remember those times with the carefree love,
the times when everything was enough,
with the sun shining down on us,
and a rainbow halo of happiness placed on our heads.

it seems like forever ago
when we were truly free
no chains holding us back from letting us grow,
is it really what's become of us?
just mindless creatures that you use and throw?

when we're all done and buried in our graves
and our tombstones carry our names
will we really be happy
closed in a casket
the ghost of the past haunting us
thinking of what we could've been
what we could've had
what we could've done
and think did we really live our life enough?
