The Theorist and the Seer of Conspiracies (Jude X Blind!Reader)
"Alright Officer L/n, you may think I'm crazy, but lizard people are a legitimate threat and they are taking control of the government." A static-filled voice echoed throughout my dad's office. I chortle at the voice. Jude Harley, AKA the conspiracy weirdo, was calling my dad again for another theory. I talked with him once, but Dad doesn't think I should. I don't mind, though. It's not dull like when talking to only him and Mom. "Harley, you gotta stop calling us," Dad grumbled. "Wouldn't we know if the feds and president were of reptilian nature?" I heard Jude snort into his device, making me laugh louder. "Of course you wouldn't notice, you don't have the proper equipment!" I heard Dad sigh and get up form his chair. "BUT! I could loan it to you if I may have access to police files." I push up my shades and grab my cane. I walk over to Dad's desk and sit in the seat placed by the desk. "Harley, you're not going to bribe me with your childish antics. I'm going to leave the phone after today and you are to stop calling." Dad got up, his chair screeching and hurting my ears, and stomps out of the room. The vibrations of this old office could reach me on the other side of the room. "Fine, your call, but remember the name 'Jude Harley' when the lizards attack!" He sounded huffy, but didn't hand up. I felt around the desk and got the phone in my hand. "Hello?" He says. "Hey Jude!" I say, smiling to myself. "It's Y/n. So, what's going on with lizards?" "Ah yes, my favorite colleague!" He exclaimed and I felt my face heat up a bit. "Do you think you can come to the Harley House today? Maybe I can show you my evidence." He sounds so excited. "I dunno, maybe I can convince Mom to take me. Dad doesn't like you so much." He huffs once more. "It's not my fault his job is being given to him by lizard people! He must be working with them!" I chortle once more and say, "I'll get there as soon as possible." "Y/n, what are you doing, honey?" Dad grabbed my arm. "We have to go home now." "Bye Jude!" I hang the phone up and Dad takes me by the hand. I stumble a little bit, but I level myself with my cane.
"Hey Mommy, can I go to Jude's today?" I ask her. "I really want to listen to him talk about conspiracy theories." "Sure baby, I'll walk you over in a few." I stay quiet on my chair, tapping my feet against the floor. I am wearing fuzzy socks and they are the best things I could ask for right now. I hear Mom place whatever she was working on down and I hop up. "Careful Y/n, you don't want to fall and knock your head." I grab my cane and we start walking with my mom in tow. "Honey bunches, please slow down!" She yelps. "Mom, I'm fine, let's go already!" I grin and feel around for the car door's handle. Mom sighs and opens the door for me. "You must be more careful or you'll hurt yourself." I strap myself in and jitter in the seat; I just want to get out of the suffocating house full of worry. The drive was full of a lecture on not climbing any trees or letting people lead me anywhere but towards the house or making sure that I actually know the babysitter and Please be careful sweetie remember you can't see! I climb out of the seat once we made the stop. "You don't need to come to the door Mom! I'll be fine!" I call out to her, my cane bumping on the ground. I can feel the anxiety coming off of her in waves, but I feel someone's hand on me right after I touched the doorbell. "Cadet Y/n!" A sort of nasally voice said. I make a big smile and Jude yanks me into the house. "Today we have a lesson on lizard people and their plans to take over the world." I nod my head and Jude leads me to the apparent tree house. He helps me up with a small boost, all while talking rapidly. "I know it all may sound strange, but there is even film evidence on the subject!" He exclaims. I sit in Jude's chair and he hops around, the thumping of his feet making the chair shake a little. "They didn't reproduce like regular humans with other humans, but they work with the human code, like DNA." "The thing that holds all of our information right?" I ask. "Yes, in simplest terms." I heard him rustle a couple of papers. "Many ways of recognizing lizard people, or as you may know now reptilians, are..." And I listen to the boy for the rest of the day.
"What is life?" We went back outside for the cool air and we ended up lying on his lawn. The grass was not cut and it poked into my back, and there were leaves everywhere, but I loved laying down with Jude. "Honestly, there are no scientific reasons. Probably because of tacos." I snort and laugh out loud. "I think I'm here for cake actually." Jude giggles and I flop onto his stomach. I felt him tense up but he pats my head. "What kind?" He asks. "F/f. I get it on my birthday and when I go to the optometrist." "I get tacos when Roxy orders Taco Bell, which is a lot." I felt him sit up and I do the same. "Hey! Why don't you stay for dinner! We can get f/f cake and tacos!" He said in a happy voice. I laugh and hug him tight. "Give me a phone and I'll call Mom." He hugs me back and leads me to the house.
After getting a yes from Mom, I was laughing over tacos and cake, Jude and Joey telling jokes and Roxy handing out a bunch of food. It was the best night ever! I have friends who aren't worried for me and I have people who actually will hang out with me and not feel pity! I snort at a particularly funny joke when I hear the doorbell ring. "I'll get it!" Jude yells and he runs off to open the door. "O-oh, hi Mr L/n." I get up from where I was sitting and grab my cane. "Did I say that Y/n could come over to your home?" His loud, booming voice said. "I heard that Mrs L/n let her come over." "Well, I didn't say that she could." I walk over to them and Dad grabs me by the arm. "Dad, I wanted to come here, they are nice." I say quietly. "You are delicate and too fragile to be near these parentless children!" He said in a harsh voice. I flinch. I hit him in the shins with my cane. "I am not fragile!" I shout. "And they are nicer than you are, you said that they are orphans to their face!" I hit him once more. "They have a father and a Roxy, so you can leave this house without me!" "Sweetie-Pie, you gotta go home with me-" "Go to purgatory and pray to God they let you out!" I spit at him, or where I think he is. "Wow." I heard Jude whisper. Dad grumbled and walked out of the house, the door slamming too loud to be reasonable. "Sorry guys," I sighed, ruffling up my hair. I felt someone tackle me and I laugh. "You are the best person!" Jude exclaims. "You stood up to Officer L/n, the Reptilian leader!" I laugh harder and hug him tightly. I reach up to his face and his smile is almost half his face! "Whoa, you feel warm, you okay?" I ask a bit concerned. His face becomes warmer. "I-I get warm when I like someone." He says shyly. I smile and we get up, him helping me up. "Well, I like you too, Jude!" I smile and he hugs me once more. His face was still warm and he leads me to his room. "You got anymore conspiracies?" I ask, sitting on his spinny chair. "Oh, Y/n, you will have to stay here for years!" He said in a happy tone. "First, we're going to go back with the Illuminati and who might be in it. Many political figures..." I smile and listen to Jude Harley, the boy of Theories and Nerd-dom, and my best friend in the world! Or possibly many worlds? I mean, there are aliens out there. At least, that's what Jude tells me.
