

Still no response from anyone.

Y/n: Seriously guys! Can anyone hear me!

Suddenly gunshots can be heard from a distance.

Rei: Gunshot?

Y/n: No that's-

Saya yelled over the walkie-talkie.

Saya: Y/N, HELP!!!!

Y/n and Rei drive full throttle towards Onbetsu Bridge.

Onbetsu Bridge......

On the bridge, Saeko, Takashi, and Hirano can be seen fighting the undead as they were surrounded by undead.

Shizuka: M-M-Maybe it would've been better if we had stayed on the bus with Shido-sensei!

Saya: What's that? I thought you said you hated him?

Shizuka: Well, I really don't like him, but I don't like walking either.

Miku: Look out, Hirano!

Hirano kills another undead that was approaching.

Hirano: Thanks!

He than noticed he starting to run low on nails.

Hirano: Busujima-sempai, I'm low on nails!

Saeko: Would you like to borrow this?

Hirano: I'm no good at close range combat!

Takashi: How are there this many of them!? This is complete insanity!

Saeko: Right now! The only thing I can do is fight!

Back with Y/n and Rei they're seen driving down a narrow street below the bridge. Seeing a small ramp in front of them, he rep-up on the handle.

Y/n: Hold on, Rei! I'm going to jump it!

Rei: Wait a sec, Y/n!

Shizuka: Nooo!

The undead began to swarm around them. Ms.
Shizuka pushed Saya away but Miku, Kawamoto, and Taniuchi were surrounded by undead.

Miku: Help!

Taniuchi: I don't want to die!

Kawamoto: Someone please save us!

Takashi, Hirano, and Saeko look back seeing that their in endanger.

Takashi: No!

Hirano: Takagi-san!

Saeko: Damn!

Y/n and Rei drove up the truck and off the ramp. Giving them enough speed to reach the bridge. Everyone look up to see Rei and Y/n.

Takashi/Saeko/Hirano: Y/n-kun!

Shizuka/Saya: Miyamoto!

Rei jumped off the bike and stabbed an undead with her staff, she then proceeded to knock more off the bridge.

Y/n drive toward Hirano as he pull out the police gun from last night then toss it to him.

Y/n: Hirano! Catch!

Kohta grabbed the gun, smiled, and shot two rounds at the zombie.

Hirano: Double tap!

Then Y/n drove towards Saeko, stretching his
arm out for to grab.

Y/n: Saeko!

Saeko grabbed Y/n hand and spun the bike around, making Saeko spin in the air and Takashi ducked as she smacked the zombies away.

Y/n pulled out his pistol and shot the remaining undead in their heads. The whole area of the bridge was finally cleared out of undead.

Y/n: I think that the last of them. *thought* About time at least, I need to check on how many ammo I have left.

Shizuka: Wow!

Saeko: It seems we have cleared this area.

Shizuka: Wow that was tough!

Saya: It's not like you did anything.

Rei: Sensei!

Rei ran up to Shizuka giving her a hug.

Shizuka: Oh my, Miyamoto-san! What a goincidence!

Rei: Don't you mean coincidence?

Shizuka: Y/n too! It amazing seeing you again!

Y/n: Yeah, I'm glad everyone is safe and ok.

Saeko: I take it that Tokonosu Bridge is also closed off.

Y/n: Yup. There's nowhere to go.

Saeko: In that case, I am glad to see that you are okay, Y/n-kun.

Y/n: You too, Saeko.

Saya suddenly hugs Y/n arm while giving an angry pout.

Saya: And what about me?

Y/n: Yes, same for you, Saya. I'll be honest, you had me worried when you yelled in the walkie-talkie earlier.

Y/n hugged Saya while rubbing her head to comfort her.

Y/n: I'm glad you're still alive, Saya.

Saya: You had we worried all night, but I'm glad you're okay. *thought* I don't know what I'll do without you in my life.

Y/n: Which reminds me aren't those three girls part of Shido's group. What are they doing here?

Saya: Well, after you forced Shido to confess on his wrongdoings. They said they didn't feel safe with him. Kumuro let them come with us after asking us for our opinion.

Y/n: I see...

Miku ran towards Y/n.

Miku: Thank you for saving us! If you didn't stand up to Shido, who knows what he would have done to us. Please, can we stay with you? We don't feel safe around Mr. Shido after what he's done and we won't survive out here on our own. Please, take us in.

Taniuchi: We are forever in your debt, Y/n-kun!

Kawamoto: We promise to help you and the group from now on!

Y/n: Honestly, it wasn't an issue. You're welcome to join and I'm glad Takashi took charge while I was gone.

Takashi walk over to Y/n.

Takashi: Glad to see you're not dead, man. Cool ride.

Y/n and Takashi fist bump.

Y/n: Thanks man, feel free to use it and thanks for taking over while I was gone. Hey, Hirano you liking your new gun?

Hirano: Y/n~! What's this?! How'd you get it?! Bullets? This is the same Smith & Wesson M37 Airweight that the police use, right?!

Y/n: We can talk about it later, the sun setting down is about to be dark soon.

Y/n and the others were now sitting by the sidewalk nearby a river, discussing what to do next.

Saeko: We exited the bus due to the blocking of the road and have been unable to cross the river. The water level went up. I guess it wouldn't be possible to go upstream. So what should we do?

Y/n: I think we should rest now. We can't continue in the dark if we can see them and after that fight on the bridge is better for everyone to relax until you gain your strength back.

Saeko: Good idea.

Shizuka: "Rest?"

Takashi: Do you know somewhere we can go, Ms Shizuka.

Shizuka: You see, there's a place we can use. It's nearby, so we can walk there.

Y/n: Is it your boyfriend's?

Shizuka: N-No! It belongs to my female friend! She's always busy and traveling because of work! She gave me the key. I go over there while she's gone and let some fresh air in.

Hirano: Is it an apartment? Is the view good?

Shizuka: Yeah! It's a maisonette that's next to the river. It's close to a convenience store too. Oh, and she has a car, too. It looks like a tank and it's thiiis big!

Saya: Well, I'm really tired. I'd like to shower while there's still working electricity.

Y/n get on his bike as call over, Shizuka.

Y/n: Me and Shizuka will go on first to see if it safe and secure. Get on, Shizuka.

An hour later, Y/n and his group arrived at Shizuka's friend house.

Rei: I bet those things can't jump the fence. We should be able to sleep peacefully. Anyway, we should hurry--

Just then, moans can be heard as some of the undead come out of the nearby houses.

Y/n: I guess we have to clear this place up before we enter the house.

Takashi: Do we ever catch a break with these freaks.

Saya comes over to Y/n handing him a crowbar.

Saya: How's this, Y/n?

Y/n: It's good enough and here.

Y/n hands Saya his backpack as she take it.

Y/n: Now, stay back. Remember to cover for one another. Let's go!

They charged forward and began killing all of the undead in the area.

Y/n: *thought* Thinking back on it, the way in which we changed was surprising. At that time, we didn't run away. In order to survive, we quit running away and started attacking. And none of us stopped to question ourselves. We had changed. We had changed so much in just a day.
