46 | Percabeth
"Come on, Annie! Just believe me!"
Percy looked at his wife with pleading and teary green eyes, jumping up from their couch as he saw Annabeth pick down her suitcase from the cupboard.
"No, Percy. This has happened before. Remember Reyna?" Her voice failed slightly, but she ignored it as she went to the drawers, stuffing her stuff into it.
Percy groaned in frustration. "You know nothing happened between us! And that was seven years ago!"
Annabeth paused, but not at Percy's pleading, then looking defiantly at Percy, a look in her eyes that matched one of if she were facing Hera.
At that moment, Percy couldn't help but let his eyes drift over her, her hair up in a loose ponytail, a loose grey shirt and jeans clung to her.
His eyes went to the photo that stood beside their bed, the photo where they both smiled happily as Annabeth's golden hair flew in the breeze, her eyes sparkling and her white dress flowing around her in the grass.
"No wait," Annabeth broke Percy out of his thoughts. "Why am I packing?"
She looked up at him, fury in her eyes.
"Annabeth, how many times do I have to tell you? I would never cheat on you!" Percy heard his voice crack at the end, and a tear slipped from under his eye.
Annabeth ignored him, then slamming her fist down the bedside table.
The photo fell off, and a smash rang through the house.
Annabeth froze, as did Percy.
"Annabeth-"
"Get out."
Percy spoke again. "Can we just-"
"Get out! Get your things, and just get out!" Annabeth screamed, and she faced away from Percy, hiding the tears that were slowly falling down her face.
Percy was still for a moment, before moving to get his belongings.
Then Annabeth gasped as she felt herself being lifted up, bridal style, and headed toward the door.
She looked up at her captive in surprise, seeing green eyes and wild black hair.
"Percy...? What are you-"
Percy stopped when he got to the door, and bent down, pressing his lips firmly against Annabeth's.
"You told me to take my things and get out."
Annabeth sent a glare at him.
"I know that, but what I want to know, is why?"
Percy chuckled lightly, setting his wife down.
"Boy, Annie, you are smarter than anyone I know, but my Gods you are dumb when it comes to love."
He pressed another kiss to her lips, wiping the tears that still slipped down Annabeth's cheeks. The daughter of Athena pressed her face into his hand, unconsciously reaching out for his warmth and touch.
"I love you."
