Percy and I were at school one day, in class. It was almost time to go home, when the lights went off.

"What in Hades!" Percy and I cried. A girl screamed.

We heard the teacher say, "Everyone, stay calm."

We waited for a long time when the teacher announced, "Okay everyone, grab blankets and head down to the gym. The doors aren't working, so we'll have to stay the night."

Everyone groaned. We all headed down to the gym. It was dark.

"I'm scared percy." I said to him as we were walking. He put his arm around me and pulled me close as I breathed in his scent.

We stopped at the door. "Everyone, when you get inside, find a spot and settle down for the night."

We all went inside and I found a spot in the corner of the gym on the hard floor.

"Oh yes and NO couples next to each other!" The teacher said.

I looked at Percy with a panicked look on my face. He mirrored my expression and went up to the teacher who was talking to another group of students.

"Um, excuse me miss, but could Annabeth please stay with me?" She stared at him as I clutched his hand, my face was probably white.

With a stern look on her face, she looked at our hands and the scared look on my face. "No."

PERCY

"What?" I said.

"No. Mr Jackson." She said.

"But you don't understand, she has nightmares and-"

"No! Now go and get in your sleeping bags. AWAY from each other."

Annabeth clung onto me as I walked over to my sleeping bag. "No. Percy please. Can't you just ask again?"

I shook my head sadly. I hugged her tight and stayed that way until I heard, "Okay everyone, in bed!" The teacher yelled, looking directly at us.

"Okay." I said. "Goodnight Annie. I love you."

"Love you too." She whispered as she pecked me on the lips. I watched as she walked back to her spot, which was on the other side of the gym.

I crawled into my bag and soon sleep overtook me.

I shot up when I heard screaming. Heart renching, ear splitting screams.

"Annabeth, calm down!"

I opened my eyes to see across to where the screaming was coming from. The whole class were crowding around where the screams were coming from, while the teacher was yelling, trying to get the person to stop. Then I realized, it was Annabeth!

I jumped out of my sleeping bag, sprinting across the gym, my feet thumping against the floorboards.

"Percy! Percy?! Where are you?!" She yelled. I pushed through the students who were crowded around her.

She was thrashing and kicking anyone who came near.

I ran to her and yelled, "Wise Girl!"

She stopped kicking and I scooped her up in my arms. "P-Percy?"

I started rocking her. "Ssh. I'm here. I'm here."

I glanced up at everyone around us. They were staring in shock.

"Uh, um, uh. How did you do that?" The teacher stammered. Annabeth whispered before she fell asleep, "Love you, Seaweed Brain." I grinned. "Love you too, Wise Girl." I whispered.

"And this is why you shouldn't seperate us."
