STRICTLY BUSINESS
_____________________________
••••••

Lucy Heartfilia shapes the stack of salient paperwork orderly, passing it to her colleague, Yukino Agria, who was in charge of printing. They were good friends in college, so they knew eachother very well. She had short ivory hair, and fair skin, almost matching Lucy's.

"Mr.Dragneel needs twenty-seven copies of these to his office, in less than ten minutes." She states instructively, bowing and heading for the main lobby. The waiting room was bustling with familiar employees, wealthy business partners, and citizens who had arranged meetings with someone from the facility. Skillfully weaving through the large crowd, she catches a staff member that was heading out on break, and she steps inside of the elevator after them, pressing the sixty-ninth button.

She breathes in and out slowly, resting her frame against the side of the contraption. After a short while, the steel double-doors slid open, and she makes her exit. Finally getting to the door of Mr.Dragneel's office, she runs her fingers through her tousled, golden locks of hair, and presses her knuckles to the walnut-wooden door.

She knocks three times, then one, then two, something that showed her identification. She hears a faint 'click' on the other side of the door, then cracked it open. "B--Uwah!! What are you doing!?" Lucy cries as the man drags her into the room, slamming the door and locking it in haste.

"If I'm late to this meeting, the company will be disgraced. Then I'll have to step down as boss, no, maybe I'll even have to close down all of the corporations. Then after my downfall, I'll be unemployed, and once I'm unemployed, I'll have to find another job, and then that other job won't accept me because my own careless actions caused an entire facility to crash and burn.
And then, I'll become homeless and have to live on the unoccupied curbs of streets, and lastly, die from hypothermia. Now, please hurry up." He murmurs rapidly, tuggng at the ends of his blazer.

"...O~kay? But why do I have to go?" She rolls her honey brown eyes as she smoothes out the bunched wrinkles in her ebony pencil skirt.

"You're my beloved secretary aren't you? Plus, I need the moral support." He clarifies, as if stating the complete obvious. She nodded slowly and sat down in one of the two brown-leather chairs in front of his desk. After a few seconds, he peers over at her and his eyes begin to twitch. "Exactly what do you think you're doing?" He inquired, his onyx green orbs narrowing in her particular direction.

"Sitting down." It was now her turn to state the obvious, reclining in the comfortable seat.

"JUST GET READY!!" He demanded in a sonrous roar, causing her to flinch in fright. She nodded her head quickly and tugged on her black and golden coat, seeing to it that it was the middle of Autumn. A low groan eminated from her throat as she realized that she'd have to do something about her matted and tangled hair.

"God, you're gonna be the death of me." He exhales in distress, ambling over to her and fishing a hairtie out of his pocket.

"Don't jinx yourself. Anyway, what do you have a hairtie for?" Lucy hummed as he styled her hair into a high up-do, letting her bangs lazily drape to the sides.

"Me, obviously." He clicks his tongue, fixing her collar, which had gotten disheveled in the short amount of time. In the short period of silence between their sentences, she couldn't help but imagine an exaggerated portraiture of her boss with a ponytail.

"You act like such a bad guy." She mumbles under her breath, but he still was able to make out the collection of syllables. He chuckles darkly and flips her around by the blades of her shoulders, leaning in toward her face.

"What makes you think that I'm not?" He smirks slyly, unwavering his direct eye contact with her. She lightly gasps and tenses up, rembering a memory that only she could recall, from only a week earlier.

"W-well, you act so harsh and ill-tempered, but you're really kind, and...adorable." She grins softly, before realizing her enormous mistake.

"Adorable?" He stifles a chuckle, resting his forehead atop of hers.

"Y-Yes.." She mutters, breaking eye contact and checking her wrist-watch once again.

"It's five-o-three, shouldn't we get going now?" She asks, looking back up at him. Her lips accidentally brush against his, causing her to yelp and jerk herself backwards.

"Fine." He turns around and sits on his heels. "Get on." He stated firmly, though a soft smile spread across his face. Lucy nods slowly and wraps her arms around his tanned neck, a carnation blush still present on her cheeks. He stands up and she throws her thighs around his waist, resting her head on his shoulder.

Efficiently, he carries her out of the room, down sixty-nine flights of stairs, and to the staff-only parking lot, in a matter of twelve minutes. Grabbing his car keys out of his pocket, he unlocks the door and walks over to the passenger side. He grabs the handle and pulls it towards him, allowing Lucy get in first.

"Thank you." She bows and takes a seat on the beige leather cushion, with him closing the door behind her. Heading over to the driver's side, he opens the door and hops in the seat, starting the engine. He shifts the gear into drive, pressing his foot on the gas pedal. He turns onto the two-laner, driving at twenty miles above the speed limit; which was seventy.

"Why is this meeting so important anyway?" Lucy inquires, looking out of the clear, tempered glass window.

"My dad's going to be there." He sighs, running his sweaty hand through his salmon locks of hair.

"Dad? So, you brought me along, so I could meet your dad? Oh my, we're not even dating yet!" She titters, causing him to turn an unnatural shade of cherry.

"Just..let me do the talking and everything will be fine."He explains, pinching the bridge of his nose. She nods away a scoff and twirls a few strands of her golden hair around her slender fingers.
