Himeko yawned as she walked down the street at night. She headed back to her apartment until she heard a couple of voices nearby
Ugh...I don't want to meet up with any drunk bastards please...
Himeko started walking quickly as she tried rushing pass the alley but felt a small bump. She looked down seeing a young child trembling and shaking
"You brat! Get back here!" A man exclaimed and the child hid behind Himeko holding onto her leg
"Pl-please...stop..." The girl whimpered softly
"Leave her alone" Himeko said as she glared at the man who was clearly drunk
"Mind your own damn business bitch" The man said and Himeko held the young girl
"Come with me" Himeko said as she took the girl and felt the man grab her arm
"Don't fuc-"
Himeko instantly punched him before kicking his stomach. The man dropped onto the ground while groaning in pain
"Don't touch me..." Himeko mumbled and looked down seeing the whimpering girl
"Hey...are you hurt anywhere?" Himeko asked as she knelt down looking at the girl and the girl only trembled. Himeko looked at her closely and noticed a horrible scar on her neck
"Do you have a name?" Himeko asked
"...Fu Hua.." The girl spoke softly and Himeko gave her a warm smile
"Nice to meet you, Fu Hua. I'm Himeko and I'll take you home with me where it's safe" Himeko said and held her hand out. Fu Hua looked at her hand before holding it
It's...warm...and soft
Once they got home, Himeko introduced the girl to her new home
"Welcome to my place. It's not much but it'll do for now" Himeko said and Fu Hua walked in looking around
"...why are you helping me? I-I'm...just a random k-kid..." Fu Hua said
"Because...you deserve to be happy and live a good life. No child should suffer or go through all that pain. Whoever that bastard was deserves to die and burn in hell. I should've given him a couple of more beatings. But forget about him. What matters is that you're safe and cared for. I'll take care of you for now okay?" Himeko said. Fu Hua looked at her before tearing up
"A-ah! I didn't mean to make you cry" Himeko said as she hugged her. Fu Hua trembled as she felt her warmth and felt comfortable
"...th-thank you" Fu Hua said as she whimpered softly. Himeko stood up with the girl in her arms
"Let's give you a bath and eat dinner right after okay?" Himeko asked and Fu Hua nodded
"Great. Let me prepare the water" Himeko said as she took the girl to the bathroom. She set Fu Hua down and started filling the tub up with warm water
"Now let me help you take your clothes off" Himeko said and Fu Hua allowed her to take it off. Himeko's expression soften seeing a few injuries and bruises on her body
"I'll be gentle okay? Tell me if I hurt you..." Himeko said and Fu Hua nodded. After filling the tub up, Himeko helped Fu Hua get in the tub
"Is it okay?" Himeko asked
"Mhm..." Fu Hua said
"Okay good" Himeko said and knelt down as she began to bathe the girl. During the bath, Fu Hua couldn't help but feel comfortable by the woman's hands. It was a strange feeling that she didn't know nor understand. But the only thing she knew was that she enjoyed it. The smooth hands roaming around her body felt warm and soft for her. It felt relaxing that Fu Hua almost fell asleep in the tub
"Hey hey don't fall asleep yet" Himeko giggled softly and Fu Hua shook her head trying to wake up
"S-sorry..." Fu Hua said
"You'll sleep soon after you eat and brush your teeth" Himeko said as she smiled. After the bath, Himeko got the girl out and dried her up before getting her into some fresh clothes that were unfortunately large for her that she wore a shirt only
"Uhhh hope you don't mind. I kinda didn't expect this to happen so this will have to do for now. Don't worry tomorrow morning we can go out and buy some clothes for you. Sounds good?" Himeko asked and Fu Hua nodded
"Great and before we go eat. I'd like to see those small injuries and patch them up" Himeko said as she carried the girl into the bed and went to grab the first aid kit. She came back and knelt down in front of her as she began to look at the injuries she had in her body. Himeko stared at the cuts in her arms and slid her fingers across them gently. Fu Hua blushed at her touch and Himeko began to clean up the wounds before putting fresh bandages. Fu Hua winced in pain slightly and Himeko carefully wrapped the bandages around her arms. Once she finished getting her injuries patched up, Himeko decided to order takeout for dinner
"Our food will be here in 15 minutes" Himeko said and Fu Hua looked around the place
"Would you like to watch something while we wait?" Himeko asked and Fu Hua nodded
"I-I would like that..." Fu Hua said and Himeko patted her head softly
"Okay. I believe I have a movie that we could watch together" Himeko said as she went to put on a movie while waiting for the food. During the film, Fu Hua was on Himeko's lap as she stared at the screen in front of her. She felt her heart beating rapidly which was weird for the girl. Fu Hua's face burned up too since she was blushing

Ring Ring
"Ah that must be them" Himeko said and got Fu Hua off her lap before heading to the door. Fu Hua was left on the couch and touched her chest feeling her heartbeat.
"Fu Hua, time to eat" Himeko said and Fu Hua got off the couch before following her to eat. After dinner, Himeko took Fu Hua to the bedroom and got her ready for bed
"Time to sleep" Himeko said
"Mm...I-I...don't want to sleep alone..." Fu Hua said
"Don't worry you will sleep with me" Himeko said and placed her in bed
"Thank you so much, Miss Himeko" Fu Hua said and Himeko leaned in kissing the girl's forehead
"You're welcome Fu Hua" Himeko said and turned off the lights before getting in bed with Fu Hua
"Goodnight. Sweet dreams" Himeko said
"Goodnight..." Fu Hua said. Time went by and Himeko woke up as she heard a noise. She looked to the side seeing the little girl crying in her sleep
"Don't l-leave me...please...please..." Fu Hua cried and Himeko looked at her before pulling her into a hug. Fu Hua's body tensed up slightly until she calmed down. The young girl pressed her head against woman's chest and Himeko smiled
"I promise to never leave you. You have me here by your side, Fu Hua" Himeko whispered softly

Years passed by and the class monitor walked down the hallway. Fu Hua looked around the school in search for her teacher
"Fu Hua! Hey!" Kiana said and Fu Hua turned around before smiling
"Ah hey Kiana. How you've been?" Fu Hua asked
"I've been great! I didn't know studying with Mei would be so much fun. With her help I was actually able to get my grades up" Kiana said
"That's great to hear" Fu Hua said and kept looking which Kiana noticed
"Looking for Miss Himeko again?" Kiana asked
"Yes. Have you seen her?" Fu Hua asked
"She was in the teacher's lounge with some other teacher. It seems Miss Himeko has a date for tonight since I might've overheard her conversation with one of the sensei's. He seems like a kind and respectful gentleman. Maybe Himeko-sensei has finally hit jackpot" Kiana said
"Ah...I hope he makes her happy and treats her right. It's about time she starts dating someone" Fu Hua said
"Pfft! Yeah she always glares at me and Mei-senpai whenever we're being lovey dovey" Kiana giggled and Fu Hua smiled before clenching onto the books tightly
Haah...this feeling again...
"I'll look for Miss Himeko since I need to have a word with her" Fu Hua said
"Oh okay. Tell me if you find out anything about her date. I really hope she finally gets a date" Kiana said as she whispered and Fu Hua nodded
"Of course" Fu Hua said as she walked ahead and gritted her teeth
I can't allow this date to happen. Shit...please don't tell me she plans on going out tonight?
Fu Hua rushed passed the hallways as she soon got to the teacher's lounge. The door opened and the man stepped out with Himeko by her side
"I'll see you Sunday?" The man asked
"Of course" Himeko said smiling softly. She glanced over to the side and looked confused
"Hm? Something wrong?" The man asked
"Oh it's nothing. I thought I saw something" Himeko said as she walked away with him. In the corner stood the girl who was trembling and shaking as her heart throbbed in pain. Tears built up in her eyes and she clenched her fists tightly
"Y-you can't take her away from me. The only one who should make her happy, make her smile, and be by her side is me. Only I should be by her side..." Fu Hua said and slammed her fist against the wall
Miss Himeko...y-you can't leave me behind. You told me...you were going to stay by my side...forever
After class, Fu Hua stepped out of the school and on her way to the parking lot. She found the same man who was beside her in the parking lot talking with one another. Fu Hua trembled as she looked down clenching her bag
Wh-why are you giving him that look when you're only supposed to look at me like that?
"Sorry for being busy tonight but you know I have to deal with my student's paperwork" Himeko said
"Oh I understand. I have to finish grading their projects. It's best to finish everything by the weekend so we can spend a great time together without having to think about work. Well I better get going. Bye!" The man said as he waved goodbye
"Bye and drive safely" Himeko said
"You too" The man said as he walked to his car. Himeko sighed blissfully as she couldn't stop smiling
"You seem to be in a good mood..." Fu Hua said which made Himeko jump
"Ah hey Fu Hua. Didn't notice you there" Himeko said
"Did something good happen today?" Fu Hua asked
"Ah well...you could say that. Anyways let's go back home" Himeko said and Fu Hua stepped inside the car. Himeko got in as well and started the car
"Got a boyfriend or something?" Fu Hua asked and Himeko laughed nervously
"I-I mean I kinda met this guy and uh...well we got along very well these past few weeks. I might give him a chance but who knows...I've always sucked at dating" Himeko said
"...what will happen if you actually go out with him? Will things change?" Fu Hua asked
"Hm? What do you mean?" Himeko asked as she looked confused
"Ah...nothing. Forget that I asked..." Fu Hua said as she smiled nervously
