Rei was the first awake from her siblings. Jock was sitting in the back, watching Bleau sleep. She quickly noticed how upset he was.
"Good morning, Rei." Jock greeted as he led her outside.
"Morning, Daddy."
"So, Rei, let's build up some of that muscle, test it out a bit." she nodded, knowing this was the morning routine with the pups when their father was around- training. She grabbed the opposite end of the rope as her father and she tugged as hard as she could. She gave quick and strong tugs, knowing he was much stronger.
"Down't be afwaid to cherk it nnd shaek your hed to loothen the opponet's grip." he barked through the rope. She did as he told her and she eventually got it away from him.
"Good. Now let's test out how strong those jaws are." he nudged a twig her direction and she scooped it up in her mouth.
"Snap it in one bite." she did so.
"That was easy..." her words drifted off as her father nudged a thicker wooden stick her direction.
"Now try." doing as she was told again, she bit down as hard as she could, nothing happened but teeth marks and a lot of pain in Rei's mouth, causing her to spit it out.
"Pick it back up and try again. But this time, lift your head and throw in a bit of a jump- like you're attacking something. And don't forget to start with your jaws loose." she nodded, narrowed her eyes, and focused on what he told her. She loosened her grip of the stick and lunged forwards at the air with her gaze at the sky. She slammed her jaws shut on the stick and it snapped. She stared at the two pieces in shock.
"Why are you teaching me extra things today, Daddy? What's going on?"
"People are coming here to test you, Rei. Just as I am now. I want you to do your best on this test, no matter what. This is really important and don't let your mother know I trained you for the test, okay?"
"Yes, sir..." Rei was curious why she couldn't tell her mother, but she didn't question it.
"Your mother may tell you otherwise, but don't listen to her this time. Trust me."
"I do, dad."
"Now go wake your siblings, I will awaken your mother so she can help make you all look formal for the occasion." Rei nodded and ran into the DogHouse. The first of her siblings she attacked was Rex.
"Wake up!" she frowned as her brother growled exhaustedly and buried his muzzle into his tail. She slammed her forepaws onto his back and grabbed his ear. She tugged and shook her head.
"Go away, Sissi."
"Today's the big day and you guys need to get up!" she barked in annoyance at his stubbornness. Twix soon joined her in annoying their older siblings. After a little while, everyone was up just before the humans were calling them inside, "Bleau, Jock, Pups!" Rei was the first to the door when they scooped her up and brought her inside while the others had to walk.
