27.
Every time I sleep I have memories of the past. "I don't like it." I whispered to myself. I jolted up and looked around. "Aw cute." I say as I stretched my body.
"What is wrong with you two?" Kazuchi growled. "Welcome to the strawberry house!" Monokuma joyful voice shook the room.
"I thought this was the funhouse." Hajime said confusingly. "Allow me to explain."
Monokuma then pulls out some diagrams and explain the structure and rooms of the strawberry house.
"Final dead room?" I mumbled to myself. Maybe I should check out that place.
"The new motive is an escape game! I'll let you guys out when the next killing begins!" I sighed, though I wasn't surprised.
Everyone began to fall deep into despair which only brung my mood up. "How does gas even work on a robot anyway?" Kazuchi whined.
And for once he made sense. "If they activated my sleep mode then even I wouldn't stay awake." Nekomaru seemed like he was beating himself up.
He is a really nice guy. I mean he protected Akane twice from being killed by Monokuma I heard.
Protection... of course I could do it, but wou- Nekomaru grunts snapped me out of my daze.
"For now why don't we look for an exit." Chiaki said.
"Exit, is there even an exit? I mean if there was, this wouldn't be a closed space, right? It'd make Monokuma's motive meaningless." Nagito pondered.
"What are you giving up for dumbass! If we were brought here there's obviously a way out." Fuyuhiko shouted.
"I'm with Nagito on this one. Even if there's an exit, do you really think Monokuma would let us walk free?" I put my two cents in.
"Still [Name] we should look. But exploring on your own is dangerous, we should team up with someone." Chiaki added.
Akane and Fuyuhiko. Gundham and Sonia. Chiaki, Nagito and Kazuchi.
"I guess we're the leftovers. Looks like we're not very well liked." Nekomaru said.
"I wonder why Nagito didn't choose me? That makes me sad." Nekomaru lightly slaps my back. "Cheer up [Name] let's get to know each other."
I still held my frown but agreed. We began to check the rooms, finding strange things, yet no way out or clues.
"Hajime and [Name] let me know when you get thirsty." I was confused and I'm sure he seen that.
"I can pour two different sodas from my eyes." He cheered.
"Oh that's actually cool. However Monokuma says I can only drink water today." The boys face shown confusion.
"I'm being punished, along with Nagito. We can't eat anything today and we're only aloud to drink water." I pat my tummy.
"Though I've been down the path of not eating." "That's really bad [Name]. Why are you being punished?"
I knew Hajime would ask. "I broke curfew." An 'oh' was heard from them both. And we continued to explore.
Hajime and I explored the lounge, finding Gundham and Sonia. I see Hajime go to a phone and call someone.
"It has a grape on it." As Sonia was lecturing the boys I seen a picture of an old man.
"Hope's Peak Academy Founder: Izuru Kamukura..." That name doesn't match the photo.
Hajime then can over to me and looked at the photo. "Why is that name so hard to pronounce?"
After saying that he checked other places. Izuru Kamukura, his name comes out like a tune because of the many times Junko would say it. "Let it go."
I see Hajime back out of the deluxe room with Nekomaru. "Stop leaving me Hajime." He chuckled out a sorry and we head downstairs.
"Oh the final dead room!" I tried to go through it but then Monokuma blocked it.
"Allow me to explain. The final dead room is a challenge given to you by headmaster Monokuma.
Only those who win the life threatening game that occurs in this room will be able to reach the octagon, the fabled holy land where the ultimate weapon sleeps."
"Ultimate weapon?" I cocked my head sideways. "How stupid, who would do something like that?"
I glanced at Hajime and smiled. "I wanna give it a try." He gasped. "No, that's stupid. What if you die?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "I would love that." He sighed in defeat. "Everyone's a symbol of hope. They're all completely different compared to a quitter like me."
We turn the corner to see Nagito. Now that I think about it, I'm glad he didn't go with Hajime.
"I'm terribly sorry that someone like me is forced to be with everyone like this." He sulked.
"Hajime go talk to them while I chat with him." Hajime gave no second thought and left.
"So will you be doing the final dead room?" I ask him. He didn't say anything for a few seconds. "Maybe."
"Okay. Why are you in the corner being a baby and pouting?" My tone a bit sassy.
"Ah sorry am I bothering you. I'll leave you alone." I frowned and I felt the urge to punch him.
"Didn't I say no matter what we're in this together? So then act like it Komaeda and stop being a baby."
I then go back to Hajime in front of an elevator. He presses the button but nothing happens.
"Hey Hajime and Nekomaru I'm taking a wild guess but what if there's a grape house." Hajime let's out a nervous laugh.
"Oh and everyone is at strawberry tower, we should hurry." We move quickly to meet everyone else.
Nekomaru slams the button scaring me and a door opens to an empty space. "A grape door? This matches the elevator."
As Nekomaru used his full power he couldn't open the door. "Puhuhu." I laughed at the scene.
"Let's go back and discuss with everyone." Hajime bossed us around.
"That's strange strawberry house side? As if there's another building." I overheard Nagito talking to Monokuma.
"Then does this go somewhere else?" Hajime questioned. "That's right! To the grape house!" Monokuma laughs.
I hit my head. "Being the ultimate guesser is pretty scary, I'll tell you that." Hajime seems to be eyeing me while Nekomaru just laughed.
"How did you know [Name]? It's as if you're Monokuma or something." He didn't stop laughing.
"Meet you guys there." The bear took off. "Hey [Name] you aren't the traitor right?" Hajime asked me and of course everyone attention was caught.
"Why are you asking me this?" He tapped his chin. "Well when Nekomaru and I were by the elevator you said 'what if there's a grape house.' So that can't just be a lucky guess or a coincidence."
I glanced around and they all held the same expression. "It seems like I need to remind you guys that I'm the ultimate guesser again. I can guess an entire game by reading the title."
I frowned. "Hajime I could guess your date of birth, blood type and how many pounds you were after being born." I then glared at him.
"If anything I can guess and tell you your talent, but I'm not since I'm protecting you." I leave the group in anger and hit the elevator button to get on.
"Everyone is so stupid. Why can't anyone believe my talent?" Soon they all followed me into the quite elevator as we went to the grape house.
Of course the moment we stepped in there Monokuma explains the layout of the house, which is completely different from the strawberry house.
"Kill someone before you starve to death. So I hope you do it before you become weak." Monokuma disappeared again as he blasted these news out of nowhere.
"We should explore this place also. Same pairing?" Nagito commanded. Everyone agreed and headed off.
"Actually I'll be going by myself." I gave Hajime no time to come to me. "This place isn't as cute as the strawberry house. Green is such a disgusting color."
Same floor as before, I then head upstairs. "Everywhere looks the same, but the structure of the entire building is weird."
I just sat on the lounge chair, it was pretty quite not a single soul was around. "I'm so bored here." I wasn't even hungry yet, but being starved? It wouldn't be the first time.
"Hey Monokuma you there?" He pops out of hiding. "Yes [Name]?" I sat up. "You didn't lie about those files right?" He shook his head no.
"Thanks." I got up and headed downstairs, they were having another 'team' meeting.
I sighed and pressed the button. "Hey [Name] where are you going?" I heard Hajime shout. I just ignored the group and headed to the final dead room.
"Oh. The door locked behind me." I glanced around the ugly room. "It seems like we just need to solve some puzzles. How boring."
I frowned as I thought this would be a heartthrob experience.
I solve the puzzles mighty quick but then what I saw next got me excited. "A gun." I saw bullets on the table and knew what I had to do.
"What was the ratio dad use to say? Put in one and you're a chump, but add five and you're alive."
As I remembered the odd saying I loaded the gun with five bullets.
I closed my eyes and frowned. "By just guessing, this won't kill me." Without hesitation I pulled the trigger. I looked at the gun, staring at it.
"Maybe I should-" I put the gun up to my head and smiled wickedly. "Would this bring anyone despair? W-Would it bring me despair?!" My excitement could not be contained.
"Ah, no one would be sad. As they probably believe I'm the traitor." I sighed and threw the gun on the floor out of frustration.
"When did this open up?" I walked through the door and saw many weapons.
"Congratulations you've cleared the final dead room. Now you have these goodies to enjoy anytime. Puhuhuhu, and since you've done the hardest difficulty I have an extra gift." "I don't need weapons or anything." I told him.
As I was about to leave he pulls out a familiar file and a black book. "There's a lot of things you might want to look through. Bye!"
He quickly left. Before leaving I glanced through the pages.
"Oh so I was right Hajime has no talent. But what is the reserves course?" I continued to skim the book. "No way." I was lost for words.
"By looking over this is Chiaki the traitor? Though that's a bold guess." I closed the book and continued to look around.
"This height definitely contradicts a lot about the structure of the funhouse."
As I was leaving I continued to think where exactly we were at. "The lounge of the grape house? So that means strawberry house is above me?"
I then seen the girls and Hajime. "[Name] where have you been?" Sonia asked. "The final dead room." A few of them gasped. I stared at Chiaki and frowned.
"Well you're room is the standard room, we discussed it over already and now we're about to go to sleep." Chiaki yawned.
I nodded my head and wished them a good night. "[Name] can we please talk?" Hajime pleads. I just ignore him and head to my room.
"Let's get some sleep for now." I hid the book underneath my bed and easily drifted off into sleep because of the lack of energy.
