"Okay, good night guys." I waved at the boys as it was custom for the men in our group to make sure all the women get home safely before heading home themselves. "We should party again!" Luffy chuckled loudly, how he had so much energy this late at night impressed me. "We will." I giggle as Ace and Sabo begin to direct Luffy away from my house; Zoro and Sanji already butting heads about something as they followed the trio down the street. I let out a soft sigh as I unlock the front door and open it, gasping out "Bepo!" Our dog had decided to answer the door when I opened it, knocking me completely off my feet and onto my ass. His tail wagged rapidly as he barked, licking my face as if I had just doused my skin with his favorite steak sauce. "Bepo...!" I laugh and try to push the big lug off of me. "I'm happy to see you too." He moves forward and plops himself right on my lap, nudging my face with his big head. "Your in a playful mood." I scratch at his big belly, stuck in the doorway.
After a few minutes, I finally pushed Bepo off me and stood up, closing the front door and locking it. "Okay Bepo, it's been a long day, time for bed." I patted his head before checking his water bowl. "Did Daddy remember to take you for a walk?" I glanced over at Bepo, who padded after me and just gave a small wag of his tail. "That's good." I set his bowl down before making my way down the hallway and into the bedroom. I kicked off my shoes and dropped my keys on the dresser before flopping onto the bed. "Fae~ya, that you?" Law mumbled from under the covers. "Yeah." I mutter back before rolling over to take ahold of Law's hand, drifting off to sleep.

"Babe~ya, it's time to get up." Law whispered softly as his hand placed on my shoulder, slowly rubbing down my arm. I let out a soft groan as I cracked open an eye, "Morning already?" I peek out of my open eye to see a smiling Law, a tray sitting down in front of his lap. "Yes, it is." He chuckled softly, "Also I decided to make you breakfast." I yawned and stretched before slowly sitting up in bed to look at what was in the plate. Bacon and eggs, along with a piece of French toast; which I found amusing as Law absolutely detests bread. "Mm~ Looks good." I grin as he leaned over to give my cheek a kiss, "I love you." I blush dark, "I love you too." Any sense of romance always made me blush. I cut a few pieces of the egg apart before eying Law, "So what is special about today?" "What do you mean?" He questioned in a playful tone, giving me a teasing look. "The only time that you make breakfast is when there is something important happening, like on our anniversary or on my birthday; which I know today isn't either." I reply as I take a bite of toast and he gives a bit of a shrug, "Maybe you should just wait and see~" "Babe~" I groaned, "Can't you just tell me?" "That would ruin the surprise." He grins before making his way back out of the room, probably to clean up the kitchen. I lean over to the nightstand and grab my phone to text Robin. If today had some holiday she would definitely know.

Ugh, I'm at a total lost. Is there any special occasion today? Sent at 9:00 am.

Not today, why what's up? Received 9:00 am.

I frown a bit and rack my brain as I reply.

Law made breakfast. Sent 9:02 am.

Maybe it's a surprise? Received 9:02 am.

Man she was fast at texting.
I stared at my screen as I tried to figure out what to say in response. I wasn't sure what to really say.

Maybe. 😖 I'll let you know. Sent 9:09 am.

Sounds good. Received 9:10 am.

I set my phone down and finished breakfast. I put on a loose fitting t-shirt over my sports bra and then tugged on some denim shorts. I grabbed the plate and the tray before making my way into the kitchen to see that even the house looked spotless. "Do we have guests coming over?" I tilt my head in confusion as I set down my plate and tray on the counter. "I decided to clean the house. I know you usually do all the work on top of your own job." Law spoke up and I smiled warmly, "That's so sweet of you." He turned to give me a smile before he continued the dishes. "I think I will go on a quick run." I began to tie up my hair and looked over at Bepo, "You ready, Buddy?" He barked and waved his tail as he danced around the kitchen table. I giggled as I walked over to grab his leash and then turned to Law, "I should be back in about 20, is that alright?" I clipped the end on Bepo's collar and Law grinned at me, "Sounds good." He walked over, after drying his hands and placed a sweet kiss on my cheek. I blushed and then look away, "I'll be back. Come on Bepo!" I head over to the front door and we both exit.

I stopped to rest against the stop sign that sat at the end of the road as Bepo sniffed around the neighboring lawn. I looked down at my fluffy baby as he wanders around, I bent down to his level, "Do you have any idea why Daddy is acting so strange?" He looked up at me and his tail wagged slightly as hus long pink tongue just rolled out of his mouth, giving me a smile. "So you do know, you just won't tell me?" I gave him a pout, "What if I bring you your favorite snack?" He trotted over and nudged his wet nose against my cheek, a soft whine leaving his lips. "Is that unfair? Should I not tempt you?" I rubbed his fluffy head. "Who-" I jumped and spun around to face Ren and a small girl, "-are you talking to?" I place a hand on my chest to calm my racing heart, "Oh...just Bepo." I gesture down to the giant, fluffy, dog standing off to the side of a fire hydrant. "Awe~!" The little girl cooed as she danced over to him, "What a cutie pie~!" She started to smother him with pats and kisses. Bepo took her onslaught like a champ; his tail wapping around like a dangerous weapon. I giggled slightly at his excitement. "Where did you get such a big dog?" Ren voiced and I turned to her, "Well, my boyfriend found him many years ago wandering the streets. After coaxing him over and feeding him some jerky he had; they took to each other like bees do to honey." "Ah, that's so nice of him." She smiled warmly. I nodded, "Yeah, when I first came around Bepo was quite the jealous little thing. He didn't like that I was stealing all of Law's attention. He made it his mission to try and get me into as trouble before Law sat down to have a talk, explaining that I didn't replace him in any way." I didn't realize she would be so easy to open up to. "Can we keep him?" The little girl chimed in as she hugged Bepo tightly. "Oh no, Darling, he already has an owner." Ren spoke softly. "We can get our own dog at the shelter." "But I don't want a shelter dog, I want Bepo!" She started to whine, stomping her foot and preparing crocodile tears. Never in my life had I actually come across a spoiled brat. I turned to her, "I'm sorry Sweetie but Bepo isn't for sale." I tightened my grip on the leash and then pretended to glance down at a watch I didn't have, "Oops, looks like I am going to be late." I cleared my throat, "It was lovely talking to you." Ren gave me another warm smile as she plucked her daughter from Bepo and nodded, "Yes, yes. We should get together sometime for a drink." "Sounds good." I smiled back and then tugged at the leash, "Come on Bepo, let's head back." He gave a small woof and began to trot back towards home. I glanced back to see Ren bent down to her daughter, most likely explaining more about why she couldn't just have my dog.

I shook my head as I unclipped the leash and frowned slightly, "What a strange encounter." "What was strange?" Law asked after letting out a small oof from when Bepo collided against his knees, nearly knocking the tall man over. "I bumped into Ren and her daughter. The child was quite upset to learn that she couldn't just have Bepo." I explain and Law frowned, "Hm." He seemed deep in thought and I tilted my head, "Something wrong Love?" His golden orbs met mine and I could feel the air leave my lungs at their beauty. "I have a bad feeling about that. It's not the first time that little one has cried over Bepo." He tapped his chin, mulling over his own thoughts before he gave a shrug, "Well I guess it's nothing to worry about unless something actually happens." I was a little shocked at his words, "I think she is just a little too spoiled. It seems Ren is trying to straightened her out though." "Anyway," Law clapped his hands, "We have quite the busy day, today, so off to the shower with you and wear something little bit fancy." He moved behind me and gave me a light push, "Okay, okay, I'm going!" I giggle at his actions and make my way into our bedroom, catching sight of fresh clothes laid out on the bed. The blouse was one that I was unfamiliar with. It was black with little white polka dots all over it, next to it laid my denim jeans that I only wore out on special occasions, like the Newgate Family picnic. I purse my lips at the small clues before glancing to the side to see my lacy black and hearts undergarments. I bought this matching set a long time ago and had yet to wear it. He must have something provocative in mind. I gather the clothes and try to ignore the heat rushing to my face as I sort of stumble to the bathroom. After putting on the cream colored flats, I headed out of our bedroom and back into the livingroom, "Did you buy this blouse, I don't recall buying it." Law turned to me. He was wearing a black short sleeve button up that was only buttoned to about his lower abdomen showing off his chiseled chest and his glorious tattoos that covered his chest and arms. His jeans and hat matched my blouse with the little polka dots and I giggle just slightly. "I figured you wanted to match." He admits sheepishly, glancing away so he can't meet my soft gaze, "I love it, but..." His eyes meet mine as I move closer to him. "But...?" His voice carried a little bit of disappointment. I grab his shirt and begin to button it up, "As much as I enjoy looking at your gorgeous body, I don't want to be fighting off ladies with a stick~" I teased and he blushed dark, "Ah! Right..." He turned to look at anything else and I giggle again before pulling him in for a soft kiss, "So where are we off to?"

I glanced around the fancy restaurant with a look of awe, "I feel so out of place." The restaurant was a large building and looked sort of average on the outside but once we walked in, I let out a small gasp of surprise. The inside was a mix of brown and bronze gold that just seemed to melt together. It reminded me of a ballroom but full of tables and food. There was a soft buzz of chatter from all the other people that was eating here as well. "How did you even get reservations?" I turn back to Law as he sets down the menu, "I pulled a few strings." He gave me a small smirk. "You have strings to pull?" I raise a brow as he feigned hurt, pretending to clutch at his chest and scoffed slightly, "How dare." I giggled and rolled my eyes before turning my head to watch a waiter walk over towards us. He stood straight and wore a pressed tuxedo with a white towel hanging from his arm that sat in front of his stomach as his other hand rested behind his back. He gave us a warm and friendly smile, "Good evening Madame, Monsieur," And curtly nodded his head with the greeting. "What may we start you with?" "Good evening." Law closed his menu and pushed it aside slightly "We would like to start off with a Crudité platter and a bottle of your finest Romanée Conti." The words that came out of his mouth confused me; they sounded so expensive. "Of course sir." The waiter wrote down in his little notepad before collecting our menus and walking away. "Are you sure we can afford this?" I leaned slightly over the table a bit, lowering my voice as if everyone was judging us. "Of course, I have been saving money for this occasion." Law patted my hand a bit to comfort me. I sat back in my seat and looked down at the lit candle sitting next to the little fake flowers, "If you say so." I couldn't help the slight doubt that laced my words and shifted a bit. "Should I not have chosen such a place?" Law asked me, his face changed back to his more neutral look. He wasn't one for showing emotion in public. "No no!" I sit up and waved my hands slightly, "It's lovely, honest! I'm just not used to the pampering-...uh! What I mean is..." I trail off as I try to gather my thoughts. "You are a little out of your comfort zone." He finished. "That obvious?" I let out a nervous chuckle. It almost felt like our very first date again. The nervousness that gathered in my stomach and I clutch the hem of my shirt, fiddling with it. "Maybe just a little." The corner of his mouth twitched slightly into a smirk. "The museum was enjoyable though." I thought back to the first part of our day. "That paintings with the lady in the red hat was glorious! The way she was painted, her eyes held so much emotion! So much love for whoever was painting her." I let out a dreamy sigh, as I thought about it. "Should I start learning how to paint?" Law asked. "Law!" I gasped out softly, blushing dark, "That woman was naked!" "So?" He shrugged his shoulders. "So!?" I repeat, resting my arms across my chest, "I-I..." The words died on my tongue as the waiter came back and set down a round platter of vegetables and little square bowls of dip. He sat down two champagne glasses and then began to pour the liquid into Law's glass and I tensed a bit. Alcohol. Why? I squeezed my fingers underneath the table and took in a deep breath, "Uh...Law...?" I reached for my empty glass and slightly tugged it away from the, now, confused waiter. "I don't drink." My voice came out soft and I could feel each word tremble through my lips. "Oh?" He asked, I could see the surprise in his eyes, "I didn't know that." "Well you aren't much of a drinker so it never came up in normal conversation." I start to explain. "Robin usually helped me to avoid the Newgates, and Zoro, constantly trying to challenge me to a drinking contest." "If it's because you're a light drinker, I can suggest a much better option." The waiter added his two cents and I gave him an awkward smile, "It's more of a personal thing..." "A glass of water will do just fine." Law spoke up and the waiter took my champagne glass, "I will be right back with water for the lovely lady." And with a swift turn, disappeared to the other side of the restaurant. "You don't drink?" Law asked, his voice was timid as he tested the waters. "No. Not anymore." I fiddled with the platter, grabbing at a carrot to dunk in the dipping sauce, "After very personal events, I became a bit of an alcoholic." I let out a breath, trying to ignore the goosebumps that suddenly flood over my anxious body. My heart felt like it was thumping way too fast and way too hard against my chest. I swallow thickly pass the lump forming in my throat. I thought explaining this to someone I loved was supposed to be easy? Why does it feel like I'm fighting for air?? "You're sober now?" The next question was the question every alcoholic got. I was afraid to look up and meet his eyes. Was he going to judge me? I'm sorry Law, I'm not the perfect girl you thought I was. "I've been sober for a little over two years." I answer. A warm hand enveloped mine and I glance up to meet Law's soft gaze, "Congratulations on two years." I couldn't see any kind of hatred that I had seen in other people's eyes. "Thank you." I smile, letting out the breath I didn't know I was holding. "So," I clear my throat, "What else do you have planned for tonight?" "Ah, oh no, you don't." He gave me another smirk, "Just because the moment became soft doesn't mean I am going to tell you the rest of the surprise." "Awe! It was worth a shot..." I gave a shrug and took a sip of my water. The tension I felt began to melt away as we relaxed back into normal conversation.
