Chapter 3: All These Plane-Shmanes

 Zac's POV

The last time I had been on a plane was with Shelly. We were dating for about 3 months at that time. She had just got a promotion at work and she wanted to go somewhere for the weekend.

" I can't wait to get away from this horrible weather!" she said, excitedly waiting for the boarding line to open, " You will buy me an 'I LOVE NYC' shirt, won't you Zac?"

"Of course, I will!" I told her, even though I was tight on money.

She rambled on about all the things that she was excited to do once we reached NYC, like see broadway shows, eat in expensive restaurants and kept saying "You'll pay for it, won't you darling?", Shelly went on and on about it for an hour, but all I was doing was calculating how much money I was spending in my head. I had to cross out items that I was planning to buy, like gifts for everyone, books that were available there and at the end, all of my items got crossed off. I couldn't say no to Shelly. I had learned what had happened the hard way, a few weeks back.

"WHAT?!!!!!!!!!" she yelled! "YOU SELFISH DOG!!!!!! I ASK FOR ONE THING FROM YOU AND YOU CAN'T GIVE IT TO ME?!!! I'M YOUR GIRLFRIEND, FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!!!"

A chair was hurled at me.

Actually, she didn't ask for one thing. She asked for about four. Four REALLY expensive things. An iPhone, a PC, designer boots and a diamond ring. But of course, reminding her of that fact would make her even madder.

"Babe, I told you! Money's really tight at the moment and if I buy you all those things I won't even be able to afford proper food for myself!"

The next things she said were unrepeatable.

I knew that when I came back from NYC, I would need to steal some money from Godfather's wallet to pay back all those waiters from those fancy restaurants because the money that I had brought wasn't enough. I felt bad for lying to my godparents, but it wasn't the first time I had or the last. I had lied to Godmother today when she came to leave me at the airport. I had told her that I was traveling to bury Godfather's riches.

"Zac, I'm going to miss you so much!" Godmother said.

"I'm only going to be gone a few days Godmother, don't worry." I lied. After a few days, I was going to call her and say that my flight got canceled and the only convenient one was in a few days.

Then the most horrifying thing happened.

"What's your flight number?" Godmother asked, "I want to track your flight, I don't trust these silly planes."

I was screwed.

"Uh, I'm not too sure..." I could feel my tongue turning blacker by the second.

"Ok, then let me see your ticket!" Godmother stuck her bony hand out.

I had no choice now. I pulled the ticket out of my pocket and gave it to her.

"Washington?" she questioned, eying the ticket suspiciously, "Zac, are you still going on that trip with your friends?"

Oh no, oh no, oh no!!

"Hahaha! No no no! It's not like that at all!" I stammered, "Since this airline doesn't go to Dallas, I'm hopping off at Washington and going there by road!"

I exhaled.

"Hmmm......ok......but then why didn't you take another airline?"

"It was the cheapest one available."

For once, I wasn't lying. I had checked out all the flights that were going to Washington and the only other flight that was a bit cheaper was the one that Greg and Nick were taking. We had decided that to prevent Godmother from asking more questions, they would go on a separate flight than me and we would meet up at Washington. For the first time in that moment, I wished that I was Godfather. Since he owned the entire lingerie store he got the most money of all. But that isn't all. He was a gambler. He was the biggest gambler in town. The reason he knew everyone downtown was because of gambling. He was a legend and had a record of never losing a gamble. Everyone called him 'The Gambling Godfather' which was really funny since he literally was MY Godfather. He always told me that I could take some of his money, what was mine was his, but I always felt really guilty about it and the fact that I'm going to Washington now makes me feel even guiltier.

So now I'm stuck on this plane. Horizon Air. The name sounds really cheesy like they were trying too hard. But it's cheap and is the best way to get to Washington. All these plane-shmanes are the reason people go bankrupt. I turned around, waved goodbye to Grandma and headed towards the next gate.

Aria's POV

Oh, my god. They had found me. I can't believe they found me. My father's tribesmen were going to take me back home now. So that he could push me into a forced marriage. But I couldn't let that happen. So I kept running as fast as my legs could take me. Thank goodness for my past experience or else they would have already caught me.

"I need to blend into this airport, or else they'll find me." I thought.

Then I saw a few ladies giggling and whispering as they strolled their bags. They were flight attendants. I had an idea.

I followed them until they were out of the public's sight. Then I took out my modern-small-spearish thing and I shot one of the attendants.

"Ahhhhh!!!!!" the rest of them screamed like it was the scariest thing they had ever seen in their lives.

Of course, it would have been. The babies must have never seen a weapon before.

"You better keep your mouth shut about this or else it'll be you next," I warned them.

They still looked terrified.

"Oh, calm down! She's only going to be asleep for a few hours! Now hurry up and help me get into her clothes."

Hiiii guyssss!! Hope you liked this chapter. Sorry if it's a bit short, I'm saving most of the drama for the next chapter, which will be out soon, hopefully in a few days. Anyways, what do you think is going to happen next? Any suggestions? I would love to hear from you!
