7. Kiss, Marry and Kill
Bilbo and [y/n] had managed, in the end, to get some food for the two of them. Seeing as the sun was shining lovely on them, they choose to make themselves a little picnic under the shadows of a big tree. ''So 'Master' Boggins,'' Bilbo turned and looked a bit confused to the girl, not sure whenever he had misheard her or not.
''If you had to choose, who'd you kiss, marry and kill from any of the dwarves?'' now [y/n] knew that it had been a bit of a weird question, but she wanted to talk about something. And back on Earth, she had done this with her friends plenty of times. They would talk about who they would do from the strangers walking past when they had gotten their drinks in town or around a train station.
''Excuse me?!'' Bilbo sounded offended and shocked at the same time. Had she really just asked that question? She couldn't be serious, could she? [Y/n] didn't think she had asked anything that was wrong, but then again she didn't know the culture of hobbits. Maybe she should have thought about it more. Either way, she could not change what she had said but luckily Rainor had come their way. Seeing the elf approach [y/n]'s eyes light up and she quickly got on her feet.
''Rainor!'' the girl might not have spent that much time with the elf but she had liked his presence nonetheless. She went over and gave him a quick hug. Rainor hadn't expected this and stood still in shock when the girl hugged him. Not that he had the change the hug back anyway for she quickly pulled back and slung an arm around his shoulders instead. She faced Bilbo with a happy face, ''Bilbo this is Rainor. Rainor, Bilbo.''
The two males looked a bit confused at each other but gave the other a polite nod anyway. ''What brings you here?'' [y/n] didn't want to be rude or anything, it was just that she thought she wouldn't see him again. She saw him as a friendly face but he probably still looked at her as a stranger. Rainor looks back at [y/n], who patiently awaits an answer, and thinks hard.
Why had he come here? He remembers walking around Rivendell enjoying his time off and he had spotted the girl and the hobbit having a peaceful lunch. But other than that he had no memory as to why he made his way over. ''I...,'' how was he supposed to tell her that. Clearing his throat he continued speaking with a newfound determination ''I just wanted to make sure that you were taking it easy on that leg of yours.''
[Y/n] looked down at her left lower limb in a slightly defeated manner. It wasn't that painful anymore but she had been advised to not walk on it, not like she was going to follow that advice. She was grateful for all the help the elves had given her so far, she just couldn't bear the thought of her having to sit still for the most part of the days.
Back on Earth it would have been no problem, she could watch shows and movies to her heart's content or even reading her books. But she wasn't on Earth, she was in Middle Earth.
And Middle Earth had so much to offer. It was calling out to her to be explored.
''As much as I can,'' she smiled brightly at the elf. Rainor wasn't satisfied with the answer, he thought she would get more injuries if she didn't take the required rest. But he had also grown to understand that the girl would do what she wanted, not caring much for the caring and advising words of others, through the conversation they carried on their way to Rivendell.
''If your leg is badly hurt you should probably be sitting down [y/n],'' Bilbo's worried voice spoke up. He had hoped that the girl was fine after her trip to the infirmary and that nothing too bad had happened.
She hadn't seemed to be limping or anything while the two of them had been looking for a place to eat. Nor was there any indication on her face that she had been in pain while moving around. But still, he could not help but worry. She was his friend, and he didn't want to lose her.
[Y/n] looked at the hobbit with a slight pout ''You want me to sit and not move, at all, while we are in such a lovely place?'' the girl knew that Bilbo meant well, it was just that she didn't want to be stuck in one spot. She wanted to see more and explore Rivendell. Bilbo felt for her but he knew that she needed to rest.
Upon seeing the sadness in her face Rainor tried thinking of something that would make her feel better again. ''I can take you to the library if you like?'' he decided to offer in the end. He wasn't sure if [y/n] had liked reading but to him, reading was the best way of travel. You could be exploring caves, fighting against or with warriors, or even slaying mighty beasts all from the comforts of your favourite reading spot.
[Y/n]'s eyes lid up and she looked like she was going to burst with excitement. ''Which way to the library?'' she let out in an admiring voice. She liked reading books in general, fantasy obviously being her favourite genre, she was bursting to read more about Middle Earth and its inhabitants. Rainor and Bilbo both look at the girl in astonishment, never having seen her so excited for something.
It didn't take long for the trio to get to the library, though Rainor insisted on helping [y/n] make her way over by supporting her weight. ''Here we are,'' Rainor pushed open the two massive wooden doors to reveal a massive room filled to the bring with books. [Y/n] was quite sure that if it had been possible her eyes would have turned into those big glistering anime eyes. It was truly a sight worth seeing.
Bilbo walked in and started reading some of the titles of the books that were on his eye level. There were a lot of books about elven history and culture, of which he picked up two. His eyes landed on a silvery-looking book about two planks above his eye level. Bilbo tried reaching it was to no avail, not even on his tippy toes, he simply could not reach it.
He looked down and let out a quiet sigh, he didn't know why but he had wanted that book so badly and was a bit sad that it had been just out of his reach.
He quickly looked back at the book again when he saw something move from the corners of his eyes. Over his head a hand had reached up and picked up the book, removing it from its spot on the bookshelf. Looking to see who the hand belonged to Bilbo saw [y/n] smiling kindly at him, one hand was balancing a book tower that reached higher than her own head, the other holding the silvery book out for him to take.
Bilbo took the book slowly out of her hand, their fingers brushing against each other ever so slightly. Bilbo was slightly confused, they hadn't been in the library for that long, how did she gather all of those books so quickly? ''You- you plan on reading all of those books?'' he dared to ask her. ''That's why I picked them up?'' [y/n] eyebrows furrowed a bit at the question, he did know how libraries worked right?
''I've spotted a lovely reading spot with big soft chairs by a big window,'' she smiled before walking off, if Bilbo wanted to follow he could. The hobbit still wasn't sure how she was going to read the entire mountain of books in such a short amount of time but decided to stop questioning it. The girl had surprised him often enough, it was better to just go along with her. Bilbo quickly started walking when he saw her figure disappear behind a corner, he hadn't noticed how deep in thought he had been.
It didn't take Rainor too long to find the girl and the hobbit, he himself had gathered a thick book about Middle Earth's history. When he had found the two he couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. While the hobbit had been sitting straight up and neatly, deeply engulfed in his book, the girl was in some kind of nearly impossible position, one of her hands holding the book open while the other was playing with her lips.
At the soft noise [y/n] looked up, her eyes moved over to lock with Rainor's, her hand not removing from her lips ''Mmmh?'' Rainor slightly shakes his head still amused by her antics ''Don't worry about it,'' he whispered taking place in one of the empty chairs.
The three of them stayed there for the rest of the day. The two males were sitting still while reading, [y/n] moving into a different impossible position to read every few chapters. By the time that Gandalf had found them, there had been made 2 towers of books around [y/n]'s chair, one significantly taller than the other.
Bilbo had left to place the first two books he had picked up back in their rightful spots. Rainor had kept [y/n] company even after he finished reading his book. He had picked up some writing supplies and was currently taking notes on a different book.
''Lord Elrond informed me it is nearly dinner time,'' Grandalf spoke softly to the two. Rainor was a bit confused, he knew that they had been in here for quite some time but he hadn't thought it was that late yet. [Y/n] meanwhile didn't acknowledge him at all. ''[Y/n]?'' Grandalf raised an eyebrow at the girl's behavior. Hearing his voice [y/n] sticks up her hand and holds up her pointy finger, she was nearly done and did not wish to leave this book unfinished.
Bilbo had made his way back to where he had left [y/n] and Rainor, the silvery book still in his hands, and saw a slightly offended Gandalf. The old wizard was looking at [y/n] with a slight glare ''What happened here?'' Bilbo asks quietly, not wanting to disturb anybody else who might have been in the library.
''[Y/n] [Middle name] [L/n] don't you dare shush me,'' Gandalf was clearly angered by the gesture, his voice getting threateningly low. [Y/n] was two paragraphs away from the ending and really didn't want to deal with anybody right now.
Not looking up from the book the girl swiftly changed fingers, aggressively holding up her middle finger. Bilbo looked confused at the mannerisms that the girl was showing, he didn't know what it meant but from Gandalf's reaction, he could guess it was something rude.
That had been the last straw, Gandalf's face red with anger. ''[Y/N]!'' his voice boomed, the room being shadowed in darkness. Rainor looked shocked, not being happy or used to the situation at all. He wanted to get away from the fuming wizard as quickly as he could. [Y/n] flinched slightly at his voice but he didn't scare her, she had gotten used to angry male voices yelling at her.
When she was smaller and stayed up late reading her books quietly in her rooms her dad would storm in, slamming the door open and yelling at her to go to sleep before slamming the door shut. And those were not the only instances. His job had given him lots of stress so the smallest of things that young [y/n] did would set him off. He was a great man overall, but everybody has their moments.
Having come to the end of the story [y/n] slams the book in her hands shut and looks just as annoyed as the wizard himself right back at him. She was going to ask him if he was aware that this a library and that he shouldn't be yelling but decided against it in the end. She had already angered the old man, there was no need to start a war between the two.
''Yes?'' her voice sounded polite but the sweetness of it did not match the expression on her face. [Y/n] placed the book in her hands on the higher tower while waiting for Gandalf's reply.
Gandalf moved his staff up slightly from the ground before moving it back down again, the sound echoing throughout the now completely silent library. Not a second later did the tall tower made from books lift from the ground and start flying through the air, back to the spots where the young lady had first found them.
[Y/n] quickly picked up the smaller tower, slightly afraid that he would put those back too, she didn't feel like having to look them up again. Gandalf grabbed [y/n] roughly by her arm, though not enough to make her drop the books and let her out of the library at a fast pace.
Both Rainor and Bilbo had not been entirely sure what to do next. ''I believe it was dinner time,'' Bilbo was the first to find his voice, speaking as quietly as he could to the elf. ''Yes I believe so too,'' the two males quickly picked up their stuff and headed towards the dining room.
~~~
The company was eating to their heart's content, or they wish they could. There had been no meat on this table either but they couldn't rebel against it this time, Lord Elrond had made sure that there were 8 guards in the room with them, he had hoped that this would keep the dwarves in line.
They had been eating the food, though most of them had sour faces when Bilbo and Rainor joined them. The wizard that had been sent to collect the las and the lad nowhere to be seen. ''Where's Gandalf?'' Bofur asked with a mouthful of food. ''Where's the las?'' both Fíli and Kíli wanted to know.
''I have no idea. Gandalf came to collect us but [y/n] wouldn't listen. He grabbed her by the arm and took her somewhere. He seemed rather angry,'' Bilbo didn't like thinking back to it. Gandalf had seen more pissed off than he had been when the company didn't want him to be their burglar. [Y/n] didn't look to be in a happy mood either, and that scared him more.
Ori, Dori, Balin, Fíli, Kíli, Bofur and Bifur didn't like it when they heard that Gandalf had grabbed [y/n]. How dare he lay his hands on her. Dori, Balin, Fíli, Bofur and Bifur had all been around small dwarflings and knew that sometimes you had to hold them or drag them somewhere against their will, but this for some reason did not feel right for them. Ori and Kíli were not keen on the idea of [y/n] being hurt, especially if they could have prevented it. None of them liked the thought very much.
Bilbo and the dwarves ate their dinner in deafening silence, it seemed that none of them seemed to like talking anymore. A suffocating negative mood hanging in the air, most of it radiating from the people in the room.
The company didn't see Gandalf nor [y/n] show up for dinner that night, no matter how long they waited for them.
~~~
Gandalf had dragged [y/n] to her given room, holding tightly onto her arm. [Y/n] was never really the type of person to voice their discomfort but she did carry a scowl on her face. Not only did she not approve of him touching her, and most likely leaving a big bruise, because of him she nearly dropped her books on numerous occasions.
And to [y/n] damaging a book was a crime punishable by death.
Gandalf pushed her roughly inside her room when they arrived, closing the door behind him with a loud thud. ''And what exactly were you thinking?!'' he turned towards her, his anger clearly showing. [Y/n] stumbled from the hard push and clumsily tried to not spill her beloved books.
Letting out a deep sigh of relief when she was able to keep them all from falling. She places them carefully on the nightstand next to her bed, taking in a deep breath before turning towards Gandalf.
Yes, she was mad, but she knew that he wouldn't understand the absolute hatred she held towards anybody who dared to interrupt her reading time. Besides she was aware that he had tried to be helpful and how she acted was rude, she knew she was at fault.
''According to you I'm never thinking,'' [y/n] wanted to apologize to him, but she had not forgiven him for interrupting her just yet. She sat down on the edge of the bed she was standing next to, crossing her arms in the progress. Her eyes wanting to look nowhere but the beautiful engraved stone tiles that covered the bedroom floor.
Gandalf sighed loudly, pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance. He honestly did not understand this girl sometimes. He was still mad at her for being so rude towards him, but he couldn't help himself but wonder if this could have been the side effect of her growing powers. It took him a while but he figured what kind of magic was developing in her blood, though the ability to use Black Speech was a big indicator.
Shadow magic.
He wished it hadn't been true, but the evidence was there. He knew that she had always preferred to observe situations from a distance, rather than involving herself in them without any knowledge. She had been a rather talkative wee las back in the day, but she would be as quiet as a mouse, going unnoticed by almost all, when the situation asked for it (like trying to stay longer downstairs while it had been past her bedtime).
''Child are you aware of the changes that are happening within yourself?'' [y/n] looked at the still-standing man with an unreadable expression. It sounded like he was talking about puberty or something, and even though [y/n] was pretty sure she had been out of it for some time, she couldn't help but shudder at the thought of Gandalf talking to her about it.
''Your magic,'' Gandalf cleared up. ''Well you seem to know, so why don't you tell me?'' [y/n] seemed to still be in a bad mood after all. Not that Gandalf had expected anything less. ''This probably doesn't mean anything to you, but I suspect that you are developing ... Shadow magic,'' now that he had said it out loud it seemed to be more and more reality than just a guess.
Gandalf had never liked that type of magic. It wasn't that all who used it were evil or anything of the like, though many did use it for their own benefits instead of good, it was the nasty change that it brought along.
You see Shadow magic is a tricky kind of magic. Unlike the other kinds, this one required more need to be in control and greater imagination. You need good control of yourself before even trying to cast anything with shadow magic, if you didn't you could easily be pulled and trapped into the shadow realm. Gandalf could only imagine how lonely and helpless one would feel trapped there. The imagination part you need for specific parts of the magic.
One of those parts being able to pull stuff through shadows and spitting them back out from a shadow near you. You need to nearly see and feel a (shadowy) hand picking of said stuff and traveling back towards yourself and then concentrate on bringing it back to the physical world.
It was well after midnight when Gandalf left [y/n]'s room, he had explained as much as he knew about her magic, answering any question that started filling [y/n]'s mind. When he left he had wished her goodnight, but [y/n] didn't think she would be able to fall asleep tonight.
Even if she had asked Gandalf the questions the moment they popped up in her mind there was still plenty left unanswered. It started making her slightly lightheaded, the fact that she had skipped dinner involuntary didn't help either.
Having enough of feeling this weak [y/n] decided to find something to eat. She highly doubted that any of the shops that Bilbo and her had visited earlier were still open, but it was always worth a shot. She opened her door, feeling more than done with today, but stepped outside anyway.
Had she been paying more attention she would have seen the small group and smaller beings in front of her. Unfortunately, she hadn't and crashed straight into them, her speed luckily not as fast considering she had only just started walking, so the damage was minimal. They all came crashing down towards the floor, [y/n]'s body laying on top of most of the others.
The earthling was very quickly aware of crushing whoever was underneath her and rolled off them as quickly as she could. A soft ''Sorry,'' left her mouth, it hadn't been her intention to make anybody's day just as worse as hers. When her eyes fell on the small group, that had gathered in front of her room, they widened a little.
Right next to her were Dori, Bilbo, Bofur, Fíli, Gloin, Balin and Oin groaning in discomfort and pain. ''Are you alright?'' [y/n] starts helping them standing up again, both her face and voice laced with concern and worry. A bunch of short positive answers came from the males. They had been worried sick after not seeing her show up for dinner. They thought Gandalf had done something bad to her. Luckily that had not been the case. As far as they had deducted so far that is.
''We should be askin' you that Las,'' Gloin was the first to speak up ''Why didn't you join us for dinn'r?'' [y/n]'s face turned sour ''Wasn't my choice,'' she muttered, secretly hoping none of them heard it. She knew it wasn't good to put the blame on Gandalf, she had herself to thank for the situation she had put herself in after all. But hadn't it been for his poor choice of timing and his lengthy explanation then they would have still made it to dinner. Hadn't it been better to eat something before bombarding her with that information?
''Hence why I was going out to try and track down some food,'' she admits without any shame. She had a good feeling about them understanding her logic in this matter. The males shared a look with each other, every single one of them smirking. '' 'Tis a good thing we brought this then,'' the group starts pulling food into her line of sight, nearly making it seem like it came out of thin air. Despite the crash, the food didn't look that bad.
''My heroes!'' [y/n] exclaims happily before wrapping them all in a massive group hug. She stands up and quickly ushers them inside her bedroom. There was a small desk inside the room where the males decided to put the food on. [Y/n] closes the door and quickly sits herself down on the desk chair. ''Thank you so much,'' [y/n] had been so grateful for having such amazing friends. She didn't know why they had done it, other than them being awesome that is, but she appreciated it a lot.
[Y/n] made quick work of the food, feeling so starved she could have sworn she would have died without their help. ''Didn't think it was possible for anyone to devour food quicker than Bombur, but Las I think you 'ave just proven me wrong,'' Bofur lets out a belly laugh. [Y/n] couldn't care less for the joke, all that mattered to her was the food for now. The others found it quite hilarious and joined in with the laughter. Though Bilbo's wasn't quite as loud as the dwarves, his was more polite and restrained.
[Y/n] hadn't cared much for being the attention of their jokes but did like teasing her friends. ''Say Bilbo, thought about an answer to my question yet?'' a playful smirk accommodated her features. Bilbo's ears and cheeks turned pink in an impressive amount of time. The dwarves look curiously between the two. ''What question?'' Fíli spoke the question that was on everybody's mind.
Bilbo was begging [y/n] with his eyes to not tell them. He really didn't want them to know, the answer neither for that matter. Not that he had any.
[Y/n] had this mischievous glitter in her eyes that was telling Bilbo that his begging hadn't done any good at all. ''Who to kiss marry or kill o'course,'' her smiling face didn't reassure Bilbo one bit and he felt himself turning a deeper and darker shade of pink by the second. [Y/n] chuckled slightly at the panicked state of her friend. You shouldn't be laughing about something like that but it was just harmless fun, it wasn't hurting anybody.
The dwarves didn't really know what to do with this information. It was a silly question asked around between dwarrowdams, and apparently female humans as well, just something to pass the time with. To their knowledge at least. It was something silly but Fíli could see the fun in it.
''Kiss [y/n], marry Bofur and kill Nori,'' he answers light-heartedly with a bright smile. This caused [y/n] to wiggle her eyebrows at him and sending the others in a laughing fit. ''Didn't know I was your type Fíli,'' Bofur was able to say between his laughter. ''You're a great dwarf to be around with and I quite enjoy your stories,'' Fíli wasn't afraid to be truthful.
This was a silly game, something to pass the time with, no feelings would get hurt. ''And no offense Dori but if Nori tries to lay his hands on my daggers one more time,'' he didn't have to finish the sentence, everybody got the gist of it. Dori didn't seem to be bothered by it at all, he knew the young prince meant well.
''Kiss Fíli,'' Bofur sends a flirtatious wink his way. ''Marry [y/n],'' she received a kiss blown her way and she pretended to faint at the attention. ''Kill Gloin,'' the last part caused the two dwarves to playfully fight each other, much to the entertainment of the others in the room. ''You bring up your wife too much!'' was Bofur's defense as he dodged another strike towards him.
''Kiss my wife, re-marry my dearly beloved and kill Bofur,'' the loyal husband answers, halting his attacks on the toymaker. The mentioning of his wife light up his eyes, though when he came to the last option he was glaring slightly at Bofur, who pretended to be greatly offended.
Dori, Balin and Oin decided not to answer the question, even if it had just been for fun. [Y/n] had been patiently waiting for Bilbo to finally answer her question but quickly found herself back to everybody's point of attention. ''Mmh?'' her eyes drifted between all the pairs of eyes looking at her.
''Your turn Las,'' Balin said with a slight smile. He had seen how fond she had been growing to the company and was rather curious to her answer. This caused [y/n] to remain silent for a while, overthinking her options per usual. The other waited patiently, all curious to her answers. Though Bilbo had just been glad that the attention hadn't been on him anymore.
''Kiss Ori, he seems like a really nice person. Marry Bombur, because it nice to have somebody cook for you once in a while,'' [y/n] felt the need to explain herself. She had never really been the girl to want somebody to take care of herself, she could do that herself. But she had to admit, being taken care of once in a while does feel nice. ''Though I would totally marry myself if allowed, I am amazing~,'' [y/n] beamed brightly. None of them would argue with that statement.
''And kill Dwalin, no offense Balin,'' Balin didn't take any, it was as clear as day that the two of them didn't get along. ''It's just that it is no secret that he doesn't like me. Then again I haven't given him any reason to like me either. Might have to spend some time with him to let him open up to me,'' it had started as an explanation but towards the end [y/n] had started talking more to herself.
Wanting to keep the mood light and filled with laughter she softly shook her head, she could think about it later. ''So Bilbo, you can't escape it anymore. What's your answer?'' the hobbit hated the twinkle in [y/n]'s eyes, did she really have to single him out like that?
''Uhm... Well..,'' He really didn't want to answer the question. ''C'mon Laddie, it's all fun and games,'' Bofur tried to comfort him. Bilbo let out a deep sigh, there really was no way out of it this time, they were all waiting for him. ''Kiss Bofur, Marry Thorin and Kill [y/n],'' he quickly spoke, not giving it much thought.
The dwarves started laughing at the embarrassed hobbit, not really hearing the answers, while [y/n] was happily surprised. She had a feeling that he would kill her, she put him under pressure after all, but marrying Thorin was a welcome surprise, especially since it had looked like he didn't have to think about that one at all.
[Y/n] wasn't the type of person who would force a relationship on people, but that didn't mean that she didn't see the two people together in her mind. Besides seeing two people fall in love with each other was one of the sweetest things you could do.
Though if Thorin and Bilbo were to end up with one each other then Thorin needs some serious change in behavior. And if things wouldn't work out between him and Bilbo she was always rooting for Bofur to sway the hobbit. But all [y/n] can do for now is to wait and see how things develop on their own.
The group talked and laughed about all sorts of things for the minutes to come, but slowly they started falling asleep, one by one. Dori was the first to fall asleep, soon followed by Oin and Balin. [Y/n] placed the trio on her bed and told the others to talk quieter, not wanting to wake up the dwarves from their well-deserved rest. But it didn't take long for the rest to start yawning as well.
Seeing as Lord Elrond had blessed the girl with a ginormous bed she didn't see a problem with having a slumber party. The others that were still (barely) awake were too sleepy to argue with her and made their way over to the bed. [Y/n] laid in the middle, the sleepy males snuggling up around and against her.
~~~
Thorin, Kíli, Nori, Ori, Dwalin, Bombur and Bifur started to get concerned for their family members. It has been a long time since they had left to get [y/n] some food. Surely they would have been back by now. Not being able to sleep while he was this worried Bombur got up and was about to leave the shared bedroom when he heard somebody call out to him.
''Where you goin' Bombur?'' it was Ori who had spotted him. ''I want to make sure they are alright,'' Bombur whispered, not wanting to wake up any more dwarves. ''Do you mind if I join you?'' Ori had been worried too and didn't see a problem with checking up on the others. Bombur gave him a nod and told him to stay quiet but it was no use, Kíli had heard the plan. ''I'm joining too,'' he was determined and nothing would hold him back.
The trio wanted to take their leave with just the three of them but things never go as planned. In the end, all 7 of the remaining dwarves set off to find their missing companions. They didn't know where [y/n] was told she could stay but that didn't hold them back. They simply followed the crumb and food trail that the previous 6 dwarves had left behind.
It took them longer than expected but that was the night's fault for being so dark. By the time they found the correct door everybody was tired of walking and being awake. Thorin went to knock on the door but found that it had not been closed all the way. He didn't want to pry on [y/n] (especially not when she was sleeping) but he needed to know if the rest was with her. He didn't have to chance to open the door further, for Nori had been too impatient and tired to wait for him and had already done it.
There behind the door were the missing dwarves and the hobbit, sleeping soundly without a care in the world. If the still awake dwarves had the energy to get mad they would have, but they didn't. Every dwarf was exhausted and had just one thing on their mind; sleep.
Not thinking clearly from the lack of sleep they all just climbed on the bed, joining the massive cuddle party that was going on. Within seconds everybody was in their personal dreamlands, more than happy to finally have some rest.
