"Reyna?"

Nico whispered through the darkness of the room. Reyna stirred beneath his arms, her chocolate hair splayed about her, and her eyebrows drew together, mumbling a bit and scrunching her nose up in her half-conscious state.

Cute. Nico thought, and Reyna then opened her eyes, meeting the dark ones of the son of Hades, a small smile playing on her face.

Her eyes sparkled, even in the darkness of the cabin, and suddenly Nico couldn't hold himself anymore.

"I love you."

His eyes widened, realising in horror at what he had just said out loud. He froze, eyes ready to fill with tears at the rejection he would receive from his love.

He turned away, burying his face in the pillow.

"Oh Gods," He groaned. "Reyna, I am so sorry. That was too sudden, huh? You don't have to say anything, I'll be leaving now."

He got up, not daring to meet those probably angry eyes, those eyes that he adored so much.

But suddenly, Nico felt a small hand wrap around his wrist, and a small voice whispered, "D-don't leave."

Nico's eyes widened, and turned around to face Reyna. The soft glow from the moon outside the windows lit up her features, and instead of an angry, or perhaps even just annoyed expression, there was a soft, gentle, and basically happy smile on her face, her eyes dazzling even more in the light.

"Stay Neeks."

Nico obliged, climbing back into the bed that creaked slightly beneath him, and Reyna, almost instinctively, snuggled up against his chest, gripping his shirt.

Nico's heart began to thump, harder and harder with each breath that he felt Reyna take.

I want to stay like this forever...

"I love you, too."

Nico felt his heart almost fly out of his chest, and it probably would have if it weren't for Reyna against his chest, being the soul reason that it stayed in, but also the reason to why it was going to jump out.

The dark haired boy suddenly felt a warmth bloom in his chest, down his legs, to his feet, right down into the tips of toes.

He suddenly didn't feel the cool air around them; he felt warm, as if we're summer.

Reyna looked up, her mesmerising eyes staring into his, showing a determined, so determined look in those eyes.

Then lips were locked with his, but only for a brief moment, as if to prove her point.

She nestled down back into Nico's arms, breathing out, as if in relief.

He wrapped his arms further around her body, finally finding it in himself to move.

It was silent, just the sound of their breathing, until Nico found all the leftover courage he had stored away whispered, "Reyna, how many letters are there in the alphabet?"

Reyna stirred, and Nico could just imagine a frown on her features. "26, why?"

Nico ignored the last bit, and said as smoothly as he could, "But I thought there were 21?"

Reyna by now had sat up, giving Nico a questioning look, but a small smile played on her face.

"No, I am most certainly sure there are 26."

"Oh," Nico put a stray lock behind her ear, and she buried into his touch. "I must've missed out U, R, A."

Reyna was now puzzled. "Nico what are you...?"

Nico smirked before finishing, "Q, T."

It took two seconds before Reyna slammed her face into the bed, letting out a huff.

Nico smirked, patting down her hair, and bringing her close.

"Nico, don't do that."

"Do what?"

Reyna clinger closer into his chest, refusing to show him her face.

"Make my heart explode."

Nico brought his hand to her chin, making her look at him. Her face was flushed, Nico could tell, despite the darkness that shrouded them like a blanket.

"But I love you, Reyna."

She looked up and planted a soft kiss on his cheek, then retreating back to her position.

"Shut up, Neeks. Go to sleep."
