Your parents knew her at the same hospital they were staying because of they own health issues so she had the moment to meet you once you were born.

Your parents sadly passed away in a accident and diana happened to be the only one they wanted to look after you because of how close you both are and knew she would be perfect as your new guardian.

Diana just let you have a party with your friends and your remaining family members so you could have the best birthday possible.

You met other ghosts like her such as mary shaw, Samara Morgan, and more so once in awhile she goes to them to watch you.

She doesn't often let anyone babysit for she's very protective of you.

She doesn't let her kill her victims or help because she wants you to maintain some sort of innocence before she introduces you to that life.
