"Mom, please! I want to see him!" I yell, tears welling. "Y/n, you are not allowed to see that monster! He's not normal!' She tries to explain. "You're so judgemental! We're all different!" I scream. Her eyes harden and she says quietly. "Not like you and him, you bitch." Tears fall. "Fine then." I rush to my room and stuff my art supplies, a book, money, phone and camera. And one picture of my friends. I walk out the door, Mom was still yelling at me. My black mascara is melding into my tears. I wipe them away and head towards the sea.

Now, I never told you the whole part. I am different from most humans; I have a tail. A thin tail with a tuft. My only friend who supported me was Cronus Ampora. He's a seadweller with gills and fins. He doesn't judge me. "Cro!" I cry out. "Please tell me you're hearing me!" I sit on a rock, shaped from the crashes of the waves. I hear a splash and Cronus got out of the water. "Wvhat's up, doll?" He says smiling. Until he sees my face, my ugly teary face. "Wvhat happened?" He asks quietly and gently. "M-my mom," I sniff. "S-she's right." I break down. "The girls at school are right, my friends are wrong, Mom was right I'm just a bitch!" He stares at me, in shock. I've never broke in front of him. I used to be so strong, but inside I feel like I'm decaying. He scoots closer and put an arm around my shoulder. I saw him do this to every girl, but he seemed truly gentle around me. "Sometimes I just want to end it all." My voice sounded hollow. "No one's letting me be me!" I wrap my arms around Cronus, not caring if my jacket gets soaked." He stiffens but loosens. "Doll, I'll alwvays be here. For you." He forces my head up and stares into my leaking eyes. "I knowv that feeling. I felt like that wvith all the others, since I'm so different." His eyes are sad, and are starting to become violet from his tears. I can't see him crying. He is my best friend. My confidant. My love. "S-she thinks I'm a freak." I cuddle into his chest." He holds me tighter and I feel drips on my forehead. Purple tears. I look up and Cronus's eyes are shut tight and he says, "I think you're beautiful. And smart, and wvonderful." He opens his eyes and they're pools of sadness. I lean in and our foreheads touch. "I get that crass too. About my fins. I wvanna be human like you." He whispers. "But Cronus, I love it that you're different like me. We belong." I wipe away his purple tears from his baggy eyes. He scoots a little closer and plants a peck on my cheek. I stare at him in shock. He looks ashamed and moves away. "I knewv it. I messed up again." He starts to walk away, faster and faster and faster. "Cro! Please don't go!" I reach out and grab air. I pull my useless self up and run after him. He slowed down walking dejectedly. I run into his back and hold him tightly to me. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I'm the one who fucked up!" I cry. He turns around and I kiss him on the lips. He's startled, I don't even need to see. Then more purple slide down his cheeks onto my face. He kisses back and holds me close. We break the kiss and just stand there, crying and holding each other. "Nevwer leawve me. Please, promise me that." "Please don't walk away. I need you. Promise me." We say. Then together; "I Promise."
