Manvi seemed happy to see the person. She hugged him and then pulled him in.  He was a handsome young guy, a year or two elder to manvi. She pulled him in and looked at her parents.

“Maa, he's my friend Aarav Mehra. Ye kuch din yahin rahega. “ she said.

Vineet raised his eyebrows..

“he could check in any hotel. “ he said.

Manvi smiled because her father showed his fatherly instinct.

“Papa, wo bas kuch din yahan rahega. Fir delhi jayega. “ she informed.

Ruhana held Vineet's hand…

“Thik hai na Vineet. Rehne do. “ she said and asked Manvi to show him the guest room.

Aarav followed Manvi. Vineet moved into his room and sachin eyed Ruhana…

“Hai kaun yeh? Aur isey kyun yahan rehne ki ijazat di hai? “ he asked.

Ruhana looked at him… “Manvi ka dost hai. Shayad wo Vineet ko treat karne mein koi help kar paaye. “ she said.

Sachin tended to think… “Okay!! I hope he helps. “ he said.

Ruhana smiled lightly…. “i really hope. “ she said.

Sachin tapped her head and left the place.

Guest room

Aarav kept his suitcase in a side and looked at Manvi. She hugged him again, tears welling up in her eyes.

“Thanks Aarav. Yahan aane ke liye. Maine dekha maa kaise sambhalti hain sab. Main nahi kar sakti. “ she said.

He parted the hug and wiped her tears…

“Hey, Tum itni weak nahi ho. Main hoon na, hum mil ke tumhare papa ko treat karenge. “ he said.

“Par aarav wo bhool jaate hai. Kabhi kabhi maa ko bhi nahi pehchante. Maine suna hai kabhi kabhi aise patients ko special care mein rakhna padta hai. Aur main nahi chahti papa ko akele chhodna. “ she said.

He made her sit on the bed and held her hands…

“Manvi, trust me. Hum sab kuch sambhal lenge. Papa aur Maa dono ko. Tum mujhe unki case file dogi tab hi main kuch kar paunga. Unke habits note karne honge, how does he react? Koi specific timing ya kabhi bhi he gets lost in his mind. “ he said.

She was just listening or say staring in blank.

“Manvi tum sun rahi ho? “ he asked.

She came out of her trance and looked at him…”kuch keh rahe they tum? “she asked.

He sat beside her… “kya soch rahi thi? “

“kabhi socha nhi tha aarav ki papa ko is haalat mein dekhungi. Nahi pata tha ki mere papa hi mere pehle patient ban jayenge. It's hard Aarav. Jab mom ko unhe sambhalte dekhti hoon toh lagta hai ki kaise karti hai. Chot unhe bhi lagi hai fir bhi chinta hamari hai. “ she said.

“Bahut mushkil hai aarav. Samajh nahi aata kya karu, kya na karu. Kab wo din aayega jab maa aur papa dono honge mere sath. Wo ab bhi hain, par puri tarah nahi. “ she said tearily.

Aarav side hugged her… “We'll bring them back. Main hoon na! Sab acha hoga. Mujhe reports dekhni hain. “ he said.

She wiped off her tears…

“main laati hoon. Tum fresh ho jao. “ she said and left the room. She walked to her parents room and saw Vineet sleeping while Ruhana arranging her things.

“kya chahiye mannu? “ Ruhana asked without looking at her.

Manvi walked to her…
“aapko kaise pata main hoon? “ she asked.

Ruhana smiled…

“Maa hoon teri. Tere kadmon se hi pehchan sakti hoon tujhe. Anyway, kuch chahiye tha? “ she asked.

Manvi hugged her… “aap sabka dhyan rakhti ho, kuch khudka bhi rakhlo. “ she said.

Ruhana smeared her head…

“Meri beti hai na mera dhyan rakhne ke liye. “

Manvi parted the hug and looked at her..

“Papa ki reports dedo. Aarav dekhna chahta hai. “ she said.

“side table par hain. Aur haan usey bula lo. Main lunch laga rahi hoon. “ she said.

Manvi picked up the file and turned to Ruhana…. “Main kar lungi. Aap rest karo. “ she said.

Ruhana smiled and cupped her cheek… “I'm fine. Tu ja. And han sameer uncle se baat zaroor karlena. “she said.

Manvi nodded and rushed into the guest room while Ruhana went off into the kitchen. She prepared some quick dishes with the help of the maid and laid the table. Manvi came out and said…

“mujhe bula leti mumma. “ she said.

“Koi nahi. Tum papa ko utha do. “she said.

Manvi nodded and moved to her parents room and nudged Vineet…

“papa! “ she called.

Vineet turned in his sleep.. Manvi smiled…

“papa utho. Dekho lunch is ready. Mumma calling. “she said.

He opened his eyes and looked at his daughter. She smiled. He sat up.

“chalo na papa. Don't be lazy. “ Manvi said.

She pulled Vineet out of the bed and took him out of the room. Outside, Aarav and Ruhana were talking. Vineet sat beside Ruhana,unknown of Aarav's presence. Aarav greeted him while he gave him a confused look as he didn't remember him.

“papa he's aarav. Subah bataya tha na. “Manvi said.

He tried to Remember but he couldn't, instead he held his head. Manvi tried to talk but Aarav stopped her.

“Vineet sochna chhodo. Khana khao. “ Ruhana served him food.

He silently had his food, and moved to his room.

Manvi looked at Ruhana… “papa ko kya hua? “ she asked.

“It happens. Let him rest. Unhe kuch bhi yaad karne ke liye majboor mat kijiye. “Aarav spoke.

Ruhana nodded while he asked Manvi to meet him in a while.

Winding up the work, Ruhana went into her room and finds vineet lost while Aarav told something to manvi, that left her in thoughts.
