Patrick's point of view:

The wielder of the Divine Key Abyss Flower, the ace S-rank Valkyrie of Schicksal. Durandal's reputation proceeded us. Mei and I knew the odds were wildly against us, but we wouldn't flinch before the legend.

"I'm here to take Kiana Kaslana and Patrick Ewing with me." Said Durandal. Mei took a deep breath, tightened her grasp on her weapon. I did the same thing. "NEVER!" Mei and I screamed at the same time. "Over our dead bodies..." Said Mei. "We're never letting Otto reawaken Sirin or murder billions of more people again!" I screamed. "It was necessary for half of humanity to perish for phase one of the experiment to start." Said Durandal. "Go to h*** you lying villain!" I hissed. "I think not. I prefer if you call me the strongest Valkyrie in Schicksal." Said Durandal.

"D*****! We were so close!" I cursed. '4 months of running and hiding from Schicksal and now the hunt has come to an end! Durandal has us cornered! There's no escaping her! Has all this running and hiding been for nothing!?' "D***** Kiana! I told you that we had to return to them but no no no! You refused to return because you were scared that Sirin would kill them! Has all this running and hiding in Arc City been for nothing?!" "Not yet Patrick-Kun." Mei got my attention. "We can still get Kiana-Chan out of here. What ever it takes." "What ever it takes... If you want Kiana! You're gonna have to go through us first!"

"Seems that I will start with the former Herrscher of Lightning. Don't even think about trying to escape. Or else I will kill your friend." Said Durandal. Mei and Durandal jumped to the street and began fighting. "You can't take Kiana-Chan or Patrick-Kun!" "Let's see if I can." I watched the fight. Mei seemed to be holding out against Durandal. However, Durandal was far more powerful than us and I feared that she would come. Even with all that training Fu Hua gave us, it will still be not enough to beat Durandal.

Without Fu Hua and Drago to guide us now, we were on our own without them now. Durandal was winning, but Mei refused to give up as she kept getting pounded by Durandal. "This should come to an end." Durandal flew up into the sky and began to use her finishing move. She flew around fast in circles, then she charged back at Mei striking her and finishing her off. Mei finally had no strength left to continue fighting.

"That's enough, you have no chance of winning." Said Durandal. "We're not... finished yet..." Said Mei. "......" "I'm not leaving them to you..." "I like the look in your eyes. But your power still has to grow before it matches your will." Durandal jumped and disappeared in a blink of an eye back to Kiana and me. Mei couldn't do it, and now it was my turn.

"Hand her over, Mr. Ewing. And turn yourself in. Or else you will face the consequences." Said Durandal. I growled. "Gr! Never. I will never go back to that bas****! I cannot lose! I won't accept defeat!... You've been lying to everyone and murdered billions of innocent people! If I don't kill you, then all my running and hiding from Schicksal will all have been for nothing and pointless." Flashback from 4 months ago appeared in my eyes. "And billions of more people will get killed if Otto does the same thing again to Kiana. And I absolutely refuse to let him get what he wants! I cannot! I will not!" Then I screamed loud and lots of Honkai energy burst out of me and climbed up in height. I created another Honkai energy spike like before at Schicksal HQ.

Durandal struck her Divine Key into the ground to not get blown back by the force of energy. Mei did the same thing with her sword. "Patrick-kun..." then after a few seconds the energy exploded.

From the fire I appeared holding the Dragon Sword. "Zeroth Power." I said then the Dragon Sword glowed and changed form. My Divine Keys were all set to Zeroth Power. "Such willfulness. Being resistant won't get you anywhere. If you're fighting at Zeroth Power, then so will I. Zeroth Power." Durandal activates Abyss Flower's Zeroth Power.

This felt like Jotaro against Dio and Goku against Jiren. Both of us charged in very fast then when our Divine Keys clashed, it created a massive shockwave. Then we clashed more times. All Mei could do was watch.

Our weapons met again and locked in. "It doesn't matter how high you climb. I will not lose. Never!" Then she pushed me back and landed on top of a building. Fire appeared around the sword then I sent a fire slash at her only to counter with an energy slash that exploded with the fire slash. Then Durandal charged at me super fast with her Divine Key pointed at me but then I whipped out the Dragon Shield and it blocked her attack and created a shockwave then sent her skidding back. "After the Guardian Dragon Toriyama gave me the Dragon Divine Keys I trained myself on how to use them and to get stronger and faster incase I ever ran into you Durandal. Plus thanks to Sirin's illusion of the data space on the tower of Babylon I saw what Black Orchid and White Lily can do and figured out it's powers." I said.

"You still will never have a chance at defeating me. The Guardian Dragon might have made you stronger with his treasures, but that will never be enough." Said Durandal. "You are still forgetting one thing. There are others on this planet far stronger than the both of us. I met one of them that was far stronger than me and will be far stronger than you." "That won't matter, because I will get even stronger and be the strongest human in Earth!" Durandal stabbed her lance into the building then energy circles appeared underneath me. I quickly jumped out of the way before columns of energy shot from them. Durandal jumped after me. As I was going down I switched out the Dragon Shield for one of the Dragon guns in laser gun mode with rapid fire and shot at the Valkyrie only to spin her Divine Key around blocking all the shots.

Then we landed on the street. I switched to the Dragon Lance and brought back out the Dragon Shield. At the same time we threw our lances at each other and when they met, they created a shockwave that made us fall on our behinds and our lances came back to us. We got up at the same time. 'I'll try using my duel wielding skills now.' I told myself as I switched to the Dragon duel wielding swords. Durandal split her Divine Key in two and now held Black Orchid in her right hand and White Lily in her left hand. I charged in screaming and Durandal did the same and now fought with two weapons in our hands.

'I've managed to mimic some of my favorite fictional characters' moves in the dream training. Better try to use some of them. I'll start with Kirito's move.' I told myself in my mind. I got out of the fisticuffs and jumped back. "I won't let my training go to waste! I'll show you my new moves with my Divine Keys! Time fracture!" I triggered evasion and Time slowed down.

"Siegfried loved mimicking Arihato's slashes when he used the Judgement of Shamash. But now I'm going to mimic other Anime characters' moves! Starburst Stream!" Energy manifested in the swords then I did every movement Kirito did when use it the move and slashed as fast as I could while screaming.

"And now time will resume." I said as I jumped back as time resume before Durandal could strike at me. 'And now something from "Power Rangers" or "Super Sentai" or whatever people prefer.' Lightning manifested on the right sword while fire manifested on the left sword.

"Eat this!" I did a double slash with so much fire and lightning and did some damage to Durandal. And now I switched to the Dragon Hammer and changed it to resemble Thor's hammer. I held it up then lightning from the sky came to it and I shot the lightning at Durandal. 'I might not be able to win. But I may at least try to fire her out to weaken her so I can escape with Kiana and Mei.' I told myself before I switched to the Dragon Guns then shot ice freezing Durandal trapping her in ice. But then she easily broke out.

"Not bad boy... You managed to survive longer than anyone I've fought in the past. But now this fight must come to an end." Durandal flew into the sky and prepared her finishing move just like before. She flew around in circles then charged at me. But then I blocked her strike with the Dragon Shield while also with the Dragon Sword. She still kept going, refusing to stop. This was feeling like the Irresistible force paradox by the Chinese philosopher, Han Feizi. Where an unstoppable spear meets an immovable indestructible shield only it was a lance against a shield.

'What can I do?... Drago, Sirin, and Fu Hua are not here anymore... And Himeko's ghost can't help me... I don't know who to talk to for guidance. Wait. There is only one being I can communicate with... Toriyama!' I closed my eyes and tried to pray to the Dragon.

'Talk to me Toriyama... Please... Tell me what to do to protect Kiana from Durandal the wielder of Black Orchid and White Lily?' 'Clear your mind... Let go of your rage and your anger... protect the one you love...' I heard Toriyama in my head. In the temple he was meditating. "You have the power to defeat evil. Drago's power is yours now. My treasures are yours now. You have power over the mightiest evil. You can do it my apprentice. You may not be stronger than Durandal, but you still have the power to temporarily put her down."

I understood what he said, then a determined look appeared on my face. I concentrated my Honkai Energy into the shield and then I stepped forward and pushed her back a few feet. And then Honkai energy burst out of me as I glowed like a Super Saiyan from "Dragon Ball Z." "How is this possible?" Asked Durandal. "Drago chose me to be his successor. Toriyama chose me to wield his Divine Keys. And Major Himeko said to me and to Kiana that we can change this rotten world into the way we want it." The Dragon Divine Keys glowed too.

"This is my power now. I was gifted with it thanks to Drago and to Toriyama. I'm not using it to hide from Schicksal anymore. I'm using it to protect my friends and my family. Dragon Slash!" The elements manifested on the sword as I charged in and Durandal did the same. When our weapons met, the impact pushed her back this time. "I may not be able to beat you! But I can at least weaken you and slow you down! Finishing move!" I held the sword with both of my hands now. Then blazing fire manifested on the sword making it bigger. "Fire!.. Dragon Slash!... FINAL STRIKE!!!!!" I slashed her then she exploded and was sent flying back crashing into buildings and kept going on for miles.

The Honkai energy finally faded away as I breathed and sheathed the Dragon Divine Keys. "It didn't stop her. It only slowed her down. I better escape now." I said as I jumped back to Mei and to Kiana on top to the building where the giant vine was still there. "I'm gonna get you both out of here. She isn't gonna be down long. Tell me where the Hyperion is and I'll get us there." I said. "We can't... Schicksal will destroy the Hyperion and take Kiana-Chan away. Save yourselves Patrick-Kun. Forget about me. Go. Get as far away from Arc City as you can." Said Mei. "I can't leave you here." "Saving Kiana-Chan is more important than saving me now. There will be another chance where we can return together. Now go. I'll find you again. You'll be alright." "Ok. We will Mei-San. I'll find you again when the time is right. Tell Theresa and the others that we're sorry we had to do this." "I will." I picked Kiana up, then I flew away in the distance as it was becoming dawn, leaving Mei alone on top of the building. Now she was in tears. Not because I ran away with Kiana, but because of how weak she was against Durandal.

My jacket and Kiana's jacket flew to her as she took hold of them and held Kiana's jacket closer to her. "Nothing I can do at all... nothing..." A mix of violent and involuntary shuddering overcame her. Regret, self-blame, and anger exploded and tore her apart. Durandal's casual remarks and moves felt suffocating.

Then she screamed out like Joseph Joestar. "KIANAAAAAAAAAA-CHAAAAAAAAAAN!"

Recalling their encounter only sank her deeper — she failed to save her loved one, and me. But Mei simply couldn't wipe Kiana off her mind, not for a second. The joyful time at St. Freya felt like yesterday. But in a wink, the big-hearted girl was turned into a slave of Honkai with a wickedly chilled smile. Because of Schicksal.

She finally got to see her again, only to drown in deep despair watching her taken away. Everything had changed, everything but the timid, hopeless girl she had always been. She knew Kiana was leaving her, further and further.
