♥When You Crush On Them♥
Hey you! Look at this! It's a new part! Enjoy~ -Cam😘xx
Michael Myers:
"You're not stopping me Michael, I told them I would go. Besides, I'll be back in a little bit - it's just for the afternoon." You refrained from rolling your eyes, seeing a certain stalker block your way to the door. You were meant to be meeting your friends at the park, but apparently Michael didn't like that idea too much.
"Please don't do this." You complained as you held your bag strap, checking the time on your wristwatch. Crap, you were going to be late.
Michael shook his head, adamant about you staying. He wanted to watch over you - and if anything happened whilst you were out, he couldn't protect you. Plus he didn't want anyone else to get your attention; especially not some stupid girls. You sighed and closed your eyes, reopening them a second later as you moved over to Michael. With a new plan in mind, you wrapped your arms around his waist and pulled him into a hug, resting your head against his chest and trying to sweet-talk your way past the insecure male in front of you.
"Please let me go out Michael. I promise I'll stay out of trouble, and we can watch a movie together when I get back. Okay?" You spoke softly, trying to act extra sweet. He hesitated; unsure of whether he should take the deal or decline it. This was your chance!
"Pretty please? With a cherry on top? I'll even let you pick the movie~" You cooed cutely. This time Michael nodded and moved aside, entranced by your adorable form and alluring voice.
"Thanks! Speak to you in a bit Michael!" You beamed and gave him a merry wave before skipping out, making the stalker bewildered as to who actually won just then.
You quickened your pace; racing towards the park and giggling. It wasn't a mean-spirited trick to pull on Michael, it just took his overprotective pandering down a peg or two. After taking a moment to regain your breath, you entered the park and spotted your friends by the swings, the three of them talking amongst themselves. There was Dana, Alice and Gracie - all of them being in the drama club. You loved theatrical arts, so naturally you were a member too. Rachel was one of the main stars of the drama club, but you and the others hadn't seen her in weeks.
"Hey Dana, Ali, Cici." You greeted lightly, walking over to the small group.
"Hi!"
"Hey (Y/n)!"
"Hello!"
"Any word about Rachel yet?" You asked hopefully, sending them a soft smile.
Dana shook her light-brown hair, her golden earrings jingling in the breeze as she looked regretful. "Sorry (Y/n), but no. She still hasn't replied to my text from last week."
"She always talked about visiting Arcadia Bay, to see an old friend...maybe she took off to see her?" Alice shyly chimed in, playing with a lock of her short, pink hair.
"I mean...maybe." You felt a bit disappointed, your hopes getting drastically dashed.
"Surely she wouldn't leave without saying anything." Dana replied to Alice's comment quietly.
"Face it guys, she up and bailed on us! Just as we were preparing to put on a show too. Talk about rude." Gracie puffed out her cheeks and tossed her head to the side, feeling bitter.
"Let's try and stay positive, we don't know anything yet." Dana sensibly suggested - being the cool-headed one in your group.
"Hmph!" Gracie flicked her blonde hair back, crossing her arms defiantly as she didn't like to be wrong.
"Yeah, we came to the park to hang out and have fun - let's not spoil it by being all gloom and doom." Alice sweetly declared.
"You're right. Rachel can take care of herself anyway, no point in worrying over nothing." You agreed warmly, feeling a bit happier.
"Hey (Y/n), bet I can swing higher than you!" Gracie suddenly cut in, giving a mischievous grin.
"Pffft, in your dreams. Care to prove it?" You dropped your bag by the pole of the large swing set and sat on one of the swings, growing competitive.
"Ali, Dana, I want you to watch so (Y/n) doesn't cheat." Gracie passed her bag to a timid Alice and sat on the swing next to yours, holding onto the chains with an iron grasp.
"Bring it on, rich girl." You taunted, gripping the chains tightly too.
"On your marks!" Dana called in amusement, nudging Alice to join in.
"G-Get set!" Ali nervously announced.
"Go!" They both chorused, giggling after.
You kicked your heels off the ground and began to build up momentum, swinging back and forth swiftly. Cici's start wasn't as fast as yours, but she was swinging back and forth quickly too. The two of you swung higher and higher, until you began to go curl up a little bit. If you went any higher, you'd fly backwards and sustain a painful injury...but you wanted to beat your friend at any cost. You were just stubborn like that. Gracie was a bit breathless, but still managed to gloat and keep swinging.
"Getting tired there (Y/n)?" She impishly remarked, her golden strands flying behind her as she flew forwards.
"I could ask the same thing!" You deviously retorted, making sure you were higher than Gracie.
You were about to go even further up when you spotted a familiar flash of white by the trees - Michael incredibly worried for your safety. He was stood like a statue; stiffer than usual as he kept watch. You didn't expect to see him here, so of course you lost focus. It all happened so fast - your hands slipping on the chains whilst you fell forwards in the air. All your friends shouted your name in concern, time slowing down in the air. Were you about to get injured? Dammit, this was all because you got distracted. Then time suddenly sped up, you falling on your two friends as you toppled them over.
"Ugh..." Dana groaned in pain, lying on the ground with her stomach against the concrete.
"You okay (Y/n)?" Ali asked from beneath you, lying the same way as Dana.
"Yeah...I think so." You sheepishly smiled and climbed off of the two girls.
"Hahaha! You should've seen that from my perspective - you guys fell down like dominoes!" Cici laughed carelessly, slowing down her swing and eventually hopping off.
"Shut up, Gracie." Dana dusted herself off and got up, stretching to make sure nothing was sore.
"Guess this means I won, right you guys?" Gracie crowed triumphantly - taking her bag off the ground before helping Alice up.
"Actually...(Y/n) was higher than you before she fell, so..." Alice murmured gently, cutting the blonde girl's victory short.
"W-What?! No way! Dana, come on - I wiped the floor with her, right?" Cici turned to your brown-haired friend in surprise, her smugness fading.
"Alice is right." Dana finally responded.
"Woohoo! No pain no gain!" You smirked at the flabbergasted Cici, proud of your win.
"You've gotta be kidding me!" She wailed, definitely salty from her loss.
"Winner gets to stay whilst the others go and gets drinks from the corner shop!" You decided with an evil grin.
"But we weren't even in this competition!" Dana protested, but Alice simply laughed.
"C'mon, it'll be fun to walk in the sunshine. Look after our stuff, 'kay (Y/n)?" She smiled in an adorable manner, causing Gracie to pout.
"Anything happens to my bag and you'll pay for a new one!" Cici threatened you as she pulled her purse out of her bag and then threw it at you, making you smirk once more.
"Yeah, yeah." You stuck your tongue out at her slyly.
"We'll be right back!" Dana and the girls waved at you whilst they walked off, disappearing around the corner a minute later.
Thank goodness you'd sent them off, because you knew Michael would be worried about your fall. All you had to do was quickly console him. You gestured for him to come closer and he stormed over, shaking your shoulders a little before burying his head into the crook of your neck. Jeez, he must've been terribly stressed-out over your swing mishap. You hugged him back, rubbing your hand around his back in comforting circles and resting your head against his neck. Even if this was a worried-sick hug, it still felt nice to receive from the stalker.
"Hey, I'm fine. Luckily, I accidentally landed on my friends, so I didn't graze anything." You chuckled a bit at your sentence, patting his back soothingly. Michael didn't move, his stance defensive and stiff. You let out a sigh, feeling bad that you got him so worked up.
"Really, I'm not hurt. I'm sorry if I worried you Michael." You spoke in a sincere and sorry tone, genuinely guilty about worrying him.
The stalker pulled back and stared at you, his hands moving to cup your cheeks. The intimate action caused you to flush bright pink - the tenderness of his hold actually relaxing you in a romantic manner. One of his hands moved up to stroke your hair, his fingers running through the strands as he leant his head against yours in relief. At least you were somewhat calming him down. Your heart thumped louder than before, your eyes getting lost in his beautiful brown orbs whilst you zoned out. He really was your type, with his toned body and silent stance.
You were so distracted by Michael that you didn't realise your friends were returning; the killer taking ahold of your hands and giving them an affectionate squeeze before leaving. He stealthily moved in the other direction, slipping between the slight foliage and out of view. For some reason you yearned for him to stay, that dreamy moment messing with your mind. It was no lie that you'd started to crush on the stalker, whether you wanted to or not. However, a startled yelp came from you as a drink hit the side of your head, Cici smirking as you realised she was the culprit.
"That. Hurt." You glared at her in irritation, seeing Dana and Alice walk up a few moments later.
"Sorry. You were so distracted by that man that I didn't know what else to do." She innocently replied, making you blush again.
"W-What-? No-I just-You don't know what you're talking about, Cici." You picked the drink off the floor and ignored her evil gaze, cracking the lid open and taking a sip of your soda.
"Yeah, who was that?" Dana was also interested in learning who you were just with, taking a swig of water after she asked her question.
"It's not important." You deflected their interest and took a book out of your bag, deciding to read instead of telling them.
"(Y/n) has a crush." Ali deduced in bashful excitement, holding her iced tea between her hands.
"What?! No way! A crush? Really? Oh wow! I wish a boy from our school would fall in love with me!" Gracie gushed as she pulled your book away, holding it to her chest whilst she fantasised.
"Uh, Gracie? Tons of boys from our school have asked you out." Dana dryly stated.
"Yeah but I'm not interested in them. I want a boy who's as rich as me, and is interested in the same intellectual activities! Not to mention he needs to have hella good looks~" Cici fawned over her dream-boy and you snatched your book back, used to her drooling over boys.
"Oh please, you wouldn't know intellectual activities if they hit you in the face. Do you even know what intellectual means?" Dana flicked Gracie's forehead and then leaned against the grass, lying down in the sun.
"I do too! Daddy told me!" Cici's cheeks went red and it didn't take much to deduce that she had no idea what it meant.
"She hasn't a clue." Alice giggled a little.
"Anyway, who's your crush (Y/n)? Is he someone from school?" Dana wondered, shining the subject spotlight back on you.
"W-Well no, he's a bit older than me." You stammered in embarrassment, feeling shy.
"Oooh, you're into older guys!" Gracie jumped back into the conversation; interested again.
"It's just coincidence that he's older than me!" You threw her bag into her face, pleased when a muffled cry came from behind it.
"What's he like? Does he like you back?" Alice questioned softheartedly.
"Well I...I don't know." You hugged the book tighter when you thought back to the moment you and Michael had, a secretive smile spread across your facial features.
"You should tell him!" Gracie grew overexcited for you, clapping her hands together.
"Y'know usually I don't agree with Gracie's advice, seeing as it's mostly terrible and unneeded-"
"Hey! Shut your mouth Dana!"
"-but I have to say, she's got a point. You've got nothing to lose, you should tell the guy." Dana gave her honest opinion and Alice nodded in agreement.
"I...guess..." You mumbled; feeling unconfident.
"There's no time to be shy! Go tell him! Go now!" Gracie grabbed your wrist and forced you to your feet, being dramatic.
"But-"
"But nothing!" She passionately argued.
"Time waits for no man." Dana recited, agreeing with Gracie for once.
"See you later (Y/n)." Alice piped up kindly, smiling.
"S-See you guys later! And...thanks!" You grabbed your bag and pushed your book back into it, feeling a surge of confidence.
They all called goodbye as you hurried away, intent on going home and returning to the one you cared most for. The one who always was by your side, looking out for you and protecting you from danger. The one who spent time with you. The one who knew more about you than almost anyone. You stopped on the sidewalk, seeing your stalker standing a few feet away from you. Had Michael been waiting for you? H-Had he been listening-?!
"I...I um...H-Hi." You rubbed your arm awkwardly, not knowing what to say. It was all well and good saying you'll confess, but that was in the heat of the moment. Now you had no clue how to go about it!
Michael tilted his head at you, confused by your sudden shyness and wanting to figure out what you were trying to say. "So...there's something I need to say...to um...to you."
You wanted to confess to your concerned crush, but you couldn't find the the words. They got stuck in your throat, the silent judging and humiliation you suddenly felt causing you to back down. Michael liked to protect you and stay by your side, but how did you know for sure that he felt the same? You couldn't risk it...You couldn't risk rejection. You quivered slightly, your hand on your bag strap tightening until your nails dug into your palm.
"N-Never mind-!" You shook your head and went to sprint past him, hurt tears sparkling on the edge of your lashes whilst you chickened out.
Yet you didn't run away; a hand curling round your wrist and preventing you from leaving. W-What the-? It was Michael. He delicately pulled you back, time slowing down like earlier as he pulled his mask above his mouth and cradled your cheek with his hand; going in for an endearing kiss. Your eyes were the size of saucers, the tears on your lashes drying as you realised what was happening. He wasn't just comforting you, he was confessing his feelings too. Relief filled your heart whilst you kissed back, resting your free hand against his chest and closing your eyes.
Jason Voorhees:
"And did you see how I pulled that salmon out? It was way easier than last time! I think I could become like, a professional fisher or something!" You exclaimed in excitement, tagging alongside Jason whilst you two walked back to your cabin.
The masked male chuckled at your excitement and ruffled your hair, holding your hand afterwards as a sign of affection. Both of you arrived home at the cabin a few minutes later, you stifling a yawn whilst you checked the time. Only 6pm...wonder why you were so tired. Perhaps it was because you'd spent the day fishing and swimming the lake. You sat on the sofa and cuddled into the cushions, watching Jason strike a match and throw it towards the fireplace's logs. Flames rose up against the bricks and filled the room with warmth, the mood suddenly changing.
"Hey Jason?" You cuddled a cushion whilst you carefully called the killer's name, worried that you might be annoying him. The masked male looked towards you, standing up as he tilted his head adorably. He was just like a cute little child~
"Um...well...I just wanted to thank you... y'know, for teaching me how to fish...and keeping me alive." You timidly told him, hiding your face in the comfy cushion.
Jason wandered over to you and lazily threw his machete onto the coffee table, patting your head endearingly. "Y...You're...wel...come."
"I think I might take a nap before food, is that okay with you?" You stifled a yawn as you leaned back, still snuggling the cushion.
He gave a nod and your eyes fluttered shut, tired-out from your enjoyable day with Jason. Yes, at times he could be incredibly intimidating - he was a killer after all - but most of the time he was a softhearted sweetheart. The killer got curious over the simplest of things, like how to bake treats or how to play cards. Teaching him how to play was one of the funniest moments you've ever experienced; especially when he tried to play crafty and just took all the cards so he could win. It ended up with you laughing and giving up the lesson that day. His mentality was a little too excited and childlike for the moment.
You slept for a good couple of hours, warm and happy all things considered. Usually you had to worry about school and blending in with the crowd, but at Camp Crystal Lake you fit right in. You didn't really miss socialising - you had tons of fun just hanging out with Jason and being entertained by the prettiness of nature. It was hugely beautiful here, the lovely lake and the wonderful woods appealing to your lighthearted interests. The cute woodland creatures weren't to be overlooked either - you loved seeing foxes slink and rabbits hop around happily.
You woke up slowly; still feeling sleepy whilst you felt something on you. You fell asleep holding the cushion, didn't you? What else could be-...Jason. The male was sleeping with you, his arms curled around your waist as he nuzzled into your cleavage - content with where he was. Your face glowed red, suddenly feeling shy and embarrassed. Yet he was oh so cute, his body heat keeping you more warm than the fire was. His mask was still on, but it's not like you minded. Heck, even his bald head didn't bother you. You stroked his side softly, flattered that he wanted to be so close to you constantly. No one had wanted to before.
Jason's eyes shot open, startling you and causing you to pull your hand back automatically. W-What if he didn't like being touched? You should've asked to caress him like that, maybe he thought it was creepy- The killer held your wrist and stopped you from pulling away, his gaze full of adoration whilst he pressed your hand against his cheek. He nuzzled into your palm as a way to show how much he was pleased to be by your side. You flushed bright pink at his sweet actions - your heart fluttering ever so often. Was he being this cute on purpose?
"I-I didn't realise you were sleeping with me. D-Did you have a good sleep J-Jason?" You stuttered a little, embarrassed, and he nodded.
"T-That's good. I should probably get dinner started, so if you'll excuse me-!" You didn't know why you were so flustered, but you definitely couldn't stay in this position with him right now. It was immensely romantic-
You gently pushed Jason back and climbed to your feet, stretching to make sure you felt more awake. Arms snaked around your hips and hugged you tightly, the added weight of Jason causing you to topple over with a surprised squeak. W-What was he doing? After rolling onto your back, you looked into the playful eyes of the male - the mischievous killer obviously doing this on purpose. He was proud of his behaviour too, an exaggerated whine coming from behind his mask as he didn't want to let you go.
"I-I have to cook dinner, w-what are you doing-?" You were a blushing mess; your heart pounding furiously out of control as you felt faint. Him holding you down like this...you almost didn't mind. You really really liked Jason.
"L...Love...h...hug...ging...you." He rumbled in his smooth tone, his hazel eyes shining with idolisation.
"I-I love hugging you too. B-But really, we'll hug later m'kay?" You gave him a quick hug and then wriggled out of his grasp, blushing and quivering slightly.
Jason eyed you with worry when he realised you were unconsciously backing away towards the door, snatching his machete as a defence mechanism. "W...Why...clo...se...to... door? Do...n't...lea...ve." He growled out.
"I'm not leaving, I just...I just have to go out and grab something real quick. I promise I'll be back!" You grasped the door handle behind your back and ran out, your face a bright burgundy colour.
You flung the door shut behind you and hurried into the woods, hidden by the foliage so Jason couldn't track you immediately. Oh why did you have to race out like a coward? You got so shy and nervous about your feelings that you needed time to calm down. Jason was special to you, but it's not like you could just up and confess to him! He had such an innocent mentality, would he even understand the idea of a relationship? You weren't calling him stupid or insulting his intelligence or anything though! You just weren't sure if he was even interested in you like that.
Something soft hit your head, making you look up and see the dark clouds floating across the shadowy sky. Oh no...was it really about to rain? A few more drops confirmed to you that it was about to lash down, forcing you to try and find cover. The trees gave you a bit of defence whilst the rain hammered against the ground, your clothes getting damp. No...This was terrible! Jason would be worried sick due to the bad weather and you wouldn't get the time alone you needed. Ugh, why wouldn't anything go your way right now?
You spotted the archery range a few yards away - deciding that the roof it would be good cover to wait out the heavy rain. With a sigh of despair, you hurried towards the range; sitting on the wooden floor and hugging your knees. Tears leaked from your lashes and dripped onto your cheeks, a lonely and depressed feeling filling your heart. Jason wouldn't understand how much you cared for him. You adored his cute antics and his clever ways to outsmart people and prey alike. His hugs and the way he ruffled your hair always cheered you up, whether you were sad or not.
You rested your head against your knees and let out a choked sob, almost heartbroken as you tried to keep it together. It wouldn't work, it just wouldn't. No matter how much you cherished Jason, there's no way a killer would fall for you. He only wanted you for friendship and company, he couldn't possibly be in love. Your heart was aching whilst you shook from the cold, your faint cries showing how much pain you felt. A creak came from the wooden planks on the other side of the range, your head snapping up to find the source of sound. J-Jason-?! Oh no! Had he heard your cries?
"Jason?" You couldn't contain your sadness; tears streaming down your face as you stared at him. He dropped his machete, striding over to you whilst worry washed over his face. The male was probably concerned about your damp clothes and miserable expression, but for once you couldn't reassure him that you were okay. Because...Because you weren't okay.
"W...Wor...ried...sick." The killer admitted unhappily, dropping to his knees and flinging his arms around your frail form.
"I-I'm sorry...I just...I just..." You whispered brokenly, shivering intently by this point.
"W...Why? Why...are...y...you...sad?" He seemed genuinely hurt - thinking it was him.
"I'm not sad. Don't worry about me, r-really." You tried to spare his feelings by lying, wiping your eyes with your sleeve and forcing out a pained smile.
"L...Liar!" He huffed. Your cheeks turned red, shame flickering across your face as you felt guilty. Why couldn't you even tell him the truth?
"I just...really care about you Jason. I like you...a lot." You spoke in a tiny voice, huddled into the warmth of his chest.
Like him? That didn't even begin to describe the feelings you felt. The fondness you had towards Jason and his personality, the attraction you felt towards him...no, you didn't just like him. You loved him. You couldn't even deny it, because why else would you get shy and run off? He was dear to you - he was your only friend. The other counsellors were just people from school, fake friends you pretended to like to feel less lonely. But the truth was Jason was the first real friend that you'd made. That had developed into a deep crush for the guy, causing you to feel all sorts of new emotions.
"I li...ke...y...ou...too. C...Cutie." Jason purred dotingly, misunderstanding as he patted your head. See? To him it was just a friend thing. He probably didn't think anything of it. You were just being silly.
You gripped his shirt with both hands, cuddling into him with loving intentions. It didn't matter if you felt like this, right? It's not like he'd understand your feelings. You could just love him in a...a platonic way. Surely this crush and confusing feelings would die off sooner or later. You closed your eyes and nestled against his chest, feeling less heartbroken. Then you heard something fall to the ground, so you reopened your eyes and spotted a mask, disbelief being your main reaction. It was...It was Jason's mask.
You glanced up and saw his entire face, the disfigurements being nothing more than background noise to you. His expression was full of love, his hands cupping your cheeks whilst he moved his head towards you. What happened next stunned you - your eyes widening to the size of saucers. J-Jason was...he was kissing you! Did this mean... Your eyes filled with happy tears this time, your lips pushing back ever so lightly as you kissed back; your heart feeling not so heavy and down in the dumps. Kissing in the rain...the romance was off the charts right now. But you didn't care, in fact you enjoyed it.
At this point you couldn't tell if Jason was just doing this to cheer you up or actually felt the same way, but it didn't matter. He was just the biggest sweetheart you'd ever met. You wrapped your arms around his neck and snuggled into him, feeling wanted and loved. It was like...like being in the sun - the warmth and happiness intensifying by every passing second. You felt so light...so free of worries. And it was all because of Jason. Because of this perfect killer right next to you. A shy sound of surprise left your lips as he picked you up bridal-style, his strong arms cradling your body and making you feel safe like usual.
"Y...You...'ll...cat...ch...a...col...d." He fretted in his deep voice, jogging slightly to get you back to the cabin faster.
"I-I guess you're right." You bashfully agreed, liking the feel of being in his arms. His hold on you was calming...comforting even.
"Thank you Jason." You murmured gratefully, shutting your eyes again and leaning your head against his shoulder. Yes...You were crushing on him, but you couldn't think of anyone you loved more than Jason Voorhees.
Freddy Krueger:
"(Y/n)! Breakfast is ready, come downstairs!" Brittany's voice called from the kitchen, pulling you out of your embarrassed state.
You'd been awake for about an hour now, but you couldn't get your dream out of your head. Stupid dream demon, messing with your emotions like that. Why would he kiss you? That was just dumb! As if someone like him would ever fall in love with you. Your cheeks burnt whenever you thought back to that kiss in the booth, your heart racing. You had joked about him liking you that way, but the truth of the matter was that you enjoyed his company. Even if he was a sadistic jerk. No boys had ever noticed you, and a demonic psychopath still counted as a boy. You just had trouble showing your true feelings, especially to the ones you care about.
"(Y/N)! You coming or what!?" Brittany shouted again, slight annoyance slipping into her voice.
"I'm coming!" You yelled back, climbing out of bed and stifling a yawn.
It was Saturday, which meant Brittany had time off, and you and Sara didn't have school. Your older sister always dedicated her Saturdays to spending time with you two, due to her not being able to see you much during the week. You stumbled down the stairs and sat at the table; seeing Sara half-asleep with her head on the table and Brittany pushing some food onto the plates. You mumbled a good morning to the two of them, still feeling a little tired yourself. Sara barely responded, making you smile and ruffle her hair affectionately. She always managed to be so cute.
"How did you sleep, (Y/n)?" Brittany passed you a plate, slid one to Sara and then sat down herself - attempting to start a conversation.
"I-I slept fine! H-How about you guys?" You did your best to push the conversation away from you, still embarrassed about last night.
"I slept good." Brittany nodded lightly.
"I saw a weird man in my dreams." Sara innocently remarked, shovelling food into her mouth as she suddenly grew hungry.
Brittany almost choked on her food, shooting you a glare. "I thought you made a deal with that guy to leave us alone. I don't want Sara getting hurt-"
"I did! He was with me the whole time I slept. I'm sure he was just messing around." You bit your lip and prayed to the gods that Freddy hadn't done anything to Sara. Brittany would never forgive you, and you would never forgive him.
"Sara, did he hurt you sweetie?" Brittany asked your younger sister worriedly, putting her fork down as she waited for a reply.
"Nope! He just watched me whilst I had a tea party with Sakutaro." Sara happily smiled.
"Tell him to stay away from her dreams. She's too young to know about death just yet." Brittany warned you sternly, picking up her fork again.
"I know, I know. I'm sorry, I didn't know he was entering them." You quickly apologised and continued eating, breathing a silent sigh of relief.
The kitchen was mostly silent, with the except of the ticking clock in the background and the slight scratch of cutlery scraping against the plates. Your thoughts drifted back to your dream again - like you couldn't stay away from thinking about them...about him. The way he played with you, the way he addressed you, and the way he acted - it was all very seductive. His wicked green eyes and smug smirk were attractive to you; especially when he spoke to you in such a sexual manner. You blushed at all his pet names for you, and everything you two did together. He could create anything in his dream world - but why twist it into your desires? It still didn't make sense to you.
"Your cheeks look like they've caught fire! Are you crushing on someone by any chance?" Brittany pointed out your blushing and grinned, causing you to flush bright pink.
"N-No! Don't be ridiculous! No one at school likes me that way, dumbo." You huffed and finished your plate, tossing your head to the side in a tough fashion.
"Sis likes a boy, Sis likes a boy~!" Sara sang childishly, playing along with Brittany.
"S-Shut up Sara!" You stood up - extremely flustered - and shoved your dirty plate and cutlery into the sink, feeling hounded.
"Meanie!" Sara pouted.
"Oh she absolutely likes a boy. See that blush Sara? That's what happens when a girl falls head over heels for someone. And when a girl and a boy love each other very much, they-"
"Don't tell her that! Stop corrupting Sara!" You yelped and covered Brittany's mouth.
"I'm only giving her The Bees and The Birds Talk." Brittany pulled your hand away and snickered, sticking her tongue out.
"It's way too early to give her that talk! And you should know that!" You exclaimed wildly.
"Oh I do, I just wanted to get your reaction. Now I know for a fact that it's a boy." Her grin widened and you cursed silently for falling into her trap.
"You're delusional! Ugh, I'm going to do some homework." You snapped as you stormed out of the kitchen.
"Maybe your boyfriend can help you!" Brittany laughed from behind you, giggling with Sara.
"Gaaah shut up!" You exploded fiercely, stomping upstairs. Sometimes your sisters could be so stupid. And how would going out with a demon even work?
You sat at your desk and pulled one of your textbooks out, flicking to the page you were told to work on during the weekend. As much as you disliked school, you never minded doing homework - considering it was away from everyone else. Once you put on some peaceful music, doing the homework would be as simple as completing a chore. An hour passed swiftly by whilst you worked, answering English Literature questions and trying to give reasons. Saturday's really were relaxing, which was exactly what you needed after dealing with a dream demon, your sisters and school.
"You're afraid of me."
"That's what you wanted, isn't it?"
"Yes, but I didn't expect it so soon - you were a hard nut to crack."
"Crack? I haven't cracked. Try again tomorrow."
"Deal. See you tomorrow princess~"
"Now, now, you say that like it's a bad thing."
"Mmhm. I wonder why. It's not like you traumatise kids before killing them in the most brutal ways possible, right?"
"You've got a sharp tongue."
"And you've got large claws. Careful - you might scratch someone with those!"
"Give me a nightmare and I'll find Hypnocil, old man."
"How do you know about Hypnocil?"
"Internet."
"Excuse me?"
"Bitch, you don't even know where to find it."
"Won't be difficult to email that guy, sorry to hurt your feelings."
"Oh for fucks sake, I'm going."
"Good luck with your job~"
"Sweet dreams, princess."
"No...I'm not...I'm so sorry..."
"Don't cry kitten, you're safe now. I won't let anything touch you, I swear on it."
"I don't care about me, I care about your past. Now I know why you act the way you do...and I feel bad for you."
"Well I'm not losing any sleep over it, so it's not worth worrying about. Dummy."
"Y'know what they say, if the food don't kill ya, the service will!"
"Dammit, I was meant to be mad at you."
"You can't stay mad at me, you love me too much."
You twirled your pen around in your hand and daydreamed about the time you'd spent with the dream demon; forgetting about the work you were meant to be doing. You were distracted, smiling at the sharp and sassy conversations the two of you had had. And when he saved you from his mother's memories...he'd acted kind for once. That was majorly out of character for him. You definitely appreciated Freddy's company, despite the dickish attitude and psychotic behaviour. He always brightened up your lacklustre days with his mischievous traits and tricks.
"You seem to be very interested about the topic of love... Something the matter, Krueger?"
"You're so stupid. Get over me already, little girl."
"Me? Get over you? Sure."
Did he know you felt differently about him than anyone else? Is that why he said get over him? Or was he just being egotistical, like always? You sighed, putting the pen down and wondering what to think. But surely he had to like your company too, why else would he keep you alive? Probably for practise, that's what he said after all. You were just being sentimental - the sooner you got over this silly crush the better. Out of nowhere Sara skidded into your room, breathing heavily as she held onto the door handle. What on Earth was she doing?
"Sara? What...What's wrong?" You turned to face the younger girl and she straightened up, barely catching her breath.
"Y-Your boyfriend...H-He...He's at the door...for you." She panted.
"That's not funny Sara. Honestly, you and Brittany need to stop making stupid jokes." You scowled and crossed your arms, trying to look firm.
"It's not a joke! There was a knock at the door and when Brittany answered, the guy said he was your boyfriend. Honest." Sara puffed out her cheeks, hurt that you didn't believe her.
"I swear, if this is a joke I'm going to hide your comic books." You rolled your eyes and walked over to the door, brushing past your younger sister.
"Uwaaaah! Don't be so mean!" Sara wailed as she tagged along behind you.
"Brittany! Did you purposely send Sara upstairs to tease me more? Because if you did I'm going to be so pi-" You stopped speaking when you entered the kitchen; shocked by the familiar-looking person sat down with your older sister.
"Hey (Y/n)." The green-eyed male flashed you a Cheshire Cat-like grin, causing you to freeze in place.
H-How did Freddy worm his way into your house?! A-And why did he look human? His skin was smooth and intact - all evidence of being burnt gone. He wasn't wearing his fedora; instead he had dirty-blonde hair covering his head. He was still wearing the red-and-green striped sweater and brown pants, but his new appearance kept throwing you off. Not to mention how humane he looked. It was awfully distracting. Brit was looking at him strangely, almost like she recognised Freddy. You hoped she wouldn't, otherwise a fight would probably break out.
"So (Y/n), why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend?" Brittany snapped you out of your staring, her tone curious.
You didn't even know how to respond. "I-Well I-...It's not like that-" Freddy was massively enjoying your confusion and stuttering, a subtle smirk spread across his features whilst he angelically watched.
"And let's talk about the age difference. You're still in high school (Y/n), and this guy's way older than you. Now in my opinion that's okay, as long as you," Brittany stopped and threw a threatening glance in Freddy's direction, "-don't do anything sexual towards her. She's my sister and if you try anything you won't hear the end of it. Do you understand me buddy? Because I will chop your-"
"Woah, woah, woah! Brittany stop! We're not even dating!" You interceded, grasping her shoulders and shaking her slightly.
"Wait, you're not?" She frowned in confusion and you tried to make up a lie.
"He's...He's a...an internet friend! I'm sure it was just a joke at the door. As if I'd date anyone, Brit." You folded your arms and hmph-ed, flicking your head to the side.
"Oh...well, in that case..." Brittany seemed to have lost steam, faltering for a moment.
"Besides, there's something I need to discuss with you." You narrowed your eyes as you grabbed Freddy's wrist, yanking him up.
"Go right ahead. But maybe stop lying about our relationship, baby doll~" He purred flirtatiously. God, you wanted to slap him.
"So you ARE dating!" Brittany jumped up, Sara resorting to chanting that annoying "Sis likes a boy" bullshit.
"We need to talk. ALONE." You spoke through gritted teeth, pulling him towards the door with scarlet cheeks.
"I'd say meeting your family went pretty well, don't you think sugar?" Freddy drawled devilishly, amused by your annoyance whilst you dragged him into your bedroom.
"What the HELL are you playing at, Krueger? Acting like my boyfriend in front of my sisters...are you nuts?!" You shouted, boiling with rage. Pulling a stupid stunt like that, what was he trying to do?!
"I was bored. And seeing you get so riled was terribly entertaining - I might have to try this again sometime." He cooed cunningly, waiting for your reaction.
"You were bored?! You caused me humiliation at the hands of my sisters because...You. Were. BORED?!" You were itching to hit him, but you forced yourself to calm down - sitting on the bed and letting out a soft sigh.
"Awww don't be like that, princess." Freddy chuckled, sitting down next to you and switching to his regular form.
"I want to strangle you." You muttered sourly.
"I watched your thoughts today, naughty girl. Thinking about me when you have homework to do~" The demon gleefully grinned, obviously pleased that you were giving him attention.
"D-Don't make it sound so dirty-!" Your face went pink as you struggled to reply to that, your embarrassment showing again.
"But actually, I think about you too." He lazily spoke, causing your eyes to widen.
"You...do? I mean, so what? Why should I care? You were probably just thinking about killing me, or something equally as dumb." You tried to play it tough, but the killer was quick to catch onto your actual feelings - his sly smile deepening.
A stunned gasp slipped through your lips as he seized your wrists and pushed you backwards, pinning you to your own bed as his knees straddled your sides. "You should care bitch, because I know what you're feeling. I can see everything inside your pretty little head." Freddy smirked again, his eyes glittering like evil emeralds whilst he held you down.
"H-How can you-?"
"You've fallen for me, haven't you sweet cheeks?" It was almost like he was gloating - and your sinking heart knew he was going to reject you. You could just feel it.
"I...I have not. Stop lying." You feebly lied.
"Says the one lying. Just admit it." The killer taunted as his tone switched to one of impatience. You were about to keep arguing, but deep down you didn't have the determination. Besides, he could see your thoughts and get into your head - what good would it do?
"F-Fine. So what if I do? You said it yourself, dream demons don't love. I just need to get over it." You tiredly gave in, defeated.
The demon gave another lowly chuckle, leaning his face closer to yours. "Who said you need to get over it, sweet-face?"
Then he smashed his chapped lips against yours, his green eyes shimmering with lust whilst he stunned you into complete silence. D-Did this mean what you think it meant? Your face was a blushing mess by this point, your heart beating wildly out of control as you shyly kissed back. He...He felt the same...? No...this could be another one of his dirty little tricks. But you'd been through enough today, so just this once you didn't care if it was a joke. It didn't matter that he was a killer. It didn't matter that he toyed with you dozens upon dozens of times. It just didn't matter. Because you were hopelessly in love with the psychopathic male.
Pennywise:
You stifled a yawn as you sat up in bed, feeling sleepy on this fine Sunday morning. Sunday meant no school, and you'd already finished all of your homework to give in on Monday. Besides, after breakfast you wanted to see if Hannah or Hailey wanted to do anything today. You could go see a movie, play video-games, or even just hang out. It would be such a fun time! So you bounced out of bed, flung open the door and bounded downstairs, skidding to a stop in the middle of the kitchen.
"Good morning (Y/n). How did you sleep?" Your mother flashed you a warm smile as she cooked some eggs, Hannah and Hailey not being present at the moment.
"Good thanks! Aww, are Hannah and Hailey still asleep?" You pouted and sat at the table, a little put out.
"I think so. They could've gotten up before me though. Why don't you have some breakfast and then look for them?" Your mother kindly remarked as she passed you a plate.
"Mmm, okay!" You grinned. So you wolfed the fried eggs down and drank some juice, feeling more awake and full afterwards. Once you'd thanked your mother and washed your plate, you raced back upstairs - searching for your sisters.
"Hannah! Time to wake up, it's already ten! C'mon, let's do something together!" You knocked on her door and spoke in an enthusiastic tone, opening her door a minute later.
Hannah wasn't in her room; her duvet strewed across her bed and her messy floor not surprising you. But where was she? Nothing important had come up at school, and surely she would've told you if it was friends. Ah well, even if it was just Hailey you'd still have fun. You knocked on her door and then entered after not hearing anything. She was gone too! You stared in dismay at her bed, feeling a little upset. Where had they gone? And without telling you? This was rather unfair. How were you meant to find them now? Oh, your phone!
After making sure they weren't in the living room or outside in the garden, you went back into your room and took your phone off the bedside table, nervous about calling them. You didn't want to be needy but at the same time you really enjoyed hanging out with your older sisters. You won't always have time to play with them once you get more homework. You dialled Hannah's number first, holding it up against your ear whilst you sat on the your bed and waited for her to answer. Thankfully, she did.
"Hey (Y/n), what do you need? I'm kind of in the middle of something right now." Hannah's direct tone made you feel a bit shy, but you simply held the phone tighter and took a deep breath.
"Well I was just wondering where you and Hailey were, I couldn't find you in the house so..." You replied in a tiny voice.
"Oh, Hailey's with me. Say hi Hailey!" Hannah passed the phone over and you got a quick hello from your other sister.
"So what are you two doing? Are you at the park? Or out shopping? Or maybe you're at a café? Can I join?" You grew excited and started going through ideas, hoping you could tag along.
"Sorry (Y/n), but I'm on a date right now. Hailey is too. It's a double date, and right after we're done eating we're going roller skating." Hannah sounded genuinely regretful, feeling bad for you as she rejected your addition.
"Aww, you are? I didn't even know you two had boyfriends." You couldn't help but be disappointed after hearing that, your heart plummeting.
"You didn't? You mean we never brought it up? Huh...well, they're really nice guys. They're both on the school football team! Anywho, speak to you later!" Hannah explained quickly.
"Bye (Y/n), love youuuuu!" Hailey chimed in, laughter seeping out from the phone speaker.
"Love you t-" Before you could finish, the phone went dead, signalling that Hannah had hung up. Aww. You sighed and held your phone between your two hands, sitting cross-legged and staring down dejectedly.
"Lollipop? Why are you just sitting on the bed? You're okay right?" Pennywise materialised next to you with a worried look on his face.
The clown's eyes widened as he suddenly cupped your cheeks, his expression shocked. "You're crying...why are you crying? Are you in pain? Who did this? Who hurt you?!" He demanded frantically, his golden orbs darkening in anger.
"N-No one. I-I just..." You whispered quietly, blushing whilst you gripped the phone harder.
"Come on, tell old Pennywise all about it cupcake." Penny spoke in a soft voice as he pulled you onto his lap, wrapping his arms around your waist tenderly.
"Well I just miss Hailey and Hannah. I wanted to hang out with them today...but they had other plans." You forced a smile and wiped the tears from your eyes, trying not to get so worked up over it.
The only reason you were so attached to your sisters was because you didn't really have any friends. The old ones you had tried to pull a cruel prank on you, and the boy you'd met at the lockers just wasn't your type anyway. Hannah, Hailey and Penny were all you had. No boys have ever really been into you. They talk to you about maybe going out, but then mysteriously lose interest after the conversation. Perhaps they just saw what a weird girl you were. A sigh left your lips as you threw the phone, not caring whether it broke or not.
"Careful sweet-pea, you don't want to break that. What's got you so het-up about Hannah and Hailey being busy?" Penny clicked his fingers and fixed the cracked phone, chuckling at your scowling expression.
"They have boyfriends. Guys who...love them. I guess I'm kind of...I don't know, jealous?" You mumbled insecurely.
"Why would you be jealous? You're impossible not to love, sugarplum." The killer comforted you and ruffled your hair, his hug being somewhat soothing.
"No one likes me that way. The boys at school don't - they act interested but then disappear a day later." You bitterly responded, leaning into his chest as you felt defeated.
"How come you're so determined to be in a relationship? You're still pretty young, you know." Penny booped your nose and passed you a lollipop, trying to cheer you up.
"Because I want to know what love feels like! I want to know what...what it is. I feel like Anna from Frozen at this point. It's ridiculous." You huffed, cracking a quick smile at his confused expression.
"You know what love feels like, cutie. It's when someone cares about you." The clown cuddled you close and rested his head on your shoulder, his reply having somewhat of a point.
"Well I really meant a romantic type of love." You muttered moodily.
Pennywise fell silent, his hold on you growing a little bit possessive. Then he grabbed your wrists, turned you around and pinned you to the bed - acting oddly aggressive. "You mean non-platonic love, sweets?"
Your eyes widened at his dominant grip on you, his golden, glittery eyes striking you as enchanting. Penny sure did have super alluring eyes, but you had always though he was really cute. You just didn't think a killer clown would like you that way, so you didn't bother thinking romantically towards him. Then again, he always tried to cheer you up - by giving you candy or other gifts that you liked. He was definitely a good friend...but could he be more? You'd never thought about it before. His grin was playful - pleasant even, yet you sensed something much more sadistic underlaying it.
"O-Only if it got that far." You admitted hesitantly, flushing bright pink at his statement.
"I'm sure it'll happen one day sugar-bear, try not to let it get you down." Pennywise relaxed his grip slightly, acting kind as usual whilst he leaned his head against yours.
"Have you ever felt love Penny?" You faintly asked, entranced by his eyes and his looks.
The killer pondered your question for a moment, tilting his head to the side a little. "Not until recently."
"You like someone too? You're kidding." You complained and sighed again; acting childish.
"You're so cute." He smirked as he rolled his eyes, flicking your forehead gently.
"Hey! What was that for?" You touched your forehead after he flicked in and frowned, not understanding.
"Let's just say the person I love...well, it would be wrong of me to advance without her consent and her knowledge, along with reciprocating the same feelings." Penny ruefully remarked.
You were incredibly bewildered as to who Pennywise would be interested in, but it didn't take you long to figure out who he meant. Who else would he mean? You were his only and first friend, he had to mean you. Pink coloured your cheeks when you thought back to everything Pennywise had done for you; from the moment you met him to the time being. He'd protected you from your abusive mother, he'd stopped people from abducting you, he'd defended you from those cruel girls and even got rid of those bullying kids from your class.
"We no understand...she's your leetle girl?"
"Of course she is. Now touch her again and you'll die."
"If I brainwashed your memory, you wouldn't remember me. I'm being selfish, but you were my first friend. I can't forget that, nor can I bring myself to erase our meeting from your mind."
"Because I like you. And you know my views on humans as a whole."
"Why are you so happy? It's that boy isn't it?"
"No dummy, it's you. I didn't think monsters got jealous like humans, it's kinda cute. Now stop being so huffy."
"I'm not huffy-!"
"Yes you are."
"I'm just protecting-."
"Shhhh, don't ruin the moment."
"Oh honey, you look like a million candy bars."
"(Y/n), go over to the Hook a Duck stall and wait for me there. Do you understand?"
"But-"
"I won't allow this bullying to continue. I care too much about you to let some little shits hurt you. Now go."
How could you've been so blind? All this time, could Pennywise have been crushing on you? This was the most romantic thing you've ever experienced; someone cherishing you from the depths of the shadows. You felt so...so happy. Pennywise was one of the sweetest people you knew, and rightfully so. He whipped up anything you could ask for, always made sure you were cheerful, and would instantly be by your side in a jiffy if anything was up. You couldn't believe he would fall in love with you, but if it was true, you would be overjoyed.
"Penny...Do you...Do you mean me?" You shyly asked, your heartbeat growing unsteady as you sat up.
"No." The clown abruptly answered, bursting into laughter when your expression switched to a stunned one.
"I'm teasing, of course it's you, honey. I love everything about you - I always have." Pennywise fondly spoke; affection shining from his gaze whilst he smiled.
"You...have? But...But I didn't think-"
"What? That a monster like me wouldn't love someone like you?" You flinched at his offended tone, feeling bad about that assumption.
"N-No! Well...I just thought you'd think that humans weren't good enough to be partners." You bashfully explained yourself.
"Don't humans call that racism?" Pennywise pointed out wryly, stifling a sigh.
"I wasn't trying to be, god no! I just...I didn't think I'd be good enough for you." You felt ashamed and looked away - blushing when the killer slid a finger under your chin and tilted your face towards him.
"Sugar, you will always be good enough for me. But I'm a serial killer - a monster who feeds sadistically on your kind. Don't you see? I'm not good for you." Penny argued; torn between protecting you and giving into his desire.
"I don't care. You've always been there for me Penny. I wish I had noticed your feelings sooner, I've acted like such a child." You shook your head and tackled him into a hug, beaming.
"No, you acted like you should've. Don't humans have a thing about age? I'm millions of years older than you, and you're only (Y/a)." He shook his head bitterly.
"I am of age though! And I don't care that you're older than me." You wrapped your arms around his neck and sent him a sweetened smile, happy that he liked you that way.
"All that aside, you've seen me eat several kids. You know what I am and what I've done. How can you still like me after all that?" Pennywise quizzed in confusion, now resting his head atop your hair and stroking your strands with the utmost of care.
"Well...you do what you have to do. To survive. I know how much fun you are, and how nice you are. So I guess that's why I still like you." You said cheerfully, feeling happy as you snuggled into the clown.
"You're still so naïve cherry, I worry about you." He chuckled and cradled your face; staring into your eyes curiously.
"I know you do." You giggled - enjoying the feel of his hands and closing your eyes lightly.
It all happened so fast; lips pressing against yours and giving you such a loving kiss that your eyes widened in shock. P-Pennywise was...! Your heartbeat was uneven, your cheeks shining pink whilst your body went weak. Is this what love felt like? Penny had always been there for you, being playful and sweet and kind - he had always been the one. His butterscotch eyes were sparkling, making you guess that he was happy too. That was...That was good. You'd been such a fool. A fool to not see something so clearly in front of you. And a fool not to confess to Pennywise sooner. You couldn't help but be romantically attached to the killer clown.
Norman Bates:
"Come on Norman, we're going to be late otherwise." You hoisted your bag over your shoulder and waited for the shy boy to appear.
"I-I'm here. S-Sorry I m-made you w-wait so l-long." Norman apologised timidly, appearing at your side a minute or two later.
"Hey don't worry about it. You all set?" You asked in a friendly fashion.
The two of you were going out to shop for more supplies and all the guests you'd booked in were being overlooked by someone else. The hotel had more than enough money since business had started booming, so much so that Norman hired another member of staff. This was the "someone else" that was looking over the motel today. Her name was Molly, a young teen with short blonde hair and soft hazel eyes. She worked part-time and focused on school, so she was a good kid. You worried a bit about her being able to help out, but Molly was good at cleaning rooms and managing the front counter - meaning she was completely covered.
"Y-Yeah! Y-You didn't h-have to come o-out with m-me, y-you know. I-I wouldn't h-have minded g-going by myself." Norman grew embarrassed whilst you both started to walk, his face slightly pink.
"It'll be quicker if we go together - and besides, it'll also be way more fun. You don't mind that I tagged along, do you?" You spoke lightly, a little worried. Maybe Norman didn't want you to come for some reason.
"N-No, of c-course not." He shook his head and smiled, taking ahold of your hand.
You didn't mind that he was holding hands with you, in fact it felt rather nice. Working together with Norman and hanging out like this, it was definitely fun for you. His bashful personality never bothered you - it had the opposite effect, because you found it super duper adorable. It was true; a few times you'd get slightly annoyed at Norman for being a bit too clingy at times, but it just meant that he really cared for your wellbeing. You could never stay mad at him. The friendship you two had was strong - although it had suffered when he tried to force you to stay.
Ah well, trust would come back one day. For now, you would just enjoy the comfortable relationship you had with him. The sun beamed down brightly, the shining rays of warmth making you smile and smell the air. Ah, summer was such a sweet-smelling season - all the pretty flowers and nature having a lovely scent. Walking anywhere was extremely pleasant. Oh, speaking of flowers, you had to ring your mother up and explain why you still weren't at her house yet. You actually felt sad to leave the motel, considering you'd worked so hard to make it sustainable. Maybe your mother would understand if you asked to stay?
"Hey uh, Norman?" You awkwardly called for his attention, coming to a halt outside of the store.
"I-Is something w-wrong (Y-Y/n)?" Norman tilted his head in a very adorable manner, his expression full of surprise.
"Would you mind going in first? I just have to make a call." You asked him politely, digging out your phone and waiting for him to answer.
"O-Oh...okay. J-Just be c-careful, t-there could b-be creeps l-lurking a-around." Norman warned worriedly, concerned for your safety.
"I'll be careful. See you in a second." You pleasantly replied - toying with your phone out of nerves. Norman squeezed your hand before entering the shop, leaving your side unwillingly. You released a stressed-out sigh and dialled your mother's number in, leaning against the wall whilst you waited for her to pick up.
"(Y/n)! I've been so worried about you, thank goodness you called. How've you been, my little munchkin?" She sounded concerned for the first part, but then purposely called you a pet name - knowing you hated it.
"Call me that again and I'll hang up." You threatened seriously, causing her to laugh.
"You know I'm only teasing, sweetheart. How are you doing? Are you okay?" Your mother questioned after she stopped chuckling.
"Yeah, I'm just out with a friend right now. He runs a motel and I'm helping him get fresh supplies." You kept your answer as vague as possible, feeling a tad anxious.
"Oh that's nice! What's his name?" She sounded interested and you grew shy.
"Norman. He's cool." You mumbled.
"You sound a little shy there, dear. Ooooh, could you be crushing?" Your mother cooed innocently, making you blush.
"W-Wha-?! Mom! I am not! That's not why I called!" You defensively retorted, and she laughed again.
"Oh? Then why did you call?" You could already imagine the smirk she'd have on her face right about now. Great.
"Well...it's about work..." You trailed off hesitantly.
"You want to stay and work with that boy, that about right?" Your mother guessed shrewdly, her accurate guess stunning you.
"It's not like that! I just...I just enjoy working at the motel. Don't be so mushy." You complained as you tried to ignore her words.
"It's a mother's job to embarrass her children. And I'm feeling...that right now...you must really want to be with him~" She deviously remarked.
"Stop it!!" You exclaimed and clutched your hair with your free hand, agitated.
"Oh, I've been meaning to ask you something, since we're on the subject of my children. Where on Earth has that silly sister of yours gone? I haven't been able to get in touch with her recently." Your mother sighed in dismay - obviously a little perplexed.
"I'm not sure. I thought she was with you." You were also puzzled about this, but didn't think too much of it. Laura was way too much work, and there were tons of bad qualities you didn't like about her. You didn't have time to worry about her whereabouts anyway.
"Ah well, I'm sure that girl will pop up sooner or later. What was your main reason for calling me, hun?" Your mother played it off and brought the conversation back to you
"Well...you pretty much nailed it. I want to stay here and keep working at the Bates' Motel, instead of going over to work with you. It's not that I don't love you! I-I do! I just prefer this line of work than being a florist, and-"
"Then you stay there and do what's right for you. It's your life honey, it's not my place to tell you where you should work." Your mother cut you off and gave her answer all at once, her tone gentle and understanding.
"Thanks, Mom." You sighed in relief.
"Oh and confess to that boy whilst you're at it. I can tell when you like someone (Y/n), and you've never been this shy about a boy before. So best do it whilst you've got the chance." She mischievously added, making you groan.
"Bye Mom. Talk to you soon." You rolled your eyes as she giggled again.
"Bye sweetie. Talk to you soon, and take care of yourself." She replied kindly before hanging up.
You pocketed your phone and entered the shop yourself, trying to ignore her boy-advice and look for Norman at the same time. Confess to him, what the hell did she mean? You...You didn't like Norman that way...did you...? No, she was just being silly. You breathed out deeply, spotting the dark-haired male inspecting some dishes. His umber, unruly mop of hair and deep blue eyes really were attractive though...and the way he was always lost in thought struck you as cute. W-What were you thinking?!
"H-Hey Norman. Sorry that took so long." You stuttered a little but tried to stay calm, standing next to him and looking at the plates too.
"W-Welcome back, (Y-Y/n)! I w-was just s-seeing wh-what kind o-of p-plates we s-should buy." Norman explained himself quietly, flashing you a shy but sweet smile.
"Hmm, plates are pretty important. Why don't we pick those ones? They have nice-looking golden outlines." You noted, trying to critique them. They did look pretty professional too.
"A-And we'll n-need ma-matching m-mugs and c-cutlery." Norman agreed, picking up a crate of the golden-rimmed plates.
"Let me get a trolley, it'll save us from lugging everything around." You planned quickly, taking a minute to fetch one. When you returned, Norman said a grateful thanks and placed the crate inside - taking hold of the trolley for you. He soon added matching cutlery, cups, wine glasses, bowls and mugs.
"W-What about l-linen? W-We s-should pr-probably get f-fresh s-sheets." Norman pointed towards the bedroom part of the shop, you nodding in agreement.
Half an hour passed and you had stocked up on most of the supplies, the two of you chatting about different topics and helping to decide which supplies would benefit the motel the most. It was a fun way to spend the day in your mind, Norman obviously thinking the same. Running the motel and hanging out like this, it was perfect for you. You were more of a hard-worker than most girls your age, so you didn't mind spending your time this way. Your mother's words echoed around your thoughts, causing you to feel a little embarrassed.
"You sound a little shy there, dear. Ooooh, could you be crushing?"
"W-Wha-?! Mom! I am not! That's not why I called!"
"Oh? Then why did you call?"
Your embarrassing thoughts got interrupted as someone charged past Norman, shoving him into you and sending the two of you flying towards the door. It was immensely awkward, especially because Norman had landed on top of you and it looked...well, it could look better. His face was a beetroot red, your cheeks being flushed bright pink by this point too. Neither of you said anything at first - both of you feeling horribly embarrassed. Norman did look adorable though...ugh, why did your thoughts keep drifting to how attractive he was?!
"I-I'm s-so s-sorry (Y-Y/n)!" He cried out in shame, springing back and scrambling to his feet.
"H-Hey...don't um...don't worry about it. It wasn't your fault..." You faintly spoke, trying to calm your frantic heartbeat down.
Were you crushing on Norman? Or were your mother's words just getting to you? You didn't usually act this dreamy and dazed. You normally didn't check Norman out like earlier either...something was definitely up. The people in the aisle began to chuckle, saying how cute a couple you to seemed to be and causing you to blush harder. Norman offered his hand to help you up and you took it, holding his hand afterwards as you pushed the trolley out of that aisle.
"A-Are you a-alright, (Y-Y/n)? Y-You seem a-a bit...d-distracted. I-I really a-am s-sorry for b-before." Norman asked anxiously, feeling guilty.
"I-I'm fine. Sorry, I guess I've just got something on my mind. Don't worry about me." You squeezed his hand and smiled, sudden butterflies in your stomach.
"I-Is it s-something I-I did?" He fretted whilst you two wandered over to the cashier line.
"No, no. Please don't worry, you'll make yourself sick again. I care about you Norman." You let a part of it slip and then glanced away, your cheeks glowing pink yet again.
"I-I care a-about y-you too (Y-Y/n)." Norman stammered sweetly, pulling the trolley along as the two of you waited in line.
You didn't say anything but your heart melted at his response, proving that you definitely did care for Norman in a romantic way. He was absolutely adorable, and made you soften up in many different aspects. His loyal attitude and softhearted spirit was one of the things you adored about him. You couldn't even begin to describe your feelings for Norman - they simply couldn't be explained. You were just happy to be around him. So you couldn't help but fall for the sweet male beside you.
Hannibal Lecter:
A gasp escaped your lips as you jolted awake, breathing heavily whilst you realised that you were only dreaming. Just a dream...nothing more, nothing less. You pushed the quilt away and checked the time, seeing that it was 2am. Damn, you didn't even sleep the whole night. Guess that nightmare messed with your mind more than you thought. You decided to get up and do something instead of sleeping - not wanting another bad dream. What could you do though? Going outside in the dark wasn't ideal...perhaps you could go and read a book in the library?
You crept out into the hallway in your nightgown, shivering a little due to it being a tad chilly. Probably should've brought a blanket or something. Stifling a yawn you pushed open the library door, flicking the light on and smiling at the sight of books. Being surrounded by such lovely literature would surely calm you down and get you to be productive. But what would you read? You ran your fingertips across the spines of the books, selecting a fine story of Shakespeare's - A Midsummer Night's Dream.
It was certainly entertaining to read, the different love interests and flower juice manipulation causing you to be hooked instantly. You curled up on one of the sofas and opened the fancy book, flicking to the first page. You'd read Shakespeare's work before, but that didn't mean you couldn't enjoy it more than once. Hermia was in love with Lysander, Helena was in love with Demetrius, Demetrius was in love with Hermia - the chaotic love was awfully interesting to you. In fact you were so enraptured by the plot and the characters that you didn't notice someone else enter the room.
"Surely it's a bit too late to continue reading." You jumped at the sound of Hannibal's voice, seeing him in the doorway.
The brunet had a blanket draped over his arm and a lighthearted smile spread across his face, obviously concerned about your wellbeing. To you Hannibal was always considerate though, the smart male being somewhat of an idol in your eyes. He was wearing a formal, silk dressing gown, his hair slightly ruffled. Had he been sleeping? He still looked as handsome as always, maybe more so now. A wild blush brightened your cheeks when you realised you were checking him out, trying to find words so you could form a reply.
"Well I-...I just-the thing is...you see...uh..." You mentally cursed at yourself, hopelessly stumbling over your words and acting like a fool. He's going to think you were slow or something!
"Trouble sleeping?" Hannibal shot you a sympathetic gaze - obviously relating to sleeping issues.
"Yeah. I didn't really feel like trying to sleep again." You made your response as vague as possible, not wanting to complain like a child.
He nodded and walked into the room, gently passing you the blanket as he did so. "Understandable. Here, you might catch a chill." The smart man remarked softly, looking out for you in the sweetest way possible.
"Thanks Hannibal." Your cheeks flushed pink after you thanked him; wrapping the blanket around you like a cloak.
"You're very welcome, my dear. Now what are you reading there?" He picked a book from the shelf and then sat on the other sofa - leaning against the arm.
"Oh, um, one of Shakespeare's works." You answered shyly, growing embarrassed.
"A fine choice. My apologies for interrupting your reading session, do carry on." Hannibal politely responded, opening his book and trying not to disturb you further.
You gave a timid nod as you kept reading, lost in the book's influential and intellectual style of language. However you wondered what Hannibal was reading, curious as to what sort of genre he would read at 2:30am. Your curiosity peaked and you stole a glance at his book, seeing the title. Romeo and Juliet? That couldn't be a coincidence. Did he also like romantic literature? Surprise was written across your face but you didn't judge, on the contrary you actually respected him. Not many people seemed to admire the classics anymore.
Yet your averted your gaze quickly when Hannibal caught you peeking, his sienna eyes staring into yours with amusement. Oh god, he saw you peeking at him! Staring was rude, and bad manners was something that you knew Hannibal detested. But how could you not look at him? He was incredibly attractive, with his firm jawline and pleasant attitude. Not to mention those beautiful, reddish-brown eyes of his. Hannibal was such a gentleman too...in fact you wondered why he didn't have a partner. Maybe he hadn't found the right person yet...?
"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind." Hannibal quoted from your book suddenly, shooting you a playful smile and stunning you momentarily.
You'd read Romeo and Juliet too, so maybe you should retort with a quote from his book? "Don't waste your love on somebody who doesn't value it." You delicately recited.
"The course of true love never did run smooth." He chuckled and carried on the quoting conversation you two seemed to be having.
"Thus with a kiss I die." You decided to continue with a dramatic quote as your shyness crumbled away - happy to keep interacting this way with him.
"I'll follow thee and make a heaven of hell, to die upon the hand I love so well." Hannibal spoke with adoration at this point, as if he was speaking about someone in real life.
"I didn't know you enjoyed Shakespeare." You slid a bookmark in to mark your page and then shut the book, placing it on the table in front of you.
"His writing style is both complex and clever. His works might be complicated for some, but he was immensely intelligent compared to the people of today. I can respect a man such as him." Hannibal paused, thinking deeply. "However I do disagree with some of his beliefs."
"His...beliefs? Like misdirected love and how chaotic it can be in general?" You questioned.
"Not even misdirected love. I just think that he tends to exaggerate how deep love can actually be. I doubt people today would die for someone they love - because people's feelings are fickle." Hannibal wrinkled his nose in distaste and you shook your head, surprising both of you.
"I don't think Shakespeare exaggerates love. He's showing how disharmonious and disastrous it can become." You started to lose focus, your eyes glazing over as you daydreamed a little. "-and if I had to die for the one I love, I would gladly do it. I'd want him to be happy in my place."
"Him?" He picked up on that specific word, snapping you out of your softhearted state.
"W-Well whenever a guy decided they liked me that way. Y'know what I mean." You fumbled for words and grew defensive, scared of the situation. Did Hannibal know?
Know what? You started to question yourself, cheeks pink again whilst you asked that question. Did you crush on him? You were grateful for him helping you out so much; for giving you therapy, for giving you a place to stay and for giving you a kindness that not many people had given you before. You owed a lot to Dr. Lecter. Were you mistaking love for thankfulness? No way...but then again, you were checking him out earlier. You always listened to him, you valued his opinions and you learnt a bunch of important things from the brown-haired male.
"I do, but generally people swap out the word him for them. "I'd want them to be happy in my place." I'm terribly interested as to why you said him." Hannibal's pleasant smile was somehow almost devious, his dark eyes twinkling mischievously as he waited for your reply.
"W-What's that supposed to mean-?! I-I just meant-I mean, I-I'm straight, so-" Your entire face was red, your heartbeat beating wildly out of control whilst you stuttered. Why were you so defensive and embarrassed? Did you really have feelings for him? These questions buzzed around your brain, making it harder and harder to think.
"He really only touched my wrist, it didn't bother me."
"Whilst it might've not bothered you, it was a rude thing to do - I was merely protecting you, (Y/n) dear."
"You don't have a problem with that, now do you?"
"N-No...Not at all..."
"You're a fraction above the usual intelligence of an average human being - I can tell by the sophisticated language you just used. You have the natural beauty of someone from higher standing, and you're unbelievably modest."
"Your flustered state is extremely refreshing, did you know that?"
The way Hannibal spoke to you was extremely affectionate and pleasant, now that you thought of it; his kind manners always soothing you no matter what state you were in. He helped you through your bad days, your sad days and even cheered you up, giving you support whenever you needed. The smart male was the only socialisation you got - you never really cared about going outside, with the exception of the garden. Yet he was the only social interaction you needed, considering he was amusing, fascinating, entertaining and charismatic. Guess you really did like him that way...
"It seems I spoke out of turn. My apologies, (Y/n). Now," Hannibal looked at the clock on the wall before continuing, "-perhaps it would be best to retry sleeping."
"O-Okay." You dipped your head as a nod and stood up, holding the blanket around you tighter.
Hannibal stood up and the two of you moved towards the door, him letting you go first in a gentlemanly fashion. But as you opened the door and went through the doorway, two arms snaked around your waist and pulled you back; your back bumping against a firmly toned chest. The male's head was lightly resting on your shoulder - his lips angled towards your ear as he murmured something to you. Your cheeks had never, ever glowed so bright in all your life after what he said. Before you could respond to him, Hannibal said goodnight in a polite voice and walked back to his room.
You walked back to your room in a daze, speechless and completely confounded by his actions. D-Did he mean what he said-? Or was that meant to be a joke? With a heated face you climbed into bed and cuddled into the blanket, pulling the quilt around you once more as your eyes fluttered shut. You were oddly happy considering you had a nightmare, but Hannibal reading alongside you made it all better. His words kept repeating in your head, your heart skipping several beats whilst it sped up. His words...those sweet, reassuring, and treasurable words~
"You can rest assured that he feels the same way too, whomever the man may be. Sleep well, my beloved (Y/n)."
Hannibal must've figured it out easily, his sharp mind always noticing things that you did before you even realised you did them. To find out that he felt the same way...it filled your heart with happiness. How could he care about someone so dysfunctional? Someone not as smart as him? Whatever the case may be, you were certainly head over heels for the brunet - his charm and charisma winning you over. He always paid attention to you, no matter how silly or shy you were being. How could such a perfect man exist? You hugged the blanket even tighter, inhaling his natural scent and feeling at ease.
You loved Hannibal Lecter. So much so that you couldn't hide it anymore...-not that showing your love was a bad thing. The only reason you never confessed or acknowledged your love was due to your fear of rejection and abandonment. Surely a psychiatrist and a patient couldn't share a relationship outside of the professional one. Was Hannibal planning to break that rule? That was incredibly sweet of him. Yet you'd never felt so happy; your heart fluttering at the very mention of Hannibal's name. He was quite special to you, considering he'd done more for you than anyone else.
You started to feel sleepy, your thoughts spiralling into a dreaming state. Yes...he was really special. And you loved him for it.
**UPDATE** I realised that Hannibal's hair colour isn't blonde, like I've written in my parts, (as confirmed by HealthyCeleb.com = Mads Mikkelsen's Height/Weight/Weight/Body Statistics) So now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go back and rectify my mistake/s in every part. My apologies💙
