Chapter One - A Battle Of Good & Evil

The year is 1893. The dawn of a new age is upon Europe. But in the age of industrialization, the age of superstition is approaching it's end. In the midst of the changing times, Abraham Van Helsing continues his lifelong mission to rid Europe of Vampires and all manner of monsters that roam the night. For decades, there was one monster who eluded Van Helsing's hunt: the Lord of Darkness, the No Life King and Master of the Vampires known only as Count Dracula. For decades, Van Helsing has hunted Dracula across all of Europe in an attempt to destroy him. But throughout his hunt, Van Helsing seemingly destroyed the Count only for him to return to the land of the living. Now approaching the twilight of his life, Van Helsing dedicates his remaining years to hunting down and destroying Dracula so that the new century need not fear Dracula's dark shadow. On one faithful night, Van Helsing has tracked down Count Dracula to his castle deep in Transylvania. As Van Helsing approaches the castle, he pulls out his crucifix and utters a prayer.

Van Helsing: Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Upon finishing his prayer, Van Helsing enters the castle. As Van Helsing navigates through the castle, he thought of the countless battles he has fought against Dracula. He thinks of the lives that Dracula has taken and the suffering he has inflicted upon countless souls. Van Helsing made a promise that no matter what happens, he would see to it that Dracula would not survive the night. Soon enough, Van Helsing approaches the throne room where Dracula sits upon his throne, drinking a cup of blood.

Dracula: Van Helsing.

Van Helsing: Count Dracula.

Dracula: For too long, you have been a thorn in my side. For decades, you have proven yourself to be my arch enemy. Now here you are in your twilight years, standing before me. Do you still have the strength to destroy me?

Van Helsing: I know not what strength I have left in me. But I promise you this, Count Dracula. In the name of God and all that is Holy, I shall destroy you and see to it that you no longer terrorize the world!

Dracula: Perhaps the same could be said of all religions.

Van Helsing: Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you!

Dracula: But what is a man? A miserable pile of secrets.

Dracula then throws his cut onto the floor and stands up from his throne. Van Helsing stands tall as Dracula points at him.

Dracula: But enough talk, Van Helsing. Have at you!

Dracula gnashes his fangs as he attacks Van Helsing. Van Helsing reaches for his crucifix and points it at Dracula, forcing the Vampire to back away for a moment. Dracula then proceeds to knock the crucifix away. Dracula then lunges at Van Helsing and knocks him to the ground. As Van Helsing attempts to grab his crucifix, Dracula grabs Van Helsing and wraps his hands around his throat.

Dracula: Your strength has left you, Van Helsing! Time has weakened you! Years ago, you were the only mortal on this cursed world that was my equal! Now you are an weak old man!

Van Helsing: At least I still have my humanity!

Van Helsing then grabs a vial of Holy Water and splashes it on Dracula's face, burning the Vampire. Dracula growls in pain as he lets go of Van Helsing. Seizing the opportunity, Van Helsing grabs his crucifix and charges at Van Helsing. Van Helsing presses his crucifix at Dracula's face, continuously burning the Count.

Van Helsing: I am going to end this, once and for all!

Van Helsing readies a stake and plunges it at Dracula's heart. Dracula roars in pain as he thrashes around like a cornered animal. Though he manages to knock Van Helsing off, Dracula frantically attempts to pull the stake out of his heart. Van Helsing quickly gets up and aims his crucifix at the weakened Vampire. But as Van Helsing prepares to destroy Dracula, a strange blue liquid begins seeping from Dracula's throne. Dracula crawls away with Van Helsing follows him.

Van Helsing: This is your final hour, Count. This will not be a nightmare you will be waking up from! You have been judged and found wanting, Vampire King! You have nothing! You are nothing! Nothing!

As Van Helsing was about to deal the final blow, the blue liquid begins to glow. Before Van Helsing and Dracula could react, they were both hit by a blinding light. When the light faded, the castle was empty. When Dracula opens his eyes, he finds himself in a snow covered region. As Dracula attempts to remove the stake from his chest, Dracula drops into a dark ice cave. As a result, Dracula slowly dies from his wound as his body is frozen in ice. As for Van Helsing, he finds himself in a strange land. Van Helsing looks around to himself in a strange cave. Still weary from his battle against Dracula, Van Helsing gets and and tries to find a way out. But as he takes a few steps, he hears the sound of melodic singing. With each step he took, Van Helsing's eyes grew heavier. Before Van Helsing could do anything about it, he falls into a deep sleep inside the cave. Outside the cave, the siren continues to sing her song before being slain by a Basilisk which drained the siren's magic. As the Basilisk walks away, Van Helsing was left alone in the cave under a deep sleep. In that moment, both Van Helsing and Dracula found themselves in a new world of strange magic.
