It took a while for Alex to process the words he just heard but once he realized what she said, all he could say was one thing.

"...what?" He said slowly and quietly.

"I-I'm sorry I really am!" Shouted Theresa.

Alex couldn't even think properly let alone say anything as the others in the group kept quiet except Kiana who was almost in tears trying to hold her in laughter.

"Sorry kid. This is all Principal Theresa can pay you right now." Said Himeko as she handed Alex what looked like a decent amount of money as Alex grabbed it and began to count the amount.

"This is only half of the money I was promised. I was told that the amount I wanted wasn't too much and that I was easily gonna get it once I was done. What the hell happened?" Asked Alex.

"W-Well, after accepting the mission we kinda underestimated how much that would cost us. E-Even then we still did have enough to pay you fully! W-Well, at the time though." Somberly said Theresa.

"Then what the hell happened to caused it to be short?" Asked Alex.

This lead Himeko to stare sternly and intently at Kiana.

"Like Theresa said, we did indeed have enough but unfortunately someone just had to crash one of our drones on the way to the airship. Cause of that we had to rush in a new one which costs a hefty amount. Hence why Theresa could only pay half of the amount." Said Himeko.

When that was said, everyone turned to look at Kiana as she slowly stopped laughing, wondering why everyone was looking at her until it finally clicked in her head why.

"H-Huh!? Why's everyone blaming me for being short on the money!? I was surrounded by Honkai Beasts and was fending them off! Wasn't my fault that the drone went off course!" Shouted the girl in defense.

Himeko just sighed at her response as she turned her attention back to Alex. "Either way, that's all we can give you at the moment." Said Himeko.

"D-Don't worry Mr. Mustang! As Principal of St. Freya High and a member of the highly esteemed Apocalypse family, I swear that I will pay you in full! J-Just give me time to get the full amount again." Pleaded Theresa hoping that Alex would listen.

Alex thought to himself a bit to get his answer straight.

While he was a bit annoyed that he wasn't getting his full pay, he really couldn't be overly upset because for the most part at least he was paid half of his due amount so he didn't want to be that type of guy.

"Alright listen. I'll give you time to pay me, however not in full. I've already gotten one half of the amount owed so I'll keep it safe. All you need is to get the remaining half of the amount and we're done. Deal?" Asked Alex.

Theresa's face pratically lit up as she immediately shook Alex's hand.

"Y-Yes we have a deal Mr. Mustang! I'll make sure to pay you the remaining half soon!" She said as Alex chuckled.

"You're welcome. Also, just call me Alex." He said.

Theresa nodded as she walked back onto her seat at the desk.

"Well, now that that's been sorted out, girls you may now report to your classes for today." Said Theresa.

Mei and Bronya nodded while Kiana groaned as all three left the office as that just left Alex there.

"So, what about me? I can't exactly leave town once my business is done here." Said Alex.

"I'll give you permission to roam around campus grounds to get familiar with the place. Obviously you won't be allowed to enter restricted areas without permission." Said Theresa.

"While you're out and about, Me and Theresa will figure out where you'll be staying in the meantime." Said Himeko.

"Alright then. See you two soon then." Said Alex.

After exchanging each other's contact information to stay in touch, Alex left the principal's office and now it was up to his mind to figure out what he wanted to do for the remainder of the afternoon.

Thankfully help would soon come as he got a tap on his shoulder leading him to turn and see Fu Hua standing there with a smile.

"Oh, It's you again." Said Alex as she nodded.

"Yeah. I've already finished my classes so now I just walk around the halls monitoring the other classes like my title implies. Anyways why're you here on your own?" She asked.

"Hm? Oh, well we just finished our talk with the principal. Theresa sent the three back to their classes and right now she allowed me to roam around the entire campus excluding restricted areas as she and Himeko find a place for me to stay at." Said Alex which got Fu Hua curious.

"Hm? Are you planning to stay here a little longer?" She asked.

"Yeah. Not intentionally though. Turns out that Theresa could only give half of my pay because that snowflake ended up destroying a drone on the mission causing them to immediately bring in a new one." Said Alex as Fu Hua sighed.

"I'm sorry for Kiana's behavior. She can be a handful at times." She said as Alex shrugged that off.

"Eh I'm over it. I'd rather not hold a pointless grudge. Either way I told Theresa that she only needs to pay me the remaining half and not the full amount again once she gets some income." Said Alex.

"I see. Well then no matter how long your stay lasts, I hope you'll enjoy it. Hopefully we'll see each other soon." She said as she walked off returning to her duties.

'Now that I think about it, where the hell are they even gonna have me stay at? It has to be off campus right? They'd be crazy to let a boy stay in a all girls school.' Thought Alex to himself as he walked and exited the school as he decided to spend the afternoon walking around the campus' exteriors and nearby city.

Eventually, the day passed by as the sun was beginning to set

After wasting the afternoon by just walking around, Alex had went back to the circular plaza in front of St. Freya's entrance and laid down on one of the benches as he had his eyes closed, just relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere.

That didn't last long as shortly after that he was woken up by a tap on his forehead as he opened his eyes to see the three girls from before looking at him as Alex sat up.

"Looks like you three are done with school." He said as they all nodded.

"Yeah. We're actually gonna head out to town and celebrate the success of our mission. I was wondering if you'd like to come? After all you did help in making it a success." Said Mei.

"Sure why not. I got nothing better to do." Said Alex standing up.

"Before we go, Major Himeko said that she and Principal Theresa have found a place for you to stay that." Said Mei.

"Really? That's great. Where is it then?" Asked Alex, as he then was given a blindfold by Kiana.

"Put this on. Aunt Himeko and Auntie Theresa said they wanted it to be a surprise so we're gonna be guiding you there." Said Kiana.

Alex initially questioned it but quickly got over it, thinking they probably got him a decent apartment room.

So with that, Alex placed on the blindfold as he was guided along by Mei and Kiana with Bronya leading the group ahead.

After what felt like a few minutes, Alex heard the sound of a door opening and closing as he was lead inside somewhere before hearing the girls countdown as they removed his blindfold to see Himeko and Theresa standing in front of him.

Alex looked around and saw that he was in a really good looking living room as just ahead was the kitchen and large dining table and to his left was a flight of stairs leading up to rooms.

"Welcome to your temporary home Alex." Said Theresa.

"W-Wow. Uh, thanks. I appreciate this a ton but, you two didn't need to go this all out for me. I think this is a bit too much for an apartment room." Said Alex.

When he said that, the girls all laughed with Mei having a chuckle and Bronya cracking a small smile.

"Um, I think there's been a misunderstanding Alex." Said Mei which got Alex confused.

"Misunderstanding? How?" He asked as Himeko then cleared her throat to speak.

"This is our dorm rooms Alex. You're gonna be living with us." She said.
