Make it easy. Think about how bitterly ridiculous it is and laugh. Laugh until you lose your mind, and don't do it because you're trapped; do it because you're above it all. Find it funny. Search for the humor in pain and then grin at all that lonely space. Be independent of time. Don't bother the tick tock tick tock tick tock and don't think about the counting of minutes and days and years; you are beyond time. Detach yourself. Use your eyes outside of your body and watch the world from a view alien to others. Detach yourself and whatever you do, do it for yourself. Laugh. Spin through the room with chains clattering against your wrist and dance in your nightgown through the halls of execution.
