wooyoungs story
"Congratulations Wooyoung! We've seen your dancing multiple times and it's safe to say we would like you to join our academy, every expense will be paid for already, and it'll last a year. You could be at the top and make it big with your talents! What do you say?" the recruiter said as Wooyoung had just finished his performance. He's worked on it for months trying to perfect every single move possible. From facial expressions to trying to look smooth, Wooyoung practiced all day and all night just for this moment.
He's been looking into a specific school that was in Japan. The school finally noticed his talents after his teacher had submitted a video, putting out a notice for his performance that took place today and that if they wanted to come there would be a ticket included.
He didn't think they would show up. But when he saw the man in a suit walk up to him claiming that he saw the video submitted Wooyoung couldn't help the wide smile on his face. His parents looked at their son fondly, feeling happy that their son would finally make it.
Yeosang and Yunho walked up to the boy after he agreed. They all congratulated Wooyoung and went out to eat to celebrate his first-place win and his recruitment.
____
The day came when Wooyoung would fly off. His friends and family all went to the airport with him, wishing him the best of luck as they watched him board the plane.
Wooyoung sat down in nervousness. His dream that he worked so hard for was coming true.
Am I ready? he asked himself as the plane started moving. He settled his nerves and took a nap convincing himself he would be okay.
4 hours later he hopped off the plane waiting at the baggage claim. He had texted everyone saying he arrived safely sending a cute photo of him beaming with happiness.
He grabbed his bag and saw his name on a piece of paper with the dance academy logo on it. He blushed as he made his way over smiling at the guy.
"Welcome! I'll be taking you to the academy and you'll be learning your way around the building, if there are questions while we drive feel free to ask," he said as he grabbed Wooyoungs bag and started heading out.
Once they made it to the car a man stood outside smiling. "Good morning I'm Haru! I'll be your translator and Japanese teacher while you're here. I hope you have a fun time during your stay!" the man said in Korean as he opened the door for Wooyoung. He couldn't help but feel special. The school was doing so much for him already and he hadn't even arrived at the place yet. He couldn't believe the treatment.
He arrived at the beautiful academy with wide eyes. Haru laughed and got out of the car.
Wooyoung followed saying a small thank you to the driver and went to grab his bags.
"I assume you'd like to see the dance studio right away right? We just need to meet with the director first and then I'll show you." he smiled and started walking towards the door. Wooyoung followed along and stepped inside the building. There were classrooms for translators and practice rooms all around.
"Every translator room has its language, you'll be in room 216 down this hall, we'll go get a printed schedule and you'll be able to see. Since you're a gifted student we give you extra practice time if you want it, you'll have all access to it anytime. The cafeteria is over there open all the time lunch and breakfast, dinner you'll be able to go out, I was assigned to stick with you for a couple of days to show you around so I'll come to get you to show you the area and get some dinner," he said as he knocked on the directors' door.
He heard a response and the door opened.
"Jung wooyoung is here, Wooyoung go ahead," he said gesturing to introduce himself. Wooyoung nervously bowed as he introduced himself in Japanese trying his best to not stutter. The director bowed back and gestured wooyoung to take a seat.
"It's nice that you wanted to come here, I must say I was impressed at how talented you are," he stopped allowing everything to be translated. Once Wooyoung got the message he bowed respectfully saying a shy thank you.
"I have a schedule ready for you, the practice room for you is 310, your room is the only room without a roommate, I'm hoping you practice hard and help us keep our winning streak," he finished handing the schedule to Wooyoung. He read over it as Haru translated everything that was said. His schedule was written in Korean.
His requirement was at least 7 hours of practice a day. He was so used to long days of 9-10 hours practicing. He remembered how he had unlimited access to the practice room and instantly looked at Haru.
"Do you have any questions?" he asked. wooyoung nodded. "Can I see the practice room now!" he said eagerly. The director laughed and nodded once he understood what Wooyoung said.
Haru stood up along with Wooyoung bowing respectfully and left. "There shouldn't be anyone in there but if there is it's fine, they're probably finishing up," Haru said opening the door.
Wooyoung stepped in and looked around. Everything was clean and polished. The room was huge. A row of lockers was set in the corner close to the showers and bathrooms. There were speakers everywhere along with mirrors. He smiled in contentment as he observed the room. He never wanted to leave.

His year was up and he was now flying home. Over the year he's won the school hundreds of awards including individual ones for himself. He raised enough money from all his competitions to build his studio and rent an apartment, with the leftover money he'd give to his parents as a thank you.
_____
He knocked on his parents' door when he arrived. It was more of a surprise arrival. His mother opened the door instantly in tears. Her son was finally back.
Wooyoung was always on the news about winning competitions. He was well-known in the dance community. His parents and friends were so proud of him.
"You're back already? You should've told me I would've cooked your favorite things!" his mother nagged causing him to laugh and hug her. Soon his dad came to the door with a shocked expression. He soon smiled proudly at his son and hugged him also.
"We've been so proud of you," he said as he let go. Wooyoung could only smile in happiness. "It's all thanks to you, but I have a present for you guys!" he said excitedly as he pulled out the envelope full of money.
They looked at him wide-eyed. "It's what's left over of my money, I'm investing in making my studio and I got an apartment, I have enough to keep everything going, I want you to have the rest." he smiled. His mother put the envelope down and cried.
They had always struggled with money, but that didn't stop them from giving Wooyoung the dance lessons he wanted so badly. They did everything to make him happy no matter how tight money was. Wooyoung couldn't do much as a thank you, so he decided to give them the rest so they wouldn't have to struggle, they can pay off whatever they can. He wanted to see them stress-free.
"Wooyoung you'll always have a kind heart huh?" his mother said proudly that her son learned well. Wooyoung smiled. "I learned from the best!" he laughed.
"I'll be heading to the studio soon to say hi, maybe practice a bit," he said as he hugged both his parents and headed upstairs to get ready.
____
"Be careful okay!" he heard his mom and dad shout. "Okay I love you guys!" he shouted back hearing an I love you too as he closed the door.
He arrived at the studio and said hi to everyone. they all caught up and decided to see Wooyoungs new dance moves.
It's been hours and everyone decided to leave but Wooyoung insisted he stay a while longer, missing his old practice room and fantasizing about his own.
He was a sweaty mess and it was late. He changed quickly and walked out, turning the lights off and locking the door. As he walked out a boy around his age came up to him with a small smile.
"Hey, got 10 for a 5?"
