Lucas's POV
I am so dead. I thought.
I didn't know what to say.
So, like an idiot, I sputtered, "Um,
No?...Yes? Maybe?! I DON'T KNOW!!!"
"Wow." Farkle Minkus said. "You must be in love with her!"
Oh, and By the way, Farkle is like the Einstein of our class. He may be smart but he's no athlete.
The whole class oohed.
"What? No I'm not!!"
"Your not?" Maya said, with a bit of disappointment in her voice.
"Well, I guess I do like you. A little. Or a lot. I still don't know."
Maya face lit up. "Oh."
Zay stood up. "OHH MAHHH LAWDDDDDD!!!!! Its happening!!! LUCAYA IS ALIVE!!!!" he screamed.
"Lucaya? " I asked.
"What the Heck is a 'Lucaya' ?" Maya asked.
"Oh, I think its your ship name."
A girl named Sarah said.
"We have a ship name now?" I asked, surprised.
"Now? You've always had a ship name! Since you were voted best couple back in eighth grade."
Darby said.
Oh yeah. Eighth grade. We were still fighting then.
"Well are you guys going to date or what?" Zay asked.
"I don't know."
"Maybe? "
Riley stood up, walked over to
Me, took my hand and said, "But their not because Lucas and I are dating!"
"We are??" I asked.
"We are." she answered.
"What?" the class said.
"What?" said Maya.
"WHATTT????!!!!!!!!" Zay screamed.
I looked around.
The class looked surprised.
So did the teacher.
Zay looked surprised and hurt. And so did Maya.

At lunch
Maya's POV
I looked over at Riley, who was flirting with Lucas.
I rolled my eyes.
I was fed up with Riley. She had been trying to stead Lucas away from me since 8th grade.
Something told me that Zay was too, because he got up on the cafeteria stage, grabbed the mike and said,
"Hey Riley! I got a song for you.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Lucas loves Maya
And you know it too!"

Everybody started cheering.
I cheered as well.
Riley looked steaming mad, but Lucas just rolled his eyes at her and moved towards me. He smiled at me.
I smiled back.

Zay was singing away, and I felt happy again.
