Annabeth couldn't explain how she was feeling, a part of her was excited, she was excited to prove Percy and everyone else wrong. But another part of her, a hidden part that she refused to admit was there, was jealous, how come Athena protected Telemachus? Annabeth was never protected like that by her mother, not even when she ran away from home at seven years old, or when she was five and terrified as spider refused to let her sleep.

Annabeth frowned, she never saw Odysseus and Athena as friends, in all her history books, Athena was Odysseus' mentor, not his friend. It made her sad to realise how much Odysseus truly meant to her, even if she never admitted it to anyone other than Telemachus.
