May 2014. Enrollment: "Alright fairies. I'm Himeko Murata. You shall address me as Miss Himeko or Instructor Himeko. The Principle may have approved your admissions, but I'll work you hard without mercy. Let's start with a standard roll call." Ordered Himeko. "Hah. You must have heard of me before. I am Kiana Kaslana. YEAH! That Kaslana! The most famous one." Kiana introduced herself. "I'm Mei Raiden, Miss Himeko." Then Mei. "Bronya Zaychik." And lastly Bronya. "Valkyrie Training at St. Freya High begins today you'll be graded based on your performance." Explained Himeko.

"What? Graded? Pfft. I'm no fairy, Aunt Homieko, I'm a seasoned warrior. Skip the training and deploy me to the frontlines NOW." Said Kiana. "Hmph. Address me as Instructor Himeko, suger. FYI, fairies, this "seasoned" warrior was fished out of Nagazora on a stretcher. She's very squishy." Said Himeko. "Hey! That was an accident! We Kaslanas defended humanity from the very beginning! I was fighting uber-OP Honkai beasts with my old man when I was a little girl." "Oh. I guess your old man is the real seasoned warrior for saving your skin, pixie dust." "I don't need saving! A normie like Aunt Himoko will never understand how we Kaslanas fight. We're born warriors."

"That's really rude, Kiana-Chan. Please apologize to Miss Himeko-Sensai." Said Mei. "The Bronya is not surprised by the Idiotka's idiot baka comments." Said Bronya. "Born warriors? Great. A normie like me always wanted to fight a born warrior." Said Himeko.

Kiana remembered when Himeko challenged her to a sparing match. The girl was defeated in an instant by the "normie". Every slash, pirouette, and cleave was executed with utmost precision. The girl had no chance. The "normie" displayed the true powers of physical conditioning and combat moves based on hard science. Before she knew it, the edge of the greatsword gave her a nick on the neck. The instructor looked into her eyes. "This is your first lesson, sugarplum." Said Himeko.

Present: That was Kiana's first lesson from Himeko. She kept on running remembering more of the past.

June 2014. After class: "What's on your mind, Kiana?" Asked Himeko. "Nothing." Answered Kiana. "Wha? That's not what your stupid face says. Alright, sweetheart. Tell mama what you're thinking about." Then she grabbed Kiana by the ears. "......KYAAA! Not my ears! I'm not a kid! Don't treat me like one. Hngh... alright. My stupid old man left me when I turned 12. I told myself that I'm not a kid no more. I gotta get used to living on my own." Finally Himeko let go of Kiana's ears. "Oh dear. Father's Day is coming. And I was a little worried that you're too stupid to get sentimental. Look sugar, you're luckier than me. Your old man taught you everything early on. And I used to think the world was rosy pink up till the age of 19. I thought life was good and filled with possibilities. I wanted to explore crazy places, do some deep sea photography, and settle down with a nice guy. And if that didn't work, I'll just work at my old man's applied Honkai energy lab."

"Eh? You'll work at a lab? Are you a scientist? Why did you end up as a Valkyrie with beefy arms?" "... because I work out and because life isn't perfect, sugar. My old man... he became a Honkai beast after an infection. Couldn't even recognize his little girl." "I... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked." "It's alright. I left it all behind and joined the Valkyries for answers. Granted, I was a little too old for that. But I met someone. She told me that getting started is the most important step of any endeavor. I joined her squad. She kept talking about the future... She wanted to become a gardener and teach kids how to grow herbs, berries, and flowers." "So did she become a great gardener in the end?"

"She made it to the KIA list. Her squad was disbanded. I thought about what she said and came here. I became a Valkyrie because I don't want sugar fairies like you to losing their fathers. But I guess too many fairies are leaving their fathers because of some heroic aspirations. They could get a job, fall in love, or make games... but they gave all that up to become a Valkyrie. A real shame. Is it worth it?" "I don't know. I didn't have a choice, you know. I guess someone's gotta do the hard work. My old man told me that Kaslanas boil over when they see people in trouble." "Thats gotta be the worst piece of advice. Hopefully your old man taught you something useful. Perhaps Fate took them away to make us treasure our friends and what we have. Come on, sweet heart, let mama give you a kiss. Nu-uh, sugar. I think it's about time you got some special girl-verses-girl training."

"Kyaa! NO! School's over already! Let's leave training till tomorrow!" "You're not getting away, sweet heart." The instructor ended up smashing her greatsword against the floor and wall until alcohol got better of her. The girl managed to haul the drunk instructor back to her room. Before she closed the door... ...the girl thought she saw the rosy-cheeked 19 year old again.

Present: Himeko lost her father because of Honkai Infection. She became a Valkyrie because she didn't want children like us losing our families. I knew that everyone in our squad lost their families. All except me. Lastly Kiana remembered her first deployment.

August 2014. First deployment: On the Hyperion, Kiana and her friends were going on their first mission with Himeko in charge. "Alright, fairies, this is your first field assignment. I will say this one last time... ... keep your eyes on the enemy *AND* your friends! Your friends may end up becoming your enemy! Valkyries are always at risk of the Honkai cascade. We know that Honkai powers our abilities and battlesuits. But it can overwhelm us and then us into mindless monsters. Every Valkyrie must be prepared. All of us are at risk. If you see a fairy experiencing the cascade... ...you *MUST* end her life right there!" Explained Himeko. "......but what if you're the one experiencing the cascade thing, Miss Himeko?" Asked Kiana. "Then you *MUST* do the same thing and my life right there! The cascade is irreversible. More will die if you hesitate. Head back to the dorms if you can't do this." "I... I understand. But if I... you know... get the cascade thing... I wish you're the one to do it, Aunt Himeko." "It'll never happen, sugarplum." "Oh?"

"As your instructor and Squad Leader, I won't let any of you get in trouble." "That sounds like a real plan. Hey wait, I need action! Gimme action!" "You'll act according to plan. Alright, fairies. Prepare for drop. Initiate field operations!" On the battlefield Kiana fought with Himeko. "It'll never happen, sugarplum." The same sentence was said again. "It'll never happen, sugarplum." And again.

Present: "You told me... If a friend loses herself to the Honkai... ...I must end her life right there... But why... Why did you..." Kiana was now crying from remembering Himeko's sacrifice. I sat her down on a bench and sat down next to her. I knew that she was suffering from Heroic: Blue Screen of Death or Heroic:BSOD for short. Losing Himeko and being told the horrible truth made her have an earth shattering revolution and to mentally shut down. She kept seeing herself as a monster.

September 2014. Transfer: I remembered the day I was told that I was being sent to St. Freya Academy. The day I became an A rank was when I was told that I was going to St. Freya High. I remembered while having breakfast with my family at my house that I was being told. "Now that I've become an A rank Knight... What's going to happen to me now?" I asked. "Now that you're an A rank... we've planned on doing this a while ago but... you will be sent on a secret mission and you will be transferring schools." My father told me. "Where will I go?" I asked again. "You will be transferring to St. Freya Academy in Japan. Don't forget, you're a freelance Knight. So you won't be transferring to Schicksal or working for Schicksal. You will be investigating Schicksal without our help. You still will be fighting against Anti-Entropy against Cocolia." My mother answered me. I was shocked at what she said.

"Are you kidding me? It's under Schicksal. The most reclusive organization on the planet. It's in Japan under Schicksal jurisdiction. We can't go there. Billions of people see them as saviors of humanity when they are actually murderers and liars." I said. "My host. We have to. The Herrscher of the Void will reappear over there and we have to go there." Drago spoke to me. "Plus only Valkyries go there. I can't go." I said. "You've met the qualifications to study abroad at St. Freya High. No one else in America is as strong as you are. You're the best of us. You always have been." My brother told me. "What will happen to me while I'm there?" I asked. "While you are training to fight the Herrschers there, you will investigate Schicksal on your own with Drago. And don't worry, you will be fine over there in Japan." Said my father. "For a while maybe. Until my cover is blown and Otto Apocalypse captures me." I said.

"We still need more truth from Schicksal. As long as you have me you will be completely safe. The only time to blow our cover and secret will be when we face against one of the Herrschers." Drago told me. "We've already called our old friend, Theresa the principle of the school and the principle accepted you. You will be studying abroad from now on." Said my mother. "...Alright everyone. Alright Drago. I'll go." I said.

Leaving the only home I've known for a really long time since birth was hard for me. Some of my friends were jealous that I was going to Japan but promised one day that they will visit me in Japan. My relatives were half sad and half proud that I was going to Japan. My neighbors were gonna miss me also. The community wasn't going to be the same without me.

When I was at the Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, everyone was bidding me farewell. "Goodbye... everyone... Goodbye... America..." Then I turned and headed to my plane to Japan.

Present:

All our adventures we had, all the missions we went on, I was wondering if they were all for nothing or were made to set us up by Otto Apocalypse. The Selene Ship was probably set up by Anti-Entropy to use against the Herrscher of the Void. And Otto needed to use all four gems not to power the ship, but to use them to reawaken Sirin and to use the Herrscher of Death's powers to bring Kallen Kaslana back to life.
