Remembrance (Signless X MutantBlood!Reader)
**Legit I don't feel like writing right now, but it's the only thing tiding me over. School is starting on Monday, and even though I adore school, I can't help but feel dread for the social drama. It's the main reason why I left my normal school in the first place, so I'm queasy and anxious. I hope you enjoy this.**
Signless's POV
"W)(ale look who we )(ave )(ere!" The Condesce grinned at me with stained lips. I growl at her, my hands locked behind my back. "Looks like the lil guppy wants to go back to his safety pond," She cooed, leaning down to look at me. "Too bad nobubbly wants to come by." I stay silent, and she goes away, obviously bored with my silent treatment. "Go put )(im in the cells, I've )(ad enough taunting )(im." She sat on her throne and waved me away with the flick of her hand. I felt someone tug on the chains that was connected to my hands and neck. A small hand pushed my back. I stiffen up and was ready to snap the neck of whoever dared to touch me, but a voice whispered frantically. "Please, if you speak I will be harmed as well. Just walk." I obliged after hearing the fear in the troll's voice. We walked past the more serious and dangerous guards, them only looking down at us with cold eyes. The troll that led me to the cell unlocked it, and pushed me in slightly. "Sorry to do this," I heard them mumble. I felt my cuffs be taken off, as well as the metal around my neck. I turn around quickly as the cell door closed. "If y9u were s9rry, then why did y9u still 96ey her?" I ask bitterly. The 'slave' in front of me had a battered and highly bruised body, and her hair was ratty. The dress she was forced to wear was black, but had many stains of brown and fuchsia. Why fuchsia? If she fought the Condesce, she would have died. "I did it so that neither of us will die," I heard her say in a strong voice. "After all, we both aim for the same goals." She fiddled with the key in her hand. "I didn't lock the cell, but it would be stupid of you to try to escape now, Signless." I scoff and sit on the ground, my legs crossing over each other. "If y9u kn9w my name, then y9u must kn9w why I must n9t waste time in here." I say in a rude voice. She slipped the key through her fingers nimbly. "Yes, I do know, but you'd just be here longer and in worse shape if you leave now. Besides, Psii would never let you leave without assistance." The girl looked familiar. She held herself like one of my followers and she talked about the others with such ease. "Wh9 are y9u?" I question. She rolls her eyes and leans against the wall facing the door of the cell. "Nice to know that you can't remember even a simple face," She said sarcastically. "But I guess I can't expect that. I have been gone for sweeps." She took one of her rather long nails and picked at an old cut. "Hey, d9n't harm y9urself, that's n9t-!" Her blood was fuchsia. Not that dark, royal fuchsia that the Condesce has, no, she had a bright fuchsia. I rack my brain. About three sweeps ago, we had a girl the same blood as her. She was the moirail of the Psiionic. "H9w are y9u n9t dead, Y/n?" I say with awe. She chuckled and went closer to the cell. "Why do you think I was always training?" I shook my head. I cannot help but admire the troll with her strength. "When d9 y9u plan t9 get us 9ut?" I whisper, just in case a guard were to pop out. "It will be a while, Signless." She sighs and rubs her head. "Please endure everything." "Y/N, G--ET YOUR FISHY ASS UP )(--ER--E, GILFROND!" She sighs and attempts to smile. "I promise to come down here and devise a plan as much as I can. Goodbye." I say goodbye as well, watching the mutant walk away. The only mutant besides myself I have ever known.
"Y/n, it's been two weeks." I weave my hand through my hands frustratingly. "I know, I know." The girl was marching on dead feet, her eyes with large bags underneath them and her bruises more vibrant. I want to get her out of here, I need her to be safe with me! "I think I can get... us out tonight." She paused before say 'us', and instantly I think of the bad situations. "What d9 y9u mean 6y the pause?" I ask sharply. She sighs and leans on the wall facing the cell, a brief break for her feet. "I meant nothing by it. Do not be worried." She says. I shake my head and look at her with sadness. I do not think I could handle things if she did not get out with me. "I'll see you tonight, be ready and awake," She says, putting force into her words. I nod and the guards come by to check on us. "Now make sure you shut the fuck up, okay?" Y/n says, her words sounding harsher. She acts horridly to me once the guards come by. "You know I have the power to talk to the Condesce about your death." She spat on the side of my cell and the guards take her up to the Condesce. Apparently, she was one of her favorites. I looked at her one last time and saw her mouth 'tonight.' I nod and slink back into my corner. I must get out of here. I must get out of here with Y/n.
"I told you to stay awake, you wriggler." I heard the familiar voice whisper. I must have nodded off from the silence in the cell. I stand up quickly and see that Y/n was kneeling down, looking at me. "S9rry." In the dark I could see her eyes roll and she takes my hand. "Come." We walked through a series of passages, a complicated maze of blank walls. "The castle has only one secret exit, and it is not seen by the guards." She pushes me out and the cold air of the evening makes me shiver a little. I wrap my cape around me tightly. "The Summoner has a beast waiting outside, I had contacted him." She looks at me with a soft gaze. "I don't want to see you in the cell again, okay Signless?" Her smile made me stunned. She never had smiled to me before. "What d9 y9u mean?" I ask in a forceful tone. "Y9u are t9 c9me with me." She had sad eyes shining in the moonlight. She shakes her head. "I can station here a little longer. Lead them on. Say that you escaped to the desert land." I nod. A sacrifice for the revolution. A sacrifice that made me feel selfish; she needed her freedom, and you could see the hunger in her eyes as she looked out at the land in front of us. "Just don't forget me again, okay?" She asked. "Now go! Before I get into trouble!" She began to run off, but I caught her arm. She turned back and I leaned in.
Her lips were a little chapped and I could tell she was surprised. I felt her melt into the kiss and I didn't want her to leave. Suddenly. a yell could her heard from the throne room. "I must go," She said breaking away. "Go, I can't see you in the cell again." I nodded numbly and saw the beast waiting for me. I climbed onto its back and Y/n ran into the castle once more. I jolt the beast and it rushed off, the camp. It should have been both of us on the back. We should have been together and riding away to our freedom.
Alternia was at peace. The Condesce has surrendered, and Mindfang had lost her powers. The highbloods lost. I sit in the infirmary, exhausted and hurt. I had gotten a chunk of me taken by a highblood with a knife. It will heal soon so instead of staying still, like the healer would have liked me to, I went to find someone. "S9mmuner!" I called. He was flying loop-de-loops in the ari from victory and he greeted me back with cheer. "Yo, S1gnless." He patted my back and I grunted in pain. "Whatcha need?" "I must find Y/n." He shook his head. "You have to be horns over heels for th1s doll, huh?" I unconsciously nod and he roars in laughter. "Good th1ng she 1s the same w1th you." I look at him sharply. "What d9 y9u mean 6y that?" He grins, obviously pleased with himself. "Go to Dolorosa's room. She's talki1ng w1th her, catch1ng up after all those sweeps." I thank him and run as fast as possible with a wound. I open the curtain of the Dolorosa's tent and the troll next to her left me stunned. She had a cast of her blood color and her hair was longer. Her clothes were still tatter, consider that she was in battle not to long ago, but they didn't have too much dried blood on them. "Y?N!" I shout and stumble over to her. She paused in her conversation and looked at me with sparkling eyes. "Signless you shit, you should be in the infirmary," She grumbles, walking over to me. I laugh and hug her tight. I saw Dolorosa slip out the tent and I was left alone with her. My Y/n. She smiled at me sweetly, but her eyes went as sharp as daggers. "Sit down right now." I obey, a little frightened. "I know adrenaline rushes and make the pain go away, and I know it's been a while since we've seen each other, but that does not mean you risk your health!" She scolds, but she was smiling. I raise my arms up to her and she rolls her eyes. She sits with me and cuddles up to me. "I'm just glad y9u're alive," I mumble, placing kisses on her forehead and hair. "Same here, Signless." I heard her say. I laugh once more and leveled our faces. "Y/n, I am s9 deeply flushed f9r y9u, and 9n that day that y9u f9rced me t9 leave y9u, I died." I said quietly. She chuckled and I blushed a little. "Okay, enough with the romance. I am flushed for you too." She placed her arms around my neck and kissed me hard. I kissed back, my arms wrapped around her waist and in her hair. When we broke apart, we were a little breathless and flushed in our blood colors. I wince a little from the pain in my cut, and I try to play it off. It doesn't go unpassed. "My Gog Signless, you are such an idiot." She rolls her eyes once more and helps me up. "I swear, the Dolorosa was right about you being reckless." I chuckle and place my arm around her waist. "I'm guessing we're heading t9wards the infirmary?" I ask bemusedly. She nods tiredly and leans into me. "If you don't get treated right now, no kissing, no cuddling, no anything." I shiver and drag her towards the infirmary. She chuckles and kisses me lightly as a healer patches me up. "I am flushed for you." I say. "I am flushed for you as well."
