This definitely wasn't expected as the beast roared loudly, causing multiple Valkyries to run out of the arena in fear.

"W-What the hell is that!?" Shouted Alex.

"Ganesha. An Emperor Class Honkai Beast." Said Rita.

"E-Emperor Class!? That's insanse! No way in hell this was meant for the exam!" Said Alex.

"It isn't. You saw the error screen pop up for a split second didn't you? The upload must've broke and went overboard." Said Rita.

"Shit. Listen you gotta get anyone left behind out of here now." Said Alex

"And what about you? Are you really gonna take it on?" Asked Rita.

"Not like I have a choice now do I?" Said Alex.

Ganesha roared and began to charge straight at the stands containing a few valkyries but before it made it there, Alex held his sword out as a blast of fire bursted out from his sword and onto Ganesha as it roared in pain and backed away.

Alex jumped down the rows of stands and landed onto the arena floor as he walked in front of the beast.

"A-Alex what're you doing!?" Shouted Mei as the three girls were behind him.

"You all get going. This bad boy requires someone at full strength and from what I can tell, you three have already spent enough stamina by now. So hurry and get going!"

Mei knew that he was correct so she quickly had assisted any people left behind out of the arena.

Bronya followed soon there after however as the others left, Kiana stayed as she walked besides Alex.

"H-Huh? Didn't you hear me you idiot!? This beast needs someone at max strength and your spent!" Said Alex.

"Sorry pervy stalker but I ain't gonna let you take my thunder on my school grounds! I'm helping!" Shouted Kiana.

"Your thunder!? Ugh whatever. Fine your in. Gameplan. Try to get it's underside exposed. It's the softest part of the body. Everywhere else is heavily armored." Said Alex.

Alex and Kiana both got their weapons prepared, staring down the beast as it had finally calmed down from the fire.

"Remember the plan. No screw ups or we're done." Said Alex.

Ganesha settled down and looked at the two, giving a menacing growl as it seemed to have locked onto its two targets.

It then began to roll in place picking up speed.

"Incoming!" Shouted the boy.

The beast then began to roll all around the arena ground as if it were a pinball as Alex and Kiana danced around, doing their best to avoid the massive beast running over them.

Soon after it tired itself out as it was about to land back on the ground.

Kiana was able to land a few shots onto it's belly followed by Alex unleashing another round of flames as the beast's underside was now burning as it began to run around like a bull chasing a cape as it tried to put the fire out.

Because of this, it left the underside exposed on numerous occasions allowing Alex and Kiana to get more hits on it as it made the monster more furious.

It got to the point where the monster just wasn't having this anymore as it opened its mouth and shot a laser beam right at Kiana.

The girl couldn't move out of the way in time as she was spent from the earlier rounds, meaning that she was pratically running on fumes

Thankfully Alex managed to reach her in time as he quickly grabbed her, both diving out of the way as the beam collided into a section of the stands, breaking it down but without anyone getting hurt.

Once the laser beam dispersed, the beast then charged at them and with no time to dodge, Alex acted on instinct as he pushed Kiana out of the way.

Ganesha collided into him and quite literally threw Alex away as the boy crashed hard into the stands.

"Alex!" Shouted Kiana.

The boy coughed a bit and eventually stood up.

"Huh. This beast ramming into me didn't hurt nearly as much as when Fu Hua punched me in the face. I can keep going!" Said Alex as he jumped back onto the ground.

Both Kiana and Alex stood next to one another ready for another attack until they hears footsteps approach them from behind as they turned to see Mei and Bronya run up to them.

"We wanna help!" Said Mei as Bronya nodded in agreement.

"Okay then I got a plan. Just buy me some time and get the bad boy to stand upright and have it's underside exposed." Said Alex.

The three girls nodded and went on ahead at the beast as Alex stayed behind, taking a deep breathe.

The three girls then began to take turns engaging the monster as Kiana slid under it shooting the underside multiple times irritating it as Mei then also slid under it as she gave one long a slash across making it grow more annoyed.

The beast then in a desperate attack charged at Bronya.

Right before the beast made contact, Bronya brought up a shield at the last moment as the beast collided with the shield, and ricocheted off it as it was pratically standing up right due to the force as Alex seized his opportunity as he then closed his eyes before shouting out, "Full Burst, go!"

His sword was now fully coated in flames, as he dashed forward, running as fast as he could at Ganesha.

Once Alex was close enough, he jumped up and delivered a powerful and clean slash right through Ganesha's belly as the beast was now defeated.

Ganesha gave out one last roar before it went limp, finally dispersing away as it was spawned in and wasn't naturally here.

Once it was gone the three girls approached Alex who was panting a bit, the flames dispersing as his sword was back to normal.

"Are you two alright?" Asked Mei to Alex and Kiana.

"Aside from sore ribs and a little exhaustion from that last attack, I''m fine." Said Alex.

"That was a tiring fight, but I can easily handle those enemies for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!" Said a confident Kiana.

Eventually Himeko walked back to the arena and was suprised to see the four there.

"Thank goodness you all are alright. Thanks for helping out Alex. You all go and rest now. We'll sort everything out before we resume." Said Himeko.

The four nodded as they all walked off.

Unaware to them, Rita had been watching them leave as she had her eyes focused on two individuals.

'What an exciting match. Though the opponent was a simulated model, it was still an Emperor-Class Honkai Beast. The subject made significant advancements in terms of physical and combat capabilities, however further observation is required to confirm the success of the persona's replication. The Overseer's plan can now move into a more...pratical phase. Everything...is under his control.' Thought Rita to herself as she began to walk off.

'My mission here is complete, so might as well report back immediately. Gotta say though, seeing the merc in action was definitely a welcome surprise. The Overseer will love to hear all about this.'

The rest of the day went on normally as the remainder of the exams were put back on track and went off without a hitch after the Ganesha incident.

Alex though had spent all this time in the medical room as he was nursing sore ribs after taking a head on hit from Ganesha.

While it was true that it didn't hurt nearly as much when Fu Hua decked him in the face, it still did indeed hurt a lot.

Thankfully he was told that he wasn't gonna be here overnight and that he'd be released tonight.

As Alex was just laying on the bed, he heard the door open to see Himeko walk in followed by the three girls.

"How're you holding up kid?" Asked Himeko.

"I'm doing great." Sarcastically said Alex. "Can you save the talk for later? I just wanna rest in peace." He said.

"Man someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today." Said Himeko. "Anyways, I'm here because the girls wanted to tell you something. So go ahead."

Himeko stepped aside as Alex looked at them waiting for whatever they were gonna tell him.

The three girls walked up as Kiana stepped ahead with a huge smile as she gave a peace sign.

"We all passed with flying colors!"
