Ghostly Mad Libs

It was a DARK AND STORMY Halloween night. The full moon illuminated the night sky and children were HURRYING door to door asking for TRICK OR TREATS. My own bag was filled to the brim with MY SUGARY HAUL. My friends and I had gone to almost all the houses in the neighborhood...all except one. The haunted house all the way at the end of the street. No one ever dared to ever go to that house, not until now. There were stories that a BLOOD-THIRSTY WITCH lived inside the house, and they waited for people to come knocking on their door so they could CAPTURE them. I wanted to prove to everyone that all those stories were rumors.

As I stood on the porch of the creepy, haunted house GOOSEBUMPS traveled down my spine. Before I changed my mind, I quickly rang the doorbell. When the door finally opened a FANGED, GREEN-SKINNED WITCH stared down at me. Their grin widened as their hand reached for me and I BEGGED, "TAKE ALL MY CANDY, JUST LET ME GO!"

(The ending I added)

"Relax, Ethel," said Mrs. MacAdoo, my second-grade teacher, "We give out full-size candy bars," as she dropped some in my bag.
