I rubbed my tired eyes as I stood near the front door. "He woke me up and told me to come here but he isn't even here." I pout and crossed my arms. I do have a bad feeling about this meet up.
"Come in after me [Name]." Both Hajime and Nagito came into view and he walked through the door first. "Okay I got him." Akane held Nagito in a choke hold. "Um what are you doing?" Nagito questioned them. I was about to run up and kick Akane but Nagito puts me to a stop.
"Don't judge us for this but we're going to tie you up." Fuyuhiko states as Nagito chuckled. "Let him go." I grunted. "No way [Name]. There's no use of struggling either." Kazuchi told him. "But I'm not struggling." Nagito's calm voice matched his body. "Why are you being so cooperative?" Fuyuhiko questioned him.
I didn't know what he was about to do but I knew I needed to get out the way. "[Name]." Nagito smiled at me signaling me over. "It's time for Jabberwock island to come to an end!" After he finished that I ran up to him and gripped tightly to him.
Next thing I know a huge explosion happened and everyone went flying. Nagito then filled the room with his manic laughter. "Amazing. This is amazing, despair is everywhere." I too joined in on his laughter. He's going to kill us all, Nagito will kill everyone.
"[Name] not you too." Hajime mumbled out. "I don't care if he kills me, being killed my someone you love is a type of despair I really want to feel. I can't even imagine what that's like." I smiled to myself. We die together then everything will be fine. I-I shouldn't have any hope for that or it won't happen.
"After all I'll just believe in my ultimate luck. In the end everything will work out." Nagito laughed once more as he left out the burning building. "For someone who wants hope out of anything, he sure brings a lot of despair. That's what I really love about him." My smile didn't fade.
"You know who the traitor is right." I giggled. "Of course I do Hajime, I'm a genius." I poke his nose. "Then please you have to tell us, I'm begging you!" Kazuchi begged me. I grab his chin lightly. "Oh if I told you would you finally believe me? That's real funny. This is what you guys get for never having faith in me as the ultimate guesser."
I let him go and skipped away outside. "I thought I was gonna have to pull you out of their myself, jeez." Nagito sighed and I smiled. "Oops, I was just setting despair into them." His face turns red a little. "Let's go to sleep." I agreed and dragged him to my cottage.
I glanced at the clock and it was a little before nine in the morning. I then looked over to see a sleeping Nagito and I couldn't help but smile. "Let's remember this moment forever." I quietly got up and put on my regular clothes before heading to get some food.
I walked through the doors of the restaurant to see it falling apart. Nevertheless I continued my way upstairs. "You should've woken me up." I stop halfway up the stairs turning around. "Sorry you seemed peaceful." He grabs me and pulls me into a hug. "Let's remember this moment also."
I was sure my body was hot. Did he really hear me say that? "Let's see what they're up too." Nagito makes his way up the stairs. "What can we do?" Sonia asked the group. "How troubling, if the traitor would just come forward, this problem would be resolved in no time." Nagito told them.
"When did you two get here?!" Hajime yelled. I just laughed. "Good morning. I came to motivate you guys since you're just laying around. Didn't I tell you yesterday that the bombs are set to go off in two days at noon? Well, you've got one day left. C'mon you better hurry."
Nagito then frowned at the group. "Or is this your limit? If so, it makes me laugh to think I ever called you the symbols of hope." Symbols of hope, why are we in that category? "I took the time to come bring you guys a valuable hint. Wouldn't it be bad if I changed my mind?"
I make my way to the kitchen to go eat a donut and drink some tea. "I need to relax them talking is just pointless." I munched down on the wonderful treat. "So you want me to help them?" Nagito sat next to me. "No not in the slightest." I continued to eat.
"You set up a lot of things while I'm sleeping, I don't like that." I mumbled to him. "Sorry, I just want to make sure everything is perfect. But I'll need your help with something later." My heart ache, I knew what that help will be. "Of course I'll do anything for you." I smiled and so did he.
"I should ask just in case, do you know the password to the ancient ruins?" I nod joyfully. "11-" He covers my mouth and tells me to be quite. "Oh that makes sense." I glanced at the monitor and stuck my tongue out at it. Nagito and I spent the rest of the day in the restaurant just in case the traitor wanted to chat, yet no one came forward.
I stood up and dusted myself off. "I should get going, you try to get some sleep too." I wave him goodbye as he did the same. I made my way out the restaurant and went to Hajime's room. "Knock, knock. Can I come in?" Hajime mumbled a yes and I saw him sitting on his bed. He looked exhausted.
"What are you here to taunt me too?" I sat on the sofa near his tv. "I just want to chat, it's been a while since we were able to." He sighed. "How is it that you both know so much and you're always ahead of us?" Hajime was staring at the ground. "Because we think things through from the start."
His despair felt wonderful it was making me happy again. "What are you both planning?" I laughed a little. "That's something I can't say, even I don't full know what he's going to do." It was my turn to stare at the floor. "You said you love him yesterday, is that true? And why?"
Confusion evident in his tone. "I really do love him. Why? Well because I remember a lot more than you guys even know about our shcool selves. Then there's the part where he never treated me horribly and he trust my talent. He made me feel happy, for once." Our eyes meet. "That's all I ever wanted from someone, and he gave me it all."
"So let's say if he dies that despair you always talk about will come true. Do you think that's going to feel great? I don't get why you would want to feel that in the first place." I thought about it. "I just never had someone love me, well only her I guess. But Nagito's love is different from hers."
Hajime sighed. "Who is this 'her' you keep talking about?" I laughed. "No one, it's no one." I stood up. "Well how do you have school memories? Why are you different from everyone else?" I shrugged. "Who can really say."
That's when it hits me, Hajime wasn't in my class nor was he in Junko's class. So why would a reserve student be here in the first place. "You're as special as me Hajime, you just don't know it." I leave out his cottage and return to mines thinking about how these next few days will play out.
"You stupid hope freak."
