She was breaking down. Y/n's barriers were falling, crumbling, and any type of glue could patch it up. She sat in the violetblood's arms, sniffling from a recent sobbing. Her legs were curled up on top of Cronus, her head on his chest. A movie was playing in the background, turned down low when he realized she had something on her mind. 

A conflicting feeling had been on her mind since three weeks ago. She had found the boy of her dreams, or so she thought. He wasn't perfect, he wasn't super sweet to her, but it was someone who Y/n could be with.

But then she saw Cronus in a light. He sat with her when she was alone. He pulled jokes to make her smile light up. He made her feel so damn special over the smallest things.

And it hurt, because she didn't know who to love. Off and on, it was either her current boyfriend or her best friend for twelve years. She didn't know what to do.

"You wvanna talk nowv?" Cronus soft, lilting voice asked. She grabbed another tissue to blow her nose and shook her head. She was too tired, and just wanted to rest with the perfect boy in front of her. 

He was perfect, he was sweet to her, he's someone she could be with. But the confusion kept coming back because she knew she had to love her boyfriend. A wave of tears began to creep behind her eyes and she buried into Cronus's white muscle shirt. He smelled of sea salt and peppermint.

"I don't know what to do," She mumbled. Cronus rubs her back lightly, noticing the quiet, broken voice in his shirt. "I don't know what to do with B/f/n and you." He looked at her with surprise and confusion. She looked up, snot unattractively dripping out and tears making her face red. 

"I love you, Cronus. I love you more than I love B/f/n and that's not good." She laid her head back down on his chest, his face a bright mess of purple.

"But it's not too bad, either." She finally got it off her chest.

She finally could rest.

She slowly falls asleep to the soft touch of Cronus and the noise in the background. All she could hear when drifting off is 

"I lovwe you too."

What was she to do?
