30.
I sighed as I woken from my nap. "I wish Nagito was here so I could explain everything to him. He gets me." "It's not that we don't get you, it's hard to understand." Hajime told me.
Once again I sighed. "No matter what no one besides him listens to what I say. You guys push aside every fact I tell you, especially during the class trails." I sat up. "Yeah I'm guessing, but in my entire life, I've never been wrong. Do you guys have any idea how that makes me feel?"
I felt my smile crept up. "It brings me so much despair, the kind I get from being called useless." I squeezed my arms. "I-I hate..." I couldn't stop thinking about my family. How horribly I would get treated. The hope I held onto everyday yet no one saved me.
"It's why I killed them. They deserved it. Everyone deserved it." I felt despair consuming me. I didn't see why everyone thinks I'm pathetic. "Th-Then does that mean I should've killed you guys?" I stammered out the words.
"K-Kill us?!" "Hajime we should call Fuyuhiko and ask if the elevator is fixed. It's been two hours." Chiaki tells Hajime. "You guys... you guys are just like them..." I smiled. "Which means I'll kill you all." I began to laugh.
"Ah [Name]! What's wrong?" It sounded like Nagito's voice. Just then a pale face hovered over me. "You aren't like them, you believe me no matter what." I reach out to touch him, thinking it was a dream. "Oh you're here. You've must've done the final dead room."
Hajime and Chiaki spoke at the same time. "She's back to normal." He nods then turned to Hajime. "Why hello there, Hajime." Hajime was shocked. "Why are you here?" Nagito laughed. "Because I showed up."
Nagito then explained what he investigated in the strawberry house. "Also I've cleared the final dead room!" He shouts in joy. "You did the life threatening game?" Chiaki questioned him. He sighed. "It wasn't life threatening at all."
"I told you guys, I was so disappointed when I didn't die." I too sighed. "It was an escape game with a little Russian Roulette." Nagito added. Hajime questioned him. "It's where you put one bullet in the gun, spin it and point it at you." Chiaki explained.
I was shocked. "It was one bullet? I did five." "Ah, so that's how you're supposed to play it. So it would've been fine if I used one. Just as Monomi said."
"Ah?" Chiaki sounded shock. "I misunderstood and took one bullet out of the cylinder." Nagito cleared up. "My dad once said, 'Put in one and you're a chump, but add five and you're alive.'" I repeated the jingle to them. "What's wrong with you both? That's suicidal!"
Hajime of course yelled at us. "Well I wanted to die so I don't care. If I knew it would cause you guys despair I would've pull the trigger again." I lied down. "I held it to my head just thinking would you guys be sad I'm dead or happy?"
I laughed. "Who would've thought." "I was able to learn many things in there also. Like I'm able to move freely from both houses." Nagito informed the two. "Move freely from where?"
Nagito frowned. "You've been repeating yourself over and over and it's bugging me. Could you let me speak for a change?" Nagito snapped. "Anyway I obtained this amazing prize as my reward. It's a continuation of the file from earlier."
I just watched the mess unravel as Nagito spilled some beans. "I've even learned your talent." I then perked up. "Ah so you're finally gonna say it?" I asked Nagito and both Hajime and Chiaki was confused. "I also got this file, though it only contains Hajime's information not ours."
I was confused, did we receive the same file. Or was this just a plan of his? I closed my eyes so I could truly fill Hajime's despair. "Like I said, to be a reserve course student, you don't need to possess an ultimate talent. You just have to pay a large fee." He didn't need to be so blunt about it, that poor kid is devastated.
Chiaki and Hajime attempts to question Nagito but got nothing but more questions in the end. "Then while we're at it, I'll go ahead." I heard Nagito tell them so I got up and followed him.
"So Nagito you seen the way the building is? And all that other junk in the files right?" He nodded. "Then I'll tell you my theory on how Nekomaru died. I believe he fell to his death, but either Fuyuhiko, Gundham or Kazuchi caused it."
He was quite for a second. "The suspects makes sense and I'm going to assume you're right. Usually you always are." He smiled at me and I returned it. My heart was pounding. "You really do get me." "I hope that bring you plenty of hope [Name]."
As we gathered downstairs we saw the reminding boys. "Good job Kazuchi." I held out my thumb and smiled. "Ah! Ms. [Name] thank you!" "Did you do as I asked Kazuchi?" Nagito piped in. "Oh yeah but I think it's broken."
Nagito grunts. "I didn't ask for your opinion." I was intrigued by the way Nagito was talking to everyone now. He was feisty. "Well it rotate 180 degrees in the elevator." "Just as I thought. [Name] would you come with me?" I agreed and followed Nagito.
"Oh I see what you mean now." I watched as he looked around. I should enjoy being around him while I can. "Kazuchi since Mikan isn't around to perform an autopsy you should look inside of him." I hit my hand against my palm. "Why didn't I think of that?"
Then for some reason everyone seemed to be against that idea. I was about to give them the usual, 'Blah blah hope, blah blah despair' speech. But then Nagito shut everyone up and Kazuchi was over by Nekomaru.
"Ah, that was easier then I thought." I lightly punched his arm and laughed. I glance over to see a clock popping out of Nekomaru's chest. "7:30am? The alarm was set for that time." I turned to Nagito. "Any ideas smart guy?"
He lowered his tone. "I think someone set all the clocks in the house maybe two hours behind." He goes near his body and finds a doorknob underneath him. Maybe Nagito was a magician because I didn't find that earlier. Both handles were on that door so it must've came from grape house door.
"Well we don't have enough parts to fix the strawberry house door." I made eye contact with Nagito and knew what he would say. "We have plenty of parts right here. Just use Nekomaru." Nagito chuckled out. Hajime was against the idea. "Hajime it's the only way for you guys to understand what I told you before."
After that Kazuchi, Nagito and I went to strawberry house so Kazuchi could fix the door which he fixed quicker than I thought. "Nice work again Kazuchi." He began to get like Teruteru, it was disgusting. "Now we wait for the slowpokes."
Nagito smiled at me. "When I commit something I don't want you to be correct. You're going to help me so you can't give them any correct answers at all. Promise?" He held out his pinky. "Promise." I knew at some point Nagito would do something to risk his life. Though I wasn't really prepared for it.
"Let's test it out." Everyone gathered. "But you still didn't do anything about those chains, idiot it won't work." I sighed as Fuyuhiko spat out. "That's nothing important trust me. Oh! Unless you think my guess isn't trustworthy." I pondered to myself.
"You two sure are acting different." Fuyuhiko said. I shrugged as we went to the door. Everyone gathered around and I slapped the button as Nekomaru would. "Haha, it is funnier to slap it." The door opened and everyone beside Nagito and I were confused. Nothing new I suppose.
"Just as I thought [Name] and Nagito you knew about this already." Hajime tone was a little annoyed. "You have a bad habit of relying on others when you don't understand. Why don't you try investigating first?" Nagito told Hajime.
"Did I not tell you and Chiaki my theory before? You guys were like, 'I don't think that logical blah blah blah. Maybe you should start listening to me." I raise my voice at them, it was annoying to consistently have to repeat myself.
"You guys should take a look at the door maybe there's a hint." Everyone listens to Nagito and checks out the door. I too look at it and realized I once again was right. "It's a pain really." Though I still don't who the killer is yet, for once I don't know who.
Ding, dong, ding, dong. The melody once again rung. "Ah the class trail." The ground began to shake and a big Monokuma rock appears. "Come on Nagito let's get moving." Everyone but Hajime went in. Nagito seemed to be froze.
"We're the same, we are both stepladders. I always believed that I didn't mind. Unlike you I know my place." Nagito mumbled. He must mean Hajime. "What are you saying?" He questioned Nagito.
"That's why I was prepared to become a sacrifice at my time. And from that, true hope would be born." I hit my face and sighed. "Not this crap again." "But there's no hope to adjust all these killings."
Hajime shouts. "O-Of course not! What kind of hope comes from killing people!?" I stopped and thought about that. When I killed everyone, all I had was hope. A hope for- "Freedom. That's the kind of hope you can get from killing someone."
I paused. "Hajime and Nagito I'm gonna head in, don't take so long and ramble over and over Nagito." I went through the mouth of the Monokuma rock. "What's taking so long?" Kazuchi asked.
"Nagito and Hajime are just talking." I frowned. "Are you okay [Name]?" Sonia asked me. "Have anyone ever killed anyone here? Probably not right... so you guys would never understand how I feel."
"What you feeling guilty about something?" Fuyuhiko said slyly. I gave a small smile. "No, never that. Never that at all." "Then what?" He continued. "If you killed someone who held you captive, beat you more than you could imagine and lied to you so many times. What would you guys do? Would you kill them if given the chance?"
I look up at them. "You want us to answer?" Sonia spoke up. I nodded my head. "Well if that's my only way to escape then yes." Akane thought. Everyone else agreed. "Even if they were family?"
It was quite. The atmosphere went from yes to no. "See you guys couldn't understand me even if I say it bluntly." I pinched my eyebrows. "So that's what got me thinking, why don't I get everyone here killed. Then maybe you'd understand what I mean more." I thought to myself.
"A-Are you serious [Name]!?" Akane yelled. "Yeah, definitely." Nagito and Hajime then walks in shortly and we head down to begin the trial. "Good luck everyone." I smiled as I took my spot.
"Let's see who'll trust me."
