Estelwen (Alastegiel) POV

I was trying to get some sleep when I started to hear whispers. I thought nothing of it though. I just tuned whoever was talking out. “Pippin! Pippin! Help! Gandalf, help!" I hear Merry say. I hop up and see Pippin holding the plantir.

All of the sudden Aragorn and Legolas come in. Aragorn takes the plantir from Pippin, then it falls out of his hands. Gandalf throws a blanket over it and whips around. “Fool of a Took!"

Pippin is just lying there. Gandalf kneels beside him and takes his hand. “Look at me." Gandalf tells him.

“Gandalf, forgive me." Pippin says and closes his eyes.

“Look at me." Gandalf says. Pippin opens his eyes to look at him and Gandalf continues, “What did you see?"

“A tree. There was a white tree in a courtyard of stone. It was dead. The city was burning." Pippin answers.

“Minas Tirith? Is that what you saw?" Gandalf asks, urgently.

“I saw... I saw him. I could hear his voice in my head." Pippin says.

“And what did you tell him? Speak!"

“He asked me my name. I didn't answer. He hurt me."

“What did you tell him about Frodo and the Ring?"

~~~
“There was no lie in Pippin's eyes. A fool, but an honest fool he remains." Gandalf says. We are in the Golden hall talking about what had happened. “He told Sauron nothing of Frodo and the Ring. We've been strangely fortunate. Pippin saw in the palantir a glimpse of the enemy's plan. Sauron moves to strike the city of Minas Tirith. His defeat at Helm's Deep showed our enemy one thing. He knows the heir of Elendil has come forth. Men are not as weak as he supposed.  There is courage still, strength enough perhaps to challenge him. Sauron fears this. He will not risk the people's of Middle Earth uniting under one banner. He will raise Minas Tirith to the ground before he sees a King return to the Throne of Men. If the beacons of Gondor are lit, Rohan must be ready for war."
“Tell me, why should we ride to the aid of those who did not come to ours? What do we owe Gondor?" King Thèoden asks. I wish I could knock some sense into him.
“I will go." Aragorn says.
“No!" Gandalf says.
“They must be warned." Aragorn pleaded.
“They will be." Gandalf says and walks closer to Aragorn and whispers yo him, “You must come to Minas Tirith by another road. Follow the river. Look to the black ships." Then Gandalf turns back around and says to all of us, “Understand this: Things are now in motion that cannot be undone. I ride for Minas Tirith and I won't be going alone." Gandalf states looking over to Pippin. Then I know, Gandalf is taking Pippin with him.
~~~

I watch as Gandalf an g Pippin take off. Soon Merry and Aragorn join me. We all watch them riding off towards Minas Tirith. “He's always followed me everywhere I went since before we were tweens. I would get him into the worst sort of trouble but I was always there to get him out. Now he's gone. Just like Frodo and Sam." Merry says.

“One thing I have learned about Hobbits: They're a most hardy folk." Aragorn says.

“Foolhardy, maybe. He's a Took."

Hope you enjoyed it! :) If I have the time, I might update again tomorrow!!!
