What should I reply? Sisira fidgeting her fingers looking at her Nokia Phone..
Several thoughts🤔 surrounded her mind. She was busy in recollecting all their moments together since their marriage till now..

Another beep beep..

"I wish I had taken you along with me!"

Sisira lips spread wide looking at the msg. She don't even know what to reply him. Till now they hadn't have any proper conversation between them. Now she started developing an unknown feeling towards him..

Am I missing him? She looked at the msg and talked to herself.. Her thought broken with another msg that popped out..

I have reached to station..

At last sisira started typing on her phone.
"Happy journey."

Sravan who's busy in giving reply to his parents talks looking around the platform where passengers are busy in there own ways..

When his phone vibrated he instantly took it from his phant pocket looking at the screen his face glowed like million lights..
It's a msg from his wife, he immediately tapped it to open with excitement, only to find a simple msg..

"Happy journey.."Phew at least one reply I got he sighed shaking his head and closed the notifications from other apps..

Hearing the announcement, sravan bid bye to his parents and asked to take care of sisira..

First you take care of yourself and call us after reaching there! His mom said in normal tone..

Yes mom, but her parents also leaving tomorrow, so she'll be all alone. Only you people have to take care of her, after all she's a part of our family! Plsz sravan added holding his mom's hand..

Ok ok now you get into the train..

As the train started moving he waved his hand to them and got inside checking his berth number..
After reaching his berth he kept his luggage beneath and sat on window side looking at the phone..

Sisira went back to their room, already missing his presence. But she can feel him everywhere.. She smiled looking at the mirror where he kissed her a while ago..

After his co-passengers settled in their seats by adjusting their berths. Sravan too laid on seat after spreading bedsheet which Sisira had kept in bag..

Keeping his one hand beneath his head his thought ran after his darling wife. He then took out his phone and started sliding photos of her which he took without letting her know, in his gallery.

One photo caught his attention where she's braiding her hair sitting in front of the mirror. This was taken when he's busy in work sitting on the bed, he turned to see her, who's busy in combing her hair.. Her long hair which he got fascinated with and quickly he took his phone which was laying on bed beside him and took a quick shot of her..

Ugh 😒 I should have taken her with me! I'm missing her badly. But there it'll be problem for accommodation and she has to stay all alone even we take a room till I finish my work and get back to her..
It's better that she stays with family.

Sisira went to open the door hearing the knock and talks from outside their in-laws retuned from station..

What magic you have done on my son that he's became so protective over you! He's telling me to take care of you. Her mil taunted and got back to her works..

Sisira felt bad for her bitter words but on other side she felt happy to hear about her husband care towards her.

She went back to get the dried clothes from outside and took them straight to her room and started folding clothes thinking of her mil..

Why mil thinks like this? I have no intention of separating mom and son! I know the value of relations.. It hurts like hell then why would I do that? She talked to herself, and looked at the clock..
It's already 10.. She thought of having food..

After that she went back kitchen and found no food in the vessels! She checked the other ones to found them empty..

She turned back to find her mil coming from outside with an empty bowl.

What you're looking at? Her mil snapped at her.

To which sisira nodded no..

Why to waste food, so thought of throwing out to dogs, she added throwing the bowl into sink..
Clean up the kitchen and go.. She ordered her..

Sisira looked at her while she's moving out! And she engrossed in cleaning up the dishes and cleaned the stove too..

After that, she opened the fridge to find something to eat! But didn't find anything so she took the sugar jar and mixed 2 spoons of it in one glass full of water and drank it to fill her hunger..

Later she walked back to her room and locked it going towards bed and saw her mobile being ringing..

She saw it's sravan.. All her sadness went away in fraction and she smiled pressing the green button..

Hello?

Hi where were you till now?

I- in kitchen..

Had your dinner?

Di-nn-er! Yes just now.. She said stammering..

Ok.. Why aren't you not replying to me?

She kept silent...

Sisira? Are you there?

Huh yes I'm here..

Here means where?

I mean I'm listening to you, she said hitting her head blushing..

Ok.. It's too late now! Sravan looked around people but couldn't ask for a kiss directly over phone..
Ok I'm ending the call!

"Ok" she said in low voice..

Didn't you forgot something?

No, she said in confusion..

Ok fine..
I think I should ask her directly! Sravan thought.. Sisira I think you forget something! Think..

Sisira started thinking and looked around the room..
Yah, you actually forgot--?

What's that?

You forgot to take your watch! She said moving to the mirror and hold his watch in her hands..

Sravan hit his head, yes thanku so much for reminding it now! He grunted..

Didn't you remember what happened before I left home?

Huh! You said bye..

Before that?

She started thinking about the food? I kept the food in your bag only! She said so simply..

Sisira! He cleared his throat, after that.. Think??

Then her mind started thinking about it! K-?
She blushed thinking about it, and there's silence over Phone..

That's the answer I want to hear.. Uff now you got it finally? Huh.. I need it back. Plzz sravan pleaded..

Sisira stood dumbfounded listening to what he asked for?
"Good night", she said cutting the call and hit her head with the phone blushing..

Sravan laughed at her answer and thought about her smile and closed his eyes dreaming about them..

Sisira layed on bed and started stirring being restless with his talks.. And all this new feelings which just started blossoming.. She sat on bed and took his side pillow and hugged it and started biting her nails..

There Mr husband slept peacefully making his wife go restless who's thinking about him and only him...

Next morning🌄🙋🌄🙋

Sisira opened her eyes to find her side empty and she felt bad.
She got down from bed, and went back finishing her chores..

Today it's ekadashi? She said looking at calendar, she fasts twice on this thithi every month.

It's just 6 in the morning.. She quickly started finishing cleaning, mopping and went to take bath..
She wore sari and her wet hair was still tied in towel..

She started cleaning up the puja saman.. Later she sat down and started preparing lamps for lightening diya.. Till now she don't even know why she used to kept fast in these days but now she started praying for sravan.. Pls take care of him.. She requested God and joined her palms praying🙏..

After that she went back to kitchen and saw her mil who came to kitchen..
What special? Today performing puja this early?

Today ek-!!

Anyway it's none of my business. Go and get me tea.. Her mil ordered her..

Sisira nodded and started preparing tea for her in laws.. And even got ready to prepare breakfast..

Granny.. Two children came shouting.. Sisira came out to see sravan sister and her kids arrived to our home..

Sisira greeted her with smile, but she ignored her and went to sit beside her mom..

Mom finished your breakfast?
No she's preparing, her mil said looking at sisira...

what's for breakfast?

Idli maa she said in low..

No no idli children shouted and asked for maggi..
Ok I'll prepare maggi for you both sisira said smiling at them..

But I want rava dosa.. Her sil ordered..
But this tiffin?

Stop preparing it, and do as per everyone wishes, her mil ordered..

Sisira went back to kitchen and kept the batter back into fridge..

She knows cooking well, being alone she learnt most of the recipes.. But she never prepared rava dosa..
She only knows the process, Then she indulged in preparation of everyone's choice..

After half an hour..

She started keeping everything on dining table.. And everyone took their seats..
Chi Chi! Is this called rava dosa? Does anyone make like this? Her sil chided..

Mom why didn't you prepare instead of telling to others? Look how it came, burnt and eww she said making her faces change..

Sisira know that dosa didn't came round but in uneven shapes but taste won't be bad right! She thought.. It's her first time in preparing that!

Don't you do one work correctly? Her mil shouted at sisira..

It's ok mom at least tell her to prepare lunch perfectly..
I'll have this, ok I don't want to waste food so I'm having it..

Sisira felt bad standing alone holding the chutney bowl..

Mami! Maggie is so nice.. That children said in unison.. Which made sisira happy for one thing at least..

Hey shut up and eat.. This two min Maggie is Ntg everyone can prepare it easily, she said glaring at sisira..

Her FIL brought non veg as it's Sunday.. Sisira don't want to touch it at least on this day. But she don't have any other choice other than preparing it..

She started battling with foods that were ordered by them..
After preparing lunch she kept food to children and thought of taking some rest as they both went to play with neighborhood children.. She felt bit tired and so she arranged everything on table and went to room and laid on bed..

Within no time hearing shouts, sisira ran out to see her SIL complaining to her mil..

Look mom! She ate whole curry.. If she wants to eat why to behave as if she doesn't eat at all?

Mom I just kept food for children! Sisira added..

So you are telling that my children ate whole one kilo of chicken fry?
No I didn't mean that, in fact I don't eat today.. I'm fasting..

What❓ fasting for whom? Praying for our bad? Her mil taunted sisira..

No mom I never eat food on every ekadashi..

Ohh now I got it.. Mom look at her, she's doing this puja to separate you and bhai..

No - no mom why would I do that? I swear I'm doing this for wellbeing only. For everyone's happiness..

Oh really? Then prove it..

Her mil dragged her to table and took a piece of fry making sisira eat it..

Sisira pushed her hand and pleaded to leave her.. But she didn't left her in fact fisted her hair and her sil tried to keep the food in her mouth holding her jaw tightly making sisira wriggle..

"Stop it!"

Her FIL shouted at both of them while sisira looked at him helplessly with continuous tears in her eyes which were running down her cheeks..

Both left her making her fell on floor, sisira got up and ran to her room..

She sat down hugging her knees crying out.. She panicked when she felt someone hand on her shoulder..

It's her FIL.. Don't worry sisira.. I'll be there for you.. Don't cry..

Sisira felt her fatherly presence in her FIL and cried out more..

But her FIL sat beside her moving close, sisira Phone started ringing..

Seeing that it's sravan! He left her room going out..

Hello? Sisira? Are you ok?

Sisira muffled her cries and hummed in reply...
