Chapter 58: Caught 2-26-17
Aragorn: 17 years old
Whoever was holding him was strong and they clasped a tight hand around his mouth. Aragorn bit the hand and squirmed from whoever was holding him.
"Let go!" Aragorn screamed, his voice still sounding dry from his recent dehydration.
Aragorn landed one of his hands into the person's face and pushed back hard. They both fell off the horse and landed onto their backs. Aragorn had landed on top of the restrainer which had cushioned his fall a lot.
The person wrapped their legs around Aragorn, but he fought back. He grabbed their legs and yanked upwards bending the person's body in an unusual pose.
After that, the mystery person grabbed Aragorn wrist and twisted it. Aragorn yelped and started kicking his legs frantically. He felt so weak from the last couple days though that he was giving up strength.
"Be still!" the voice holding him down said harshly.
Aragorn got up and rolled away from the strange person who had attacked him. He put up his hands in defense and took one of his knives to his hand.
The person who had been holding him down was an Elf. Not any Elf that Aragorn recognized however. The Elf had long blond hair, bright blue eyes, a sharp perfect face, and was wearing a green outfit. Their voice held a faint accent to it, like no other Elf Aragorn knew from Rivendell.
"Who are you?" Aragorn asked sounding alarmed, as he still held up his knife.
"Drop it, human," the Elf said with an unkind tone to his voice, "Or I will shoot,"
With inhuman speed, the Elf took an arrow to his bow and pointed it to Aragorn's face. Aragorn's eyes bulged as he slowly tucked his knife away in his belt. Then he put up his hands in front of him showing the strange Elf that he meant no harm. He voiced this,
"I mean you no harm," he whispered, "Who are you?"
"You are coming with me," the Elf said.
"What?"
The Elf jumped forward and grabbed Aragorn by his arm fast. He started taking out Aragorn's knives from his belt. He put them in his on belt.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Aragorn asked and pushed back.
Before the Elf could search Aragorn any farther, another Elf burst through the trees. An Elf that Aragorn knew well. It was Lagorion.
"Let go of him, or your dead," Lagorion growled as he held his loaded bow to the other Elves chest.
"Lag?" Aragorn asked confused about why and how his friend had gotten there.
The Elf holding Aragorn let him go, and loaded his own bow again. He pointed it at Lagorion's chest. The Elves were having a bow and arrow faceoff.
"You wouldn't kill the prince of the Woodland Realm, would you?" the Elf with the accent stated firmly.
Prince?
Aragorn rushed to Lagorion's side and hugged him as he clutched his side. He was so happy to see him that his eyes started watering of joy.
"Let us go, in peace and we will forget we ever saw you," Lagorion said keeping his bow loaded.
"I think not," the Elf prince said, "The human comes with me. Do you want to come too, or die?"
Lagorion acted as if he were thinking over the question, but Aragorn knew exactly what he was doing. He was buying time and when he was ready he would pounce on the Elf prince. He did just that very thing a moment later.
He had let the arrow fly from his bow, missing the princes pointed ear by an inch. He drew his sword and slit the other Elves bow in half. It fell to the ground broken and unusable. The Elf was taken by surprise, but he too let his arrow fly and drew his sword. The two Elves fought sword to sword for a while.
Aragorn knew Lagorion wanted him to run, but his feet were planted to the ground. The forest was affecting him in its sick way again making his stomach hurt and is head whirl. He looked around for Tarish, but he was nowhere in sight. Neither was the Elves horse that had run away in a fright.
He fell to the ground and curled himself into a ball as the forest felt as though it was closing in on him. He suddenly felt very claustrophobic.
He could no longer hear the sound of clashing swords or the screams of Elvish. He lay on his back looking to the sky, only he couldn't even see the sky. It was covered by the trees branches and leaves. The next thing he felt was somebody at his side. Aragorn's eyes were slightly open as he looked into Lagorion's gentle worried eyes.
Aragorn guessed Lagorion had wounded the other Elf and was coming over to him for a second to make sure he was okay. Lagorion put a jug of water into Aragorn's open palm and then got up again to fight off the Elf.
Very weakly, Aragorn rolled to his side and put the water to his mouth. He drank it all in one gulp and was satisfied. He hadn't had real water in so long and it felt so good to have it once more. Aragorn turned to the fight in front of him and saw the most horrible thing ever.
The Elf prince was above Lagorion, who was unconscious, with his sword about to come down on him.
"Stop!" Aragorn screamed with all the strength he had left in him.
The Elf looked to Aragorn with hate in his eyes. It made Aragorn nervous and uncomfortable seeing his eyes staring at him like that. They were so filled with anger and had a bright blue shine.
"Please don't hurt him," Aragorn said quietly pleading, "He is my best friend,"
He crawled over to Lagorion and hugged him as he buried his face in his chest. As he looked up to the prince again it almost looked as if he felt bad, but it quickly got brushed off as he sheathed his sword.
The Elf grabbed Aragorn and pulled him to his feet. Then he bent over and looked to Aragorn in the eyes and said,
"You come with me, or I will kill your friend,"
Aragorn gulped and nodded slightly his eyes still bulging in nervousness. He peaked over to Lagorion one last time before the Elf dragged Aragorn away from his friend.
"Where are you taking me?" Aragorn asked.
"The Woodland Realm to see my father, the king," the Elf replied.
"And your name?" Aragorn said as he looked up to the Elf.
The Elf pulled Aragorn on even harder as he looked into the boys frightened eyes and said,
"Legolas,"
A/N: Anyone expecting that! I know there were some pretty close predictions in the last few chapters. :D
