Rapture by StalactiteBlog. 

OVERVIEW

TO THE POINT: I didn't like it. Nothing stood out. I've read it a million times. 

MORE DETAILED: I'm going to summarise Rapture how I interpreted it, even though I can hardly ever remember half of what I read. 

Rapture is about Vanessa Roberts, I think, who has a dark, scarred past  that has changed her life forever  after the death of her family member and she goes from the good girl  to bad, cold girl,  yet still manages to seem like one of the most ordinary, banal and lame teenager I've ever read about. 

Then there's her crush, Alec something who is played by Matthew Daddario from Shadowhunters. And Alec's character? Well, this blog post sums him up:

Then there's the generic female BFF but I'll get into detail about all that in the Characters and Character Development Category~.

In short, I didn't like Rapture. Looking at the cover it looks like it's going to be a melancholy, serious, dark, sad, sob story about love and pain and all of that, but when you open it there's literally nothing that sets it apart from all of these books:

And numerous more.

But come ooooooonnnnnnn.

COVER: 2.75/5

The only thing the cover has really going for it is the woman in the background who looks sad and teary-eyed. I'd recommend you go for a less misleading cover, one that shows it's a nice teen fiction rom com, yeah?

I'd like to just pause and make a comment on the third cover. There's a subtitle that got cut off that I thought I should address. 

I laughed here cuz that's literally every single book in the teen fiction section  of Wattpad. 

Ah gosh, I love you Wattpad. I'm taking a break for some hot chocolate I'm too sober for this.

EDIT: Hot chocolate didn't make me any less susceptible. Thanks, caffeine.

STORY CONCEPT: 2/5.

Nothing stood out. I've read it a million times. I've said it a million times. Next.

GRAMMAR: 4/5

I've seen some really awful grammar out there in crack fic and regular fanfic that should be categorised as crack fic. So the grammar in this novel was great enough. 4/5. 

CHARACTERS AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: 1.75/5

Needless to say, I added Paige on Goodreads after she said everything I've been too lazy to reepat—I'm basically a stuck record at this point. 

WRITING STYLE: 2/5

Nothing stood out about the writing style. 

PACING/ORGANISATION: 3.5/5

I didn't experience any issues with the pacing or organisation, or maybe I was too numb to really pay attention to it.

WAT IT ENJOYABLE? 1/5

No. It was average Regular. I suggest you visit other review books with some more susceptible reviewers for some laudatory words if that works for you?

I gave my honest opinion on everything.

EDIT: Needless to say this entire review can be considered premature because I've only read the first 3 chapters. 

Alec isn't necessarily a bad boy, from what I've read, but he isn't-very far from it either. This is all my personal opinion from what I've seen of the first 3 chapters, and I'm sure to other readers this work would be beautiful and something definitely worth their time? 

But for me? 

I'm different, I didn't find it different or interesting. 

Again, StalactiteBlog, I do seriously recommend that you apply Rapture for other review books to get fourth and fifth opinions to compare them to. However, I'm almost sure that mine will be the most cutthroat by far. And if it's not? Well, 👌.
