Couple weeks later, Tony allowed her to go to school now. If she behave herself like she did. The other Avengers all thought that it was selcouth of him to do something like that. Even Hope. But they didn't think much of it.

It was the day of the talent show and Hope wanted to go, but unfortunately Tony wouldn't let her go. So she decided to sneak out.

After school, she sat in her room, manipulating the gravity of the pencil. Bored out of her mind. She waited vigorously for the right time to strike. But it turns out that no one was there but Wanda. Because they were going on a mission. So she slowly got up from her white bed and crept up to the door. And cracked it open very slightly and saw that no one was there. Hope smiled and went into her closet and grabbed a navy blue hoodie and jeans. She then walked out of the door.

She was in the clear to leave. Until someone clears their throat. Wanda.

"Going somewhere?" Wanda said as she grabs a water bottle. Hope then turns around to see her there. "Well?"

"I need to go. My friend needs me." Hope stated.

"Friend? You have a friend?" Wanda asks her. Hope nods.

"Huh. What's her name?"

"Penny." Hope said with a smile.

"Oh. Well, I'm glad you have someone. You know, me and my twin brother were close friends while we were little."

"You have a brother?" Hope asked, moving closer to her.

"Yeah. Well, had a brother. He died." Wanda frowns. Hope then places her fingers on her forehead and goes into her mind.

To see her and her family smiling as they eat their dinner. But then a missile hit the apartment, causing the death of their parents. But the twins stick together as partners. But after a long fight with Ultron, the brother died by taking a bullet for Barton and a kid. He died a hero.

Hope quickly pulls her hand away in the state of dolour for Wanda. She felt a connection with her the most. She felt for her the most. She was the one who got screwed over the most. They were both screwed over.

Hope had a tear in her eye so did Wanda. "I'm sorry for your loss." Hope sincerely apologized. Wanda cries and hugs her tightly.

"It's ok. At least he died a hero than a coward." Wanda smiled as she wiped her tears away. "Anyways, you can go."

"Really?" Hope said as Wanda nods.

"Go. Your friend needs you."

When she got there, she saw Penny in her blue leotard and a poofy tutu in her bun. So did Penny.

"Hope?!" Penny said gleaming with excitement. They then ran into each other and hugged. "You came!"

"Of course. You're my best friend." Hope smiled.

"Well, we have a problem. Come on." Penny said before they both went to MJ who was supposed to dance with Penny. But it seems like MJ has injured her knee. "She can't dance."

"Yeah, and I'm so sorry. This is my fault." MJ said, caressing her knee.

"No, it's ok. It's not your fault. Now I just need another girl to dance with." Penny said before they both look at Hope.

"What?" Hope said, dumbfounded.

"Hope, you have to dance with her! It's the only way to beat the bootleg version of the Plastics." MJ said, referring to the girls that bullies Penny in dance class.

"Yeah. You have to." Penny said, holding her hands. Hope notices it.

"Why me?"

"Because you can dance. Remember in the auditorium? Your dancing was good. And besides, all you need to do is just follow my lead. It's easy." Penny persuaded her. "Please?"

Hope sighed. "Fine."

"Yes. Thank you." Penny said hugging her.

"Yeah, you can wear my outfit." MJ said, as Penny helps her get up.

"Okay."

Hope and Penny both waited for their turn, looking at the bootleg version of the Plastics.

"Bitches." Penny groaned. Hope chuckled. "How can girls be such bitches?"

"Because they're mouth-breathers." Hope said turning to her. Penny chuckled.

"You watched Stranger Things?"

"What's that?"

"Never mind." Penny brushed off. The mean girls on the stage then left the stage, with the crowd cheering for them.

"Give it up one more time for Rachel Bowers and Liz Allan!" The teacher Ms. Miller said before the crowd cheered for them one more time as the girls walks off the stage. "And now for next our act, please clap it up for Penny Jones, Michelle, and The Metalheads!"

Before the Metalheads come on the stage, Penny went up on the stage and whispered to her ear. "Oh. Well, it seems like there been a chance of plans. Michelle will not be in this act. But someone is filling in her spot. The new girl Hope. So give it up!" Ms. Miller said before leaving the stage.

The Metalheads and the two girls went in the stage and went into position. Hope took a deep breath and waited for her signal.

As the song starts, the two started dancing. It started off slow. And as the song gets faster and upbeat, they moved along with the beat. Even the Metalheads started followed them. Some of the kids even went on the stage and dance with them. At the end, the girls did a cartwheel and posed.

The act got a standing ovation and had roses thrown to them. Hope, Penny, and the Metalheads took a bow. Ms. Miller went up to the stage with a trophy.

"I think this belongs to you guys." Ms. Miller said giving them the trophy. They gasp with excitement.

"Wait, we won?!" Luke asked her.

"Yup. Congrats, you guys." Ms. Miller said before leaving. The kids roars with excitement. They even started jumping up and down.

After the show, Hope and Penny changed back into their regular clothes and ran through the hallway. Penny felt the most jubilant. She finally proved the bullies wrong. Proved her dance teacher wrong. Everyone.

"I can't believe that we won!" Penny chuckled to Hope. "All because of you."

"You're welcome." Hope said before they both share a laugh.

"Hey, I wanna show you something." Penny said grabbing her hand. And they ran.

They stopped at an abandoned mansion, with green vines covering it. A dysphoria overtook Hope.

"Where are we?" Hope asks her.

"My secret lair." Penny joked with a smile. Hope looks at her with a raised eyebrow. Then giggled a little. "Come on."

When they went inside, it felt cold, dark, and old. Every time they move a step, the floor would make noises. Which frightened Hope. Especially when they went upstairs. It was like an alarm to her.

As they went upstairs, everything was dark. Penny walked away from her to a corner.

"Let there be light." Penny said before a pair of Christmas lights became on. There were sheets on the ceiling, posters of her favorite band "My Chemical Romance," and decorations.

"Do you like it? I did it myself." Penny asked Hope, who was speechless.

"Beautiful." Hope uttered softly.

"Oh, okay. Thank you." Penny said as Hope smiled.

"Why did you bring me here?"

"I want to talk to you. Tell you the truth." Penny said walking to the stylish couch and Hope sitting next to her.

"What is it?"

"When you had dinner with my family, what happened with you and my father?" Penny says as Hope frowns.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Hope brushes off.

"Hope. What happened?"

"I... I saw some things. Scary things."

"What scary things?" Penny asked. "Did... did my dad hurt you?"

"Did he hurt you?" Hope asked her back, with a raised eyebrow.

"How did you know?" Penny asked, with her head down.

"I saw the toys, Penny." Hope said closing her eyes. Penny gasps and stood up, running her finger through her brown hair.

"This is not be happening. This cannot be happening." Penny cried, pacing back and forth. She then smashed a glass to the ground. "Damn it!"

"Look, you cannot tell anyone, okay? This is our little secret. No one can know." Penny begged. "How do you know that he... used it on me?"

"I can't tell you."

"At this point, what can't you tell me?" Penny asked, with her hands on Hope's shoulder. Hope sighed and pushes her hands off her shoulder.

"Step back." Hope said as Penny walked away from her. Hope raises her hand to the soda can that was there for three weeks. And made it float all way to her hand. And gave it to Penny who was beyond speechless. And she then drops it to the ground.

"How? How, how, how? Wha?" Penny questions. "Are you a superhuman?"

"Why do you think that Captain America is my guardian?" Hope asked. Penny chuckled. "Are you scared of me now? Like everyone else?"

"What? Why?" Penny asked, confused.

"Because everyone else is. I feel like whenever I show my powers, people get scared of me. And it sucks."

"Well, I think your powers are pretty cool."

"Cool?"

"Yeah, it's awesome. I wish I could have powers."

"Really? It's nothing."

"Are you kidding me?! Do you know what you can do with your powers? You can lift me up in the blink of an eye. You can snap someone's neck without even moving. You have a gift."

"More like a curse. I wish I was normal." Hope sighed.

"What's normal? No one is normal. Everyone is flawed. Everyone has a weirdo in themselves. I'm a weirdo..." Penny trailed off by cafuné her. "Your hair is pretty."

"Thanks. Yours, too." Hope smiled. And Penny giggled. The two connect their eyes on each other. Full of verklempt and lust. Penny reached in and kissed her. And Hope liked it. It was her first kiss.

After kissing her, Hope was startled but is gleaming brightly. Penny, on the other hand, was shocked and regrets for doing that. The two had a very tacenda type of situation. Not a good one either.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have done that. God, why did I do that? Look, this can never get out. Understand?" Penny begged as Hope nods. "Great."

They both smile. In the corner of Penny's eye, she saw lights on in front of the building. So she went outside and saw a car, honking. Probably just some nobody, Penny thought. She looks even more to see a man with sunglasses. Tony Stark. Heading to the building.

"Oh, shit. There's someone who's trying to get in." Penny whispered to Hope.

"Oh, no. Tony." Hope frowns. "He's looking for me."

"Why?"

"It's not important. Now go and hide. I'll turn myself in." Hope pushing her into the closet.

"Are you sure?" Penny asked her going into the closet.

"I'll be fine." Hope said before closing the door. She then sighed and went downstairs to see Tony in his Iron-Man suit. Hope rolls her eyes.

"Friday, catching anything?" Tony asked his personal 'assistant' FRIDAY.

"Yes, there is a young female behind you. It's Hope." FRIDAY tells him before he turns around to see her. Hope then walks up to him and put her hands in surrender.

Tony sighed and grabbed them and head to his car. As he take her to the car, she kept her eyes on the abandoned building where she left Penny alone. Abandoned.

They got into the car and drove away. Hope started to cry silently for Penny. She doesn't want her to be hurt. She cares about her.

She loves her.
