I calmly turn on the speaker and connect my phone to it. I hold my breath, hoping it will work. The first notes play and I smile. No one was in the kitchen, not even Cronus with Kankri. I start sorting out the dishes, from plates, bowls, and utensils. The guitar from the song strummed and I softly sing along, swaying a little. 

"I was quiet as a mouse,
When I snuck into your house,
And took roofies with your spouse,
In a nit, and out a louse.
Lice are lousy all the time
They suck your blood,
Drink your wine.
Say shut up and quite your crying
Give it time, and you'll be fine."

The guitar continued without Kimya Dawson's voice. I finish up with about a quarter of the dishes, smiling at how little I have to do. Maybe I'll have time to start a book, or maybe I could start a new drawing. I heard a click of the door. Possibly Eridan, looking for his new cape I made him.

I nod my head to the music, smiling softly. I love the quiet and I miss the solitude. Usually Dualscar's descendants run around, shouting and teasing each other. Even Cronus is loud! I chuckle to myself, remembering when Eridan hid all of Cronus's cans of hairspray. Cronus even looked outside, in the pool shed. I finish up more of the dishes.

"I like boys with strong convictions,
And convicts with perfect diction.
Underdogs with good intentions,
Amputees with stamp collections,
Plywood skin boards ride the ocean,
Salty noses, suntan lotion.."

I pause when I feel two arms go around my waist. I turn around to see the familiar face of my boyfriend; Dualscar. I smile softly, singing a little. "Didn't realize I'd be home early, huh, doll?" He drawled. "No, I guess I didn't." I say, a bit giggly. His slight Scottish accent always sounded so different to me, and I love it. He takes me by my hand and begins waltzing with me. We go around the room, just smiling and listening to Kimya sing.

But they always wait til they're under the covers

"I'm sure glad we're not lovers."

Dualscar spun me around, making me laugh full out. "I havwen't heard that in a vwhile, girly." He said amused. "Well, I haven't had a reason to laugh." I get spun once more, making me giggle. Here I am, just dancing in the kitchen, covered in soapy water. "We're kind of ridiculous, aren't we?" I say. That gets a chuckle from him. "I guess, but personally." He dips me down and grins. "I like ridiculous."

I lean in and he leans in as well. We kiss sweetly and shortly, him smiling slightly. I place my arms around his neck and he pulls me up. "You knovw I lovwe you, right Y/n?" Dualscar holds me by my waist, looking at me with violet eyes. I smile and peck him on the cheek. "Of course, Dually. I love you too." I hug him tight and we stay there, just swaying slightly to the last strums of the guitar. I look up at him and smile again. He looked so relaxed and his eyes were closed. He opened them once he heard me sigh. He leans down slightly and kisses me once more. This one was for a longer time. Just as sweet, just the same. I suddenly heard an 'aww,' with a slight Scottish accent going through a laid back tone. I break off the kiss to see a happy Cronus and a blushing Kankri. "Really, Cr9nus, we must n9t intrude in such a manner," The flushed cancer troll said. I laugh out loud and rush over to the kids. I hug them both, after getting permission from Kankri, and giggle as they both walk away, Cro's arm around Kan's. Dualscar wraps his arm around me and looks down at my smiling face. He pecks my nose and hugs me tight. The song had long ended. I look behind me and sigh. 

I still have dishes to do.
