CHAPTER 16

Ben puts his crown on as Mal lands in front of the window before she is covered in purple smoke again. Mal emerges in a dress similar to the one in the window. Ben laughs as Mal pats out some smoking parts on her dress. Mal smiles before bowing to Ben, who bows back. Mal is escorted down the stairs to where Evie is now waiting.

"So, I did not know that I could do that," Mal says with a smile.

"Tell me about it. That makes two of us," Evie tells her with a smile. Mal's dress is still burning so Evie quickly blows it out.

"Shall we?" Evie asks.

"We shall," Mal answers as she grabs Evie's hand. "Hi." Mal smiles at Ben as she is led to him. Once Mal is close enough, Ben pulls her to him before kissing her.

"All right, all right, all right, all right," Carlos says with a smile as he slightly pulls Ben back.

"How about that son of mine?" Beast asks Belle.

"Ours," She corrects.

"Ours," Beast agrees.

"How about my daughter?" Belle asks him.

"Ours," Beast corrects.

"Ours," Belle agrees.

"And how about his girlfriend?" Belle asks him. "I think we're in very good hands here."

"Very good hands," Beast agrees before kissing her hand.

"I owe you guys so much," Ben says before everyone agrees. "If there is anything that you need, or anything I can do for you..."

"Um, actually, there is, Ben. I know a girl who would really love to come to Auradon," Evie says before sharing a smile with Bree and Mal. "It's Drizella's daughter, Dizzy. She's like a little sister to me."

"Then she should come," Ben says.

"Okay! Okay, great!" Evie says excitedly. "Actually, um... Ben, there's a lot of kids who would really love it here in Auradon. Kids just like us, who also deserve a second chance. Can I maybe get you a list?"

"Yes, yes! Absolutely, please," Ben answers and everyone cheers.

"M'lady Mal, we found your spell book below deck. Uma had it," An usher says as he walks forward.

"Ooh," Mal says as he hands her the book. "Um... You know, this seems like the kind of thing that belongs in the hands of Fairy Godmother. Fairy Godmother?"

"That's me, thank you," Fairy Godmother says as she walks forward.

"This belongs in the museum," Mal says as she hands it to Fairy Godmother.

"It does, yes, and I'm gonna take it," Fairy Godmother says.

"Go for it," Mal tells her before Fairy Godmother walks away. "I'm not gonna be needing it anymore." Ben smiles at Mal before she kicks water at him with a giggle. Ben then kicks water back at her before she turns his crown to the side.

"Looking back at yesterday

I thought I gave it everything

But still there's so much road ahead of me," Ben and Bree sing as Ben, Bree, and Mal look out at everyone.

"When I looked into your eyes

I guess I didn't recognize

Who we are and all that we can be" Mal sings as she looks at Ben.

"Sometimes it's hard to find yourself

But it's worth it in the end

'Cause in your heart is where it all begins," Mal, Bree, and Ben sing as the boys line up in rows beside rows of girls.

It starts with you and me," Everyone sings as they dance with their partner and even switch partners occasionally. Ben and Bree go to the top of the stairs and look out at the Isle.

"There's something special that I've learned

Everybody's got something they can bring," Bree and Ben sing while Evie, Carlos, Mal, and Jay go to the edge.

But who you are is who you need to be," Evie, Carlos, Mal, and Jay sing as Mal leans her head on Evie.

"Sometimes it's hard to find yourself

Hey! It starts with you and me," Everyone sings as they dance in a circle before going back to partners and occasionally changing partners. Bree, Evie, and Mal end up at the bottom of the stairs.

"If we all can do our part

Yeah," Bree, Mal, and Evie sing as they are joined by Ben, Jay, Doug, Carlos, and Jane.

"I promise we can work this out

Whoa-oh-oh," They all sing as they splash around. Carlos dances in the middle of everyone before Jane joins him. They bounce towards each other before Jane wraps her arms around his shoulders from behind and he drags her out of the middle. Jay and Bree then flip into the middle and splash each other. Jay kneels while Bree does a flip with his shoulders. They then lock arms before leaving the middle.

We can be bold" They all sing as Evie and Doug go to the middle. Doug picks Evie up from behind before spinning her around. They leave the middle.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah" Mal sings as Ben picks her up and spins her.

Whoa-oh-oh, whoa-oh-oh" Everyone slides to the middle and splashes Mal and Ben. Ben wraps his arms around Mal in attempt to protect her.

Oh, oh, yeah, yeah" Everyone sings as Bree, Mal, and Ben run up to Beast and Belle. Ben and Bree shake their wet hair at Beast and Belle causing Mal to laugh.

It starts with you and me" Everyone dances as Ben puts his ring back on Mal's finger causing her to smile at him. Everyone does a twirl before bowing to them. Bree, Mal, and Ben smile before waving to everyone. Fireworks go off. Bree looks out at all of her friends splashing around in the water and smiles even though her heart aches for Harry. Bree looks away from everyone with a smirk.

"What? You didn't think this was the end of the story, did you?"
