Misaki's Pov.

The second floor opened up for us as we began to roam around to look for some clues and obtain information.

I saw Togami pressing the keyboards of the laptop as Kirigiri was beside him trying to figure out how to open the malfunctioned device

"--This seems to be broken,"

"--If this could connect to the internet we'd be able to obtain a lot of useful resources,"

Really, why do we have to be stuck in this place in the first place? You can't even let down your guard for a second because someone might come and kill you when your resting.

I started to ignore them and toor of my attention at them as I started investigating on my own by roaming around the library where we all at.

Suddenly, a book title called: Death Note caught my eye as I stretched my arm to the book that caught my interest but I can't seem to reach it because of my short height.

"What are you trying to reach, Misaki-kun?" Ishimaru asked as he appeared right beside me.

"That book with the title: Death Note, the book cover is violet," I said as I described the appearance of the book.

He stretched his arm and grabbed the book from the tall shelf and hand it toe with a smile on his face.

"Is this the one your looking for?" He asked me as I nodded in reply, I grabbed the book from his grasp as I opened it and flipped the pages.

"What's with that book title, creepy."

"I know, but somehow it caught my interest and wanted to read this book."

I started reading the verses as I was expecting to read Kanjis but except the pages were filled with nothing but music notes, it made me confused why the labels are like that.

"--Don't speak crap like that, this isn't a game, you bastard!" I turned around to see Ohwada yelling at Togami.

"--A game is a game," Togami said as I rolled my eyes and ignored them once more as I kept reading this book in my hand.

'This notes are confusing... I wonder where this leads, I'm kind of interested in what doors this thing might open.' I thought while flipping some pages, then I saw a sentence translated in Japanese.

I turned to see the next page as I gasped... the pages were blank sheets, empty, I began to flipped the next pages that comes after but the rest were blank as well.

'What does this mean? How would I able to play without the notes?' I gritted my teeth, looking for answers.

"It's obvious that you guys are just to convince each other—so obvious!"

That damn bear came on the TV, and soon after it dimmed out, I started to shut the book an decided to read it later when I'm alone and the place is peace and quiet.

"--Have you started the friendship game again?" Togami huffed, this guy just likes to spark up problems, doesn't he? Good grief....

"--Alright, I've decided—I'll kill you!"  Ohwada growled as he acted by his feelings, disregarding his brain.

"--Stop it, don't fight!" Ishimaru said as he calms him down, Ohwada pushed him out of his way.

"--Hey, calm down! Fighting won't solve anything!" Pretty words from Asahina.

"--Anyways, I'm not interested to mingle with you people." Togami said as he walked out of the room, then Fukawa was shaking.

"--Togami-kun is right... you guys think that it's better for me to disappear don't you?!" She said as she ran out as well, as we sighed.

"--Her imagination is above fantasy,"

"--She's thinking too much,"

"Well, they say: Imagination is a powerful thing." I said as I joined the conversation, we sighed.

"--Hey, let's go and swim, it might help us feel better."

"--You're right,"

"--Then, shall we go?"

"Uh, I'm gonna pass—" Before I could even protest, Asahina grabbed my wrist.

"--Nuh-uh, your coming with us, Misaki-chan!"

"--Yes, the more the merrier."

And with that, I was dragged by them to the Female's Changing room...

I opened the doorknob to the room, but it doesn't seem to budge or move making me confused.

"It's no use, it's locked..."

"Please use your digital notebook in order to open the changing room, males could only enter male changing room and females can only enter the female changing room!"

"--What if someone enters while someone else opens the door?"

"I will punish them with a gatling gun if someone dares to do that!"

"--We'll get hurt if we got hot by that thing, you know!"

"--Wouldn't we die?"

"Then what happens if we borrow someone else's digital notebook?" I asked as Monokuma gasped.

"I didn't think that far ahead, I will add a rule: lending one's digital notebook is prohibited! I must be a genius in thinking of this~"

"Um... but I was the one who thought of it y'know—"

"Then, see you again!"

He didn't let me finished as the TV turned off as we sighed while looking at our digital handbooks.

"His appearance ruined the mood," I said as they nodded in reply, then I noticed something was missing.

"It's gone... no way," The Death Note book that I was holding earlier is gone.

"--What's wrong, Misaki-chan?"

"I'm going back to the library start without me!" I hurriedly said as I ran back to the library to get the book.

'Geez... how come I forget it?!' I mentally cursed myself, forgetting that something else was missing.

I bumped at someone along the road, I looked up and saw Naegi sitting on the floor, rubbing his forehead.

"You really like to bump into me, don't you?"

"But your the one who—"

"Shut up!" I said as I stood up and started walking away, leaving him on the ground.

"W-Wait, where are you going?!"

"To the library,"

"I'm also going there, but the library isn't that way... it's this way." I flinched when he said that, I quickly turned to his direction and started walking way.

"I-I know that, you don't have to tell me—I was going this way anyways!"

"It seemed to me that you're going to the other direction,"

"Y-You're wrong, I'm not!" I growled while my cheeks are flushed red, then I heard him lightly chuckled.

"You're really bad with directions, aren't you, Misaki-san?"

"S-Shut up! I'm going now,"

"Wait for me—let's go together,"

"Not a chance,"

We entered the library as he was at my back, the room was dark but still we walked inside not minding the darkness.

"Fukawa-san?" He said as he was referring to the girl who was stalking Togami in silence.

"--Hey, what are you two been doing there since earlier? You're bothersome, leave!" He must be referring to us.

"And you, take a bath—you smell." He must be referring to Fukawa.

Fukawa gasped as Togami was irritated while he was reading the flash fictions he found earlier in this library when were investigating.

"--Don't make me repeat myself, your stink will spread!" Togami said as Fukawa sighed in reply.

"Hey Trashy Togami, have you seen a colour violet book entitled: Death Note?"I asked as I walked towards him, he pissed me off... no normal girl would be so please to be called like that y'know!

"W-What did you call me...?" 'Ugh... he snapped, my bad.'

"Trashy Togami, so have you seen it or not?"

"Your ill-mannered Misaki, do you expect me to answer you politely?"

"Hurry up and answer my question, your making this conversation longer, so yes or no?"

"No, now leave..."

"How about you Naegi, Fukawa, have you two seen a book entitled with: Death Note?"

"--N-N-No... I haven't s-seen it,"

"--No, sorry."

I clicked my tongue as I lowered my head and started to find that damn book, that book might be helpful in our escape you know!

"Why do you want to find that book, Misaki-san?"

"Just because~" I said while finding the book, I'm so not giving up.

"T-T-That's unusual... for y-you to find a u-useless b-b-book!"

"Tell me about it, but—I need to find it no matter what, I have a feeling there is a riddle behind it." I said, still finding the book in the dark.

Then I felt someone beside me, I turned to see Naegi finding a book, he turned to me and smile as I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What are you doing, Naegi?"

"Finding that book! The chances of finding it with 2 people is greater than one, right?"

"Right... but why?"

"I just wanted to help you, that's it." I smiled as I let him do what he wants while I proceeded in finding the book.

"U-U-Um... Misaki-san, if you wouldn't m-mind—I can h-help," Fukawa asked me, as I just grinned and nodded happily.

In the corner of my eyes, I could see Naegi's cheeks tinted colour pink, why was he blushing anyways?

Minutes have passed since we were finding that damn book, it was kind of tiring to find it in the dark.

"It's not here..." I was now getting worried that I let a book like that escape from my grasp.

*Thud*

Someone softly slammed the book on my head, I turned to see Togami's cerulean orbs on me, he was holding the book that I was trying to find.

"I believe this is the book you're trying to find, yes?"

I quickly snatched the book from his hands as I looked at it for a moment, it's true... it's the real deal! 

"You're right, how did you found it?"

"It was laying on the ground, jeez... how troublesome can you be?" I thought he has a sharp tongue, and I was never wrong... despite that, his kind of nice, that's unexpected.

"Know that you've found the book your looking for, leave—take that girl with you." Togami commanded while pointing at Fukawa.

"Yeah, whatever Trashy Togami." I nonchalantly said as I walked towards Naegi and Fukawa.

"H-Hey, is that how you show your gratitude?!" He yelled.

I turned my head as my back was facing him, I gave him my sweetest smile and grinned.

"Thank you, Togami." And with that, we left the library, leaving him alone,
when we exited the room, Fukawa glared at me causing me to flinch.

"P-Please don't tell m-me your stealing Togami-kun away from me?!" She blurted as I was shock.

"What do you mean...?"

"D-D-Don't play dumb with m-me!You l-like him, do y-you?!"

"Me? Like that bastard? Of course not... he's not my type,"

"I-If that's the c-case... don't t-t-talk to him! Got it?"

"Yeah sure, that's not a difficult task at all... my pleasure." With that, she left me and Naegi alone. I noticed that Naegi was really quiet.

"Hey Naegi, you alright?"

"I was just thinking of something," 

"What is it?" I asked as he averted his gaze away from me which made me curious.

"It's nothing important,"

"I-I see... if you say so," I said as I didn't question further, I lift my heels and started to march when he spoke.

"I was thinking that... what if I was killed like Maizono-san was, if that happens—who will avenge her and Kuwata-kun's death?"

The death of those two really get into him, huh? Can't blame him... he and Maizono were close buddies since the first day, I just smiled softly.

"I promise that I'll avenge everyone's death, so don't worry." I made a vow to him.

"Misaki...san?"

I began to walk ahead of him as I could feel him staring at my back, his really scared in this situation—who wouldn't be?

"Even if you were to die, I would fulfil the promise I made with you."

I turned to him with seriousness in my eyes, I wasn't joking in what I just said, when I made promise... I'll do my best not to break it.

"Some of us might die someday, but... what they believed in will never fade away as long as someone protect it." I decided that I'll be the protector and avenge everyone's death.

"Yeah, I also promise you—even if you were to die right now, I will fulfil that promise as well!"

"Don't go and kill me right now!"

"T-That's not what I meant—There is now way for me to kill you!"

"I know, I'm just kidding Naegi!"

'I would surely... no doubt, will protect everyone's will and avenge their deaths!'
