Maya's POV
I ran down the hall nervously. I had exactly 32.6 seconds to get to second period. It was senior year and the teachers were deadly serious about being tardy. It was only the third day, but still.
No joke.
I now was sprinting desperately as I only had 12 seconds to go halfway across the school.
I'll never make this. I thought. I'm so dead.
Even though Mr. Matthews was my teacher, I only had him for for 6th and 7th period.
Just great.
I ran even faster, my thoughts distracting me.
But they were interrupted by my body colliding with something that felt like a, like a, brick wall?
But it turns out it was only this guy. This tall, hot guy.
Oof!!!
I fell to the ground, hard.
I groaned in pain.
"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" he asked.
"Yeah."
He extended his hand. I took it and slipped. But this time, I didn't hit the ground. He grabbed my waist to stop the fall.
I blushed and he smiled.
"Lucas." he said.
"Maya."
