Chapter 9: Changes
The vessel closed and it was dark except for a silver glow from Cinnabar and a gold glow from Phos. Padparadsha said, "So...how long does it take to get to the moon?"
Ghost yawned. "At least a day? I couldn't really tell. But I do know that the leader of the rebellion will be there. He really seemed excited to meet you, Cairngorm." Clank. Then there was silence. Phos moved closer to Cinnabar, as she listened to what Cairngorm was saying. "Some gem i've never met wants to meet me? You're joking, right?"
"Technically...he's a Lunarian."
"WHAT."
Everyone was silent. A cough. Photos moved the alloy, spreading it over the top of the vessel, dim, gold light shining. Cairngorm just sat there, shocked. Phos started to talk when she heard collapsing. "I'm sorry, everyone." It was Rutile. "I've pulled 3 all nighters, and I need to sleep before we battle." Everyone murmured in agreement and there were multiple collapses.
"Huh. just us. Again." Phos murmured. Silence. Was Cinnabar asleep? "Phos?" it was Ghost.
"Do you remember when you got your head back?"
"Yeah...I'd rather not talk about it. It hurts. You should sleep."
"You...too Phos." Thump.
Phos closed her eyes.
Phos grabbed her sword and went onto the Vessel. Lapis' blue hair blew as she swung the sword. A crack appeared on the vessel. A sea green head sat in front of her as the vessel started to collapse. Cairngorm had arrived, yelling, "PHOS! LOOK OUT!" An arrow sliced off lapis' head. The vessel dissolved as Phos fell into the ocean.
She woke up on the moon. A gem with White clothes, gold arms and blue hair stood in front of Phos. He turned, revealing a glowing eye, and saying, "You're lucky. This world doesn't have that kind of luck. See you soon, Phosphophyllite."
It felt comfortable. CRASH!
