Chapter 75: Three Realms Offering

(Sakura's Serenetea Pot)

Everyone was waking up then getting dressed then go get breakfast. Today was the day they go back to Enkanomiya for the Three Realms Gateway Offering event. Everyone met outside after having breakfast.

Paimon: Apparently, they held the Watatsumi Goryou Matsuri in Sangonomiya recently. Paimon bets Kokomi was the host.

Sakura: Good for Kokomi.

Paimon: Let's go pay her a visit.

Sakura: That's what I was thinking about doing too. Let's go to Watatsumi Island and go see her.

(Watatsumi Island)

The Valkyries, the ELFs, Higokumaru, Tamamo, Patrick, Aether, and Paimon go to Sangonomiya Shrine where they find Kokomi.

Ueno: ...This is the correspondence from Stingray III. Your Excellency, the situation looks extremely serious.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Thank you, Ueno. Inform Swordfish I to stand by. I'll see to the wounded shortly.

Ueno: Yes, Ma'am.

Sakura: Kokomi!

Paimon: Hey, Kokomi! How've you been?

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Ah, Captains of Swordfish II. Sakura. Glad to have you back on Watatsumi Island. I would have liked to have given you a grand reception, but as you can see...

Paimon: What's going on?

Sakura: What's wrong, Kokomi?

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Not long ago, I hosted the Watatsumi Goryou Matsuri. It's the most important ceremony on Watatsumi Island. I'm guessing you'll have heard about it from Tsuyuko—

Paimon: What? How did you know we were the ones helping out Tsuyuko this whole time?

Sakura: I'd be more surprised if she didn't know...

Aether: How could you not tell, Paimon?

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Ahem. Tsuyuko is one of the more conscientious shrine maidens of Sangonomiya. I knew that handing off the planning of the ceremony to her would play to her strengths. Based on her description of the people who took the commission, it was quite obviously you.

Mei: Yes... it was us. Along with a lot more people we know from afar.

Paimon: This is all starting to sound pretty suspicious...

Aether: It's a bit late for that now, Paimon.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Anyway. I'm sure Tsuyuko will have told you that the Watatsumi Goryou Matsuri is a ceremony to reverse the Holy Soil phenomenon on Watatsumi Island.

Sakura: Yes she has.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: It's a bleaching process that slowly turns the earth to "Holy Soil," leaving the land infertile and devastating agricultural production. Granted, crops aren't our staple food on Watatsumi Island, but I can't allow external forces to drastically alter the people's diet — and we certainly shouldn't be overly reliant on imports...

Paimon: Paimon doesn't quite follow...

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Imagine all you had to eat from now on was radishes, no more fish or meat. Clearer now?

Aether: (Opposite day. There's something Paimon can follow.)

Paimon: That would be terrible!

Sangonomiya Kokomi: The issue began with the Watatsumi Goryou Matsuri. I did not miss a single step during the ritual and there's no question that the Bloodbranch Coral you retrieved was infused with the Omikami's power...

Mei: And?...

Sangonomiya Kokomi: But it didn't reverse the Holy Soil phenomenon as expected.

Sakura: What happened?

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Instead, it just... paused. This has never happened before in history. This is ultimately a matter of Watatsumi Island's survival, so I sent as many people as I could spare to Enkanomiya to investigate the situation. The news from Stingray III was that "All of Enkanomiya is engulfed in a darkness that cannot be dispelled." Additionally, there have also been reports of monsters the likes of which no one has ever seen before.

Paimon: Strange monsters and... an all-engulfing darkness?

Sakura: Does that mean Enkanomiya is in danger?

Sangonomiya Kokomi: That's all that Stingray III has reported. Their investigation otherwise has yielded no useful information, and the unforgiving environment has caused many casualties so far... I have sent several rescue teams already, but so far... the situation does not look promising.

Sakura: (Sounds like Enjou and the Abyss Order are behind this. Enjou has probably returned to Enkanomiya to continue searching for the book.)

Sangonomiya Kokomi: It brings me no pleasure to have to ask, but on behalf of all of Watatsumi Island... I beseech you. Please lend us your assistance one more time, St. Freya Knights and Valkyries.

Aether: For the sake of everyone on Watatsumi Island, We'll do it.

Kiana: We'll go down to Enkanomiya again.

Sakura: We'll put together an assault force and go down there again.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Thank you, all. Now, please come with me to meet Tsuyuko.

They approach Tsuyuko where she's usually at.

Tsuyuko: Your Excellency, Aether... I did wonder. Hope you're both having a wonderful date so far.

Aether and Kokomi blushed deep red which caused some giggles.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Ahem... Cut the comedy, Tsuyuko. Or I may have to have you and Naki switch posts next year — in which case, you'd be in charge of Specter Eco-Management on Watatsumi Island.

Tsuyuko: No need, no need! I'll stop.

Sakura: And you didn't even greet us.

Tsuyuko: Sorry Sakura. Greetings to you all. So since all of you are here together, I assume it's about Enkanomiya?

Sakura: Yes it is.

Paimon: Kokomi filled us in on what's been going on.

Tsuyuko: Oooh, "Kokomi." Hehe... ahem.

Kokomi made a serious face to get Tsuyuko to stop with the jokes again.

Tsuyuko: Right, well, as I'm sure Her Excellency has told you, an ominous darkness has completely engulfed Enkanomiya. At the same time, strange humanoid monsters have appeared when the place should be completely deserted.

Paimon: Humanoid... monsters?

Mei: What kind of humanoid monsters?

Tsuyuko: Armor that can move on its own. I know it sounds ridiculous, but we're not talking about one spooked soldier hallucinating in the darkness. All the wounded who return to Sangonomiya have described seeing the same thing.

Sakura: (Sounds like the Abyss Heralds and Lectors.)

Tsuyuko: On top of this, even ordinary enemies seem to grow much stronger in the darkness. That's why Stingray III has sustained so many casualties.

Mei: Grow... in the darkness?

Tsuyuko: There's one other thing that the returning soldiers have mentioned. They say a shrine maiden who calls herself Tsumi has been helping to treat the wounded.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Tsumi? I don't recall there being any record of a shrine maiden by that name in Sangonomiya.

Sakura: Haven't met any shrine maidens by the name of Tsumi.

Tsuyuko: That's the thing, there isn't one. But she held something called a Sentou ceremony, which managed to keep a small area in the very center of Enkanomiya brightly lit. Thanks to her, the wounded soldiers have a safe zone where they can recuperate.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Sentou... I've seen this term in the Deep-Sea Healing Arts Compendium. But it's a ceremony that only works in Enkanomiya, so it was never brought to Watatsumi Island. I'd love to meet this Tsumi... But right now, helping the wounded has to be my top priority.

Tsuyuko: Your Excellency... even if you had no duties at all right now, there's still no way we'd let you go down there. Enkanomiya is exceedingly dangerous right now. Only pre-eminent warriors like the Traveler, the Valkyries, Patrick, Sakura, Higokumaru, Tamamo No Mae, the ELFS, and Paimon should venture there.

Paimon: Yup, absolutely, a hundred percent. This is a job only we can handle!

Aether: ...Tsuyuko, you really get Paimon.

Tsuyuko: Hehe. We've worked together plenty of times in the past, after all.

Sakura: Yes we have.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Do you have any other information about Tsumi?

Tsuyuko: It was mentioned that she wears a strange mask that covers the upper half of her face.

Aether: A masked shrine maiden...

Sakura: Half of her face...

Sangonomiya Kokomi: How interesting. What is she trying to hide?

Sakura: Good question. Why would she only cover the upper half of her face?

Sakura and Sangonomiya Kokomi: Mmm...

Tsuyuko: Your Excellency, in my humblest of opinions, Tsumi has shown nothing but goodwill so far. Since the situation is so critical, we don't have the resources to make other defense arrangements and cast suspicion on our allies.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Mmm, I see what you mean.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: I have instructed Swordfish I to proceed to Enkanomiya and continue evacuating the wounded. Guys, you can go with them. Swordfish I will escort you to the camp at the center of Enkanomiya. Also — please take this with you.

Kokomi hands them something called a Fragmented Accessory.

Paimon: What's this? Looks like... a missing piece of something.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: It's just a little trinket. When you are faced with a difficult choice, it might be able to help you.

Tsuyuko: Your Excellency... but... isn't that...?

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Watatsumi Island doesn't need it anymore. Besides, both of the other two pieces are in Enkanomiya. If we're lucky enough, this could be our chance to reunite them.

Tsuyuko: Understood, Your Excellency. Okay... emergency measures to hold the Three Realms Gateway Offering now underway.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Mm. I apologize for the trouble. Now, everyone, please excuse me, I need to tend to the wounded. Please see Ueno once you're ready.

Sakura: Ok. We'll do it. Theresa, Himeko, put together an assault force.

(Mouun Shrine)

They went over to Mouun Shrine where they had gathered everyone.

Neptune: So Enkanomiya needs saving?

Mei: Yes, Neptune it does.

Sakura: It looks like the Abyss Order might be behind this.

Patrick: And Enjou might have come back to Enkanomiya.

Sakura: To continue searching for the book. There is also this shrine maiden that wears a mask that only covers her upper face.

IF: Now why would someone want to cover only their upper face?

Sakura: I don't know. But that's what we're gonna find out.

Theresa: Lead the way, Sakura.

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

Sakura: Alright. Form up assault force!

Sakura gave the order.

Sakura: Herrschers! Patrick, Kiana, Mei, Bronya, and Fu Hua! Transform!

The Herrshers transformed into their Herrscher forms.

Sakura: CPUS! Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert! Transform!

The CPUs transformed into their HDD forms.

Sakura: CPU Candidates! Nepgear, Uni, Rom, and Ram! Transform!

And so did the CPU Candidates.

Sakura: Asuka, Homura, Yumi, and Miyabi! Transform!

The Shinobi transformed.

Sakura: Finally! Seele, Kallen, Jeanne D'Arc, and Tamamo No Mae! Transform!

Seele, Kallen, Jeanne D'Arc, and Tamamo No Mae transformed last.

Sakura: Let's go! Roll out!

(Enkanomiya)

They break through the darkness with Swordfish I and arrive at the Dainichi Mikoshi. Even though they didn't need their help, they were still required to go with someone to Enkanomiya.

(Music stops)

Ueno: Here's hoping I have the chance...

Aether: The chance to do what?

Ueno: Next year, I'm going to apply for Swordfish I to be redeployed into Specter management. 'Cause if it's that or spend more time in Enkanomiya, I'll take my chance with the Specters. Those armor monsters... closing in on you, "ker-chunk, ker-chunk"... It's the stuff nightmares are made of.

Paimon: Totally understand.

Sakura: There are a lot of us here now, so we won't need any help now.

Ueno: Anyway. We should be safe for now. There shouldn't be any more danger from here on out.

Yabe: Hey! Whassup!

Ueno: It's Yabe... The odd guy from Stingray III.

Paimon: You seem kinda chipper compared to all the other soldiers.

Yabe: Do I? Hehehe. I've pretty much always loved horror stories and ghost stories and stuff. Ever since I was a kid. This trip to Enkanomiya is something else, though — totally mind-blowing.

Kiana: Sounds more like a joker and a guy who's into history and fairy tales.

Purple Heart: And comic relief.

Yabe: Super fun, 10/10 would come again.

Paimon: Totally do not understand...

Yabe: Well, I mean, it's pretty sweet to have the chance to come to Enkanomiya. I actually kinda wanted to look into the Bunkoku Puzzle while I'm here. It's the first of the four great puzzles of Enkanomiya.

Ueno: Yeah, please don't do that. We're the ones that'll have to come rescue you.

Yabe: Alright, well never mind that. There's a makeshift camp at the top of those steps over there. Yeah, you should head up and catch some rest if you haven't been there yet.

Sakura and Mei: Right...

Patrick: Maybe we should change back now. We're in the safe zone now.

Purple Heart: Good idea.

They change back into their normal forms then go up the stone steps where they see wounded soldiers and soldiers still in good condition.

Paimon: Hey look, a shrine maiden taking care of the wounded. That must be Tsumi, right?

Sakura: That must be her.

IF: She's blue.

Paimon: Let's go ask her about what's been going on.

When they approached Tsumi, she turned around and she had the mask that covered the upper part of her face.

Tsumi: You are... different from all the others. Are you human?

Paimon: Well he and a lot of the others are, obviously! Just not natives of Watatsumi Island, that's all.

Sakura: Yes.

Neptune: I'm more than just human.

Tsumi: And you small floating creatures? Human hatchlings?

Jingwai's Wings: No we're not.

Aether: I doubt it.

Tsumi: Oh, really? Because I thought that humans lose the ability to fly when they reach adulthood, just like Bathysmal Vishaps lose the ability to see in color when they reach maturity.

Paimon: Tsumi, you seem to know a lot about vishaps.

Tsumi: Wait, how do you know my name?

Paimon: Oh, the wounded soldiers mentioned you.

Tsumi: Oh.

Aether: We came to investigate the darkness.

Ueno: Greetings, my name is Ueno, acting captain of Swordfish I. We're here to evacuate the wounded and support their investigation. Swordfish I needs to rest and reorganize before commencing the evacuation. I'll see you later.

Ueno leaves.

Tsumi: So you're here to help resolve this, hmm?

Kiana and Neptune: Yes we are!

Sakura: Exactly.

Tsumi: Very well. It's taking all the energy I have to keep this light shining. I don't have the strength to try and combat the spreading darkness, too.

Paimon: Do you understand what's going on?

Tsumi: The Void Realm is invading. The people of Byakuyakoku believe that there are three realms: the Vishap Realm, the Human Realm, and the Void Realm.

Kiana: Void Realm? (Could that be where the Unknown God resides?)

Tsumi: The darkness spreading in Enkanomiya comes from the Void Abyss. Neither vishaps nor humans can endure it.

Paimon: But don't Bathysmal Vishaps like the dark?

Tsumi: No. They hate the light, but only because down here in the depths, the presence of light signifies human activity. In fact, the Vishap Realm is the realm of pure, primordial elemental beings. It's actually referred to as the Light Realm in most books. The Seven Sovereigns of the Light Realm are the seven foremost elemental dragons at the pinnacle of the raw and primitive elemental forces.

Paimon: So that's why Tsuyuko called this the "Three Realms Gateway Offering."

Tsumi: "Three Realms Gateway Offering"... Not far off the mark, actually. But technically, I think it should be called the "Triangle Gateway Offering."

Sakura: Why exactly?

Tsumi: Because the source of the darkness from the void is the three towers at the corners of Enkanomiya's triangular borders.

Paimon: Oh, the three towers! The ones where we did those trials.

Tsumi: You've been there before?

Mei: Yes we have.

Paimon: It's a long story.

Tsumi: Oh.

Paimon: By the way, Tsumi, what's up with the weird mask?

IF: Why are you wearing it?

Tsumi: To hide my face. It has to do with some things that happened as I was growing up. I just don't want to scare anyone, that's all.

Sakura and IF: (Very suspicious.)

Tsumi: Does that make me untrustworthy in your eyes?

Paimon: No, not at all. You've been helping the wounded all this time, everyone must be super grateful to you. It's just that...

Sakura: I don't want to see another masked shrine maiden disappear...

Tsumi: Can't say I really understand what you're talking about.

Aether: I don't want to be betrayed again.

Tsumi: Me neither. I hate betrayal too.

Patrick: Betrayals are really bad. Someone losing their friends and family trying to force him or her to quit their dreams, being offered something to make someone betray someone, and a spy pretending to be friends with someone.

Neptune: Those are bad plot twists.

Tsumi: Anyway, if you want to rid this darkness from Enkanomiya, you can come to me for guidance. Of course... if you can trust me.

Sakura: We do... for now...

Tsumi: I'm going inside to tend to the wounded and check in with the new arrivals. Please excuse me.

After she finishes speaking, Tsumi heads to an inner room...

Paimon: What're we gonna do, guys? Paimon really wants to trust Tsumi, but... How about we go ask the wounded?

Neptune: Good idea.

Asuka: Maybe they will know something.

Compa I will tend to the wounded and help them heal. As a nurse I need to.

Sakura: Altera, Ishtar, Medusa, go patrol the skies and unknowns around Enkanomiya. If the Abyss Order is here, we don't want them bringing in any reinforcements or any surprise attacks.

Ishtar: We'll go do that.

Medusa: Just leave that to us.

Altera: No bad civilization allowed.

Altera and Ishtar take off then Medusa summons her pegasus and catches up to Altera and Ishtar.

Sakura: Aether, Mei, and I will ask around.

They go around talking to the soldiers.

Imaizumi: Greetings.

Paimon: Hello. We'd like to ask you about the masked shrine maiden, Tsumi.

Imaizumi: Because of her strange mask?

Sakura: Yes, because of the mask. What do you know about her?

Imaizumi: Well, you've come to the right person.

Paimon: Cool!

Imaizumi: I was one of the first people that she rescued. Straight away, I thought there was something very weird going on... Who is this shrine maiden who knows the lost ceremonies of Enkanomiya, and why is she covering her face with a mask? So I started pestering her about it. I wasn't going to let up until I got an answer.

Paimon: And?

Imaizumi: There weren't so many people around at that time, so eventually, she let me look behind the mask. It was actually pretty normal for the most part. There's just one thing she's trying to hide.

Imaizumi: Her eyes have snake-like pupils. Thin vertical lines.

Mei: Snake-like pupils? (Could she be an imposter? Or is she from the Abyss Order? Or is she a monster in disguise who can't change her eyes to human eyes?)

Paimon: Whoa! Weren't you scared?

Imaizumi: I probably would have been, if every Watatsumi Islander wasn't so familiar with our legends... or I should say, our history.

Sakura: Anything else?

Imaizumi: The first familiars of the Watatsumi Omikami were the Vassals of Watatsumi. Legend has it that they are a half-human, half-snake kind who helped our ancestors fight back the Bathysmal Vishaps.

Sakura: Could Tsumi perhaps be a descendent of one of those Vassals of Watatsumi? Or is she one of those Vassals of Watatsumi who has been living for a really long time?

Imaizumi: Maybe. They were said to have disappeared long ago. But then Tsumi showed up, and as soon as I saw her snake eyes, I instinctively trusted her. It's like the vassals have returned to help us in our moment of need.

Paimon: Huh...

Imaizumi: I'm no expert, by any means. But I think Tsumi can be trusted. As long as Tsumi stays around, we shouldn't have any problems.

Sakura: Thank you for the information.

They go to another soldier.

Enomoto: Hello, what can I help you with?

Paimon: Hi there. We wanted to ask you what you know about the masked shrine maiden, Tsumi.

Sakura: We need as much information on her as possible.

Enomoto: I see, I see. What're you looking to know, exactly? I've tried asking if she's seeing anyone, y'know, or whether she's looking right now... but she seems pretty tight-lipped about her love life.

Paimon: That's... not what we meant at all. We were more wondering... do you think there's anything suspicious about her?

Enomoto: "Suspicious," huh... suspicion, the unknowable, the unpredictable... unexplored territory... Mysterious? Enigmatic? Enchanting. Bewitching. Compelling, addicting. Yeah. Know what I'm saying?

Sakura: Enough with the jokes. You aren't taking this serious at all.

Aether: Be serious.

Enomoto: I am being serious!

Enomoto: Okay, look — if I had to pick one thing about her that's suspicious, I'd say... okay, two things. Number one, her mask. It's pretty scary, I don't know why she chose it. Number two, some kind of pendant fell out of her sleeve when she was bandaging me up. It looked like it was a broken-off piece of something. So maybe when you put them together, it makes a whole. Huh, maybe the other half is held by Tsumi's lifelong sweetheart...

Sakura: (Could that be one of the missing pieces like the one we have now?)

Paimon: Sounds like you hit the nail on the head. So you know, maybe ease off a little, bro?

Enomoto: I can feel a beard coming on. Oh! Do you guys think shaving it with a weapon would work?

Sakura: We've heard enough. Thank you for the information.

Mei: We'll be going now.

Lastly they go to two sleeping soldiers.

Paimon: It looks like they're resting. Let's not disturb them. Paimon thinks we've got enough answers now. Let's find somewhere to recap what we know so far.

Higokumaru: Why?

Paimon: Tsumi's just inside the room. It'd be a bit awkward if she hears us talking about her behind her back.

Sakura: Alright. Let's fill everyone in.

They go around the corner so Tsumi can't hear them.

Paimon: So here's what we learned from the soldiers. Tsumi's mask hides her snake-eyes, which the people of Watatsumi Island believe to be a distinguishing feature of Orobaxi's vassals.

Kiana: Snake people?

Mei: Maybe.

Paimon: Based on her actions, it seems like all she wants to do is protect the people of Watatsumi Island. And from what she said, she's doing everything she can to combat the darkness spreading in Enkanomiya.

Paimon: So she seems pretty trustworthy.

Aether: I agree.

Paimon: Then let's go talk to her about working together.

Sakura: I still have some reservations...

Paimon: Paimon gets it. Like, why is she covering her pupils when they're obviously an easy way to win everyone over?

Sakura: I'd she really is one of the vassals, then she has our trust for now.

Paimon: Guess we'll just have to see what she has to say for now. But let's keep our guard up, just in case.

Aether, Paimon, Sakura, Higokumaru, Tamamo No Mae, Mei, and IF go to the inner room to speak to Tsumi.

Tsumi: So, how's it going? Have you made a decision?

Mei: We have.

Paimon: Yep. Let's team up to tackle the darkness.

Tsumi: Okay. Then, take this.

She hands them over a box.

Tsumi: It's called the Bokuso Box. I found it in the Dainichi Mikoshi when I was looking for a solution. Actually, the Dainichi Mikoshi was where I found the method and tools for the Sentou Ceremony. Lucky I can read human writing.

Paimon: ...Uhh, why wouldn't you be able to? Or did you mean it's lucky that you can read the ancient Enkanomiyan script?

Tsumi: Oh, uh, nothing. I just meant the script in the Deep-Sea Healing Arts Compendium. I don't actually know if it's ancient or modern.

Aether: I'm getting more confused the more you try to explain.

Sakura: (She's really suspicious. But we'll trust her... for now...)

Tsumi: Never mind all that. Let's get back to business. The Bokuso Box collects light. It can dispel the darkness from the Void within a small radius. So for example, with the power of the Bokuso Box, you can turn monsters affected by the darkness back into their original forms. As it happens, there are some monsters causing trouble around the camp. Go and try out the Bokuso Box on them. I will join you shortly. Please, go and fend off the monsters. Don't forget to use the power of the box. I'm going to observe the movement of the darkness. I'll catch up with you shortly.

Taking the box from Tsumi, they go outside to test the box. Everyone else decided to come watch them. They talk as they go down the steps.

Sakura: It looks like Tsumi is trustworthy for now.

Neptune: Until she decides to double cross us and try to kill us!...

Asuka covers Neptune's mouth.

Asuka: Not so loud. She might hear us.

Sakura: Let's give this box a try.

They approach the monsters covered in purple darkness. Aether, Sakura, And Mei go. Aether uses the box and dispels the darkness on the monsters then kill them with several swift slashes. Tsumi comes down the steps to speak to them.

Tsumi: You're all good fighters.

Paimon: You bet. We were the ones who went and got the Bloodbranch Coral that one time, after all.

Tsumi: ...!

Kiana: Because we're a team and with teamwork we were able to beat all those Bathysmal Vishaps!

Tsumi: You...! So you...

Paimon: Wh—What's wrong?

Tsumi: Nothing. If what you say is true, then I'm sure that you'll be able to conquer the three border towers quite easily. Also, there are a few things I need to explain to you. According to what I have read, the fundamental purpose of the Watatsumi Goryou Matsuri is to use the serpent god's life force to awaken its second familiars: the Sangacorallia. They are creatures that break down raw, primitive elemental energy into the milder elemental energy of the human realm. The giant coral is a symbol that the Sangacorallia have been awakened by the serpent's blood. The mass awakening of the Sangacorallia causes a transformation in the ecological environment of Enkanomiya.

Paimon: Makes sense. Even if you took away the darkness and the monsters, Enkanomiya would still look pretty different now with all the new plants and ore around.

Tsumi: Things are even more complicated than usual this time. The darkness from the Void Realm seems to be suppressing things in the Light Realm and the Human Realm, causing them to come to a standstill. You may need to use the power of the Bokuso Box to dispel the darkness and allow the ecological transformation to continue. Please try to solve the problem using the Bokuso Box.

Sakura: Don't sorry. We'll dispel the darkness.

Tsumi: I'll wait for an update from you under the statue over there.

They go to a time trial challenge where it was covered in darkness but then they used the box to get rid of the darkness. Sakura and Aether take the challenge and defeat 3 giant slimes.

Paimon: Wow, it works! Let's go back and tell Tsumi.

They go to Tsumi where she was waiting at the statue.

Tsumi: It seems that you have mastered the Bokuso Box. Now, let me tell you about the ultimate purpose of this operation. As I said, we need to proceed to the three towers on Enkanomiya's borders. They are Towers of the Void, restored to their original form by a certain Abyss adherent.

Paimon: Abyss adherent? Wait, do you mean...

Tsumi: He's a purveyor of incessant nonsense. Somehow, he found out about the Three Realms and the three corners, and brought those things in using Abyssal technology.

Sakura: (Is that Enjou she's talking about?)

Tsumi: Then, he started disseminating Abyssal energy using the towers. This caused great suffering for both the Sangacorallia and the Bathysmal Vishaps. I don't know why he is doing this. For us, the Abyss is highly toxic, for them... intoxicating is more the word. Addictive, but still destructive. Maybe he just likes to toy with people and stab them in the back.

Paimon: Paimon knows exactly who you're talking about.

Mei: We all do.

Tsumi: You know him? Then it seems we have a common enemy.

Paimon: Oh, you bet we do!

Sakura: We've met him before while getting the Bloodbranch Coral. He tried to kill us but we beat him.

Patrick: We had a feeling that he would return and now he did.

Tsumi: To get rid of the darkness, you need to climb to the very top of the Towers of the Void and activate the Light Realm Chisel, which will let in the energy of the Light Realm. In Enkanomiya, the Ley Lines of the Human Realm, the elemental currents of the Light Realm, and the dark currents of the Void Realm are all exceptionally strong. Also, I only performed the Sentou Ceremony going off the steps in the book. But I believe the key to the ceremony is the statue in front of us. You can offer crystals of Light Realm energy to it to increase the Bokuso Box's power. Also, resting here can restore the box's energy. Please take this hand-drawn map. I've marked out the locations of the three towers for you. You'll need to explore one step at a time, and I'd recommend you start with this tower.

Sakura: Ok, we'll start with that tower.

Tsumi: Well, that's as much help as I can offer you. I'll be waiting here for the good news.

The party walks off then the 3 servants returned.

Sakura: Why have you returned?

Altera: It's too misty that we can't see a thing.

Ishtar: Enkanomiya is completely surrounded by purple mist.

Medusa: we can't see through the darkness.

Patrick: Then we know what we must do.

Neptune: Yes.

Everyone who could transform, transforms into what they were before entering Enkanomiya. They fly to the narrows to use the ghost fish to get to the tower at Yachimatahiko's Locus. Aether, Paimon, the foxes, Yumi, Kiana, and Siegfried go. When they got there, they pass through the gate and start walking to the tower.

Paimon: Whoa! That must be the tower Tsumi was talking about. Hmm, doesn't look very climbable...

Kiana: It does not.

Sakura: Which is why we have to go on foot to get there.

They take out their wind gliders and glide down to an area. There they encounter new enemies called Shadowy Husks. After killing them they follow an Electro Seele up till they got to the tower.

Paimon: Maybe we need to use the tower controller?

Sakura: We do.

They activate a tower controller.

Paimon: Okay, we're ready to roll! Um, but how do we get the towers to link up? Let's look for clues nearby.

Higokumaru notices a stone slab.

Higokumaru: What about that thing? Could that be a clue?

Paimon: Hey, this pattern seems to match the one on the tower. Could it be relevant?

Sakura: I think it is. Now let's get to work.

They use the 3 tower controllers and turn the tower around to get the right shapes then the tower assembled.

Paimon: All set. Now we can climb on up.

The boys climb first then the girls. They use the Bokuso Box and activate the Light Realm Chisel.

Paimon: The first one is done! But the Abyssal energy that was released when the towers connected doesn't seem to be disappearing...

Sakura: We still have to light the other two towers.

Paimon: The darkness is infiltrating the land and causing changes in the surrounding area. We should go check it out if we have time.

They and the whole party return back to Dainichi Mikoshi.

Higokumaru: Thats one tower down. Two more to go. Using that box really helps with enemies covered in dark aura.

Sakura: The next tower tower to light up is the one at Yachimatahime's Locus.

Mei: I will lead the next team.

Aether and Paimon go with Mei, Himeko, Homura, Okita, Fu Hua, Book of Fuxi, and Jingwai's Wings.

First they go to Evernight Temple where they take the ghost fish and get to Yachimatahime's Locus. They go through it and defeat enemies while using the Bokuso Box to get rid of the darkness. They get to the tower.

Paimon: We probably have to use the controller again for the second tower.

Mei: We probably do.

They use the Bokuso Box and get rid of the darkness from the tower controller then activate the other two. Jingwai's Wings and Paimon look for a stone with markings and found it.

Paimon: That must be the clue we're looking for! It looks like some parts are missing.

Jingwai's Wings: We're gonna have to figure out what the shapes are while spinning the tower pieces and do what you and the others did at the last tower.

Paimon: Hehe, no match for Paimon's greatest power: process of elimination!

They used the tower controllers and rotate the tower pieces then when they got the right shapes, the tower assembled. Then they climbed up the tower and use the Bokuso Box and activate the Light Realm Chisel

Paimon: The same thing happened again. When the towers connected, the darkness started spreading. The surrounding area has changed again. We'd better go deal with it when we have a spare moment.

Mei: Just one more tower and we're done.

They came back to Dainichi Mikoshi.

Kiana: One more tower and Enkanomiya is lit up again with light.

Patrick: I will lead the next team.

In the team with Aether, Paimon, and Patrick were Purple Heart, Green Heart, Seele, Drago, Jeanne D'Arc, Altera, and Ishtar. They go to the Serpent's Head after clearing a roadblock of Hilichurls. They get to the ghost fish then use the ghost fish to get to Kunado's Locus. When they get to the tower controllers they defeated Shadowy Husks guarding the place.

Paimon: Alright, final tower! Let's do this!

Everyone except Aether and Paimon: Yeah!

Paimon searches for the same type of stone with shapes till she found it.

Paimon: Should be the same clue, right? But the shape looks a little strange this time.

Drago: How so?

Paimon: Maybe if Paimon looks at it while flying upside down... Come on, you should look at it upside down, too.

Both floating creatures turn upside down and look at the stone upside down.

Drago: You're right. We follow the pattern upside.

They rotate the tower pieces then after getting the right shapes upside down, the tower assembled. They climb the tower up. First the boys then the girls. When they got to the top, they used the Bokuso Box and activate the last Light Realm Chisel.

Paimon: Yep, seems like there's no easy fix to get rid of the darkness.

Patrick: All three towers are lit.

Paimon: The surrounding area has changed again. But it'll be no big deal for us, right?

Purple Heart: Maybe.

Paimon: Should we go straight back and see Tsumi or sort out the changes around here first?

Jeanne: We go back to Tsumi first.

So they fly back to the others back in Dainichi Mikoshi.

Seele: It's done. All three towers are light up.

Patrick: let's go talk to Tsumi.

So they go to Tsumi and speak to her.

Paimon: Tsumi, we did it!

Kiana: All three towers are light up!

Tsumi: I can tell. It looks like all three towers have been successfully taken care of. The evacuation is now going much more quickly thanks to the improved environmental conditions. Most of the soldiers have gotten out...

Mei: That's good to hear, Tsumi. Thank you.

Tsumi: But it seems like something happened that I hadn't foreseen. Please come with me.

So they follow Tsumi to the entrance to Dainichi Mikoshi.

Paimon: There's darkness churning inside the Dainichi Mikoshi!

Tsumi: Logically speaking, all of Enkanomiya should be back to normal by now...

Tsumi: Unfortunately, this place has now become the most dangerous of all. I don't know why this is happening or what to do about it. But what I can tell you is the location of the guy behind all of this. I'm going to have to ask you to confront him and make him reveal his whole plan.

Sakura: (Enjou!)

Paimon: How did this happen?

Tsumi: I've been observing the flow of the darkness and I've noticed something peculiar.

Mei: What is it?

Tsumi: There was a faint vortex continuously absorbing the darkness. I can only assume that the flow must be triggered by his need for Abyssal energy. He is extremely dangerous. Even most vishaps would be no match for him...

Aether: Don't worry. I've been waiting for a chance to let loose on him.

Kiana: Don't worry. He's a glutton for punishment.

Patrick: We're gonna beat him for you.

Tsumi: Music to my ears. Thank you. If I have deduced correctly, he should be in the library area right now.

The whole party flies to the library area while carrying the ones who can't fly.

Sakura: The same place where we first met him.

Mei: He's back at the same place where we first met him, again.

Patrick: Then we'll give him a welcome once we meet him again.

They fly to The Narrows where they see the Abyss Lector.

Paimon: It's him!

So they get the drop on him by dropping down and surrounding him and pointing their weapons at him.

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": Oh, hey. I would say this is a nice surprise, but... it's really not that surprising. Look at you, venturing out into the darkness, doggedly fighting your way through, just to come and see me.

Sakura: Long time no see, Enjou.

Mei: We have you surrounded.

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": You're the only people I can think of who could actually pull that off. Still, what's with you joining forces with them? Didn't expect that.

Paimon: You're just trying to stall for time with small talk again!

Kiana: That won't work on us again!

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": ...Huh. I guess maybe you're not so clued up after all. Look, I understand that seeing me has gotten you a little agitated. But frankly, the fact that you're still so fired up and raring to go after the long journey here is a bit of a problem for me. So let's burn off that excess energy with a little exercise, huh! Just to calm you down enough to hear me out.

Sakura: Fine. Everyone back away. Aether, Mei, and I will take him.

Everyone steps back at a distance then Sakura, Mei, and Aether fight against Enjou.

Mei: We've been waiting to fight you again!

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": So have I!

They used their electro attacks on Enjou while Enjou uses his Pyro attacks on them.

Mei and Sakura slash through him very fast then Aether strikes the blow sending him tumbling back.

The fight ended when Mei and Sakura had him pinned down with their swords pointed at his throat.

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": Stop, stop! My life is flashing before my eyes!

Aether: Oh, then we're not finished just yet!

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": That woman, with the slender pupils, what does she call herself?

Paimon: Huh, how do you know about her?

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": Her name. What is it?

Paimon: She calls herself Tsumi.

Everyone gets back together. Mei and Sakura get off Enjou allowing him to stand up and float again.

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": Hmph. That Reptilian seems to be doing a pretty good job of human imitation.

Aether: Reptilian...

Sakura: She was only trying to help humans out.

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": Makes sense, doesn't it? The Bathysmal Vishaps are a highly intelligent and fast-evolving kind. There have been legends about this for over a thousand years now.

Mei: What are you talking about?

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": The "Vishap-people."

Paimon": Vishap-people"?Huh, sounds like the kind of nickname Paimon comes up with all the time.

Kiana: So like you.

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": Well this one comes from an old Enkanomiyan legend. When the Bathysmal Vishaps were defeated, they began evolving to survive. That is to say, they imitated the victors.

Patrick: What are you saying?

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": Eventually, this gave rise to a line of vishaps who were indistinguishable from humans except for their pupils. These were the Vishap-people. The story goes that they gradually infiltrated Enkanomiya and took over many high-ranking positions. Remind you of anyone?

Paimon: We did hear that Tsumi's pupils are vertical...

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": Yep. In good lighting, you can see that reptiles' pupils are thin, vertical lines. That's hard evidence that she's betrayed you right there.

Paimon: But she's been helping us.

Sakura: Don't say that she's going to betray us too!

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": She is just using you to get revenge on me. I mean, I betrayed them first. I formed an alliance with the vishaps. I said I'd plunge all of Enkanomiya into darkness so they could send their elites into the Dainichi Mikoshi and rescue their captive kin. In return, they'd allow the Abyss Order safe passage through their territory and help me rebuild the three towers. But they didn't know that the darkness of the Abyss was a terrible poison to elemental beings.

Sakura and Mei: Poison?!

Paimon: So they thought you had betrayed them?

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": I mean, I totally did betray them. To be fair, it'd be pretty humiliating for the Abyss Order if we unleashed the power of the Abyss on them and they were just frolicking around with no side effects.

Paimon: You are pure evil!

Kiana: Yeah! That's right! You are an evil villain!

Purple Heart: And a real antagonist!

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": Well, here's where we are now: Once she's done with you, she'll use the power of the Dainichi Mikoshi to suppress the Sangacorallia and create darkness to protect the vishaps.

Mei: We don't believe you!

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": They are probably diving down into the depths to rescue their imprisoned companions as we speak. It won't be long before the source of Bloodbranch Coral is completely cut off.

What he said made everyone change faces.

Paimon: Hmm, poor Bathysmal Vishaps, but still...

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": If you still want to save Watatsumi Island, you're gonna have to hurry.

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": You can use the mechanism I left behind to guide the light and dispel the darkness in the Dainichi Mikoshi.

Paimon: We don't believe a single word that comes out of your mouth!

Mei: That's right! You Abyss Order monsters are all liars and killers!

The Thing Calling Itself "Enjou": Ugh, come on guys, do you honestly have another choice? This is just another fruitless trip to Enkanomiya for me at this point. But no biggie. I'm just a marginal figure in the Order. Unlike those who are falling over themselves to serve our Highness, I'm interested in more inconsequential things. Yikes, I think I'm all out of time here. I'd better go. I would say "see ya," but... I probably won't. Here, I've got a parting gift for you. It's something I picked up at the Dainichi Mikoshi.

Enjou hands them something.

Paimon: This looks like part of the same set as the one that Kokomi gave us... Wait, now's not the time for that...

Then Enjou leaves through a portal while they were all fixated on the piece.

Paimon: Ugh, Paimon's so angry! He got away again! We can't trust that guy, even if he sounds like he's making sense. So let's go back to Tsumi and ask her about all this.

Mei: This better not be a trick. If it is a trick I'll use the Electro Archon's Musou No Hitotachi on him the next time we see him.

So they fly back to Dainichi Mikoshi to find Tsumi but she was not there.

Paimon: Oh no, Tsumi's gone...

Sakura: She must have decided that her duty was done and disappeared away.

Paimon: We couldn't have missed her on the way here...

Aether: ...Why does it always end like this.

Paimon: Aw, c'mon, it's okay. Don't be sad. On the bright side, most of the soldiers have been successfully evacuated. If any vishaps did come through here just now, at least no one will have gotten hurt.

Sakura: Yes. That's right. Everyone is safe.

Paimon: Even though just thinking about that guy drives Paimon nuts, it seems we've got no choice but to give what he said a shot. Let's get some light in here.

Patrick: So we can light our darkest hour.

Sakura: One group will go while everyone else stays here for back up.

So it was decided. The group had Aether, Paimon, Jingwai's wings, Patrick, Drago, Kiana, Mei, Sakura, Higokumaru, Tamamo No Mae, Purple Heart, Asuka, and Jeanne D'Arc.

They go to The mechanism at the Narrows first.

Paimon: This must be the mechanism he mentioned, but how do we reach it?

Sakura: On the platforms.

So they go up and get to the first Mechanism.

Paimon: How does it work? Hmm... since it has something to do with light, maybe the Bokuso Box should be able to activate it!

Mei: You're right it can.

So they light the first mechanism up and the darkness was dispelled. Then they fly to The Serpent's Head.

Paimon: That's the mechanism, right?

Kiana: It is.

They climb up and activate the second mechanism. They finally go to Evernight Temple.

Paimon: Ohh, that's where the mechanism is!

Sakura: Time to light the last one.

They climb up and light the last mechanism.

All three mechanism shoot lights at the tower at Dainichi Mikoshi and then a column of light came out of the tower.

Paimon: Paimon's shocked. It actually worked! For once, he didn't lie to us.

Aether: Technically speaking, he's never really lied to us.

Paimon: Well maybe with his sneaky way of explaining things, he doesn't have to! Why does Paimon feel like you two have reached some sort of mutual understanding!? That is not okay!

Sakura: For some reason he helped us.

Paimon: The Dainichi Mikoshi should be accessible again now. Let's get down there and see.

The party has dispelled the darkness over the Dainichi Mikoshi, but Tsumi is nowhere to be found. They meet back at the entrance to the Dainichi Mikoshi. They decide to head beneath the Dainichi Mikoshi...

Paimon: Oh, looks like we need to ride this thing down.

Mei: It looks like we're fighting against the Bathysmal Vishaps again.

The ones who can't fly step on the elevator as it goes down while the others who can fly, float down. When they reach the bottom, Bathysmal Vishaps show up just like last time.

Paimon: Bathysmal Vishaps! And dangerous ones by the looks of it. Guess they're the elites, huh.

Sakura: Looks like it.

Paimon: Still no sign of Tsumi, though...

Sakura: We better defeat them all. Let's spread out!

Everyone: YEAH!

Everyone spreads out like last time.

Dark orbs appeared and every time a Bathysmal Vishap ate one, dark energy radiated off of them. but the party used the Bokosu Box to get rid of the darkness. It wasn't long till the Bathysmal Vishaps stopped coming and they were all defeated.

Paimon: After a careful headcount, it seems like the baby vishaps aren't here anymore. Guess they got rescued...

Sakura: Looks like it.

Paimon: If the Bathysmal Vishaps really did come down here, that means that guy was telling the truth...

Mei: For once someone from the Abyss Order was telling the truth. Enjou feels different from everyone else from the Abyss Order.

Paimon: So... Tsumi really is a Vishap-person?

Kiana: Guess so.

Paimon: But we still haven't seen her anywhere. Where the heck is she?*sigh* Whatever. Let's head back up.

IF: Yeah you said it.

Everyone who could fly carries everyone up back to the Dainichi Mikoshi above... Just as they were heading out, there was Tsumi.

Paimon: It's Tsumi! Uh, what is she doing in front of the Dainichi Mikoshi?

Tsumi: Since you came back, I'm curious to know — did our rescue operation succeed?

Paimon: Some baby vishaps were rescued before we got there. But the old and weak vishaps went back in the water to hide after we defeated the elites.

Kiana: There were a lot of them but we still managed to beat them.

Paimon: Um, Tsumi... Are you really a Vishap-person?

Tsumi: I have no intention of explaining anything. Although I can communicate with you, I know all too well that interaction with humans can only end in betrayal.

Mei: What do you mean?

Tsumi: The conflict between our two kinds will go on forever. Before I leave, I'm going to destroy this light.

What Tsumi said made everyone draw out their weapons. All except Aether.

Sakura: We won't let you.

Kiana: Don't even think about trying to get past us. There are a lot of us. And only one of you.

Aether: You think you have what it takes?

He walks up to Tsumi.

Tsumi: Do not come any closer. And don't even think about trying to sneak up on me. This tower seems to hear my wishes... I just need to think the thought and it will change its brightness. And if I so desire, it will collapse before me. With the cognitive equivalent of a click of the fingers, I could destroy this source of great pain for the vishaps. So why... why can't I do it...?

Kiana: because you're hesitant to do it?

Paimon: Oh no, this is way more serious than losing access to the Bloodbranch Coral! What're we gonna do, guys?

Aether pulls out the two pieces.

Aether: Tsumi, do you recognize these?

Tsumi: It's...

Tsumi remembers her pendant. She takes it out then Aether hands the other two pieces over to Tsumi. She combines it with the other pieces.

Paimon: It's a pendant in the shape of... are those three entwined snakes?

Tsumi: This pendant has been with me for as long as I can remember. Why does it fit with your two pieces?

Aether: I think deep down, you already know the answer.

Tsumi: Don't be ridiculous. Are you trying to say that... that I...

Paimon: Paimon doesn't understand... This one is Kokomi's, this one is from the Dainichi Mikoshi, and Tsumi's has been with her all along...

Tsumi: ...

Sakura: What could this all mean?

Aether:  You belong to Watatsumi Island.

Tsumi: I grew up with the vishaps. My only possessions were this pendant and a few boxes of books. I learned human language and writing from them. But not long after that, Enkanomiya was left without a single human being. It became completely empty. Only recently did I finally have the chance to make contact with humans and learn what the things I'd read in the books really meant.

Paimon: Tsumi...

Tsumi: There is a saying in your human books that I've never understood until right now. "People belong where they are born, but creatures belong where they are fed." I am a vishap, not a human. So I'm going back to where I belong.

Sakura: Tsumi. You did many good things for us and the humans on Watatsumi Island. Even after I got my fox ears, I'm still human.

Higokumaru: And I used to be a human too till I turned into a fox demon then I turned into this little form. We share the same things with you.

Tsumi: We have nothing in common. I was never a human begin with. I've always been a vishap.

Sakura: Tsumi...

Tsumi: I guess the Dainichi Mikoshi isn't my concern. But we'll be back one day.

Tsumi leaves then disappears.

Paimon: Tsumi is gone.

Higokumaru: She is gone.

Paimon: Why did she suddenly change her mind in the end?

Sakura: We don't know.

Aether: Maybe Kokomi knows.

Paimon: Right. Kokomi will have definitely anticipated this possibility. That would be why she gave us the pendant fragment in the first place. Everything's resolved here. Let's go back and tell her.

Sakura: Let's move out.

Tsumi has made her choice. Regardless, the situation has now been settled.

Kiana opened a Void portal back to Watatsumi Island then after she closed the portal, everyone changed back. Then they go meet Kokomi. Only Aether, Paimon, Patrick, the ELFS, Higokumaru, Tamamo No Mae, and the Valkyries went close to Kokomi.

Paimon: Hey, Kokomi!

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Ah, you're back. The soldiers briefed me about what happened. You successfully worked with a shrine maiden named Tsumi to clear the darkness, but then there was an unexpected change at the Dainichi Mikoshi. Is that so?

Sakura: I'm afraid so.

Paimon: Yeah, that's right. But after that is where things started to get all kinds of weird.

Kiana: Things went downhill.

They tell Kokomi what had happened.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Really?

Mei: Yes...

Paimon: Uhh, sorry, Kokomi... Paimon feels kinda bad that we ended up giving your pendant away.

Sakura: Now Tsumi has the pendent and is now with her people again.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: There's no need to apologize. As I said, Watatsumi Island has no further need for it. It's a relic from back in the very beginning, when the Watatsumi Omikami reorganized the court and reformed Enkanomiya. The three pendants were given to the Dainichi Mikoshi, the Sangonomiya line, and the Vassals of Watatsumi. The original intention was that the common folk, the officials, and the divine vassals would all hold each other accountable. But today, only the common folk have flourished, while the other two bloodlines have declined. So the pendant is of little use anymore.

Paimon: Funny you should say vassals... One of the soldiers seemed to think that Tsumi was one of those. But actually, her vertical pupils meant that she was a reptile... She fooled us all.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: That's not true. Vassals of Watatsumi typically take on a half-human, half-snake form, symbolizing that they are the familiars of our serpent god. At least, they used to. Over time, the vassals gradually became identical to humans — all except for the pupils of their eyes. But Vishap-people and Reptilians... they're pure fiction. There is no evidence for their existence anywhere among Sangonomiya's classified documents.

Paimon: Oh, so Tsumi isn't actually a vishap?

Sangonomiya Kokomi: The Watatsumi Omikami exhausted its power to create Watatsumi Island, and after that, it grew weaker and weaker. No more Vassals of Watatsumi were born after that. But the records do mention the very last of the vassals... All our hopes were placed onto her. She was going to be the one who could communicate between the vishaps and the humans. But when she was just an infant girl, she and her guardian shrine maiden were attacked by vishaps at the border of Enkanomiya. Her whereabouts have been unknown ever since.

Mei: How terrible.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Most believe she died that day. But some believe she was raised by the vishaps. The people of Watatsumi owe a great debt of gratitude to the Vassals of Watatsumi. Now that the vishaps and Watatsumi Islanders no longer have a territorial dispute, I sincerely hope that she will find her way to where she belongs... wherever that is for her.

Paimon: What a story...

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Still, now that we know how Bloodbranch Coral works, I, as Divine Priestess of Sangonomiya, may need to think of a new way to counteract the Holy Soil phenomenon. For the time being, however, the issue is resolved, and all thanks to you. Watatsumi Island will be at peace for many decades to come. I can't thank you enough.

Sakura: Thank you Kokomi. We'll be taking our leave now.

The party goes a distance then stopped.

Bronya: Once again we've saved Enkanomiya.

Seele: Better think of what to do now.

Patrick: I think I'm gonna return back to Mondstadt. I feel like I need a break from Inazuma.

Kiana: If you're going, then I'll go with you too.

Patrick: Thanks Kiana.

Neptune: I'm coming too!

Vert: So am I.

It was decided that Patrick, the Valkyries, Aether, Paimon, some of the servants, and the cast of "Hyperdimension Neptunia" would return back to Mondstadt. Except Sakura, Kallen, Mei, Kallen's servants, and the servants from Japan.

The ones leaving go through a Void portal after saying their goodbyes before it closed.
