"[Name] why don't you stay home today and let your father and I handle it." My mother told me. "Stepfather." She sighed. "I know that but I bet they would be happy to be called an actual family name, not just the step part."

I am part of the Orion Conglomerate, my mother married the man who began it all. I have two stepbrothers and then my stepfather.

He's strict, I'm never aloud to say, go or do anything. "Okay mom same as always, I'll be here." I frowned. She kissed my head goodbye.

"I'm trapped here." I gotten accepted into Hope's Peak Academy but I'm not allowed to leave the house so I haven't met my dear classmates.

They've tried many times to convince my family but I wasn't allowed to attend. "This is stupid. I'm always here alone everyday, every second."

I felt my tears fall and the doorbell rang. "The maids will get it." I glanced out the window. There was two girls and a guy.

"I wonder what this is about." Just then the blond girl waved at me. I smiled and waved at her back.

"Lady [Name], we are sending up three guest, they come to discuss school work with you. Do not tell Miss and Mister."

Our butler warned me, I moved my lips in a zipper motion. After that he let them in.

"[First, Last name] nice to meet cha! I'm Junko Enroshima, this is Izuru and here's my trash sister."

I got a closer look and they were all strange. Plus I didn't get a good feeling from them. "Nice to meet you guys."

She hugs me. "You are just too cute." I pat a seat on my bed for her to sit down and she did.

"I want to make history, a killing one. Do you want to join?" I cocked my head to the side. "A killing history?"

"Yes I want to create a killing game with people from Hope's Peak Academy." I sighed.

"If it's a game, I could just guess the outcome. And that would be boring." I looked out the window once more.

"Even so my stepfather doesn't allow me out the house. And my mother is too afraid to go against him."

"We can take care of it." Izuru said in a bored tone. "You guys are going to kill them, that's what I'm guessing after all."

All of their eyes widened. "Don't kill my mother, she is the only person I love that is left in this world."

Junko smiled. "Everyone else." My tone held no remorse. "You can kill them as you please. Then I'll join your game."

She places her hand on my face. "You have such a different type of despair. It's truly beautiful." I only stared at her.

"Goodbye Junko, Izuru and the sister." They all left and I laid down and smiled.

"Will I finally be free? Or will I continue to be trapped?" Tears poured down my face, I didn't know if it was happy or sad. I drifted off into a slumber.

"[Name]! Wake up, we have to go!" It was my mother frantically yelling as alarms went off. "Why?" I tried to find her in the dark.

"Because they're dead! The guards, maids, butlers and our family." Her whimpers were loud. "Where will we go?"

My light flickers on and I see my mother with a knife in her hand and blood covering her body.

What was she doing? "Hey mom what's going on?" Her eyes were full of tears. "We'll join them." She began to swing the knife at me.

I can guess her movements if I just calm down. I took a deep breathe. "Mom just stop, we're free." She laughed historically. "You were never supposed to be free [Name]. Don't you get that?"

"What?" The knife grazed my left arm, nothing deep.

"You were supposed to be here forever, have people forget you existed. When you're father died, I wanted you to be dead that night but the plan failed. And your dad just had to play hero."

What was she talking about? "I wanted to get rid of you both so I could start over here. But I couldn't."

She killed dad? Nothing but anger rushed into my body. She lunged the knife at me.

"You think you're so smart with that pathetic guessing crap you do!?"

"Well if it was so pathetic." I use her hands to slit her own throat. "How did I guess your moves?" She dropped to the floor.

"I-I never loved you [N-Name]." That was the last thing she said before she died. "I always loved you mother... I think."

I sat on the ground, begging for some kind of hope. However it never came, the only thing that came was the despair walking through the door.

"Well that wasn't predictable at all. I like you [Name], like Izuru I can't predict anything you'll do." Junko's nonchalant voice broke the silence.

"Now let's head off, we should be able to get that game going perfectly." She grabs my hand and I get up following her.

"From now on [Name], you gotta understand hope will leave you when you need it the most. Despair is always there for you, no matter what."

I smiled. "Right."
