Chapter 11

The girls are finally in Belgium, looking for Alaric.

After a night in a dingy hotel, Lizzie is officially in a bad mood. Her mood isn't likely to improve, as the twins don't know much about Belgium, so they had to ask for help from someone Lizzie considers the devil to be; Penelope Park, aka Josie's demonic ex.

The witch dressed only in black and her famous smirk waited impatiently for the twins.

Pénélope: But if it's not my favorite binoculars that I see there!

Lizzie: Satan ...

Josie: Hi.

Pénélope: So what are you doing in Belgium? You didn't really explain to me over the phone.

Lizzie: It actually is. But I guess your memories are playing tricks on you, we're looking for an Alaric Saltzman.

Penelope narrows her eyes trying to figure out where she'd heard a name like that before, then it comes back to her.

Pénélope: The hunters !? The one who nearly killed the entire Mikaelson family !?

The girls grimaced at this new information, but the two nodded affirmatively.

Penelope: He spends most of his time in bars.

The raven haired girl, wave the Salvatores to follow them.

Pénélope: Why are you looking for him? Do you need to kill someone?

Lizzie: No, that's none of your business Satan.

Penelope sighed in annoyance, she had definitely not missed this girl.

After ten minutes where the raven haired girl tries to make the discussion which ends in clash with Lizzie. The three teenage girls arrive in front of a bar.

Lizzie: Is he here?

Pénélope: According to my information, this is her favorite bar.

Lizzie: Okay ... uh ... thank you. You can go Satan I don't want you in my paws.

Penelope: I'll stay here just in case ...

Josie: It might take a while.

Pénélope: But for you my Jojo I will wait until the end of the world.

The twins rolled their eyes, and entered the bar, which surprisingly was quite quiet. There weren't a lot of people.

Bartender: Hello ... Your identity card, please.

Josie: We're not here for a drink, or an orange juice-

Lizzie cut off her sister who was already starting to wander.

Lizzie: Alaric Saltzman, does that ring a bell?

The barman looks up to observe the two girls. Josie looks at his name Jeremy.

Jérémy: What exactly did you want from him?

Lizzie: Just chat.

Jérémy: It will surely arrive in some time. Please excuse me.

Jérémy the barman withdraws to go to the reserve.

The two girls sit on a chair.

Josie: He's calling Alaric.

Lizzie: What are you talking about?

Josie: The Bartender, Jeremy, he phones Alaric, I think he takes us for vampires or werewolves.

Lizzie: So he's gonna kill us? Great...

Josie: No! He didn't say that. He just told her that two potential vampires or wolves were waiting for him.

Lizzie: Okay ...

The bartender returns to the binoculars of an innocent area, Lizzie gives him a nasty look.

Jérémy: An orange juice?

Josie: Yes please.

Lizzie: No for me.

Jérémy: I serve you that.

Josie hands the change in advance on the counter, after a few seconds, the door of the bars opens and reveals a man of about forty years, he sits next to the binoculars.

Jérémy: Here, don't worry, it's offered by the house.

Josie: Thanks.

The two girls drink their cooked glasses dry, after the bartender has once again retired.

??? : It seems you've been looking for me.

The Salvatores turn their heads to the man next to her.

Josie: Alaric Saltzman?

Alaric: Right.

Josie turns to her sister who is calm and strangely pale.

Josie: Are you ok Liz?

Lizzie: My head is spinning.

Pouf.

Lizzie collapsed on the floor.

Almost all the customers of the bars are part of it running.

Josie: CALL AN AMBULANCES !!!

Jérémy: It won't be worth it.

Josie: What !? You mentally ill! She just passed out for no reason.

Jérémy: I slipped him a sleeping pill, vampire.

He pulls out a crossbow just like Alaric.

Josie: Uh ... I think there is a slight misunderstanding. I am not a vampire.

Jeremy throws him an arrow coated with Venus vein. Josie grabs it with her hand before it hits her head and cracks the arrow, throwing it to the ground.

Seeing that it didn't work, Jeremy grabs the handle and throws knives at Josie (of course she avoids them all) before pouncing on her for a hand-to-hand fight.

Alaric meanwhile ponders the situation, and decides to lift the blonde teenager, unsure of what to do with her he glances at the troubled stepson.

Josie grabs the bartender by the throat and tackles him to the wall.

Alaric: Stop or else I'll cut his throat!

Alaric didn't want to hurt the "human coveted by a vampire", but Jeremy is in trouble and visibly "vampire" seems formidable.

Josie: I don't recommend doing that. Release Elisabeth.

This girl has the same first name as her daughter, thought Alaric.

Alaric: Release Jérémy first.

Josie let go of him and pulled back slightly, she turned her attention back to her sister.

Josie: Relax there.

At the same time Jeremy tried to knock her out with a fire extinguisher from his bar, which in the end broke the extinguisher.

Annoyed by denying herself, Josie takes him by the school and throws him to the wall, which stuns him.

Alaric looked at her in astonishment.

Josie: Don't look at me like that, it's you who attacked me for no reason.

Alaric: You are a vampire.

Josie: For the umpteenth time! I . Born . Am . Not . A . Vampire! Capiche?

Alaric nodded.

Josie: It's okay, did you calm down? Can we talk?

Alaric nodded.

Josie: Good. So what did you do to my sister?

Alaric: We just put him to sleep for a few hours.

Josie: Well, get me a drink, we'll wait until she wakes up to do the introductions.

Alaric obeyed, he saw clearly with what she facilitated she threw Jeremy to the wall, it is better not to make her angry.

Let's put it simply, Penelope is a curious person, so when she saw Alaric Saltzman, she had to see what was going on.

She did not expect that.

How could his ex-girlfriend approach the man on the wall like that?

She knew Josie was strong, she had seen the game where she had messed up the other player badly.

But at this point? No Penelope did not suspect it.

Lizzie wakes up with a huge headache.

She remembers everything that happened and growls in annoyance.

Alaric: Your friend is awake.

Here's a little fact: She already hates her biological father.

Lizzie gets up and settles down on a chair at the counter, she observes the horizons a little, and sees the barman stunned with a mark on the wall.

Lizzie: You told her.

Josie: No it's not my p-

Josie stops before going wrong.

Lizzie: Ok, well let's keep it simple, basic. You are my father.

Alaric: What?

Lizzie: You, be, my daddy, organic. Do you understand me?

Alaric: Are you Elisabeth?

Lizzie: It depends do you have other children?

Alaric: No.

Lizzie: So I'm Elisabeth, but call me Lizzie.

Alaric: And I guess you are Josette?

Josie: Right! How do you know me?

Alaric: I found you when you were kids, I don't know if your adoptive parents told you about it.

Josie: They didn't tell me, but I'd like to know.

Alaric takes a piece of paper and writes on it before handing it to Josie.

Alaric: Yours go to this address and you'll understand.

Lizzie: Nope, you'll come with us to this address, we don't want any bad surprises.

Alaric: Do I have a choice.

Josie and Lizzie: No.
