Newswoman: Emergency News Coverage The number of deaths in the Saitama prefecture already exceeds 10,000. The prefectural governor has declared a state of emergency--

A gun fire goes off in the background spooking the newswoman.

Newswoman: That was gunfire!

The cameramen point the camera at the officers and what their shooting at.

Newswoman: Just now, the police opened gunfire! But what are they shooting at?!

Out of nowhere an undead start coming after newswoman causing the cameraman to drop the camera to the floor as everyone can hear the newswoman scream.

Newswoman: No! Stay away! Help!

Until the broadcast cuts off to static as everyone in the room look on in terror and shock on what they just witness.

Y/n: Oh no.

Present...

The screen turns to "Emergency News Coverage Please Stand By." until returning to the main news station.

Broadcast lady: There's been some sort of problem. F-From now on, we'll be broadcasting from the studio here. As you can tell, the situation outside has become grave. We advise you please stay in your home unless necessary. Once it's safer outside, we'll bring you information about the on-going situation.

Takashi slam his fist in agitation.

Takashi: That's all? Why aren't they saying more?

Saeko: Because they're afraid of causing panic.

Takashi: A panic.

Rei: Even now?

Saya: Is because of what happened just now! Idiot!

Y/n: Calm down Saya there no point in yelling.

Saya: Sorry, Y/n.

Y/n: Rei, you must understand whatever happening out there in the city is getting out of control for the government to even understand on how to handle it properly. The last thing they need is the whole country going in a full on riot becoming fear leads to chaos; chaos leads to anarchy. How would you expect the government to deal with the living dead in a time of anarchy?

The news station continue talking about the outbreak.

Broadcast lady: This unusual phenomenon has spread throughout America and has yet to be brought under control. The government authorities have evacuated the White House and will relocate to a command center on-board an aircraft carrier. There are reports that this transfer is in preparation for the possible use of tactical warheads. We have currently lost contact with Moscow. Beijing has been set ablaze. London has maintained order, but in Paris and Rome, there are reports of looting. Government officials have declared m-m-martial l-law-

The news station cut off leaving everyone in the room conflicted by the surprising news they've heard that going on around the world.

Takashi: So, they're all over the world.

Hirano: But how? When I was surfing the web this morning, it was business as usual.

Rei: I can't believe that it only took a few hours for the world to come to this.

Rei grab at Y/n jacket looking for comfort from him.

Rei: But there must be some place that's safe, right? And soon, things will be back to normal.

Y/n: Sorry Rei but there no way everything going back to normal.

Saya: Y/n right Miyamoto so just keep dreaming.

Takashi: Do you two really have to say it like that?

Saya: This is a pandemic. What am I supposed to say?

Shizuka: A pandemic?

Saya: It's when an epidemic of infectious disease spreads. So, the same disease that's infected people here is spreading throughout the world.

Takashi: Like influenza?

Y/n: More like the Spanish Flu of 1918. Over 600 million people were infected by it, and 50 million people died from it. Think about recently when people were worried about that new type of influenza.

Shizuka: Isn't this more like the Black Death of the 14th century?

Saya: Europe's population went down by a third during that time. You're smarter than you look.

Takashi: How did those diseases stop?

Shizuka: There are lots of theories, but the reason why diseases like those "die" is because they killed so many that there's not enough people left to spread it.

Hirano: But in this case, the dead are moving around and attacking people.

Saeko: Then you are implying it has no reason to stop spreading?

Y/n: To put it simple for everyone here, no. Once a virus spreads to one individual to another there's no way on stopping it. That include the undead who are roaming around looking for any living person to devour and spread the infection.

Saya: Exactly on what I was thinking.

Shizuka: But it's so hot outside! Maybe their flesh will start decomposing and they won't be able to move!

Saeko: And what is the duration of this process?

Shizuka: Well, during summer, it takes around 22 days for some parts of the body to decompose. But during the winter, it can take months. That's not too terribly long.

Saya: You're kidding? She's not smarter than she looks.

Y/n: It impossible for decomposition to happen in this situation, Shizuka.

Takashi: So, what are you saying?

Saya: How do we know they'll even start to decompose?

Y/n: Or even die out overtime.

Takashi: Why do you say that?

Saya: Don't these things defy our knowledge of medicine? So why bother relying on it? It could be hopeless.

Y/n: Plus, the undead keep moving around place to place so even if summer arrive, they can just hide inside an abandoned building, house, or something. Not to mention once a person is bitten then die from the bite wound, they come back as one of them. Basically, destroying any knowledge on how cure anyone at this point since you can't cure a dead person.

Saeko: What is important is having a location to make use of after we check on our families. Should we act only in our own self-interest, we stand not a chance.

Y/n: Let's act as a team. Together we have a high chance of surviving together than apart.

Saeko/Shizuka/Hirano/Saya/Takashi/Rei: Right!

Everyone starts gearing up as they get ready to escape the school.

Saeko: We should help survivors as our ability allows us to.

Y/n: But make sure none of them are infected and can be trusted before we let them join got it.

Rei: How do we get out?

Saya: The front door is closest to the parking lot.

Y/n: Let's go!

Y/n opens the door with Hirano going in front to shoot down two undead and Takashi swinging his bat at the third one as they all continue forward in the hallway.

Saeko: Just to confirm, you need not begin fighting unless it is inevitable. Refrain from fighting when the opportunity arises.

Saya: They only respond to sound. Additionally, they're powerful enough to break down a normal door. So, once they get a hold of you, you're gonna get eaten.

Y/n: And lastly, they can infect you with either a bite or scratch and they gather in groups so whatever you do don't let them surround you or you're a goner for sure.

A loud scream was heard from a distance where a small group of students are cornered by undead.

Naomi: Be careful, Takuzo!

Takuzo: Shit, Stay back!

Before any of the undead could attack them, Hirano shoots one in the head as Saeko and Y/n follow by jumping over the ledge then landing follow next with stabbing and bashing couple of undead.

Rei and Takashi kill a couple of undead in both side of the stairway. Y/n and Saeko killing two more undead finally clearing out the area of any undead.

Naomi: T-Thanks.

Saya: Not too loud.

Y/n: Is there a person among you with a bite?

Naomi: N-No, no one.

Rei: They really do look fine.

Y/n: I can't believe that statement alone. Mind pulling up your sleeves and skirts to be certain you're telling the truth.

Rei: Y/n!?

Y/n: Rei, I'm not taking the chance if one of them is bitten and there hiding their infection to save their own life.

Saeko: Y/n is right, Rei.

Saya: How about this me, you, and Saeko will check on the girls and Y/n, Takashi, and Hirano will check on the boys. How does that sound?

Y/n: I'm fine with that.

Rei: Ok then.

Y/n group start checking the small group of survivors, checking to see if they have any bite wounds or unknown scratches however none were found making the group statement true.

Y/n: Alright they're all clear. No sign of infection to be found.

Takashi: Hey we're getting outta here. Wanna come with us?

Naomi: Y-Yes!

A couple minutes has pass and Y/n group find themselves stuck in the stairway having the exit being blocked by a group of undead that led to the outside parking lot.

Takashi: A bunch of them are down there.

Y/n: And too many to count.

Saya: What's the point of hiding here? They use their ears, not their eyes.

Takashi: Then why don't you prove that for us, Takagi?

Saeko: Regardless, if we remain inside of the school as such, we will be unable to move once attacked.

Y/n: And if it dark it will be more dangerous to even escape or hide inside the school because we won't be able to see where they are before they attack.

Rei: No way out but through the gate, huh.

Saeko: We require someone to validify the truth behind Takagi-Kun's words.

Y/n thinks for a moment to himself until deciding to do it himself.

Y/n: I'll go.

Everyone was caught by surprise by Y/n statement that Rei and Saeko try telling him stay.

Rei: No Y/n, I'll go. You stay.

Saeko: It would be more preferable if I were to go ahead of you.

Y/n: You should stay back in case something happens, Busujima-sempai. Both you and Rei are valuable fighters along with Takashi and Hirano.

Rei: But why, Y/n?!

Y/n: Who knows?

Rei: "Who knows"?

Y/n: Really, who knows?

Saeko: Rei, I understand how you feel. Regardless, this decision was made by no one but himself.

Y/n goes downstairs as everyone from Y/n group get concerned and worried as Y/n reach the bottom and stand still remaining calm as an undead walk toward his direction. Preparing his knife getting ready to kill the undead.....

But the undead just walk pass him as Y/n put away his knife proving Saya theory to be true.

Y/n: *thought* They really can't see me? That something new to add in my zombie knowledge but if their blind, in that case...

Y/n bend down and grab a shoe from the floor as he throws it at the opposite direction of hallway, hitting the locker and getting all undead attention to follow the sound of the noise.

Y/n turn around to everyone giving them a thumb up as they all sigh in relief.

Saya: Thank God, I was right.

Takashi: Alright let's go.

Y/n open one of the doors with Saeko opening the other as everyone start coming down from the staircase. One after another they're almost clear until one of the survivors from the other group accidently bang his metal staff on stair handle causing a loud echoing sound. Getting every undead in the area to hear it.....

Takashi/ Y/n: RUN!

Saya: Why'd you do that?! If you hadn't yelled, we'd probably only have to worry about the ones close to us!

An undead appears behind Saya but Saeko save Saya just in time by bashing the undead away.

Rei: No way! Didn't you hear that echo? So just start swinging!

Y/n: I guess it time to switch out to the big guns!

Y/n put away his pistol and reach out for his backpack to pull out a shotgun.

Rei: Is that a freaking shotgun!?!

Y/n just smiled at her.

Y/n: You know it, Rei!

He says as he cocks back the handle of the gun and point it at undead, blasting it away afterwards.

Hirano tries getting a shot in but sees there's more of them.

Hirano: There's more of them!

Takashi goes up ahead and swing his bat sending it flying back.

Y/n follow behind by shooting four more undead.

Y/n: Don't talk! Just run! RUN!

Everyone makes a run for it, killing any undead that comes in their way.

Reaching the parking lot, Saeko and Takashi kill two zombies ahead followed by Rei stabbing another then sending it back flying. Hirano and Y/n follows suit with shooting any infected from a range.

Takuzo get surrounded as tries fending them off to the best of his abilities get grab by the towel around his neck as pulls him down. As two undead bite down on his arms follow by more from behind that start bitting him everywhere.

Author: To be honest that's his own fault for wearing a towel around his neck. It was begging to be grabbed.

Naomi: Takuzo!

Naomi stops mid run as she looks back seeing her boyfriend getting devoured as Takuzo tells her to run.

Takuzo: Naomi! Run!

Naomi: Takuzo!

Saya stops her from going to him.

Saya: Forget him! There's no point in trying to save him if he's already been bitten!

Naomi looks at Saya with tears in her eyes as she disagrees and runs back toward him dignifying her death.

Saya: Wait Why? I told her it's useless. Why is she going back for him?

Shizuka: I understand. With the whole world gone to hell, I'd much rather die with the one I love. *thought* That being with Y/n, my first and true love.

Saya was annoyed by this as she just yells at Shizuka.

Saya: What kind of doctor are-

Undead almost bite Saya but was killed just in time from Hirano.

Hirano: Watch out!

Y/n follow behind with shooting down two more undead.

Y/n: Please calm down, Saya! This isn't the time to argue!

Saya: What the hell Y/n!?! And you filthy nerd! Who gave you two the right to interrupt me while I'm talking?

Hirano: Well, I don't know. I thought you needed saving.

Y/n: And I prefer you don't strain that beautiful voice of yours Saya. It brings me joy hearing you talk.

Saya blush from Y/n comment about her voice.

Saeko: I envy your close relationship.

An undead was about to get Shizuka, luckily Takashi saves her life by bashing the undead away from her.

Takashi: Sensei, the key!

Shizuka opens the door of the bus as her, Saya, and Hirano get in with Hirano opening one of the windows and checking the parameter of his shooting angle.

Hirano: Target? Check. Public safety? Check. Ready to rock and roll!

Saya: Oh, hurry up and shoot them already!

Saeko, Takashi, and Y/n are busy fending off the undead away from the bus until everyone gets in before they leave.

Saeko: They're all in, Takashi, Y/n!

Takashi: You first, sempai!

Y/n: Will make sure none try to get close enough to the bus!

Shizuka turn on the bus find some difficulties on how to drive it.

Shizuka: This isn't like my car! Uhm The gas, the brake, the clutch.

Saeko, Takashi, and Y/n get on the bus as Takashi was about to close the door until...

???: Help us!

There's a group of survivors running towards them and among them is a teacher but....

Takashi: Who's that?

Saeko: That is Shido. He teaches 3-A. Shido.

A teacher that both Y/n and Rei despise with their very existence.

Rei/ Y/n: Shido.

Shizuka: We're ready to go!

Takashi: Hold on a bit!

Shizuka: There's some swarming in the front too.
I can't drive if there's too many of them bunched together!

Takashi: So, run them over!

Saya: If we do that with this bus, we'll end up rolling over!

Takashi tries to get out to help but Rei holds him back from going.

Rei: Don't save him!

Takashi: Rei, what's your problem?

Rei: You don't need to save him! We should leave him to die!

Y/n: She right Takashi! Is better if we leave them! Especially Shido himself! I don't want that son a bitch in this bus!

Takashi: Not you too, Y/n!

Rei: See! Even Y/n understand what I'm getting at! So just leave him and let's go!

Shido: Everyone! Hurry! I guarantee you'll make it out alive.

Female student: Okay, teacher!

Shido: *thought* Despite what I said, I wonder if they'll even make it to the bus.

The group continue running pass Shido as he's directing them toward the bus. One of the students that was lacking behind them ended up tripping and falling to floor in front of Shido spraining his ankle.

Male student: I sprained my ankle!

Shido: Oh, is that so? Then it's the end for you.

Shido gave a sinister look to his student as raise his foot and kicked his face, breaking his glasses causing to scream in agony glass in his eyes. As Shido walks away from him with undead surrounding the student to devour him.

Shido: The world as we knew it has come to an end. In this world, it's the survival of the fittest.

However, this didn't go unnoticed from Y/n who watched the whole scene happen.

Y/n: *thought* You're a dead man Shido, you hear me. I'm not letting you get away with this.

Takashi close the door after everyone finally got in the bus. Yelling out to Shizuka to hit it.

Takashi: Shizuka-sensei!

Shizuka: We're off!

They start driving off in top speed toward the exit while avoiding any undead on the road.

Saya: To the gate!

Shizuka: I know!

Shizuka a whole horde of undead student as she tells herself they're not alive anymore

Shizuka: They're not humans. They're not humans anymore!

Ramming through the horde of undead until breaking through the school gat and finally escaping the school but this was only the beginning of their troubles.

Hirano and Y/n are seen reloading and checking on their gear while Takashi can't believe they finally escape.

Takashi: Looks like we made it.

Hirano: Yeah.

Y/n: But this is only the beginning.

Takashi: What make you say that Y/n?

Y/n: Remember we're in the outside world now so there more of them everywhere than back at the school.

Takashi: Shit, your right.

Y/n: Plus that the least of our problems.

Y/n said as he point his direction at Shido who's talking to Saeko.

Shido: Thank you for saving us. Are you the leader, Busujima-san?

Saeko: We are without one. Our survival is simply the product of our teamwork.

Shido just smirk at opportunity at hand.

Male student: Our city! Look!

Everyone look out the windows of the bus seeing the city.

The city was in chaos, buildings on fire, people on the streets going on a rampage, it was just in complete shambles.

Later....

They continue driving down the road but a certain student from Shido group is causing trouble in the bus.

Tsunoda: We'll never make it if we keep going! First off, why do we have to do whatever you guys planned to do? You all decided to go back to the city without asking us. Couldn't we have just looked for a safe place inside the school?

Kurokami: He's right! We should find a place to hide, like that convenience store we just passed by.

Shizuka stop the bus getting frustrated with all the complaining going on from the back of the bus.

Shizuka: I've had it! I can't drive with all of you yelling!

Tsunoda: Yeah, whatever.

Saeko: Then what do you wish to do?

Tsunoda then points at Takashi.

Tsunoda: I can't stand this guy! I hate him!

Hirano was about to do something, but Saya stop him.

Takashi: Why? What did I ever say to you?

Tsunoda: You- You know!

Tsunoda charge at Takashi but before Rei could anything, Y/n step in by tackling Tsunoda to the ground catching everyone by surprise.

Tsunoda: What the- Ack!

Before Tsunoda could say or do anything, Y/n start beating the living hell out of him by punching Tsunoda face repeatedly until he was bleeding from his face and started begging Y/n to stop by covering his face.

Y/n: Here's a lesson asshole, don't start causing trouble for everyone because you feel frustrated. If you wanted to stay at school so badly then why did you come with us, then?

Tsunoda: F-Fuck you!

Y/n just punch his face in one more time, knocking him out completely and getting everyone surprised except for Shido who was getting nervous for a bit until recollecting himself and started clapping.

Shido: Splendid work. Komuro-kun, L/n-Kun, that was some excellent teamwork. But, hmm the fact that this conflict arose simply proves what I stated earlier. We really do need a leader. Do you understand? And there's only one person who can do the job?

Neither Y/n or his group was buying Shido crap and some of the students are hesitant on what to do or who to side with in the argument and causing Rei to get irritated from Shido nonsense.

Shido stop mid-sentence when Y/n bash Shido face in with the back of his shotgun along with breaking his glasses in process. Shido fell to the floor with his glasses and blood falling to the ground as he grabs his face in pain.

Y/n grab Shido by the collar and pin him to one of the chairs while taking out his pistol and pointing it at Shido mouth to shut him up.

Y/n: You listen here dipshit! I had it with your lies and manipulation ever since I first met you at school. You have cause nothing but trouble for my friends at school especially for Rei if you get what I mean.

Shido is unable to say anything back with a gun pointing at his mouth, but it caught everyone attention when Y/n mention something Shido did to Rei.

He has many connections because of it, and he was helping Rei dad on this investigation until he was told to stand down for reason. My dad found it suspicious, so he decided to go on his own and that when he learned about your father telling you to do something to Rei grades as a "lesson" to her father on backing off. And after learning what happened from my dad then with Rei, I'm beyond pissed off with you, Shido. You have hurt my dear childhood friend and I'm going to make you pay for what you did!

Pulling away the gun from Shido mouth then pointing it at his crotch making Shido nervous as hell.

Y/n get off the bus leaving Saya speechless. As Saya looks down at the walkie talkie in her hand.

Saeko: He's always thinking two steps ahead before any of us could think.

Hirano: That Y/n for you.

Saya clench at the walkie talkie getting concern about Y/n.

Saya: Y/n. *thought* Stay safe you loveable idiot.

Saeko: Whatever the case, Y/n did us a favor for taking care of a problem in front of us.

Y/n group look behind as they stare at Shido bleeding on the floor clutching his private while whimpering in pain.

Hirano: At least he won't have the "balls" to try anything else.

Outside the bus, Y/n can hear Rei and Takashi arguing with each other near a tunnel.

Rei: No way in hell am I going to be anywhere near him!

Takashi: Rei If you're saying that you can't get along, then we'll just have to split.

Rei: What's that supposed to mean?!

Rei tries leave but Takashi grab her hand to stop her.

Takashi: Wait! You just have to put up with him until we get to the city. Besides, it's way too dangerous to-

The flaming bus continues driving in top speed until hitting a car causing it to flip forward then slide towards the three. Y/n manages to push Takashi to the side and grab Rei, pulling her inside the tunnel saving them both.

Takashi recovers quickly and Saeko get out of the bus and went to check on Y/n and Rei.

Saeko: Y/n! Are the two of you unharmed?

Y/n: We're ok!

Takashi: What are you guys going to too! The bus block the tunnel! We can't reach you!

Y/n: The police station! We'll meet at the East Police Station.

Saeko: At what time?

Y/n: 7 PM! If it doesn't work out today, then we'll try again tomorrow!

Saeko: Alright! Be careful out there!

Y/n: Ok! Same to you!

Undead start busting out of the bus making Saeko and Takashi return back to the bus.

Saeko: Dr. Marikawa, we are unable to advance.

Shizuka: Okay, I'll turn back and find another route.

They drive off to another direction to avoid the undead from the bus. However, Y/n saw a glimpse of spark coming from bus causing him to panic.

Y/n: Crap. Let's get out of here!

Y/n picks up Rei, bridal style causing her to blush in embarrassment.

Rei: Y/n!? What are you-

Y/n: The bus is about to explode!

He starts running with Rei in hand to escape through the tunnel as the bus finally explode. They make it out in time before the whole tunnel got caught in flame.

Rei: We made it out.

Y/n: Yeah.

Rei notice Y/n was still holding her in bridal style.

Rei: *embarrassed* M-mind putting me down, Y/n. This is kind of embarrassing.

Y/n: Oh right, sorry. Was in the spur of the moment.

Y/n put her down as she turns around blushing. Out of nowhere Y/n gets tackled by an undead wearing a biker helmet from behind.

Y/n: Gah!

Rei: Y/n!

Pushing Y/n to the ground as Y/n tries his best to hold the undead back while reaching for his knife.

Y/n: Get off me! You undead freak!

Before the undead could take a bite from Y/n, Rei saves him just in time by killing the undead with a large blunt object on the back of it head.

Y/n: Goddamn! Thanks for the save, Rei.

Rei stretches out her hand to Y/n.

Rei: Let's go, Y/n.

Y/n: Yeah.

Grabbing her hand with a smile as they both go up the hill together, leaning on each other for support as they walk toward the city.

Rei: Are we going to walk to the city?

Y/n: If we don't have another way, yeah.

Until Y/n remembered the undead was wearing a biker helmet.

Y/n: Wait, he was wearing a helmet. Which means...

They go toward the road where they find a motorcycle. Y/n went down to check on it to see if it in working condition before bringing it back up and turning on the engine.

Rei: I didn't know you had a license.

Y/n: High schoolers have the right to drive without a license! Plus, my dad taught me how drive a motorcycle in case he's unable to take me anywhere just as long I stay in speed limit.

Rei: Your dad sound amazing if he taught you how to drive.

Y/n: Yeah, he wants me to be independent if I ever decide to live on my own. Come on, let's go before it get too dark to see anything.

Rei: Ok.

Y/n: Oh wait, hold on.

Y/n takes off his backpack and gives it to Rei.

Y/n: That way you can hold on to me better as we go.

Rei smile and nod as she puts on the backpack then gets on the bike with Y/n as she wraps her arms around him. Y/n rev up the engine as they sped off toward the highway as they are driving, Rei looks at Y/n with a smile before placing her head on his back snuggling close to him. Y/n look behind him and just smile at Rei before regaining focus on driving on the road.

Y/n: In other words, I already know now that this world has already ended.

Rei: *thought* Thanks Y/n for everything you did for me. I truly know I can count on you for anything. And why I fell in love with you when we were kids.

As they both continue driving toward the city, Y/n was thinking to himself about what they're going through.

Y/n: All that time I read about zombie apocalypse, I never expected to happen but at the same time it was bound to happen sooner or later. In other words, I already know now that this world has already ended.
